Touche wrote:"Maybe you should ask your beloved cultists to make you a less easily destroyed wardrobe while you wait for my systems to be repaired instead of drinking the local bar dry."
"HAH!" Judge Fear literally threw back his head and took a moment to curtly laugh. Well, can't say K.A.R.R. didn't have a quick "tongue" about it. Like with the vehicle, however, he had to agree that there was a time and place for loving banter. At the moment their opponent was coming nothing short of unhinged. With a quick dash to the side, the Dark Judge completely avoided a bone-jarring slam from the Lich and escaped unscathed. The same could not be said for K.A.R.R., whose paneling took the full brunt of the damage. It was time for his ally to retaliate and the ghoul was all too happy in enabling this desire. "A drag, was it?" the Dark Judge reiterated. How apt!

As powerful as their enemy was arrogant, the lich had been foolish in its choice of strategies. Why bother attacking an armoured vehicle when its driver had far better utility? While the Dark Judge could not argue that being a powerhouse of mechanical destruction and technological prowess was quite advantageous, there was only so much an automobile could achieve. Many opportunities were barred from K.A.R.R. due to it being as such.

Like, for example, slyly wrapping a thick bundle of the lich's cloth onto K.A.R.R.'s awaiting bumper without being noticed.

The Dark Judge finished tying a robust knot and he silently gave his ally the thumbs up. If you were going to take off like Hell on wheels and drag this poor wretch with you, now was the time! Be sure to run over something painful, like a briar patch or barbed wire fence, won't you?

Yes, laugh at what a horribly inept drunkard you were. All that boozing and you still could not poison away your woes, so long as they knew what to scan for. Unfortunately, while their banter had come to an end, their Lich was not so open to stand back and laugh. As the AI wheeled about to the taught chains, he watched in surprise as the thick links went limp and clattered to the dusty ground, soon followed by a slapping thunder of bare, ragged feet upon the frozen barn floor drawing near at a startling pace.

    BAM!

The vehicle's frame shuddered and groaned from the sheer force of the collision. Within KARR's cabin, the amount of sudden beeps and flickering pod lights was evidence enough of the jostling that his systems suffered. Luckily, it appeared nothing too important had been disabled, so reported the vehicle's self diagnostic. The only thing they would have to worry about on the trip home were a few dislodged headlamp circuits and a loosened air conditioner inlet. Both of which were simple enough to walk the undead lawman through in repairing once this whole escapade was over.

What mattered was keeping this creature busy while Judge Fear secured it to his bumper. KARR's microscanners observed intently as a thicker bundle of the Lich's robes were fastened to him, an approving thumbs up given once a tight enough knot was tied.

No words were needed as KARR gunned his engines, turbines screaming as the vehicle lurched forward at an alarming rate. In but a blink of the Lich's unliving eyes, he would find himself pulled to the ground and already dragged out through the rear door of the barn, which had been briskly shoved aside with enough force to warp the wood until it splintered and bend the hinges beyond repair. Now barreling out into the snow covered fields, KARR and his victim could hardly be seen through the great plumes of white that the Trans-Am's momentum tossed up, zigging and zagging about recklessly until a suitable target had been found.

Ah, a patch of hard stone and gravel, how wonderful! KARR wasted no time altering his course, swinging the Lich around to tumble and rake over the exposed rocks. Each bone splintering snap and crunch was merely a sweet tune to go along with any pained screams.

Hah! Know the true strength of the blessed undead, idiotic machine! The shuddering echo of his charge on the vehicle was enough to give him pause... Mainly due to his mind swimming and body feeling slightly jello-like from the impact. What was this thing made of anyway? The paneling did not dent easily like aluminum or cheap titanium. Bah! the Lich waved away such internally posed questions as trivial details, no matter what this thing was made out of, it would be torn apart and left to rust in the fields once he was done with it.

At least if it would have stayed in one place.

