Oooh, boy~! Nothing like a happy wedding to finish the year.

As always, Portal-X was a dapper fellow. Dressed in his finest suit (his finest) and sporting a vibrant cyan tie, the Portal Deity had wasted no expense for tonight's wonderful occasion. Why, he even bothered to spit shine his shoes with the very saliva in his mouth! A wonderful occasion, indeed. If only the Portal Deity's knowledge of matrimony was as polished as he looked.

"Hm, how to officiate a wedding..." Goodness! Though, to be quite fair, it has been a long time since Portal Breach observed a wedding. Perhaps the Portal Deity was required to supervise the two parties? Groomsmen and bridesmaids, or something like that. It was all very mysterious! But, how to be in two places at once? Tut! What a silly question. The answer was obvious when one was as fabulous as he. With a snap of his fingers and a flick of his wrist, Portal-X tore himself in half. Literally! Oh it was a horrendous medley of ripping sinew and cracking bones, but the end result was incredibly worth the ghastly sight. Two Portal-Xs for the meager price of one! "My, my! You're looking rather fetching today, old chap!" praised one half to the other. "Why thank you, good sir! I can happily say the same for yourself." Yes, yes. That was enough tomfoolery. There was a service to be done! The two halves shook hands and parted ways, their synchronized steps approaching both parties at exactly the same moment.

"Are you ready, my dears?" asked one to the boys.

"How about you, my fair ladies? We are soon to begin!" said one to the gals.

Together, the merry pair coordinated their efforts posthaste. "Come come, come come! We mustn't tarry," urged they, gesturing for the wedding party to shuffle along. "Groomsmen with the bridesmaids, bridesmaids with the groomsmen! The former first and then the latter... Maid of Honor last! Do we have an even number?" Hm, well... no. No, they did not. But that was surely fine! Portal-X didn't think an arthrmetic oversight would kill anybody. ...Er, he hoped.

Anyway, on to the show wedding!

One half addressed Spenst, "Ah, the lucky fellow! Take your place beside your best man and be ready. We'll be at the altar soon enough!"

While another respectfully tipped his hat to Olabisi. "Ah, the blushing bride! Patience, patience. You will exchange vows soon enough, but you must wait a pinch longer." Tradition, you know?

Again, Spenst had been grooming himself in the mirror, only to have his attention stolen by a familiar voice. He knew that voice anywhere. The Ectonurite turned around, startled, but not entirely surprised by what he saw. There, in the dressing room, was half an X. Seriously, he was going to have to learn sooner or later to never question these things with the Portal Deity. The ghostly alien gulped, once again looking to his groomsmen for reassurance.

"Yeah, I guess we're ready," he responded. "Now, you both remember the file-in order from rehearsal, right? And Shai, you do have the ring?

Spenst let out a sigh of relief as the avian doctor showed him the ring. It was still totally spotless. After pocketing the ring once more, Shaiamils give him a little spritz of his cologne. A nice finishing touch! And then the processional music started...

"Alright, that's our cue," the alien announced to them, laughing nervously. "Let's get this show on the road!"

Without further ado, Spenst made his way to the altar, taking his place at the right side just as rehearsed.

"Come on Spenst, everything is going to be just fine," Shaiamils assured him, pocketing the ring. "You and I both know it, and I'm sure Kev does too. Now, what say we get you out there to meet your bride, hm?"

Before they all started filing out, the feathery alien spritzed the groom with some of his cologne. It was the good stuff, too! Ola was sure to love it. Before he entered the chapel, Shai took a brief moment to silently muse about the processional music. November Rain, huh? A fitting choice for a wedding taking place on the last day of November! It was definitely a good thing that they went with an instrumental, though.

As the doctor slowly made his way to the altar, he could not help but sneak a wave at Scaramouche and Fear. The robot, he knew for sure was going to be here. Fear, however, was a bit up in the air. It was nice to see that he could make it!

