    There was... silence?

Awkward is as awkward does, and Judge Fear was no different. He stood there in the usual corpse gait and patiently waited for - ah, there we go. Livewire's reaction had taken a moment, perhaps because the femme needed additional time to process, but her emphatic gratitude was more or less expected. "You are welcome, Livewire," hissed the ghoul. Every sparkle in her eye, every twitch in her fingers; none of it had gone unnoticed. She was clearly pleased as punch! So happy, in fact, that the little femme was busy running around in little circles. The Dark Judge's eyes trailed after her carefully, meticulous and entertained. Any moment, now... Any moment and she was going to -

    Thump!

Latch onto him and squeeze these weary bones extra tight. Such was the femme's affectionate trademark, although... What's this, hmm? This was something new.

“An’ I love you.  I love you, I love you so much. I love you.”

Huh, what an interesting assortment of three words... 'I love you'. Can't say that the Dark Judge was overly-familiar with them, though he perfectly understood their meaning. I, being Livewire. Love, being the emotion. And you, being himself. She loved him, Bob's your uncle! But did he actually comprehend the sentiment behind her words? That, see, was the mystery...

Several long moments passed between the pair, Livewire hugging her wall-eyed ghoul for dear cyber-life and he... Well, and he merely content to let Livewire enjoy herself. Suppose the fiend ought to react, shouldn't he? Right, right. It's how these things go. Though it wasn't much and there was a severe disconnect on Judge Fear's behalf, a rotten hand rested itself atop the femme's polished head. "I am glad that you enjoyed your gift. Apologiesss for it being early." Pardon him, dear Livewire. It's not that the Dark Judge didn't appreciate your company. He rather enjoyed it, on the contrary. It was just... well, how do you get an undead fiend hellbent with annihilating all life in the known Gamma to comprehend something so innately 'human' as the emotional meaning of love? Was it the same as loving one's profession enough to become undead in the first place? Such a quandary... and not one that begged to be puzzled out anytime soon. There was food and a slumbering Kev!

See, he didn't always forget things.

"The sssun will sssoon rissse," he rasped, gesturing with his decrepit talons. "Ssshall we head back inssside, or do you wisssh to linger outssside a little while longer? I am not fussssed either way." The undead, after all, know no concept of fatigue or circadian rhythms.

Oh yes, Livewire’s trademark was to be expected nearly every time that the ghoul and the child had met up in the past few months.  Oh yes, his bony waist had seen great abuse once Livewire was comfortable enough with him to become affectionate.

Fear was slow to respond to the embrace, but Livewire was alright with that.  She had gotten used to it over the months they had known each other and was comfortable with it now.  A gentle rolling purr rose up in the femme as Fear’s hand contacted her helm.   “I really enjoyed it, an’ that’s really really okay.” She nuzzled the decrepit hip before finally releasing him from her hold, as the fiend had made a good point about their time schedule.  She had made breakfast, after all, and it was best eaten early!  The child nodded as her metallic hand took hold of Fear’s own.   “Let’s go back in, so I can start heatin’ the food up.”  She smiled brightly, ready to allow Fear to set the pace back inside.  It was rather obvious that the femme could physically out-pace Fear rather easily.

As for Fear understanding?  Livewire was aware of that as well.  She knew that it would be a slow process with the Judge.  In fact she was intending it to be, with what she and Kev had discussed.  They loved him dearly and they both knew that he was unused to it.  She would rather go slow, let him ease himself in as much as he could, instead of try and get him to understand all at once.  Was it the same love he held for his profession?  Livewire did not think so.  Still, the femme was confident.  When it was the three of them together, Livewire had treasured and taken note of each time Fear managed to respond to the aliens' affection. Even if many of the responses were uncomfortable or muted, they were still there.  She dearly hoped that he was getting used to them.  Especially since it was incredibly unlikely that the flow of love and acceptance towards Fear would lessen any time soon.

He may be a superpsychic Judge of the Law that could kill with a look, but her judge was still fragile in ways she intended to protect.

“Let’s go back in, so I can start heatin’ the food up.”

    "Okay."

