Deep in the arctic, untouched for months, lay the base that had once belonged to Hazama. Not widely known to most of the Breach, it had belonged to Ridley beforehand, being used by him while he didn't have Zebes. The only problem with such a fortress was that people knew where it was. It had been used in a wide-scale event, and thus the entirety of the population knew where it was. That was easily rectified, however. Ridley was back, and he was going to just move it away, of course.

It wasn't going to be easy, it was going to take a while, but it was going to be effective. Of course, any who visited soon would be held out by Space Pirate hands, and if they used force, bioweapons would be used to dispose of them. It would take serious teleportation levels to deal with a base this large as well as any roots it may have in the ground, which was why it'd take so long, as well as finding a suitable replacement area for the place. Still, they would manage. They'd spent the past few cycles rebuilding forces, and they were definitely ready now.

The Space Pirate ship flew down towards the arctic, landing and slowly opening up. The Pirates all ran down the extended bridge, flocking inside the base with caution, looking out for each other as they went. Ridley hung back, fairly certain there was no danger inside. He waited for the Pirates to enter, and then followed them inside. The place looked very different from how he'd left it, as he'd surmised last time. However, he couldn't help but notice the entryway up top. The one place he hadn't been able to view when the incident had happened...

Ridley flew up there, heading that way.

Reaching the door that had previously not actually been there like this, Ridley tore open the door with his talons. The technology - or whatever it was, whatever it had been called - was still active, but rather than wait, Ridley forced the door open by pushing it, the technology making the rest of the door follow suit rather quickly. It having been opened, he lowered his wings and pushed his way through, not fitting by that much. The doors had been built for Space Pirates, not necessarily for him. That wasn't his concern today, however.

Upon entering, the Pirate Lord found a very odd coloured room. It was nothing like he'd ever seen, blue-ish green with odd hexagon patterns all over the entire room. The floor was the only part without the hexagon pattern, being flat blue, a deeper blue than before. While this was different from what he was used to, the actual reason for the room's existence was pretty obvious, at least to him. "A container." But whatever it was that was contained was no longer even here... so as a result, this room must also have had the mechanism to allow whatever it was to escape. It could easily work as a teleporter, also.

Pushing ahead, Ridley headed for the next room.

Making his way through the small door, Ridley found that there was no "next room", in fact; there was merely a hallway leading to an elevator. The controls had been broken open with a slash, and the slash was frozen solid. Despite this, the wound appeared months old, according to his scans... it must be more of the magic used by the Breach, or something. Ridley couldn't work it out, and neither could his scanner. It appeared that it was just one hell of a mystery that would probably never be solved.

The Pirate Lord had to squeeze to fit in the elevator. It was a bit bigger than human-sized, but it wasn't so big that he could fit in it with ease. Nowhere near that big, in fact. As the doors closed, he must have looked like the grumpiest dragon in the entire world as the elevator moved downward, going for a good while. Not to mention, the music started to drive him up the wall after a little while. It was almost as if Hazama had modeled this base to be as unaccommodating to Ridley as he possibly could. Though, he wouldn't actually put that past the guy.

The elevator stopped down at the bottom of the mine, and upon forcing himself out of it, Ridley finally got a sight of where that Black Beast creature had been created. It had been right down there, though now the land was dead silent, the activity of the past having settled in long ago. People had been back, that was true... but none of them had bothered to do anything about the Cauldron that lay here, created by Hazama. This was what made Ridley think twice. If he moved the base and couldn't get it to work, he'd need the assistance of Hazama to make it work, and he'd rather not have to invite him to wherever the base was moved to.

Regardless, it was better to move it anyway. It was much too easy to come across the base as it was, what with everyone knowing where it was and whatnot.

Looking through the broken window to the area (he recalled seeing a team of a few citizens smashing through before the battle begun and he lost eyes), he noted the exact stillness of the area. It was deathly quiet. Nothing had passed through here in weeks... not months, however. It would appear that there was at least one person that still returned. They hopefully wouldn't prove to be too much of a problem. After all, science team would need to evaluate that gate and what was behind it. It would take a while before the base could be moved at all.

Spotting the team of Pirates that went the other way to him, Ridley called them over. They took a little while, but made it through the window and stopped. "Analyse this equipment and that portal. I want to know what's behind the portal, what made the portal, and what exactly we can do with it." He ordered. With that, the Space Pirates should get to work, and hopefully it would get done eventually. This could be valuable, after all...

Who knew what existed behind that Cauldron?