While Spenst was primping in the mirror again, Kev was glancing around for a chair to sit in. Just for a moment to rest his leggies before they step out--oh! Half of an X peered in to talk to them, literally half. It was as if he'd been torn apart! Why did he look like that...? Perhaps the other X was talking to the bride? In any case, the former alien gave him a cheery wave. "You look lovely, X! Digging that half of the tie." Who needed a priest when you have the Portal Deity himself to officiate the wedding? He shuffled as directed, feeling a little anxious as he found himself rather clueless. Good thing he wasn't the best man, all he had to do was walk and he was set! Being a groomsman was so easy.

"Now, you both remember the file-in order from rehearsal, right?"

Provided, of course, that he didn't screw this up. Then it'd be truly easy. Kev waved a hand, chuckling uneasily. "Sure, sure! Of course!" Suppose following behind Shai would be fine. Just gotta do what everybody else is doing! He could have sworn the last wedding he'd been to had the groomsmen and bridesmaids walk in together whereas this seemed single file. Granted, that ceremony had also been in the shores of the beach whereas this was in a lovely chapel. Every wedding was different! "Shai's right, this is going to be great! There's no way anything bad can happen. Not unless like...you trip on the way out there, which is impossible since you can float."

Oh, and there was the music. Not recognizing it in this form, Kev assumed that it was the typical piano music. He peeked to see how Shai had done it, walking slowly down to the altar. Once it was his turn, he followed behind and tried to replicate the bird alien's pace. Slow and steady! As he did, he lightly glanced to see who all had come. There was a very shiny Knock Out, Anjeet with her fuzzy tail and lovely dress! Dominick in a very unique attire. Scaramouche, who looked very jazzy and handsome! Bailey and Korra, the both of them like two lovely peas in a pod. And his little family, Fear and Livewire! Her hair was looking lovely, her attire both cozy and befitting a wedding. The burly redhead was looking quite dashing in his suit, who knew gunmetal could look so good on him? Kev bit his lip lightly, waving to his partner and daughter for a moment before he took his place by Shai and Spenst.

"Oh, hey there, uhh... X?" Marissa was confused. This was X, right? Or at least half of X? "If it were up to me, I would say that we were all ready to go. But I'm not the bride, of course. What do you say, Ola?"

It felt as if the monstress' heart skipped a beat when she heard the processional music start. Ready or not, the boys were probably already making their way down the isle. There were butterflies in her stomach now. This was it, the moment that she had been waiting on for months. It was finally here!

"Looks like we're up, everyone," the tauric monster said to the others as X ushered them out. "Good luck, Ola. Not that you'll need luck, though. And don't you worry. I've got the ring right here~"

Marissa tucked the ring away before entering the chapel. Slow and steady, she thought to herself, just like you practiced! Oh hey, there was Knock Out! As the furry monster took her place at the altar, she shot him a wave, barely suppressing a giggle.

Post by Lunette on Tue Dec 05, 2017 10:25 pm

You know, Lunette hadn't been to a lot of weddings. Not really as a bridesmaid or even a guest of honor! More so a random patron that got invited through a friend... So it was all a little confusing to her. While encouraging Olabisi wasn't very hard or too bad, it was when they began to be ushered out that caused the Anitra to feel nauseous. Not that she would vomit or anything, but not knowing what to do didn't help her much. She'd just follow and smile, hoping her actions weren't deemed incorrect or, at least, sacrilegious.

Lunette smoothed her dress out and kept her hands in front of her as she followed the other ladies, hoping she was doing things right. Instead of a smile, it was sort of a forced one, one that looked awkward and kind of unnatural. Wait, wasn't Marissa supposed to go last? Didn't one half of X (who looked lovely either way) say so? Or was this something else? Ooh, it was so hard to focus! So hard to understand what to do when there was so much going on! Lunette cringed a little, face scrunching up until--

    Oh!
Oh, there was Scaramouche! Sitting and watching everyone enter... he looked so handsome. The catwoman wished to leave her spot to go up and give her love a kiss and a hug, but alas... she remained following, and soon, her smile turned natural, turned real, as she subtly gave the android a small wave and a playful wink. She'd be seeing him later~ A warmth grew in her body that seemed to melt the anxiety away, and Lunette glanced around to see Knock Out in an adorable tie, and also Fear and Livewire! Bailey and Korra (and Creamer) too! Ahh! It was so nice to see them all here! Small waves were given to them in greeting, and while she'd love to tell them how wonderful each and every one of them looked, she couldn't at the moment.