Much to the Lich's dismay and humiliation, he had been so interested in the vehicle that he forgot to keep an eye on that gaudy undead "lawman". It had to be something in the elixir, the ex-priest surmised. That idiot cult leader must have put in too much formaldehyde, he knew it! First it made him flammable and now his mental facilities were beginning to wane.

Though the car suddenly driving off with him tied to it did not necessarily help matters either. With an ungodly shriek the Lich was pulled to the ground and dragged out flailing from the barn, the only positive about this whole circumstance being that the fires upon his body were finally snuffed from all the snow flying over the car and into his face. Swerving around at speeds meant more for the open road than a dusty, snow covered field, the undead's body was tossed and battered about like a string of cans behind a newly wed couple's sedan.

Suddenly the vehicle sharply turned into one of the abandoned fields, rocks kicking up beneath its tires and momentum driving him into the ones too large to be uprooted. Flesh shredding and bones crackling loudly upon the frozen ground, it dug its claws in wherever it could to try and slow the maddened car down, but caught purchase in something more useful.

An old pitchfork. Left to rust and decay from when he had taken over this old dump of a vegetable farm. Ah, memories. Righting himself as best he could against the vehicle's wild movements, the Lich jabbed the pitch fork at his rear tires repeatedly, trying to jam the tines in its wheel well.

    ...Was that a pitchfork?

Indeed it was, but the Dark Judge banished the thought of it for now. After a trail of dust and rotten flesh did the ghoul follow, Judge Fear close behind K.A.R.R.'s screeching wake. Things were dire, quite dire, but now the playing field had been leveled. He could smell the lich's increasing fear; a ripening ambrosia perfecting itself more and more as time continued to leisurely tick away. It wasn't much longer now... There was only one catch, however.

The further K.A.R.R. dragged their foe in its destructive wake, the further Judge Fear had a harder time catching up. This body had been severely wounded - crippled, even. There was no use in this host any longer and yet... the ghoul could not simply materialize a substitute out of thin air. Such a thought also posed a startling realization: what of the dangerous toxins being roughly whisked around within K.A.R.R.'s boot? The Dark Judge ran faster with new purpose, his deteriorating body pushed closer and closer toward its maximum limits as he madly waved for K.A.R.R. to take notice. Slow down, slow down! You were a literal chemical disaster waiting to explode! If those chemicals were provoked for too long and shattered, then Judge Fear would be out of a means to create a new vessel and he would also lose an ally. That cannot be allowed to happen! Perhaps there was something he could do, as useless as this damaged corpse was...

Quickly thinking, Judge Fear reached down for one of his mantraps and he swung it in preparation. You may be irritated at having your joyride so rudely cut short, but you'll be thanking the Dark Judge for not erupting into a pillar of flame and toxic smoke.

His aim careful and precise and his target much more difficult than average, Judge Fear threw a toothed mantrap with all his might in an effort to spare K.A.R.R.'s binary life!

Well, that certainly came as a surprise. KARR's microscanners observed as the Lich, while being bumped and bounced around behind the careening vehicle, had somehow managed to grab onto a piece of farming equipment. A pitchfork, to be exact. What it was doing all the way out there and not in the barn was certainly a puzzling question, but it was of less importance in comparison to the Lich's own destructive and dangerous whims. Twice the pointed fork had been jabbed at KARR's spinning tires, the AI swerving erratically to avoid their points digging into his wheels or even worse, into the wheel well itself.

However, while he was busy keeping his wheels from being poked and stabbed at, his scanners picked up something else moving around in the field. More specifically another undead thing, so said his scanners. Why was he waving his arms around like that? Immedisately the AI scanned his body over for anything that could have been attached to him by the Lich or through his stampede over snow and stone alike. The substances were first to come to his processor, rat poisons, preservatives, pesticides, fertilizer... They were all secured in his trunk, all shoved up against each other, especially that heavy drum of meat preservatives. If they had not grown unstable or spilled when he had been flipped on his roof, he doubted they would suddenly combust now. Besides, the more corrosive and unstable chemicals were still yet to be taken.