It was... strange, you know? To have a child, even a mechanical one, treat you with an innocent fondness. A far cry from centuries' worth of terrified screams and hostile profanities. There was no familiarity in Livewire's affection or how to naturally respond, and it left him feeling... lost. Why did the femme enjoy his company so? Was he not scary? Was he not a creature of judicial omnicide? Just... why? Perhaps the Dark Judge may never be privy to this information, but that was fine. His role in unlife was judging the guilty, not seeking the answers to all of the universe's infinite mysteries. Judge Fear accepted Livewire's hand and guided her along in the usual corpse gait, unable to feel the smooth, cold nature of her metallic finish.

The living room was how they had left it; things were just a smidgen brighter, that's all. The sun would be rising in another hour, though hardly anyone else besides themselves would be awake to greet it. Kev was asleep, his animals were asleep, Metus... Mortals sure loved their beauty rest, didn't they? Eight hours was plenty enough time to get a great deal of things done. Alas, alas...

Judge Fear wasn't much for idling when he could be better off doing something productive. He predictably stopped a few meters away from the kitchen entrance and hissed, "Will you be needing help in there, Livewire?" Maybe he could help with the labour?

So long as she didn't ask him to help prepare food or cook, things would be golden.

To be fair, Livewire was a far cry from most any child.  Four years old and yet to have a stable home for more than a few months at a time, Livewire didn't have the opportunity to adopt a culture.  There were no standardized fears within her that did not come about from personal experience.  She was not scared of his towering frame or the coldness that surrounded his every motion.  The face behind the mask, or its potential, did not frighten her because Livewire had no reason to believe that he would ever use it upon her.

No, the child was not afraid of Fear because she had no reason to think that he would hurt her.  Naive?  Absolutely, but that was simply where Livewire's mind was at that point.

And it was that point that led the child to follow Fear without a single moment of hesitation into the kitchen, where she once again set about preparing the lovingly-made meal she had brought along.

"Nope!  I've got it.  But, oh!  If the table isn't set, could you do that?" She hadn't thought to check, before, and if she had noticed it earlier the memory was quite neatly drowned in the slew of fantastic new memories still being recorded to her most treasured collection.

Setting the table... Setting the table is something he could do.

    Maybe.

...How many forks and spoons? Was there a salad? Would there be tea? Soup? It was far better to err on the side of caution than to appear ignorant, so the Dark Judge did what came to memory best. Which, if he were to be honest, wasn't exactly up to snuff... Nevertheless, he grabbed what he could with those awfully big hands, mindful of the hustling and bustling Livewire, and went about his business.

    Salad plate, check.
    Dinner plate, check.
    Salad fork, check.
    Dinner fork, check.
    Dinner knife, check.
    Teaspoon, soup spoon. Check!

...Should there be a bread plate? Yes, let there be a bread plate. A bread plate, a cup, and a saucer. Oh! And mustn't forget the water glass. No wine glass, though. Livewire frowned upon alcohol and Kev was hardly graceful while intoxicated. ...What about dessert? Goodness, did the femme bring something like that? It was hard, considering Judge Fear couldn't read her bloody mind. Eh, it wouldn't hurt to put them down, he supposed. Dessert spoon and cake fork, double check. Anything else? Oh right, right. Can't forget about the napkin. Grud, Kev would undoubtedly make a mess and ruin everything.

So! After about twenty minutes of internal arguing and shambling back and forth, fidgeting with the dinnerware, the Dark Judge at last deemed the table worthy of Livewire's dishes. "I have finissshed," he hissed, taking a step back. To some particularly dark corner, most likely. Nice and out of the way.

    Goodness, so many dishes!

Livewire had failed to grab bread, so unless Kev had some laying around they would be unfortunately toast-less. But the Judge had a point in erring to caution. Livewire herself had only thought to look up the food preparation itself, not how it should be served.

The femme was humming a quiet, happy tune to herself as pot met stovetop, pan met burner, and the oven door closed upon ceramic after she had added the two unknowns to the plate.  They just required a little warming, from what she had read they were usually served at room-temperature anyway.

Alas, Fear, you would have to make due with not being able to read one mind of someone in your life. Well, Livewire and Karr's, though it wasn't a far stretch that Livewire's silence would prove more frustrating. The femme spoke a pleased "Okay!  I've got another ten minutes to heat over here." Before returning to her work.  Such a nice morning!

The smell of the hearty breakfast that Livewire had cooked up were wafting up and through the air, mingling with the the rot of a certain judge and the fresh country air seeping through the windows. Mmmmm, good morning indeed!