Nope, gotta focus! Gotta follow the procedure...

Seeing how Ola was positively beaming at the compliments she was getting from them Nyreena smiled happily at that, feeling glad that Ola was feeling wonderful. "Don't worry Ola. You're going to be fabulous. It'll be over before you know it and the next thing you'll know you'll be blissfully wed to the love of your life." Then hearing X's voice as he checked in on them she turned to look and quickly had to do a double take to make sure that she was seeing what she was really seeing. She was sure that it was a half of Portal X but to her it was the strangest way of duplicating oneself in her opinion.

Quickly recovering she nodded in agreement to his inquirement she then heard the processional music starting and quickly got herself ready in place for her turn to walk. When it came time she put on a bright smile and stepped into the chapel, seeing all who had come to see her friends get married. In the back was the ever dashing Knock Out in a nice tie, the fabulous Scaramouch looking quite dapper as always in his suit and hat, Fear and Livewire sitting together, and then there was her ever wonderful Dominick looking so handsome in his outfit. To her it fit him since he was comfortable in dark clothing and the neck tie was almost reminiscent to the time period he came from.

Giving Dominick a wink as she passed by she stepped up on the alter and took her place, watching the doors for when Ola stepped in and excited to see Spenst's reaction to see what his wife to be looked like.

Olabisi put a gold hair pin in her bun and gave herself a little spritz of perfume before grabbing the bouquet. The bridesmaids were heading out, and it was almost time for her to come in and make her grand entrance. The mummy stood near the chapel entrance, composing herself as Nyreena was about to enter. And then the final bridesmaid went in... This was it! The moment of truth had finally arrived. The chapel doors flung open and the announcement to please stand for the bride could be heard.

Slowly but surely, the blushing bride made her way down the aisle, perfectly timing herself to the ending of the processional music. Spenst's reaction to her, just as predicted, was glorious. The Ectonurite tried to cover it up, but she could totally see the tears streaming from his eyes and down his cheeks. The sight of it was enough to make her misty-eyed as well. He was just so precious carrying on like that in his handsome tux and that adorable hat. THIS was the one that Ola had fallen in love with, and she was having NO regrets.

And so, as the music faded out, the Thep Khufan took her place to the left of the altar, face to face with the love of her life.

It would seem that Mochi was the same old robot as he had ever been, even at an occasion such as a wedding, and Anjeet loved it. A blush came to the tiny alien's face as he complimented her dress. Never change, Mochi. Never ever change.

"Thank you~" she responded to his compliments.

Before long, the Jawa reclaimed her seat in one of the front pews. Fortunately for her, nobody seemed to mind that she had picked a spot in the front. They probably realized that, given her diminutive stature, she probably would not have been able to see the ceremony otherwise. Some music started, and the groom made his way in. It was some nice music, and the groom looked none to shabby as well. Ola sure was a lucky one!

Following in after him was the rest of the wedding party. Anjeet internally oohed and ahhed as she admired their outfits. Spenst was right, Ola really did have a knack for this kind of thing! And then the bride came in, and everyone was instructed to stand. The fuzzy alien did so, and could not resist the urge to gawk at her getup. Yup, when it came to fashion, the bride really did know what she was doing!

Once everyone was instructed to sit back down, again, she followed directions. Anjeet watched intently, super eager for the kiss that was sure to come at the end of the ceremony.

