    Deliver Thy Sinners

    Previous Thread: The False Prophet

"E... excuse me sir, how much longer...?" the woman asked, close to the Disciple as he walked slowly with the aid of his curious staff. "Not much longer, but please, stay close... this part of town is shady..." Still, the woman eager to meet the one the Disciple spoke of, the old man, the woman hiding herself and the two young men most likely thieves, followed this man through the darker areas of the city. Before they had reached this place, one had asked why a 'holy man' would be subjected to this part of town, where the answer of 'religious battle' came to head. Some religions were frowned upon, and this was the excuse to travel through such a dangerous area.

Some still wondered, though, if it was true, but the three others were blind and appeared to be curious enough to follow this man without much question or problem. Such is the way of the lambs with their shepherd.

Down a familiar path, underneath a bridge, a few lights flickered as they continued onwards and closing in on a familiar house. It had candles within the windows, signaling that someone was home. "Ahh, the candles... a happy sight. It means he is there, and waiting." The man smiled and walked up the pathway to the door, where he opened it with a creak. All was quiet inside, except for a few mice, and one of the women jumped back in surprise at them. "Oh, don't worry, these mice are harmless. They are quite nice, too," the man assured as he kept the door open, allowing everyone to enter. "Please, have a seat in the living room. I cannot offer much, but I do have some water."

The living room was devoid of any furniture, except for a strange set of chairs that were placed in a circle. The three without ill-intentions sat, talking to each other and the man that led them there, while the two young men looked to each other and whispered. "He is here?" the woman asked, and the man nodded. "I will go fetch him, please, be comfortable." Before he could go into another room, however, one of the young men brought out a silver item as it clicked, ready to be of use. "Actually, let's skip the service and go straight to donations."

Wonder how long he was waiting to use that line.

The man with the staff stopped and slowly turned, his face devoid of emotion as he stared blankly at the two men. "And, what is it you want from us?" he asked calmly, while the other young man had a knife and bag ready, "my friend and I are gonna take whatever you got. Though, judgin' from these people... not much. But you, you look like you got some nice stuff on you! Let's have it!" he demanded, hand out with the gun pointed to the man. "... I do believe you're going to get some rather painful justice set upon you, unless you sit down and remain calm."

The young man spit at the ground before firing a shot next to the man's head as warning, causing the women to shriek and the old man to clutch his chest in fear. But the man with the staff did nothing, and instead, gave a rather dull look at this idiotic boy.

Now was the time for their 'savior' to appear, no?

A Clever Ruse wrote:"Ahh, the candles... a happy sight. It means he is there, and waiting."
What wonderful tools religion and spirituality can be...

Five unwitting mice had entered the trap with astonishing ease, but two of them thought to turn the tables in their misguided favour. How interesting, if not severely naive. An unmistakeable flash of a gun's discharge struck the air and, during the briefest of split seconds, it illuminated a tall silhouette standing directly behind the two would-be thieves. What came next was inevitable...

There was a soft - clink! - like the sound of a lock closing shut, and a sickly presence filled the candlelit chamber. "Using a firearm indoors is against the law," something hissed from the surrounding darkness. Without any warning two green, yellow-nailed hands lashed out from the shadows and plunged their way through both of the men's chests. It was laughably easy, to feel a sinner's flesh give way... Sharpened talons ignored bone and muscle to grip around something beating, warmth choked by an overpowering cold. Look at these sinners, thinking that a child's plaything will make much a difference. Why bother with guns and knives when all it took was just one squeeze?

A mere flex of those hands and both men lost their lease on life with hardly a fight.

    Thump, thump!

Two fresh bodies hit the floor as a shadowy figure came into full view at last, hands stained red with fresh, glistening blood. "Greetings, sinners," welcomed a satisfied Dark Judge. "Think no more of our rude interlopers. They have been judged for their crimes accordingly." Soon the same could also be said of you.

    Oh, look. The savior.

As promised, he had given the two rude youths a harsh lesson, with the price of their lives. Down they went, dead and harmless, but this only meant the others were to witness this and, most likely, panic. Though they shrieked in terror, the woman that was so blindly following the disciple could not move; the elderly man was unable to move quickly, and thus, hindered her escape. The other woman, however, was about to ditch them. How rude! Weren't you all in this together? Though the front door was a way out for her, she was too afraid to pass the Judge, and instead, ran past the man that led them there, into the kitchen. A dark residue appeared out of the man as he fell onto the floor, collapsing from exhaustion, but still alive, and the dark matter formed into a familiar ghostly figure.

