Time passed by in a blink for the crimson mech. It was only due to his employees that Knock Out realized it would soon be a year since he had opened the Drive-In. A very interesting 'Earth' year for sure, though a very fulfilling one when it came to his little theater. Several marathons, a decent crowd of people, and aside from a brief toss into the trash, the events seemed to go without incident! The place had even been utilized as a hot spot for dates! He felt like a new mech, as though he'd found his little 'cog' in the gears of this world. Even the little stroll down the sidewalk was beginning to feel routine to the former medic. Metal shifting and crunching the cement beneath his peds, paper held securely in his thin digits. A small smirk stretched across his faceplates, humming to himself under his breath.

Musicals had never REALLY been his thing, since they always seemed so strange. Everybody suddenly knows how to sing and dance even though the majority of the people singing were strangers? And why the singing anyway? It had been difficult at first, but as he found musicals that fit into his standards more, Knock Out found that he could turn his processor off to admire the movie on its own merits. The songs were catchy. Approaching the bulletin board, his talons easily plucked the tacks out of his old poster, laying it down beside his leg with a light crackle. He had decided to collect them for remembering later. Maybe he could even frame the most fun or successful! Spreading his servo to pin the new post to the board, he pressed the tacks in with his usual surgical precision. Once satisfied, Knock Out turned his gaze back down to the old one. Bad movies...oh yes, that had drawn in a crowd that liked to laugh at the terrible nature of the movies. He'd be lying if he said he didn't enjoy it too! Rolling it easily in his servos as though it were a treasure map, he kept a firm hand on it as he turned and walked away. In exactly a week, it would be time for another little movie event! Hopefully people would enjoy it as much as Knock Out.

We will be showing Grease, Phantom Of The Opera, Labyrinth, Wizard of Oz, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Little Shop of Horrors!

((OOC note: Next Friday I shall write an opening post in the Drive-In area setting up the scene. This thread will be open for anyone who wants to join during the first night of the marathon, and threads are welcome for anyone who wants to go see the other movies. The showtime schedule for these movies are:

    • Friday August 12th, Grease and Phantom Of The Opera. Grease starts at 8. After it finishes, a small short film will be played during the intermission to pass the time, allowing a break for concession and bathroom stops. Then, Phantom Of The Opera will start.
    • Saturday August 13th, Labyrinth and Wizard of Oz. Labyrinth will start at 8. The rest of the details are the same as above.
    • Sunday August 14th, The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Little Shop of Horrors. The Rocky Horror Picture Show will start at 8. The rest of the details are the same as above.