In came Dominick, dressed in a dark suit that reminded him of the pirate costume, except more formal. A fan of dark colors. It certainly looked quite fancy, and he felt a little under-dressed. It wasn't like a suit would fit well over his chassis anyway. Knock Out noted the curious lack of Nyreena with him, perhaps she was a bridesmaid? She seemed well-acquainted with Spenst and Olabisi! As the gentleman continued towards the front row to sit, the mech return the wave. No sooner had his servo began to drop back down to the pew did a certain honking nightingale decide to saunter on inside.

"Ooh, Knock Out, you dashin' scoundrel, you~!"

No song could sound sweeter on Scaramouche's lips! Smirking proudly at such praise, Knock Out puffed out his chassis in such a way that the lights would reflect off of his paint juuuust right! His helm cocked to the side, allowing the same for the finial atop his head to catch a good flicker of candle flame. "Perhaps I know because our tastes intersect! I love to dazzle myself~ Though I must admit..." Crimson optics roamed the other robot, from the delightful spats to that jazzy little hat! "You make clothing on a robot look very appealing. You look like you should be singing with Frank Sinatra!" The mech praised with a purr. At the compliment to his little bow tie, he pinched the side of it between two talons and lightly tugged, almost bashful. Not bad for his first attempt at formality, eh? "Thank you kindly, Scaramouche~ Lunette's a lucky lady to have a crooner like you." He waved at the robot's form as he continued to mosey, feeling like a lobster that had been well and truly buttered. If he was sweet-talking Knock Out like this, he could only imagine the compliments Lunette had been given....

...Wait. Where was Lunette? Metal brows furrowed, glancing around the room as more and more people filed in. Bailey and Korra, the both of them looking complimentary and pretty. Knock Out gave the both of them a wave and a smile, especially the redhead as he remembered her as being quite favorable. Another ginger stepped in, though this one more muscular with a young girl in tow. Fear looked sharp, and Livewire was quite lovely despite the stoic look on her face. Sweaters didn't normally go with a dress, but it just looked too appropriate on her. He waved a bit more enthusiastically to them, lips quirking as the young human waved back with a colorful little notebook in hand. 'Love', huh? Fitting enough for a wedding. Among them he found yet another strange absence, namely a certain purse that tended to hang off of Fear when he was a burly human. Perhaps they were members of the wedding party too...?

Music began to play and it seemed that the mech's questions would soon be answered. First to appear down the aisle was Spenst, dressed in a white suit with a matching hat. That must have taken a while to find! Similar to Livewire's sweater, it didn't look like it normally fit a wedding and yet something about it seemed right. The alien was definitely looking clean and handsome as he took his place at the altar. Next came Shai, in a rather dapper little suit. He was beginning to detect a little theme with the gold, and it looked quite nice! The black contrasted nicely with his feathers. Next was a certain human in the same attire, but Knock Out could recognize that dorky face anywhere. So they all must have turned human for the holidays, seemed like it was tradition by this point.

Next came Marissa, the monster no doubt on cloud nine. She'd been so excited when she first got the text about this wedding, as well as being a bridesmaid! What a lovely golden gown. He returned the wave with a genuine smile, he found her excitement a little contagious! Behind her came Lunette, who looked anxious and awkward despite looking so beautiful. Oof...maybe this was the first wedding she'd ever taken part in? Had to be a lot of pressure. Knock Out frowned, a little worried as she passed by his spot. Once she reached the altar, the cat-woman seemed more natural and at ease. The hard part was over for her now, right? All she had to do was stand! He waved back, giving her a subtle thumb's up before politely looking to see who was next. There was the last missing member, Nyreena! The dress was lovely on her as well, and her blue hair was pulled into an elegant side-ponytail. That gown was a real winner, managing to look fabulous on every woman despite how different they all were in species and coloration.