Regardless, whatever the Dark Judge had in mind was serious enough that he tossed a mantrap to dislodge the Lich from his bumper. As its metallic teeth had severed the dark cloth, KARR immediately skidded to a stop, reversing and rolling forward over the undead a few times for good measure before turning back toward the ghoulish lawman, driving himself about to his side in a slew of fresh snow. "What is wrong, Judge Fear? Why did you sever the priest from my bumper?" He asked evenly, keeping his scanners on the Lich. Although, the more he looked at it, the more figured it best that they stay close together, given the Dark Judge's wounds.

"...Get in. My shell will suffer that creature's attacks far better than your body." KARR advised, his driver's side door popping open with a click. "I will drive, you can catch him with your traps or perhaps toss another of your little ones when we pass him." Engines rumbling eagerly, the AI awaited his driver's answer.

Every bump and bang only managed to knock the pitchfork off course, hitting nothing but air or bouncing off the ground. Damn this confounded thing, he could flip it over so easily, and yet immobilizing it was a near impossibility once it had gotten moving through the snow. How could it even move that quickly through heavy snow anyway?

Out of the corner of his burning gaze he could see a figure hobbling out to meet them, or more, the insulting visage of that lesser, false blessed. had he finally come to his senses and wished to surrender? Regardless of what the ghoul's true intention was, the Lich braced himself as a man trap was thrown, though to his surprise its teeth had severed him from the vehicle. Bumping and bouncing over the frozen ground, the Lich finally skidded to a stop, a low groan escaping his battered form.

A limb reached out to pick himself up off the ground, though stopped as he noticed a red glow upon his decayed and shredded flesh, along with a whine of turbines that drew steadily closer. What was?... Oh no, it wasn't thinking of-!

    Crunch! Splurch! Crack!

"HhhhHHhhuurgh..." By the time the car had finished with its ruthless double tap, the Lich's body was printed with oozing tread marks, bones crushed and flesh tenderized. Oh, he was certain that machine had busted a few of his ribs, now that he thought about it, though he could not tell given the solution had managed to dull most of his nerves by that point. However, the Lich could not but feel surprisingly short of breath... Shakily the undead grabbed at the ground, pulling himself up out of the ground.

"I- hhghh..Ssstill have the -hunghhh... Advantage." He chanted to himself as he rose to his feet. There they were, but what were they doing? Bickering more, he supposed. No matter, if they could not kill him while working apart, then they would have no chance against his might even if they worked together. He was undying and unliving, an everlasting champion of the dead!

Willing himself forward, the Lich began to stagger towards his adversaries, a claw outstretched as if to grab at them as he slowly made his way through the deep snow.

    Snap!

The Dark Judge whipped back the chain and caught his mantrap in one seamless motion, a horrid disaster averted. What's wrong? That was certainly a million dollar question. "Are you not aware that your boot is a literal goldmine of caustic elements?" Judge Fear hissed. Of course K.A.R.R. would have known - it was an incredibly advanced AI - but it was never wise to assume. "We have tempted fate long enough; you getting tipped over is the extent of my comfort when it concerns such unstable resources." Anything else, and K.A.R.R. may very well set off an irreversible chain reaction. They were both already damaged enough as it was.

In any event, his ally was safe and the lich was desperately trying to reach them. To rip out the ghoul's throat and make a scrap pile out of K.A.R.R., no doubt. Pity, because nothing of that morbid sort will take place.

"A grand offer but I have something much better in mind," said the Dark Judge. He could not die, not fully, and Judge Fear highly doubted that the lich was capable of achieving such an impossible feat. Knowing this and having nothing to concern himself with, the ghoul respectfully shut K.A.R.R.'s door and headed for the vehicle's boot. "Open it up," he requested with a raspy hum. Assuming his ally would comply, the Dark Judge reached inside for two items of importance: a box of matches that he had swiped and, secondly, a bottle of highly-flammable kerosene. Why the ghoul had chosen to take these materials was for a task only he could divine. "Done," Judge Fear stated, closing K.A.R.R.'s boot with a hearty whump! He tucked the kerosene beneath an arm and held onto the matches tightly, grip very much like the grave's chill. Choosing to yet again refrain from attack this round, Judge Fear went on to further suggest, "Keep our gurgling friend busy. I've got a rather lovely plan for him."