Post by Kev on Fri May 08, 2015 4:37 am

Lately, he was jogged awake early in the morning by an odd nightmare. One that seemed strange and yet so terrifying, though today had been a thankful reprieve. Indeed, today as a whole was a reprieve, as his only day off during the week from training. Any nightmares he'd had were brief and fleeting, they did not stick so close to him as that single one did, and yet his body seemed to hunger for as much sleep as he could get. Yet, there was a smell in the air. A new smell. Food of many kinds were being cooked, no sound of a blender whirring at all, and along with that, he could hear the faintest noise of someone moving downstairs. And voices...

    "I have finissshed,"

"Okay!  I've got another ten minutes to heat over here."

The alien moved, shuffling under the quilt and the instant the scaly body had shown some sign of life, he was suddenly under attack from the big black dog that was laying in the bed with him. Metus had been awake for a while, he had stayed to keep Kev company and give him some warmth, and now he was going to clean your face, friend! There was company! The Great Dane's large tongue licked away at the salty stains on Kev's cheeks, the alien protesting quietly as he pushed the dog's muzzle away. "Mmrr..." His movements were slow and clumsy, and a couple of times, his attempt to reach for Metus resulted in his wrist hitting the wall instead. It didn't hurt, or if it did his body was just numb enough by this point that he didn't know or care, but all of the exercise saw fit to make his body feel like a large weight was attached to them. After another clumsy attempt to push Metus away almost knocked the lamp on Kev's endtable over, the dog left Kev's face alone and hopped down from the bed, giving Kev an expectant look.

Kev moved to climb out of bed, though as soon as his body moved upwards, to pull himself up and out of bed, the muscles of his abdomen throbbed painfully. A quick flash of pain through his stomach, and the alien flopped back against his mattress, eyes wide as he grabbed at the spot lightly. His fingers kneaded the spot, hoping that perhaps that could make the tenderness ease up, but the muscles of his arms seemed to throb in tandem. His body...this stupid body, was so weak and tired from the exercise. It had been three weeks, tomorrow would be the start of four weeks! He could do his exercises, knew them like the back of his hand, so why did it all hurt so much?! And it always hurt most on his day off. As if the moment he didn't leap out of bed and get to pressing weights, the stupid muscles forgot what their progress was. Kev glanced to his door, towards the voices and the delicious smell. It was sunday, and Livewire was here. He wanted to see her, had to see someone other then him. He wanted to see her smiling helm, and yet his body didn't want to cooperate. This was supposed to make him stronger...so why did he feel weaker then ever? He sighed a weary sigh, and turned his gaze to the ceiling. The thought of asking for help didn't even cross his mind, the thought was too embarrassing. Maybe if he just...waited a couple of minutes, he'd feel better. There was no need to interrupt Livewire and...him. They could continue doing whatever they were doing and...Kev would join them eventually. He lifted upwards, the same sharp pull that made it hard to lift up striking through him, and he heaved another sigh.

    Eventually...

It would seem, dear Livewire, that your cheerful voice had been just enough to awaken the slumbering reptile upstairs. Judge Fear lowered his gaze from the ceiling and instead fixated straight ahead, at a nearby wall. "Ten will do," he hissed. It will be enough time for Kev to get his rear into gear and whisk the pain away, but only just. With nothing else to do (and no orders from the femme), the Dark Judge shambled away from the hustle and bustle of the kitchen and, instead, lingered about a dark, drafty corner; someplace where he felt right at home, so to speak. And there he shall remain until prompted otherwise. There, where only the most diligent of eyes will spot him.

You don't need him for the time being, do you, Livewire?

The next ten minutes saw a peaceful Livewire as she took the food out in stages.  Each carefully prepared item was raised up to the temperature she has estimated would be the best for eating before it was removed from its respective oven or pan and placed to the side.  Livewire would come out every two minutes or so and place some new food item upon the plates.

Unfortunately, all of Fear's consideration was not entirely needed.  As far as the femme knew it should all be on one plate, but...well.  Fear had put out so many plates!  She had to use them up!  So the child divided up the food amongst the items there.   The bubble and squeak were arranged on the salad plate with the bacon surrounding it, and the tomatoes lying on top of the mushroom caps.  Livewire put a little extra effort into making it look nice. Like a little tower of deliciousness!