When instructed to stand, Knock Out managed to pull himself up without much trouble. Such thick and pointy knees were a little inconvenient in tight places... In came the bride, her bandage hair pulled up in a bun and adorned in an Egyptian style dress. The bouquet caught his attention, almost rivaling his finish for shininess! Ooh! Were those real flower, metal, or merely spray-painted? Whatever the case, Olabisi looked beautiful. Shifting his gaze towards his employee, he could already see him blubbering. This meant the vows and final 'I do's were going to be amazing to watch, he just knew it. Settling himself back down to sit again, the mech fought the urge to clap. The show was only just getting started, unbelievably enough! Hollywood really couldn't capture such a feeling in their films.

As he was getting himself settled Dominick quickly heard the very familiar sound of the one and only Scaramouch as he made his way in and greeted Knock Out first before moving on to the rest of them that had gathered. He then watched as Scaramouch, in his usual fashion, introduced himself before speaking to Anjeet before him and he nodded to the compliment. And yes, he did noticed how the android looked at him and made the memory of what happened on Halloween flood back into his mind. "Hello Scaramouch. And thank you." Unable to help but smirk the dhamphir chuckled as he adjusted his neck tie. "Well, and this is coming from Nyreena, she figured that with this we can compliment each other once we were together again. To her I was the... oh how did she put it... oh yes. I was the calming night to her exuberant day. Well, I improvised that last part but that's what she generally said." Then seeing the android get crestfallen as he held his hat on his chest Dominick gave him a comforting look. "Oh Scaramouch, don't be that way. Of course we have something special between each other. I'll let you talk it out with Nyreena if you wish about the choice in my attire for the evening." Nodding once more the dhampir gently smiled. "Of course. And I'm sure we will. See you later, Scaramouch."

Watching Scaramouch walk off to mingle with the other guests Dominick looked around and noticed that Bailey and Korra came in next, smiling as they took their seat and gave them a wave hello. Then came in a rather tall ginger-haired man and the young girl that he had seen from time to time in the Sanctuary and nodded hello as they took their seats together.

And just a few moments later the processional music began to play, marking the beginning of the ceremony. Watching as the groom and his men entered he nodded to them and gave Spenst a congratulatory smile as he did. Then as the bridesmaids came in he smiled as he one passed, giving Nyreena bigger smile and a wink as she passed and watched as she took her place with the others. Then as the moment came for everyone to stand he got to his feet and adjusted his suit and waited for Ola to make her entrance. Watching as she entered in he thought that she was quite beautiful and glancing back at Spenst he smiled as he saw the ghost like alien was quite impressed by his wife to be. Once Ola was standing on the alter he sat back down in his seat and made himself comfortable to watch the ceremony progress with a gentle smile on his lips.

    Rub elbows: check.

    Inspect the premises: check.

Flirt like it's going out of style: double-check, baby!

Appeased with his general tomfoolery (for now), Scaramouche moseyed toward the chairs and grabbed one for himself. The first row proved tempting, but the android knew better. He found the third row perfectly suitable for his needs; not too close but not too distant. Besides, the more immediate rows were typically for family and close friends. Scaramouche thought himself neither.

"Hey Uncle Mochi! Looking great, I love how those colors are looking!"

Ooh, yes~! Another opportunity to schmooze. "Hey, kid~!" the robot greeted warmly. He turned at the waist and spotted none other than the Avatar herself shuffling over. But what's this? There was a freckled bonus! "Aw, look at ya both~! Your dresses are absolutely darb!" And fairly color-coordinated, which was a gigantic plus in his books. "...Oh, where's Lu?" Right! Time not to reveal just how miserable the android was. "She's currently with the weddin' party!" Scaramouche happily explained. "She's a bridesmaid, so she'll be comin' out with the rest of Olabisi's gals. Also, I know what you're thinkin'." He placed a hand upon his chest and sniffed, "How could I, the fabulous Scaramouche, not be part of the weddin' party? Hon~! I just don't know. Them's the breaks, I guess!" Salty robot was salty, but only a pinch. He was truthfully more distressed about his separation from Lunette... "A-Anyway, I'm sure the ceremony is gonna start soon!" the robot added, trying very hard not to crack his cheerful facade. Anxiety sucks! "Why don't ya dames grab a few chairs and get comfy?" Good timing on his behalf, too.

