With their touching moment around the healing having settled, Sokka found himself inwardly galvanized to press on and take care of whatever the rest of this cavern held for them. He couldn’t quite put his finger on it as anything past instinct, but no matter how many challenges lay before them now, he had a feeling that they were getting close. That much stood regardless of the intensity that their last foe had thrown at them around his own challenge.

The Water Tribe warrior was very used to making, hearing, and even echoing confident statements about Team Avatar’s ability to triumph over basically anything, but he always felt a surge of pride in his own statements, and that was augmented by any that Korra ever made. They were part of a team that held a strong bond, one even stronger because it completely transversed time and any location. Simply holding up his fist to show his full agreement with Korra’s added sentiment, Sokka soon found himself extra glad that he had held onto their shared confidence.

As Korra become tense for the moment, her own blue eyes averting themselves from his focus, Sokka felt his concern for his best friend grow. One of the many things that the two of them shared was analyzing the what-ifs and possibilities of a situation after it had passed… but whilst looking back and assessing things was never a bad habit to keep, what was important was to look at it all, take it for what it was, and keep moving forward… especially in the midst of battle or challenges. Thankfully though, even as she let her thoughts wander for the moment, she did take to his reassurance to heart. As they met each other with their gazes again, he saw that smile he knew and loved, and he could not help but give a very firm nod at her words. “Right.” She was exactly right. Water Tribe or not, these two friend could not be beat. He was always set to prove that, and he was even more set to show that now.

Sokka did have a feeling that they did not have much more remaining in their set of trials in this cavern, but all the same, he did feel a bit better as Korra noted how she hoped that he was right here. His instincts had rarely failed him, and more than ever, he sincerely hoped that they were spot on here. As the two carried on, he was relieved to see that at least for now, the hallway did not seem to hold anything dangerous. It thankfully followed the pattern of hall to room to hall, but the only question was if they would have any indication that they were about to reach the next main area.

The two carried on for quite some time, not seeing much different about the scenery. To help break the silence before they reached their next landmark though, Sokka soon turned to Korra, stating, “You know… we might not be out of this just yet, but I think that we’ve already turned our trip into one heck of a training session. And since it was so much more intense early on than we thought it might be, I’ve got an idea. Once we’re out of here, let’s see if we can find a hot spring. You, me, and Naga… just taking that and relaxing.”

Sokka's raised fist drew a small chuckle from the Avatar, who mirrored his gesture and held up her own curled fist. The changed forms they carried were of course reflected in their respective hands. Her own was larger, sturdier, the fingers much thicker than they had been before. This body was one she still wasn't quite used to, but she had to admit that Sokka still had the worse deal when it comes to the changed bodies. Hopefully, they would be returned to their original bodies soon. If they wound up going back to the Inn like this, that'd be one heck of a story they would need to tell.

As much as she tried to avoid his gaze, Korra was still aware of the way her friend was staring at her. She could feel his eyes on her, and out of the corner of her gaze, she could see the concern there. The both of them were unfortunately aware of just how awful this venture could have turned. In fact, how it could have turned multiple times. Most of the puzzles and rooms were dangerous, and though the young Avatar was confident in their skills, the possibilities were still daunting. She had already been unable to save Sokka once...she didn't want that to happen again. But fear could not rule her forever, not when they were still in the thick of it. Gazes matched, her friend's nod made her smile grow ever so much. His agreement helped to make her feel a bit more confident, her body relaxing. Before they could continue though, Korra let out a quick yet earnest "Thanks, Sokka."

Down the hall they walked, their surroundings barely changing even though Korra could almost feel the actual passage of time around them. Naga followed diligently at their heels, tongue lolling contently as the polar bear dog was apparently very pleased they had managed to escape the last room in one piece. Turning back to her friend, the Water Tribe woman smirked softly. "It's definitely one of the strangest training sessions we've ever had!" Changing bodies, battling a man in a racecar. Not the norm for these two! Sokka's idea made the young sigh, pleased at the very idea. Warm water, kneading at their tired muscles and allowing them a respite to relax. "That sounds amazing, Sokka! We definitely have to do that! Relaxing in a hot spring..." A soft gurgle sounded from her gut, and Korra placed a hand there with a sheepish grin. "Something tasty to eat would be great too!"