The beans, haggis, and egg were placed on the dinner plate.  The remaining three containers were still in the kitchen.  The femme looked over to Fear after making everything all neat, fussing over the details.  Even though Kev was having some issue getting out of bed to appreciate the work she put into this, Livewire still wanted everything to be perfect. These past few weeks of only seeing the two every Sunday had been, putting it lightly, difficult for the femme. Even she had noticed that her personality began to change, becoming more short and mean. After spending so much time getting close to them it was hard to only see them every six days.

So, she wanted to make each visit, especially this one, the best it could possibly be.

Post by Kev on Fri May 22, 2015 2:07 pm

The sad sack upstairs gave his ceiling a persistent, yet impassioned look that seemed to burn right through the wooden ceiling and straight up into the sky. There was no focus for his stare, nobody in particular that he was angry at. He wasn't even angry. Just...tired. So tired. The path to getting stronger had been worse then he thought it'd be. Naively, he figured that he had already been through the worst thing he could ever face. Whatever Fear would need him to do, whatever he had to go through, it couldn't compare to what he'd already gone through, right? Oh, but the only thing worse then everything he'd ever gone through, was for all of it to be crammed into one large mental exercise where he went through it all again and again and again...only one day gave him solace. Today was that day, today was supposed to be his break from training where he could be happy again, and relax. And yet...he didn't feel happy. Though he had a break from his training, and he had Livewire and Judge Fear waiting for him downstairs...he was still exhausted. His body was still sore. Tomorrow, he'd have to go back to his training. He was not immediately happy just to be here, just to have his break. Maybe...he needed to go downstairs where Livewire and Fear were to feel happy. See Livewire's bright face, and Fear's...iron helm. Heaving a heavy sigh, the alien pulled himself to a sitting position, using the side of the bed to hold himself up and pushing through whatever pains still lingered. Still sitting upon the bed, he did a few stretches with his arms and upper body to see if that would help. It did seem to help, the fibers of his muscles tensing and releasing with the stretches. Kev pushed himself to stand, and wavered for a moment before he leaned down onto one leg. Leg lunges, the exercise he did in the morning, and they had their use here to limber up his legs.

A few minutes later, and he deemed his 'exercises' complete. It was the best he was going to get, though he didn't feel so weak now that his muscles had been stretched. Now he just had to make his way downstairs...Kev shuffled his way towards the door, nearly falling over when something big and heavy suddenly bumped into him and he looked down with a blink. Oh...it was Metus. The large dog looked up at Kev, then to the door, and bumped his body against Kev once again. "What?" What was Metus doing? One more bump, the dog leaning on Kev's legs heavily this time, and it clicked. Kev placed a hand on Metus' back gently, leaning against the dog and together, they both walked to the bedroom door. Kev opened it, and was instantly hit in the nostrils by a smell. Numerous smells, in fact. Sausage, beans, tomatoes and mushrooms were what he could instantly identify, confused. They must have really pulled out the stops to make this breakfast...so much effort...he needed to go down there and enjoy it. Enjoy his time with them while he had it. Kev took in a deep breath, glancing down at Metus. "Ready?" Metus snorted, and Kev took that to be a yes.

Still leaning on the dog for support, the two made their way through to the stairs and climbed down it. The wood creaked under them, a slight scratching noise from Metus' nails scraping the stairs as they descended. As soon as they hit the last step, Metus lumbered past Kev to give Livewire a greeting full of tail wagging and a bit of begging for the food. Kev stood at the bottom of the stairs, taking it in. The table had been set, full of food that really made the downstairs aroma quite pleasing. Fear was lingering over in the corner. Livewire herself was in the kitchen, which wasn't too far away. Kev gave the both of them a small wave. "Morning you two. Sorry I slept so late." He shuffled his way to the kitchen, making a beeline for the Cybertronian. Though seeing her definitely drove away some of his unhappiness, at the same time...he was still so tired. Tired all over. It didn't stop him from wrapping his arms around her tightly, gripping her tightly and settling his head to rest on top of her's. He soaked in her presence for a few moments, almost a minute before he pulled away and looked at the table to see...a lot of unfamiliar looking stuff. Definitely wasn't his usual breakfast mix. "What'd you make?" He was genuinely curious, though his eyes lacked the usual curious spark they carried. They were more strained, and the whites of his eyes were bloodshot, the veins a bright green. He was tired, but he was going to try to be happy. For them.

    "Should we make tea, too?"

