    WEAPONS





    Name: Toccata

    Type: Arabian-style scimitar (sword)

    Appearance: An eccentric blade for an eccentric owner. Toccata is a curved sword of exotic origins and far older than the artificial intelligence that wields it. The scimitar is silver in body and weighted at the bottom, broadening at its tip and meticulously sharpened to a lethal point. Its hilt is a burnished bronze in color. Due to the blade's large size, Toccata is heavy and cumbersome to wield proficiently; and, in the hands of a novice, the blade is often all too eager in correcting those who disrespect it. Toccata is lovingly cared for at the hands of Scaramouche, who enjoys the scimitar's dazzling gleam beneath afternoon suns and intimidating his marks with its sheer size.

    Description: Hailing from ancient times long buried underneath the scorching sands of a post-apocalyptic Middle East, Toccata's curved edge has sundered many a foe in twain and tasted its fair share of bloodshed. It is a regal blade proudly forged by the hands of a forgotten master and wielded with inhuman precision only a machine can boast. A lover and collector of art, Scaramouche "acquired" the blade during one of his many assassinations; a nomadic warlord who angered one too many wealthy elites with his proclivity for stealing cattle, oil, and virgin daughters. Toccata is the much larger and heftier partner to Fugue, and is the first to "touch" enemies. Unlike Fugue, however, Toccata is bereft of magical properties and its efficacy depends solely on the android's unique skill set.

    Specifics: 2d/1c per swing



    Name: Fugue

    Type: Weaponized tuning fork (dagger)

    Appearance: The antithesis to Toccata, Fugue is frail and much smaller. It is a bisected magical dagger and seemingly pitiful in shape and size, but nevertheless deadly. The unusual blade is silver in color and a slender ribbon of dyed silk waves freely from its pommel. When activated or struck, it produces a curious, intensifying hum...

    Description: Whereas its twin is enriched by history and war, Fugue is the younger and more sheltered of Scaramouch's dueling blades. Rarely does it see the likes of open combat unless deemed absolutely necessary to the android's objectives, for he both savors (and fears) its raw, destructive nature. Fugue is an incredibly powerful blade, capable of shattering any material its resonating edges come into contact with; a unique property that makes Fugue invaluable when push turns to shove. When not in use, it is sheathed at all times and never out of Scaramouche's unwavering gaze.

    Specifics: 3d/2c. If both coins are HIT, opponent suffers full damage of total rolled. If only one coin is HIT, opponent suffers half damage of total rolled due to sonic aftershock.



    Name: Musical Magic

    Type: It's freakin' magic, babe!

    Appearance: One of Scaramouche's better kept secrets. (Hint: it's him.)

    Description: If asked, Scaramouche won't say 'how' or 'why' he has command over sound. Be it with his voice alone or the aid of an instrument, the android is capable of accomplishing one of two things: widespread devastation or obnoxious shenanigans. At his weakest, Scaramouche can easily apply limited telekinesis and acoustic-based attacks on anyone unlucky enough to rouse his ire; at his strongest, he can destroy entire cities in a day or command mighty golems to finish the dirty work for him. The louder the instrument, the more powerful his unique brand of magic.

    Specifics: the power of his voice or an instrument will amplify Scaramouche's attacks accordingly. Without either, he is fairly weak and unassuming.

    ARMOR





    Name: Aluminum Alloy

    Type: Armor

    Appearance: Scaramouche is covered from head-to-toe in aluminum alloy plating, a silvery metal that is lightweight and resilient to corrosion from most natural sources. He is anodized and relatively free of blemishes, making his exterior finish quite attractive.

    Description: His metal frame is capable of withstanding heavy pressure, but suffers from buckling under immense strain and can warp if stressed for too long. Because he is made almost entirely out of aluminum, Scaramouche cannot tolerate extreme heat and will become stiffer during cold weather. He is also a terrific conductor for electricity and heat; should the android be electrocuted, exposed to salt water for lengthy periods of time, or subject to scorching temperatures, the integrity of Scaramouche's frame will degrade with varying severity. In short, he is hardy but delicate.

    Specifics: -25% damage from physical trauma; this does not apply to attacks that pierce, slash, crush, or otherwise rupture his metal frame. +50% damage from electric/water/fire-based attacks.

    Name: Runestone of Novice Warping

    Type: Dodge

    Appearance: It is a small rune that fits in the palm of Scaramouche's hand, smooth to the touch and emanating a soft bluish glow. A sigil of unknown origins marks the stone's surface.

