Of all the times for Judge Fear to show his sass. "Correct, I am the prototype." KARR affirmed, the flat tone in the Judge's voice noted. If he could, the AI would have sent his own unpressed look right back at him. Look how he struggled to keep the hose from pushing him back from the water pressure alone. "Champion of Undeath, wasn't it?" What happened to killing someone with a glance, hm? So long as he was stuck in the same rut, two could pay this game.  However, the AI was too distracted to notice a claw sweep out of the dust cloud, his only warning being the whoosh of air before bleached talons raked over his paneling.

Regardless of the ghoul's disbelief in the vehicle's lack of long range weaponry, KARR's scanners were still operating at full capability. Within the walls of the barn on the ground level, The AI found some weaponry sitting towards the back. Hidden beneath a tarp, he could make out the shapes of a few high powered rifles, much like the one the man had been wielding earlier and some spare grenades. Apparently he had an interest in stock piling his fire power for whatever reason, perhaps extra arms to give to his family when the time came. Too bad they never had the chance to retrieve them.

"I detect a small stockpile of firearms and grenades stored in the back of the barn. If I can stall the skeleton long enough, you can get them and throw the grenades. As for the hose, I have an idea. Clamp the end of it in my door, I'll keep the spray on him until your return." KARR stated, his tone cool despite the fiery pandemonium going on around them. However, there had to be a more effective way to obliterate this thing... His scanners directed themselves back to the fiery fissure that the skeletal beast was lodged in. What if that was how the creature was still tied to the farm and perhaps this world? "When you get the grenades, throw them at the fissure. I have an idea that perhaps destroying it will send our adversary back to whence he came." He quickly added.

With that, the AI clicked his door open in offering to take the water hose off Judge fear's hands.

    Why you cheeky son-of-a...

The Dark Judge merely huffed and redirected his gaze at their opponent. "Just keeping you on your wheels," he evenly remarked. As for their flamboyant sinner, watching the fiery abomination flail about and futilely struggle against the water was perhaps THE highlight of Judge Fear's day. The fact that K.A.R.R. was taking a beating for its insolence was also a highlight, but a distant second compared to the first. Now, you want the ghoul to stop watering his lovely rose and go fetch a few weapons? If he could sneer or grimace, the Dark Judge surely would have. Guns? Grenades? Ugh, a sinner's choice at dispensing justice. But if that is what K.A.R.R. so wanted... "Very well. The honour is all yours," said the ghoul as he handed off the hose. It was a little strange watching an automobile hold something using only its door...

Once again Judge Fear took off, the undead lawman heading for the back of the barn for the weapons K.A.R.R. had detected. Well, it shouldn't be so bad tossing a few grenades... Much better than using a crude firearm.

Oh look at the two, how they bantered with each other so readily. How absolutely amusing, the skeleton thought as he fended off another spray of water. "YOU TWO BICKER LIKE OLD BITCHES!" He jeered through the torrent, steam clouding his -bony face as he snapped his teeth together. "YOU FIGHT LIKE THEM TOO! LET ME SHOW YOU REAL POWER!" The skeleton gave a roaring cackle as he brought his hands to the sky, uncaring of the plan that was unfolding before him. Whatever they thought to do in order to defeat him would do nothing to aid their situation, as even in his dwindling form he still held enough power to take out the two assailants and the entire farm with it.

"I WILL SEND YOU BOTH TO OBLIVION!" The skeleton hollered, energy beginning to warp around its bony claw tips. Steadily the energy began to grow as he charged fiery energies, it was only a matter of time before demise was certain...

Heralding Doom: The skeleton is charging a powerful attack! However, it cannot attack for three turns while doing so. Flip three coins: If all HIT, the charging is completely disrupted and the attack fails.

Read it and weep, Judge Fear. Read it and weep.

Speaking of keeping one on their wheels, it seemed the skeleton yet again had something to comment about. This time the topic was their bickering of all things. KARR remained silent, more than content to let this creature's demise speak for itself and leave its lasting burn instead of wasting energy upon it. As for the hose, it was son handed off to him as the Dark Judge agreed to finding the extra armaments. While he may not enjoy having to use what could be considered lesser weaponry, the impact of the grenades would hopefully be enough to finish what was started without completely flooding the sky with steam for miles around.

Hopefully no one heard the screaming and decided to call the local fire department.

Wait, what was the creature doing this time? It suddenly ceased its attacks, screaming about how they would be sent to oblivion as claws were raised high. Energy warped and built around its bony talons steadily, but it seemed that the skeleton was too preoccupied to pay attention to both car and ghoul. An opportunity that was once in a lifetime considering the nature of the fight, but at the same time they still did damage to the creature with the hose... Water did not seem to jostle the skeleton from its trance, and the energy continued to grow.

"Make haste, Judge Fear! It's readying some sort of attack!" KARR warned, keeping the hose firmly pinned between his door and body. Once those grenades were attained, they may be rid of this thing once and for all.

Bickering like old - "I top," Judge Fear quickly pointed out.

Anyway, back to finding those grenades. The Dark Judge wasn't, admittedly, the best candidate for this job; he had a piss-poor sense of physical self-preservation. Nevertheless, he spotted a box of explosive darlings and quickly ripped off its wooden lid. Let's see, let's see... He counted at least eight grenades and, true to Judge Fear's nature, the ghoul grabbed all of them. In the next moment the Dark Judge was back at K.A.R.R.'s side, his grin seemingly from bat wing ornament-to-bat wing ornament. "Found them," he piped up cheerfully. Now to blow up the sinner and claim this land for justice!

The Dark Judge removed all the pins and showed no signs of concern for his actions. Why? He was an undead spirit! K.A.R.R., however? Eh, he's got all that metal. Judge Fear held up the ticking time bombs and tossed them into the fissure with startling accuracy, one after the other.