Apologies, Livewire, but the Dark Judge's mind was in another place. A place that was far simpler and removed from the complications that plagued every higher intelligence. Ghostly eyes burned in the void, though they registered naught in his dreary corner of the living room.

    Move...

    Move...

    Move...

    And then it was so.

Footsteps echoed from above and the Dark Judge's gaze lowered, his mind returning to the present and with it a bitter chill. It was cold. Cold and heavy with decay. Now, should they make tea... A somber thrum disturbed the air. "Mm... It isss not yet time for tea, yet I cannot think of anything elssse one enjoysss at the table," he answered, voice as grave as any funeral knell. What else do mortals imbibe for breakfast? Milk? Juice? More unspoken thoughts churned, though the thing within that iron helm could only helplessly grasp at straws. It had been far too long. A guess was... necessary. A guess, and perhaps a glimmer of murky recollection. Everything was laced with the dull ache of fatigue. The sensation was admittedly strange, but not unwelcome. "Juice," Judge Fear again rasped. "Any ssshall do, but particularly apple and orange. If neither, then water." But not milk. There was a dislike for milk.

"Morning you two. Sorry I slept so late."

    Alas.

"The clock isss ticking." Merely a friendly reminder, as well as the allotment of space. Judge Fear made no motion to inch out of the corner, instead opting to wait until his presence was desired. The consumption of food was a mortal pastime, something he could no longer understand, and so it was decreed in undeath that he remain forever patient. This day will be over, just like all the rest. Let the grains of sand tumble as they wont.

Metus approached and resigned himself to linger with his friend, pleased as rotten talons gingerly scratched at his silky scalp. "Good boy."

Livewire looked at Fear expectantly as she waited for his answer.  Earth to Fear?  With the helm, the child couldn't exactly tell that Fear was concentrating on something else.  Honestly, she just thought that he had missed her question because he was so darn old.

Hey.  He used that excuse all the time, Livewire was going to start just expecting him to miss things now.  Just like Zurg.  Except Zurg wasn't as forgetful as Fear was, to Livewire. Fear was the elderly person in her little family.

She was about to ask again when Fear finally responded.   "Too early?"  The child's inability to drink tea herself had left her lacking in research regarding tea etiquette. From what she had seen of Kev and Fear, all of the time was tea time.

"Juice it is!"  Moments later as Kev's feet finally came down off of the stairs, Livewire finished pouring the glass. Each and every detail was almost in place, leaving Livewire free to accept the sudden, bounding affection of the large dog she had come to love as well.   "Metus!  Metus Metus Metus!"  The child laughed happily with him, scratching behind his ears and cooing at him.  Though she did enjoy Metus a good deal, that did not stop her from immediately raising up to embrace Kev when he came to her.  It ad been a week, and what Livewire was learning over this trailing was that a week was too long.  Too long without seeing Fear and Kev, too long without being able to hold Kev.

She took a moment to just take in the feel of him.  To get used once more to the feel of Kev's growing frame in her arms, to hold him close.  She missed him so much when she was gone.

"I made you breakfast.  It's an English breakfast, 'cause I wanted to make it for both of you.  I can blend it up for later, though, so you can eat it."  She looked up at him.  His exhaustion was etched into each feature, every line of his scales she could see how tired he was.  His own low energy brought Livewire's excitement to a rest, but not in a negative way.  She understood that he was tired, and so she calmed so that he could rest with her.  She wanted to make sure he enjoyed today, but understood that might mean a quiet, calm day.

As long as she was with them, that was fine.

Coming down the stairs, the alien could hear that Fear and Livewire were talking. He couldn't hear what they were discussing though, merely the sound of words in the air. A faint feeling of curiosity tickled at his brain, but it was fleeting. They probably were just talking with each other. If it was important, they'd tell him once he was down there. Feet plodded against the wooden floor lightly while claws scratched and skittered across. The Great Dane made his way to Livewire, who returned his eager excitement with ease. Kev stared back at the Cybertronian, watching her and Metus. The dog was happy, the waggily tail was definitely proof of that, and Livewire was laughing and cooing with ease. Even though it had only been a week, such a joyful noise seemed almost foreign in the cottage, which seemed so empty during his training. It felt...nice, to hear.