    Description: A very special gift Lunette bestowed upon the android when they first met, Scaramouche makes it a habit of carrying this memento wherever he goes. Though not powerful, the runestone enables him to warp a light distance away from his current position, making it very useful for escaping tough situations. Scaramouche rubs it between his fingers whenever he is feeling glum or lonely.

    Specifics: flip a dodge coin. If HIT, Scaramouche has successfully dodged his opponent's attack.

    LEVEL 1

    Name: Little Skirmisher

    Description: True to his classical namesake, those who engage Scaramouche in combat will find the android nothing short of frustrating. He is fleet-footed and lithe, deceptively acrobatic and spry for a robot his stature, and enjoys nothing more than taunting his enemies while effortlessly weaving just out of danger's reach by a hairsbreadth. To catch Scaramouch is to catch the wind; a claim the android is incredibly fond of repeating as he brazenly heckles and provokes his more sluggish foes.

    Specifics: for every attack his opponent makes, they must flip an additional coin and both must be HIT in order to successfully land.

    AP Cost: 1AP per use



    LEVEL 10

    Name: Rogues Do It From Behind

    Description: Don't let his cheerful demeanor and pied appearance fool you - Scaramouche is a dirty fighter who utilizes every underhanded trick at his disposal. Worse, he brags about it. If given the opportunity or extended even an inch of chivalry by his adversary, the robot will capitalize on this foolish mistake with sadistic glee. He will strike first, fast, and - above all else - hard. There's no such thing as pulling punches between the quick and the dead.

    Specifics: Scaramouche is a lightning quick opportunist with both blade and instrument. Before his opponent may attack, the android may roll up to three (3) 1d/1c. If HIT, these preemptive strikes bypass dodges and, where applicable, armor/shield bonuses. These preemptive strikes cannot be enhanced.

    AP Cost: 5AP ; three turn cooldown.



    LEVEL 20

    Name: You Spoony Bard!

    Description: Silly, foolish, enamored... When he's not busy making a nuisance of himself or taking the piss out of others, Scaramouche is surprisingly bubbly and naive. His antics and good vibes can be so infectious, in fact, that others may strike a liking to his absurd ways and revel in them; a curious quirk of personality that somehow seeps into an even curiouser brand of magic. Should the need arise, the android is capable of bursting into song and dance to uplift or embolden those in his party - preferably adventurers who aren't opposed to a good beating and aren't named Scaramouche. But, just as he is amiable and fun-loving, so too is Scaramouche mischievous and fickle. He has no scruples capitalizing on his music for wrongdoing, the android fond of mayhem and a good laugh at the expense of others, and can easily hinder just as he can aid. A trickster through and through.

    Specifics: using either the power of his voice or whatever instrument is on hand, Scaramouche can draw upon the power of music to sway the tides of battle. For party members, he can raise their morale and further enhance their attacks for additional damage, better accuracy, or - though difficult - break one character out of a stun. When used on enemies or even party members Scaramouche finds irksome, he can instead debilitate them by weakening their rolled damage, lowering their accuracy, provoking them to not attack, or misdirecting threat on either themselves or another target.

    AP Cost: 10AP ; five turn cooldown.

    Name: Kill Switch

    Description: Programmed to feel pain, Scaramouche can honestly say he isn't a fan of getting roughed up. Should the android suffer too much damage to his nonessential systems, he may divert power to those keeping him functional - if barely. Certain features may be limited and/or offline until he is repaired.

    Specifics: roll three (3) die; Scaramouche is healed for the amount rolled.

    AP Cost: 20AP ; five turn cooldown



    LEVEL 50

    Name: Just Nuts and Bolts

    Description: Scaramouche is a rogue A.I. and proud of it, but that doesn't make him a completely soulless automaton. He is stubborn and loyal to those who have earned his fealty, and will not hesitate in throwing himself between these persons and danger. Though they may protest Scaramouche's intervention, he is a machine first and foremost; to serve and protect his master is one of his greatest joys. The ultimate sacrifice of a good, obedient robot.

    Specifics: if a character should come into harm's way - be it a regular attack, a special power, or even a fatal blow - Scaramouche may endure that harm instead. He will suffer the specifics of that attack just as he would normally.

    AP Cost: 25AP ; five turn cooldown
