The Halloween horror marathon had been very good for stirring up interest in the drive-in, bringing in new customers and giving Knock Out a reason to change things up a bit. Stability was fine, but sometimes you just wanted to do something new, and Halloween was a great excuse to do the place up, give it a shine and polish and do some decorations! Even though the movies had drawn the attention of a couple of people the mech wasn't exactly the fondest of, he still allowed them to attend. As long as they were on their best behavior...even if Fear liked to be a cheeky little glitch. The movie choices had been either hit or miss, and Knock Out was already making plans to throw in a few movies that were more...'Halloween'y and less 'general horror' in order to keep the Halloween mood for next year.

For this year though? There was still one last Holiday to cash in on... Not Thanksgiving, a holiday that honestly puzzled the Cybertronian. Some sort of feast based around some sort of peace treaty brunch a long time ago? A weird holiday, and it didn't exactly have much movie material devoted to it. Oh, but Christmas... there were loads of movies devoted to that holiday! Again, the origin and traditions surrounding it were strange. A fat man gives gifts to children by sneaking into their houses, who'd think such a thing would catch on, let alone inspire several movies? Either way, Knock Out had checked the library and already borrowed the movies he picked to show. Some were picked because they made him laugh, some were picked because they looked interesting...and some were picked because people seemed to like them. Give him a break, he had a business to run!

A trip to his favorite print shop later, and now Knock Out approached the bulletin board with yet another little poster in hand. Smirking to himself, the mech wondered if anybody had gotten sick of his posters yet...the old poster was un-tacked and stowed away. The new poster, laminated and almost shining red as the light bounced off of it, was easily tacked on in its place. Stepping back, Knock Out admired his handiwork proudly. Maybe these movies would bring in the family crowd... Families meant more food to buy! And rest assured, special food would be thought up for the occasion. Clasping his hands together, Knock Out turned about and began to walk away, processor already thinking up plans and ideas...

We will be showing A Christmas Story, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, The Muppet Christmas Carol, Home Alone, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and Elf!

((OOC note: at the end of the month, I shall write an opening post in the Drive-In area setting up the scene for the Drive-In. This thread will be open for anyone who wants to join during the first night of the marathon, and threads are welcome for anyone who wants to go see the other movies. The showtime schedule for these movies are:

    • Friday December 25th, A Christmas Story and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. A Christmas Story starts at 8. After it finishes, a small short film will be played during the intermission to pass the time, allowing a break for concession and bathroom stops. Then, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation will start.
    • Saturday December 26th, The Muppet Christmas Carol and Home Alone. The Muppet Christmas Carol will start at 8. The rest of the details are the same as above.
    • Sunday December 27th, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (Rankin Bass version) and Elf. Rudolph will start at 8. The rest of the details are the same as above.
