Knock Out had to hand it to Shai and Spenst; both of their suggestions for bad movies had proven to be...very bad. The mech almost felt bad, showing such films for unsuspecting customers. Of course, there seemed to be an appreciation for such bad movies. Either due to bad taste or simply enjoying films that were so awful, there was some enjoyment to be found. Even now, as the former medic walked down the sidewalk to approach the bulletin board, he had to admit that he rather liked what he had seen. Not at ALL good movies, but... There was something so deliciously, almost sadistically great about actors who flubbed their line delivery, props that failed to look real, and effects that made one cringe. If Shai and Spenst could enjoy those awful movies, maybe there were others out there who would like to see something terribly great.

For these movies, Knock Out held his own private screenings to try them out when he was still waffling over a concept like 'bad movie weekend'. Though he'd been skeptical, Food Fight and Birdemic were enough to do the trick. Such ghastly movies... Just the thought of them had a smooth smirk growing on his alabaster face plates. Approaching the board, the crimson medic couldn't help but blink at the sight of a poster with several little notes plastered to it. A talent showcase...? Interesting, that was for sure. Aside from looking spectacular, Knock Out didn't quite have any 'talents' to show off, but maybe he could drop by and see what might happen... Positioning his flyer to let the showcase poster still have lots of room, the mech began to tack up his advertisement. Not as flashy, or even as neat as his last couple of posters but... Perhaps a bad movie marathon could use a bad poster, haha! Smoothing out every crinkle and wave, Knock Out briefly admired his work before he turned to walk away. Another event for the Drive-In, here we go.

We will be showing Birdemic, Sharknado, Food Fight, Showgirls, The Room, and Battlefield Earth!

((OOC note: Next Friday I shall write an opening post in the Drive-In area setting up the scene. This thread will be open for anyone who wants to join during the first night of the marathon, and threads are welcome for anyone who wants to go see the other movies. The showtime schedule for these movies are:

    • Friday May 20th, Sharknado and Birdemic. Sharknado starts at 8. After it finishes, a small short film will be played during the intermission to pass the time, allowing a break for concession and bathroom stops. Then, Birdemic will start.
    • Saturday May 21st, Food Fight and Showgirls. Food Fight will start at 8. The rest of the details are the same as above.
    • Sunday May 22nd, The Room and Battlefield Earth. The Room will start at 8. The rest of the details are the same as above.