"There is no exit in the kitchen, but a nice place to trap someone," he hissed as he looked down at the man he once possessed. "Six people, is it not a good start?" the alien cackled a little with the words as he looked over at the other two that clutched each other in the corner, too scared to move, or unable to. Though Zs'Skayr would do nothing himself, he would make sure they could not escape. He had worked hard to deliver them to their death, and he would make sure that they will suffer it.

Hovering closer to the two people, the alien shook his head, "I would warn you next time about following people you don't know to strange houses but..." he shrugged, his face saying it all.

    Which was, "ya dun goofed!"

Meanwhile, the woman in the kitchen was busy trying to break one of the windows to get into the rather hazardous backyard. It was filled with broken metal pieces, you see, from old playsets for children. It was either get wounded fleeing or die trying. The woman was certainly not going to stay and find out what the Judge had in store.

    CRASH!

Just as he thought, in the event that one comes in contact with humans there will always be a means of unpredictability. Outside the house, waiting just near the street, was a sleek, two toned vehicle. Throughout the duration of the "disciple's" visit along with his small group of companions, he had been observing them, all of them. Already two of the visitors had been dealt with, a lock placed on the front door. However, it appeared Judge Fear's utilities seemed to defect at the most inopportune time, for while the lock clicked, the latch apparently had not connected properly.

Already chaos seemed to erupt from within the house between the two who were cowering in a corner, to the recent actions of a shrouded woman. While the backyard was certainly a cesspit for gangrene and tetanus, he knew it would not deter the female for long should she have the will to live, even if it was for but a few moments longer. He scanned her over as she attempted to flee from the kitchen window, her body shrouded, but not from his electronic eyes. Numerous artifacts and charms hung from her form beneath her clothing, undoubtedly superstitious in nature.

However... One who is superstitious and spiritual may also believe in the kindness of strangers. After all, she had been foolish enough to follow the Dark Judge's associate here, perhaps in the heat of the moment she would take interest in some change of luck. "Miss! Over here." KARR called to her. "I heard what was going on inside the house, I can take you to the authorities to get help but you must be quick. Get in before they can tell you left." With that promise, KARR opened the passenger side door for her, a vacant seat provided as invitation. In the darkness of the evening, it was hard to tell who was driving this vehicle through the dark tinted windows and shaded interior.

An easy, if not boring, start of the evening's purge!

The Dark Judge was indeed pleased with Zs'Skayr's catch, and he casually stepped over the two purified thieves with renewed delight for the remaining sinners before him. Never mind that one of them had managed to flee, the ghoul's padlock failing at the most inopportune time. "This is a satisfying beginning of our mutual partnership," agreed Judge Fear. Six mortals brought to their judgement, six wicked individuals soon to be rejoicing. He reached out with bloodstained hands and calmly approached the petrified woman and elderly man, helm's interior filled with an unnatural glow. "Remain where you are, sinners. There is no reason to make things more difficult than they need be." It will be but a simple touch and nothing more... Well, maybe just a pinch agonizing.

Eager to try out an old and familiar ability that had been robbed from him since the moment he had stepped foot upon Portal Breach, the Dark Judge stooped low and used both hands to open his helm's gates. "Gaze!" Judge Fear commanded of the woman. "Gaze into the face of Fear and repent for you heinous crimes!" Just stare into that terrifying, empty abyss of a helm and let go...

    CRASH!

A sudden noise came from the back and the ghoul instantly redirected his gaze after matching "eyes" with the woman before him. So, it seemed as if the flighty sinner from before had thought to make her escape... Judge Fear knew better, of course. There was the unmistakable sound of rubber screeching against asphalt, another player stepping upon the field.

"Ah K.A.R.R., how good of him to join us," the Dark Judge hissed. With a light creak the helm's face plates were closed and Judge Fear placed the bulk of his attention upon the old man. He was not much long for this world, the beating of his strained heart erratic, so he was making the right choice in taking justice into his own hands tonight. "Greetings, sinner. Having trouble?" the ghoul asked, looming over his helpless victim. Judge Fear could, of course, have a bit of fun with this one; although there wouldn't be much point, as the sinner was hardly considered fitting sport. "You must be tired and wanting nothing more than to rest... I will be more than happy to usher your iniquitous soul into the next life. Rejoice!"

