    Castle But No Dragon

The last time Grodus was out in this direction, it was to fight with that demon swordswoman, Rao. He'd stayed closer to the city or gone to other places than this ever since. That ridiculousness in the forest didn't count, that wasn't his own choice, after all.

Still, he didn't really take in the scenery the last time he was here due to the spar being more important. Right now he did take a good look around, in the hopes of finding maybe one or two familiar places that were pulled from his own world. If he could find that, then surely there would be people from his world as well? It was the only thing the technomage really had to go on, and so he ventured forth.

Eventually in his wanderings across the grasslands, Grodus came across an area that seemed very similar to Petal Meadows; a swath of plains surrounded by hills in the distance. While the mage could not find the small village of Petalburg anywhere nearby, he did manage to spot a familiar looking castle off on those distant hills. There were no two ways about it, that had to be Hooktail Castle!

Even as exciting as finding a place from his world was, in a way it was almost more of a disappointment. The only person of interest who would be there was actually a huge fire-breathing dragon, and that's only if Hooktail actually survived her encounter with Mario. The technomage was beginning to grow desperate, but were things really so bad that he would risk his life just for someone else from his world to talk to?

He still stood there in the grass watching the castle for a while, to see if the great beast would end up flying into or out of the great tower at the structure's peak. He wasn't sure what he would do if he actually saw Hooktail, however.

In the end, Grodus allowed half an hour to pass before starting to turn away. It seemed the dragon either wasn't coming out, or simply hadn't been brought along with her roost to begin with. Not that much of a loss, really, but it was still kind of disheartening. There were other areas of the Breach he could check, and with that thought in mind the technomage moved to depart from the Heartlands.
