Sir Meta Knight nodded--it would certainly be nice to see a bit of other worlds, even if he was no closer to seeing his own again. Though perhaps later--he really did need to be searching for a way back to his home world, and he could help look for a cure for Impa along the way.

    But at her last statement...

Impa wrote:"I never give up hope for the future, even if it leads me to a world that is not my homeworld."

He slowly glanced over at her. A world... that is not her homeworld? But why? If she did not believe that her world was still around, was that not giving up her hope?

...Or was it part of accepting her fate and moving on?

He shook his head. No. Regardless of what that meant for her, he still had yet to see any proof that his own world was gone. Hyrule may have been--if parts of it had appeared here, then it was definitely a strong a possibility--but as for Dreamland? No. There was still a chance--still a possibility that a way home was out there, somewhere.

The knight could respond that he understood, but that would be a lie. "Whatever the case," he said instead, giving a half-smile hidden by his mask, "we will certainly not find anything by standing around or flying in place. Where shall we begin looking for a cure?"

Impa could tell that her last statement had most certainly caught Sir Meta Knight's attention, and even though he might not truly catch the full meaning and depth in her words until a later time, she was inwardly rather glad that he had taken the time to ponder them. That single moment might not have seemed like much, but all time was important… and that instance was but the first of several big steps for the masked warrior.

He might not have understood yet… but soon enough, he would. She was positive of that.

Impa's soft smile grew a bit as she sensed the concealed half-smile from her companion, shaking her head a bit before looking forward, the Sheikah noted, "No, we certainly won't. As for searching… I was actually going to start by traversing the grasslands to see if there were any conspicuous areas, new or otherwise here. Last year, Sheik, one of our friends, and I all discovered a fairy fountain from Hyrule out here… that being the case, I know that even if a cure is not out here, a clue might very well be."

Motioning just in front of the two of them, Impa glanced back to Sir Meta Knight, asking, "Shall we?"

"Conspicuous areas... I see," he replied. He could definitely keep a look-out for something like that. Though the expression was hidden beneath his mask, he cocked an eyebrow at the mention of a fairy fountain. Was it perhaps one of the places from Hyrule that Impa had mentioned earlier, or was it yet another place native to the Breach? Perhaps he would find out, should they run across it during their search or should Impa decide to show him later.

At her question, he faced forward and nodded. "We shall." And with that, the knight swooped forward, taking off over the grasslands and glancing back briefly to make sure Impa was following.

While he found nothing outright conspicuous, he did see a few things of interest--at least to him. He would occasionally see animals here and there--some familiar, some not--and had to pause for a moment at seeing a small herd of deer that had apparently spotted the two warriors from a distance away. The animals turned around, bounding off in the opposite direction. While Meta Knight did not follow them, he did watch them for a while until they had nearly disappeared out of sight.

"The wildlife here seems as diverse as the residents," he remarked as he resumed flying, "but I am not sure they will yield any clue for a cure. Give me one moment, and I will attempt to spot something from the air." With that, he beat his wings rapidly, ascending a few yards and looking around to see if there was anything out of place, or anything that might be worth investigating.

Impa returned SIr Meta Knight's nod at his response, right before she moved to follow after him as the two picked up their pace.

As the masked warrior flew just ahead of her, Impa was glad to see that the Samba Heartlands were proving interesting to him. The Sheikah spotted the small herd of deer that were a couple of hills away, and before too long, they had turned to make their way across the plains, likely headed back towards the forest itself. In her time on the Breach, Impa had come across very many types of deer, some familiar and some far less so… these were in the former category and were certainly a nice sight to have caught this afternoon.

"It most certainly is… I can promise that you will see a great variety of fauna as you explore the wilderness here," stated Impa, just before nodding to Meta Knight at his note that he would check things from the air. With a slight smile, she added, "All right. I will scan about from this point."

Watching as the masked warrior flew to a higher vantage point, the Sheikah glanced about the horizon to the sides that they were not exactly headed towards. There did not seem to be anything out of the ordinary here, but she was slowly starting to get the sense that the two of them and the deer were not alone out here.\

Sir Meta Knight flew upward, looking down briefly to give Impa a nod when she said that she would have a look around from her position. With her looking down below and his looking around from above, they were sure to spot something.

From his higher vantage point, Meta Knight was barely able to spot the herd of deer again as they made their way back into the forest. While it was an interesting sight to him, it was, unfortunately, not what they were looking for.

As he resumed looking around, however, he began to get the same sense Impa had--that they were not alone. This made sense--there were many beings from many different places all gathered into the Breach. But this did have the problem of making it difficult for him to determine what was simply a larger creature, and what was an actual threat.

The knight's eyes flashed when he spotted something a distance off, headed toward their position. But from where he was, he couldn't tell exactly what it was he was seeing. Frowning, he swooped back down toward Impa. "I believe I may have found something," he said, "but it is not what we are looking for... and it appears to be heading toward us."

Both the Sage of Shadow and masked warrior had proven their keen eyesight, as sure enough, they had spotted the two beasties that were bounding towards them. One of the duo was slightly in front of his companion, but they were keeping an even pace with each other, and both of them appeared to be rather cheerful for the moment. That pleasant demeanor kept up until the one at point spotted the flying form of the masked warrior up ahead, and almost as thought a switch went of for both of them, the two creatures began to charge the pair of targets ahead of them.