Rejoice, because soon all of your agony will all fade away...

Judge Fear bent forward and reached into the old man's chest with his right hand, clawed fingertips making their way for an old and weak heart...

Well, this was certainly a chaotic night. This was certainly not how Zs'Skayr planned it, but you cannot control the feeble minds of humans to do as you wanted when their fear drive was driven up. Of course, this is the reason why he chose humans to start with; weak and simple, and though they would put up a bit of a fight, they were ultimately easy to bring down. Had he gone for aliens or other creatures of unknown origin, who knows what would've happened. But perhaps later he would try.

For now, he enjoyed the show.

    ___

The woman who escaped suffered cuts and who knows what else upon her feet, but this was the price for life and freedom, was it not? She managed to get over the rusted fence, suffering damage upon her fragile hands when she was called to, a suspicious dark colored car off on the side of the road. Was the driver beckoning her? Was he there to help? Her fear told her to go for it, as the voice didn't sound at all like the two beings from inside, but her gut told her no, it wasn't good. Her fear ultimately took over in this instant, and she took the opportunity before her.

She said nothing, out of breath and too afraid to speak, but as she entered, it was obvious that her gut was right--as guts tend to be! Though she would kick and punch, it was doubtful she could escape her current prison. Tough luck, lady! This is why you don't listen to strangers.

    ___

The sweet woman who protected the elderly man wanted to say many things, and ask many questions. A lot of words came to mind, really, and though she wished to, she could not speak. She let out little gasps of air and soft whines, hinting she wished to say something, but it was for naught, as she became incapable of speech for the time being. The Judge loomed over and spoke, readily doing his work upon her with a gaze. What crimes, she thought, what have I done?? her mind desperately cried out, that of which she would ask aloud, but she was stricken with her worst fear upon gazing within the dark helm.

Though she did not scream, her face turned white as she heard the faint sound of an air raid siren, and succumbed abruptly--and painfully. Falling on the floor next to the old man, he was surely next, but he couldn't really do much, now could he? His heart was about to burst, it felt like, feeling within his arm becoming void as he felt a piercing pain.
    ___

"Not what I had in mind, but whatever works," Zs'Skayr shrugged as the Judge grasped the heart of the elderly man. As for KARR... What the hell was that? "I did not expect an associate to join your small killing spree," the alien murmured with a claw upon his face as he scratched in thought. "The more the merrier, I presume?"

But wait! You all were (maybe) forgetting someone!

The man that Zs'Skayr had used as a vessel, he was up, and he was not happy with the display.

"What... is this monstrosity?? Both of you! What have you done to these innocent people??" the man sputtered before getting a firm grip upon his staff. "Have you no shame?!"

"... Oh yes, I nearly forgotten this one." The alien seemed rather calm regarding the man despite him brimming with some kind of energy... "He is not normal." Not sure if you wanted this kind of sport, Fear, but you may need some help with this one.

The man's eyes began to turn into a blue tone with a bright glow as he spoke in an unknown language, hands flowing with blue energy. "Such ignorance towards life shall not be tolerated! You monstrosities shall be sent back to the depths of HELL!" The staff was dropped upon the ground as a blue light energy came bounding towards both Fear and Zs'Skayr, knocking them back.

    WELP.

Ya dun goofed, Zs'Skayr! The man was really a nomadic mage! Coming to the city, he was looking for supplies for another few months at home, but instead, you bring him to his 'death'. Now he's mad. Ya dun pissed him off!

As soon as the cloaked woman entered the passenger compartment and took a seat, there was a swift whud! and a click as his door shut and his systems locked down the rest of the vehicle's doors and windows. Inside, the interior suddenly came to life in a display of vibrant glowing colors, various buttons and systems readings winking in the darkness of the AI's interior. However, just as the interior came to life, outside the vehicle the world became pitch black as the windows tinted themselves to shroud his passenger from the world, and the world from her.