The alien glanced over to the Judge who lingered in the corner. Of course, even on his day off, he could not escape the clock. Today would not last forever. It was a sobering reminder, and the alien inclined his head to the Judge. "Yes sir." The alien approached Livewire, arms wrapping around her. The way she lifted up from giving Metus affection told him all he needed to know about how much she missed the scaly alien. Her 'skin' was cold and hard, but he took solace in the chill nature of her metallic skin, leaning his head into her's. His scales brushed against the metal lightly. "Oh? An English breakfast?" He looked down at her in turn. "That's very nice of you. Thank you." The idea of eating something entirely different and new was one he attached to, as if it were a life preserver. After a few moments he released her, approaching the table and leaning down to peer at the food. Some of it looked rather familiar, bacon and sausages...yet, the preparation of it made it seem entirely different. Of course, that wasn't getting into some of the more unfamiliar looking foods...he sniffed the air lightly before turning back to Livewire.

"Before anyone eats any, how about you tell me what every dish is? I'm rather curious about what makes an English breakfast." Kev was familiar with bread, toast, sausages and eggs, and even pancakes and waffles. How did the English differ? His eyes only strayed from Livewire to glance at Metus, and the corpse who was petting him. Good boy, hm?

    Was it too early?

Perhaps and perhaps not; children of the grave were hardly accurate keepers of time. Nevertheless, this one was still expected to answer. "Mm... it isss not desssired at thisss time." The mere thought of tea was connected to -

    "Metus! Metus Metus Metus!"

    "Woof, woof, woof!"

    Alas.

Metus left his master's side and went to mingle; it was hard to blame the dog, really. The gentle giant nudged his wet nose into Kev's side and proceeded to hang around Livewire, whom was no doubt as great a cook as his sniffer claimed. Animals, ah... Never too difficult to figure out. Now, Dark Judges, however...

    Things were too cheery.

    Too... intimate.

Livewire, Kev, Metus... leave them be, sinister thing. Allow them this moment together - this... affectionate embrace. And that is exactly what Judge Fear resigned himself to do. Until he was needed and/or called for, either to sit or to help the femme with her tasks, the undead ghoul could not intrude - would not intrude. It was no longer a world suitable for the likes of himself. This corner will do, yes. It catered to his needs perfectly. Dark... isolated... devoid of humanity... Yes, it shall do. His role for the morning had come to an unsung halt.

Livewire held onto Kev, squeezing him a bit before finally letting go.  She just wanted to take that moment, but that moment couldn't last too long.  They had things to do, she had a present to explain, and hugging would always come.  There would always be hugging between the two of them, it was like they were attached at the hip.

The femme followed Kev as he took a seat, and then nodded in excitement.  "Okay!  I can do that, yeah.  I found the recipe in a really cool cookin' book that was all about traditional English breakfasts an' was published in the recorded year of 1987.  It had the most information of the ones I checked out." The child turned the salad plate a bit, bringing it closer to Kev so he could get a look. "Okay, so, this one has bubble an' squeak, which is basically mashed potatoes an' cabbage an' grease an' butter an' leftovers all made into little patties an' fried.  It squeaks as it's cookin', which is really cool!"  The child pointed at the tomatoes and mushrooms caps. "These are tomatoes that gotta be put in a hot pan while still on the vine!  The book said it tasted better that way.  An' these are portabello mushroom  caps, which were the biggest mushrooms I could find in the store that came from Earth.  There were some other mushooms there but I think they were more...meaty.  An' blue.  I didn't think that would work.  Aaaaan' then you got, bacon.  Which is pigs an' stuff."  She looked over again and pointed to the second plate, pushing it towards Kev.

"An' that's haggis!  It's...oh..."  Sheep.  Shhhhhhhhhhit. That's not good.  "It's kinda like a hotdog, but less processed an' smooth."  Livewire glanced up to Judge Fear,  trying to make sure that her sudden anxiety wasn't noticeable. "And...aaaand that's a poached egg, which is like cookin' an egg in boilin' water so that the white is all 'round it!  An' those are baked beans, which are just beans that have bacon fat an' brown sugar in 'em!"  Livewire leaned forward to bop her helm against Kev's head with a little smile.  "The whole thin' is called the 'Fully Monty' because a guy called Field Marshal Montgomery was famous for eatin' all this for breakfast."

The child nuzzled Kev again and then pushed the plates back a bit after she got done with her show-and-tell.

"An' I made some spotted dick an' brought over a new tea I found!  I think you'll really like it."