They were both roughly two feet tall, their pale yellow hides bearing two red stripes across their broad shoulders. The only other defining features of their coloration were the red headbands they both wore, sitting just above their sharp eyes and sensitive noses. These were two creatures that one of the duo before them would most certainly recognize, as even though they were not the fiercest of enemies across Dreamland, they still had a respectable presence.

After all, it was tough to traverse Green Greens without running into at least one Grizzo.

Their speed picking up as they bounded towards the Dreamlander and Sheikah, the two Grizzos each spotted a target that they were set to charge into. The one that was bringing up the rear set his sights on the masked warrior, and with a leap that might gave seemed difficult for on with such short limbs, he jumped to tackle the smaller target. As for the leader of the two, he charged the far larger one here, hoping to knock her down even if he could only ram her leg.

Impa's sense was soon proven accurate, as a moment later, her red gaze widened slightly at catching something across the next hill headed towards their position. She tried to study it as best she could, but regardless of its distance, she soon realized that their unexpected visitors were not only headed towards them, they were actually on the smaller side for beasts, at least as far as she herself was concerned.

The Sheikah did not recognize the two striped creatures that were bounding towards them, but even though the closer they got the more harmless they appeared, she could tell that there was more to these seemingly docile animals than met the eye. As Sir Meta Knight dropped back closer to her own position, she nodded to his statement, noting, "You're quite right… I do not recognize these animals, but it appears that they intend to charge us."

Sure enough, the two beasts made quick work of the remaining distance between their positions, and before long, they were right upon then. Impa stood her ground as she narrowed her red gaze, attempting to get a better look at these animals and determine just what they were capable of. She might not have known what they were herself, but despite their smaller size and simple strategy, she could tell that they were not to be underestimated.

That much was proven even more true once the second Grizzo leapt for Sir Meta Knight, hitting him with a quick tackle. As for the beast that attempted to charge her, Impa deftly sidestepped its attempt before rounding on it, drawing her Sheikah Blade and unleashing three quick strikes at its broad back. With a quick backwards strafe to help spread this battle a bit more, especially since she herself was the largest of the four combatants, Impa glanced to Sir Meta Knight once he was up, calling, "Are you all right there?" He had not been hit by too strong of an attack, but it was still best to check considering the new state of things here.

Sure enough, Sir Meta Knight had been correct in that something was heading toward them. Two somethings, in fact. As they drew closer, his eyes narrowed slightly. Something about them was familiar, but that couldn't be. They weren't as large as he had expected--which was good--but something about them was bothering him. He nodded at Impa's statement, not saying anything yet.

As they got closer, their identity became clear. They were...

    ...

    ...they were...

Normally the knight would never let himself become too surprised to move--even when witnessing things such as the betrayal of a supposed friend, he had stood his ground and kept a cool head. But after searching for nearly a month for some way back to Dreamland, it was a shock to find part of the wildlife of Dreamland find its way back to him.

While his shock lasted only a moment, it was enough to let himself get tackled by one of the Grizzos.

"AUGH!" he cried, suddenly finding himself on the ground. While the soft springiness of his body prevented him from being hurt too badly, he was angry at himself for letting himself get tackled like that, and by a Grizzo, no less! Quickly unsheathing Galaxia, he swung a few nasty swipes at the bear, all the while wondering at the back of his head what on Popstar these creatures were doing here, of all places. Had they been taken through a portal, as he had? Or...

No, that had to be it. They had happened through a portal. Dreamland was fine.

He shook the thought away for the moment, channeling his thoughts and energy into the fight. "I am fine," he said to Impa. "These are Grizzos... part of the fauna of Green Greens."

The first Grizzo growled triumphantly as he caught the masked Dreamlander square in his center, tackling him and sending him down to the ground. He landed right on top of him, pinning him to the ground by the edge of his wings, but even from his new vantage point, the knight still had the change to unsheathe his sword.

"GRAR!!" The Grizzo growled and doubled back in pain as his soft belly was struck with the second swing of the warrior's sword. It as a good attack, but he was not about to back off just from that! Refocusing his energy, he charged forward again, hoping to topple his target once more.

As for the second one, he had missed his mark completely, and more than that, he found his back slashed at three times from behind! "GRRF!" That hurt! His eyes wide in surprise, he bounded a few more feet before rounding back on the larger target. She had got a critical hit on him, but he was not about to go down just yet! His own might steady, he resumed his charge, this time attempting to ram her opposite leg.

Impa had a strong feeling that Sir Meta Knight would be all right, but she was still glad to confirm that the surprise tackle had not got him too badly. As she tracked the movements of the small beast that had charged at her, she nodded to her companion, both at his note that he was fine as well as his statement regarding the two bear-like animals. So these were Grizzos, were they? And more than that, they were animals from Sir Meta Knight's homeworld.

A part of her was not sure if the universe was exercising a strange sense of humor towards her given the form of her current curse. Far more than that however, she was intrigued to learn just where the beasts were from… hopefully, that fact would lend to their chances for success in this battle, and possibly even to Meta Knight's eventual acceptance that he was stuck in this world for good.

"I see… I trust fighting them is rather basic, then?" No sooner had she asked that than had the second Grizzo rounded and charged for her again. Just as smoothly as she had the first time, Impa strafed to the side to avoid the attack, once more striking at its back with her Sheikah Blade. Three more slashes dealt, and she had taken a defensive stance… the Grizzos might have seemed simple in their appearance, but she was not about to let up her guard here.