The woman's attention would soon be drawn to just above the steering wheel, as a yellow-bared voice box lit up as the AI spoke. "Cease your struggling, girl." KARR growled. "All you are accomplishing is testing my patience and wasting your energy." Alas, the woman still appeared rather spirited in her efforts despite her obvious exhaustion. The amount of blood she was losing was not helping her any further either, droplets splattering on his door lining and floor mats. How inconsiderate, the AI takes her out of the cold and away from the malicious efforts of those inside the house and she gets blood on him without so much as an apology!

"Very well, it appears some required initiative to sit still is in order." The AI stated calmly, a few electronic tones and beeps chiming from the dashboard as KARR initiated a few systems. "Did you know that the maximum heat tolerance for a human is only one-hundred-and-twenty degrees Fahrenheit? How would you like me to slowly raise the internal temperature until you are cooked alive." With that cold statement, KARR began to raise the temperature, one of his CRT monitors flickering on to display the current temperature reading.

So that had worked... Interesting, and perhaps reason to believe that Portal Breach's influence was wearing thin.

The woman's fear too much for both mind and heart, she collapsed with hardly a finger in retaliation and crossed over with ease. Such was how it must be in this wicked universe, but now her crimes were put to rest. As for the old man? Judge Fear had not removed his heart, no. That may or may not be something Judge Death would delight in, but not him - at least for now. Only when he felt the heart's beating subside into faint trembles did the ghoul let go, both mortals having been swiftly and professionally judged. "Rejoice," Judge Fear hissed at the fresh corpses before his rotten feet. "Rejoice, for your sins are no more and you have at last achieved righteousness." You were - hm?

Zs'Skayr had apparently not foreseen K.A.R.R.'s arrival and, in truth, neither had the Dark Judge. Still, it was good to have one's allies in case something went awry; just like the woman who thought to flee from her inevitable purge. "My associate will be thorough with his sinner, rest assured. He does good work," stated the ghoul. It was very hard to run from a vehicle that could easily top breakneck speeds within a handful of seconds.

...The indignant human with glowing blue eyes, however, had also not been part of tonight's scheme.

"Innocent? Shame? Hell?" he reiterated dubiously, turning around to face his foolish attacker. "Iniquitous lies! These sinners faced damnation for their crimes in life and were awaiting judgement. If anything, they have been saved." A strange energy next struck the Dark Judge's vessel after several choice words, yet the undead lawman showed no visible signs of distress. He stumbled a step back once, maybe twice, but had otherwise not lost composure. "Sss... It is punishable by death to assault a Judge of the law," Judge Fear hissed. And he will enforce this law gladly.

A distinct rattling of chains was heard as the Dark Judge retrieved a steely mantrap from his utility belt, the weapon's maw opened and wide. "Atone for your crimes and know justice in death, sinner!" cried the fiend. The tethered mantrap flew through the air and sought to sink its hardened teeth into warm flesh on this eve!

Well, the woman was far from able to help herself. It seemed she would slowly be boiled alive, and though she did try a few kicks upon the glass, it was pretty much futile at this point. She would burn slowly. There was little else to be done at this point or said.

    Shrouded Woman
    HP: 105/120

No Attacks other than simple kicking. Better boil faster!

However, inside, there was a lot going on that probably shouldn't be! The Mage attacked the alien and the Judge in a fit of rage and the Judge's rebuttal was sending those spaulder-traps of his to set upon the man. A small bellow of pain escaped him, and he fell to the floor covered in metal teeth. "Augh! Such an attack is nothing..." he claimed, despite the pain he was no doubt feeling. Zs'Skayr just hovered and watched, honestly unsure if he was supposed to assist or not! Really, was he? He'd ask, but it seemed the Judge was busy. Busy with the 'sinner'. So, instead, he merely stayed in the back until he was needed... that seemed fair, right?

The Mage was trying to release the traps from his skin, using some kind of magic, and at this point, he was unable to really attack. Or, so it seemed. "You'll not win against me, demons, and here is proof!" The Mage began to glow a bright coloration before he was launched backwards. At the moment, Zs'Skayr didn't understand the purpose of this attack--until he realized the chains were still connected to Judge Fear.

    Oh...

Other than that, the Mage attempted to remove the mantraps from his body using magic after the little stunt. Well, now would be a good time to try and take him down!

    ___

    The Mage:
    HP: 158/230

    ATTACKS:
SET 1 - Dragging Judge Fear!
SET 2 - Attempting to remove mantraps! 2 HIT is needed for BOTH to be removed, if 1 is HIT, only 1 is removed.