A familiar tune suddenly began to play - very familiar - and Scaramouche found himself glancing around like a confused bird. Left, right, left, right - but! ...Where was the music coming from and who was playing it? Also, Guns N' Roses? ...An instrumental Guns N' Roses, no string quartet or organist? "Huh! Must be, like, a millennial thin' or somethin'," Scaramouche reasoned. Definitely new. Ah, here comes the groom and his groomsmen! Goodness~! They all looked so dashing in their tuxes, especially the groom in that sharp white jacket. ...Wait, white!?

Slowly, ever so slowly, the android glanced down at his formal ensemble and just... "Well shit," he muttered in disbelief. Goddamn it, Scaramouche committed the one thing he absolutely did not want to commit: a wedding faux pas! Him, a stickler for etiquette and tradition! Talk about a major bummer, babe! How tacky was it wearing the exact same color as the freaking groom!? A deflated sigh escaped his metal throat, "Ugh... talk about embarrassin'." Well, at least Spenst's jacket was of a different cut and had gold accents. That slightly elevated Scaramouche's spirits but only by so much. He meekly returned Shai's furtive wave and wore a tiny crooked smile.

Wearing the same color as the groom was simply unacceptable. The robot should be tried and hung for - oh, was that Lunette~? A very nervous Lunette, but she looked positively gorgeous! Just as with her, the android felt his previous dolor - tacky! tacky! - ebb away and Scaramouche no longer chastised himself.

    ...Much.

He flashed the Anitra an encouraging smile and made a pixelated - ♥️ - on his LED display, letting her know that she was doing fabulously. Soon, Lunette, soon...

One by one the bridesmaids entered and took their positions beside the altar, with the Maid of Honor being last. And if the Maid of Honor had just finished walking down the aisle... The announcement came for them to rise and Scaramouche eagerly stood up with a hop in his step, turning to witness the blushing bride. Ooh, an Egyptian-styled dress. Hence all the gold! Scaramouche had been wondering... It went without saying that the groom went to pieces upon seeing his future wife. Good pieces, though! Crying wasn't flattering but hey, what better time to cry than at your own wedding? "What a goober~!" Scaramouche whispered, his grin toothy and wide. Yes, sir! Olabisi and Spenst were two peas in a pod.

Post by Bailey and Creamer on Sat Dec 09, 2017 7:29 pm

Creamer, the sassy-pants that he was, decided that he didn’t need to go in. If he was not wanted then FINE. He would sit out here, among the rocks. He didn’t care about any stupid hand-fastening ritual. He didn’t care a bit. These rocks were far more interesting to him than any social event. He didn’t care at all that he wasn’t invited to participate in this. He’d rather be at home, watching his show.

    The news was a show.

Bailey couldn’t help but roll her eyes as she dealt with the slight echos of what she was pretty damn sure was some high-grade petulance rolling off of her demon from outside.   When she had first started…knowing, Creamer’s feelings, it had been difficult. She couldn’t tell them apart.

But after some time just thinking about it, and keeping an eye on him, she felt she could at least kind-of consistently keep his part separated from her own?  It was…it was a work in progress. A work in severe, slow-going progress. But, with this?  Why would she be irritated at a wedding?!  This was nice! Nerve-wracking to her still-unpolished social graces, but still nice.