Nothing else was explained as the Dark Judge proceeded off into the deep snow, K.A.R.R. left to its lonesome. What was the ghoul up to?

So it was the chemicals in his trunk. "I am aware of my cargo, yes. However, many of the elements I carry are only unstable when around extreme heat. Unless you were worried that they would spill while I was dealing with our priest." KARR replied, scanning over his trunk once more. All of the containers were still in place, if not shuffled around a little from his maneuvers. Although he could have sworn that one box was not upside down before his run in with the undead priest. "Very well. Would you rather we unload our chemicals and let them sit while we deal with this creature?" He asked, popping his trunk open and raising the lid when instructed. Although what other plan did the Dark Judge have where his badly damaged form would fare better outside of his armored shell?

After all, the chill would keep them stable, and he doubted that any of the cultists would dare tamper with them after their display back in the barn. In fact, he was certain they all retreated somewhere once their priest had consumed the vial's contents... Wait a moment, kerosene? How did that escape his scanners? And matches to boot! "...Judge Fear, why did you place matches of all things in the trunk when you could have stored them within the glove box?" The place where it would kept separate from the possibly flammable and volatile materials should anything grow rough enough to ignite them. The AI could only count himself lucky that his driver did not have the genius to place a lighter in the trunk with the flammable materials.

"...I see. I will keep our target busy for as long as you need." He replied evenly as the undead walked off. When would it be that the ghoul would share his ideas instead of leaving the AI to puzzle it out? Even in undeath it appeared humans were a greatly unpredictable species.

Engines revving, KARR turned his scanners back onto the false Lich. Apparently it simply could not wait for him to return and add a few more tread marks to its body. How it could still gurgle speech with its jaw shot off was a great mystery though. Ah, but that could be solved later. Snow spitting from beneath his tries, the vehicle nearly leaped forward as it bared down on the hobbling creature, its arm raised and reaching in a manner most cliche. Wasting no time in accelerating to his limits, KARR barreled nose first into the decaying creature, uncompassionate as its bones shattered over his shell and beneath his wheels. Having passed, the vehicle turned about and came to a stop, engine revving a challenge and a single amber light pacing methodically from side to side.

Go on, stand again. The AI would enjoy knocking him into the ground until the sun rose.

So merciless, so unyeilding... If only this vehicle's targeting system was as stout as its wrath. The Lich could see his attackers advancing a good ways away, bracing himself as best he could as they drew closer, and closer until finally...

"Huugh." The Lich sidestepped the vehicle's attempt at running him into the ground a second time, a hideous laugh gurgling from where his mouth once was. Did it really think it would be that easy to kill a champion such as he? Fools! Watching the vehicle storm away and skid about to face him, the Liche merely bent down with a labored groan and retrieved a stone from the ground, weighing it with a few idly tosses in his hand before turning his burning gaze back towards the two toned car.

"Ghhuuuuuooogh." He sighed, raising his free hand and pointing to the vehicle before turning his wrist and beckoning with his bony fingers. He could not hear the two from the distance he had been earlier, but given the other undead had left his vehicle to deal with him, there had to be something that they were up to. So said the still fully functioning and reasoning part of his mind. Ah, but what could that old ghoul do? He was hobbling around and trailing his innards wherever he walked.

A curt snort was puffed to the wind, steam and black mist pooling from his throat at the thought. With it, the Lich reached his arm back before tossing his rock at the vehicle, before fishing out a few more from the ground and throwing those at the car as well.

Get mad, make some mistakes... Sooner or later this thing had to run out of fuel, and then he would have his victory.