She looked at Korra, smiling when she confirmed that she hadn’t been to a wedding either. Look at them, these two nerds, not being invited to weddings. Bailey blushed a bit, ducking her head down a slight amount even as her smile brightened. ”I’m glad that you’re my date to our first wedding, too~”  She shrugged her shoulders after they both glanced around. Honestly, she wasn’t exactly sure when the marriage part was supposed to start either. ”I think there’s a musical cue? Like…pipes, or something? Pipe organ? I think that’s how it was done on my world, I don’t know…if it’s like that here.” She shrugged a bit, helplessly. She didn’t know!  When Korra pointed out their favorite match-making Uncle, Bailey didn’t even try to temper down the large smile that spread across her face.  ”Hi!”, accompanied by a very enthusiastic wave. He looked so nice in suits. He looked nicer than most people she knew in suits. The gal blinked when her date pointed out Scaramouch’s…lack of one. Where WAS Lunette?  She barely noticed when others entered after them. Except…

The Scotsman and his ADORABLE little girl! She looked over towards them, managing a slight wave. Kev had mentioned, briefly, how Fear would look while human. And…and damn he was not exaggerating about the muscles. Thankfully, Bailey had the prettiest muscly gal as her date, and thus was not distracted. She offered the two of them a little wave before turning her attention back to the room. She gave another enthusiastic wave to Knock Out, the dashing (she was still trying to figure out why he was so attractive. Was she attracted to robots? Was…what was happening there?) robot that ran the Drive-In. She was happy to see him here as well!

The look-around done, she turned her attention back to Mochi. He seemed a little um…down. Hm. With a look to Korra, she gently tugged on the Avatar’s hand as she made her way over to where the Great and Wonderful Scaramouch was seated. Surely her girlfriend wouldn’t mind? He was the one that got them together, after all! And he was just a really, really good uncle.

Now seated, and just in time! Bailey smoothed out the front of her dress some as the music turned on. That…didn’t sound like the traditional-oh, duh. This wasn’t a wedding in her world. Why would anything be traditional?  But there was no time to get hung up about that, they were arriving! Bailey smiled brightly as the wedding procession began, so excited! She wasn’t exactly sure what was going on, but people were here and they all looked SO NICE, each and every one of them, and the couple were happy and Spenst was crying and it was just…it was just so happy in here.

Outside, Creamer was dry-heaving over a bush. The bush did not ask for this, the bush was having a hard enough time preparing for winter. The bush did not have any obligation to be a demons’s sick-pot, but the bush’s opinion was not considered. The bush was used to this sort of dismissal.
Creamer didn’t give a flying fuck about the bush’s feelings.

It was just so great!, and they hadn’t even gotten to the good part yet!

Re: Ring in the Wedding Bells

Post by Korra on Sat Dec 09, 2017 11:15 pm

Giggling softly, Korra winked at her bedazzling date. "Promise to be my date for the next one, whenever that is?~" She had a feeling that Scaramouche and Lunette were gonna eventually hook up! Whether it was next year or five years from now, there was no way they were going to miss out! "A musical cue? Okay... So we just have to keep an ear out!" Honestly, she had almost expected for the wedding to have some sort of hand gesture cue like in a game of probending. Much easier to miss than a pipe organ. With a quick glance around to assure herself that yes, there was no music starting just yet, she refocused back on Bailey and Scaramouche. Not a bad turn out! ...Not that Korra had anything to compare it too but there seemed to be a good amount of people in her eyes.

"Thank you, Uncle Mochi!" Korra beamed back at him proudly. She hadn't had the liberty of arriving here with any dresses, and definitely not the sort of dresses she owned back home. The mall wasn't exactly lacking in choices though! Even if it was a different style than she was used to, the Avatar was pleased with the results! Only news of Lunette could make such a grin droop into a concerned pout. "Wedding party...?" Wasn't this the wedding party? Whatever a 'bridesmaid' was, it seemed to mean Lunette wouldn't be out here with them until the rest of them and Olabisi came out. It was still an odd prospect but Korra nodded all the same.
"Sorry about those breaks, Scaramouche. I wouldn't have had just one of you guys involved in something like this, but...!" The young woman shrugged easily. What's done is done. Though that did leave the robot without anybody to sit with! As he ushered them both to sit before the ceremony began, Bailey had apparently come to the same conclusion. Her answer was a cheerful smile, nodding eagerly as she joined her girlfriend in sitting with their metal uncle. "Hope you don't mind some company!" There'd be no getting rid of them until Lunette was by his side! ...And probably not even then~!

Exactly as Bailey had explained, lovely sounding music began to play! Good timing on their part! Unsure where to look, the young woman swiveled herself to look towards the back, where people were entering one by one! Some of them familiar, some not, all looking quite handsome or beautiful! Spenst's appearance drew a strange reaction from Scaramouche. Was it bad that they were wearing similar jackets? She'd heard of something similar regarding dresses... Leaning close to Uncle Mochi and Bailey, Korra whispered out of the corner of her mouth "Lunette looks amazing! I like how your tie and vest match her.~" A shame about the faux pas, but it wasn't a total failure! She nearly missed the demand to stand, openly confused until the bride came striding in! Ooh, Olabisi looked elegant! Now that everybody was accounted for, she couldn't wait to see what was gonna happen!

Re: Ring in the Wedding Bells

Post by Fear on Sun Dec 10, 2017 11:53 am

”If you get drinks, I want a juice.”

    "Deal."

As with the demure lass beside him, Fear was largely... uncomfortable with the modest gathering around them. So many bodies, so many potential threats. Ever so slightly, almost imperceptible to the naked eye, one of his fingers twitched for the comfort of a weapon that wasn't there. Silly. Silly, silly, silly, Fear chastised himself. This was a wedding. A wedding held in the protective boundaries of Portal City. No one was going to suddenly attack and try to claim their lives. Releasing a soft breath through his nose, Fear urged his nerves to calm themselves. Everything was going to be just fine. After all, Kev himself trusted these people; enough so that he was included in their wedding party. That alone brought Fear solace, along with Bailey's friendly wave. An odd sort, that freckled Irish gal. Was her demon here? Probably. He returned her wave and felt more at ease in his own skin.

...Not the processional music, though. That... er, that was something else entirely. "Guns n' Roses?" Honestly, he was just as shocked as you were, Scaramouche. While not a traditional piece, Fear supposed it was all a matter of taste. Strange taste, but taste nonetheless. "Must be a millennial thing," he muttered softly. Fear would rather die than break tradition at his wedding. And if Kev so much as suggested ABBA, even once, he was going to strangle him.

In any event, the groom at last made his grand appearance and so followed his well-dressed groomsmen. An awkward feeling crawled up Fear's spine. Spenst was the groom. Olabisi was the bride.

    Olabisi.

    Fear had once killed Olabisi.

The irony wasn't lost on the redhead, but he at least had the common decency to return Shai's wave. And look, there was Kev~! Oh my, he looked quite dapper. Whatever awkwardness that remained was effortlessly banished by the blossoming warmth spreading throughout Fear's rosy cheeks. Aw, Kev looked so cute up there, smiling and waving... What an innocent dork. Though it was unbecoming of him, the usually stoic man couldn't help but smile. It was a petite smile, shy and tame, but it crawled up Fear's pale face nevertheless. He sat there happily and felt like falling in love all over again. "He looks so cute." Alas, he couldn't fixate on Kev forever. That'd be quite rude, no? Soon it was time for the bridesmaids and Fear instantly recognized a certain beer mom. "Aw, look at Miss Kitty..." Poor thing appeared so anxious and out of her element. Could he blame her, though? The Anitra was undoubtedly oblivious to more 'human' traditions. "I'm happy seeing her out and about. It's been a while, hm?" Fear addressed his Bumblebee softly. Truly, today so far proved itself joyous and lighthearted. And now, the moment they all had been waiting for, the bride.

Fear rose when commanded, the muscular fellow smoothing out his dress jacket as he turned to witness Olabisi glide down the aisle in true matrimonial style. The awkward sensation once again crept up his spine and obnoxiously made itself known, but he pointedly ignored it for the time being. Checkered past or not, Olabisi really did look beautiful. The perfect bride and other half to Spenst. There was also her bouquet, which Fear was absolutely certain Kev eyeballed like no tomorrow.

"Woe betide anyone who catches the bouquet before him," he chuckled.