...Did they need this barn again?

Eeeeugh, the guy was an undead murderer and he slept with his car! That was lower than most of the hicks around this part of the  heartlands. However, the skeleton did not voice his thoughts this time, far too focused on summoning forth the mystical energies that may be. No amount of water coursing through his bones or words uttered by the very bloodthirsty swine that scattered before him like vermin would deter him from his all noble mission.

The only sound that came from the bony abomination was a dull thrumming sound, which grew louder with each passing moment.

As the Dark Judge had ran out of the barn, the skeleton could not help but galce down at him and his arms that were full of... No, those could not be grenades. His grenades! Alas it was indeed true, and just like that they were tossed in his very direction. His gaze turned back to the swirling energies, refusing to break his concentration as only one of the grenades managed to detonate near him with a dull boom.

They would have to do better than that, and time was not on their side in the least.

As Judge fear had run off into the barn, KARR's systems managed to pick up a rather confusing statement from the ghoul in response to the skeletal abomination. What did he mean by he topped? For now the AI figured it to be a mix up in the Judge's grammar, keeping the hose gripped against his frame as it continued to douse the fiery skeleton.

After a few short moments, Judge fear quickly returned, sounding quiet satisfied with his find. In his arms were eight grenades, all live and useful for blowing the bony primadona out of the fissure once and for all. "Perfect, Judge Fear. Show him no mercy." KARR encouraged, watching as they were lobbed one by one at the massive skeleton. However, it seemed that while they were live, some managed to detonate on the skeleton while many more bounced off his bones and went into the grass. The resulting explosions enough to make small craters in the rural fields, the last of the projectiles spent.

The hose was working wonders, but the AI doubted that it alone would be enough to stop the entranced creature for good. It needed to be broken out of summoning energies before it took them and possibly the entire farm with it. "Judge Fear, I will need you to keep a grip on the hose. Keep it steady while I go and ensure this creature stays down for good." The AI stated, relinquishing his grip on it before pulling away, turbines screaming.

Mud spraying from under his tires, the Trans-Am tore across the now muddy ground. His sensors locked onto the charred and cracked vertebrae, undoubtedly damaged from the previous grenade barrage. If he could hit it just right, the skeleton hopefully would be sent toppling down. The distance closed rapidly, KARR's scanner pacing madly from side to side as he rammed into the skeleton's spine full force.

    Such explosion!
    Much fire!
    WOW!

How delightful it was to see the sinner helplessly assailed by destructive grenades. Did you like a taste of your own home medicine, hmm? There was no mercy to be had for the skeletal abomination on this fateful day, as Judge Fear had every intention of sending it back to whatever miserable Hell it came. When asked to hold the hose and keep the sinner's flames suppressed, the ghoul was only happy to oblige. "Certainly, certainly! We wouldn't want our captive audience to burn the whole place down, now, do we?" he rhetorically asked, currently in much higher spirits. The Dark Judge must no doubt sense that their enemy was nearing the end of his wretched life.

He contently observed K.A.R.R. take the lead, pleased to hear a resounding - CRACK! - as metal collided with bone. In short, the sinner hadn't a prayer. There was a spectacular shower of bone and the abomination was no more. For good measure the Dark Judge doused K.A.R.R.'s marred paneling to free it of any lingering embers. "All in an honest day's work," stated the ghoul. He tossed the hose aside, as there was no longer any need for water, and Judge Fear further added, "Aside from the barn's minimal damage, everything upon this farm is now ours. Our next task is to create a pit so the dead can now finally rest." The Dark Judge wasn't going to be doing anything else until that promise had been fulfilled. It was still debatable if the recent sinner they had judged would be respectfully buried or simply left out for stray dogs to carry far, far away. Now that the battle was over and they could enjoy a brief reprieve, Judge Fear fully glanced upon K.A.R.R. and discovered a somber realization.

"You have sustained moderate damage," he noted, studying the vehicle's many gouges. It was evident where the blaze had struck. As for himself, the Dark Judge's body was worse for wear. Holes, ragged wounds, his uniform in tatters at several places; yes, he had equally suffered. Ah, now the Dark Judge remembered what he had wanted to say earlier...

Judge Fear looked back to K.A.R.R. and said, "Good work. We made for a great team today." The vehicle should be wondering if that compliment had more to it, but there wasn't a chance. Already determined to make that pit before sundown, the ghoul left K.A.R.R.'s company in order to find a shovel.

    Perhaps another time.

With a shrieking cry the skeleton had fallen, bones disconnecting from each other and plummeting back down into the fissure. Once every bone had fallen back the fissure rumbled and began to close itself like a healing wound. Smoke and dust plumed from it once more before it sealed fully, only an ashen scar remaining where the militia man and his fiery form once stood. With nothing for the water to hit, it splashed down upon the ground and the vehicle as it gracefully power-slid through the mud and drove back towards the Dark Judge.

"An honest day's work indeed." KARR remarked evenly, slowing down and turning about to the Dark Judge's side. However, even with the toil they had done already, it seemed there was still work to be done. The AI took a scan of himself, already in realization of the damages that had been sustained. Parts of his MBS paneling had been burned and badly scratched from the skeleton's supernatural claws and fire, though otherwise he was intact. However the AI would not mind a reprieve from fighting for a few days until they could find a way to get his shell back into proper shape. How strange that it fell so easily to that brief encounter and yet before he had arrived here it could hold against nearly all damage.

He would have to analyze just what kind of "special coating" the Technician and mechanic had spread over the weakened armor. Whatever it was, the performance it gave was evident that it could not hold a flame to true Tri-Helical Molecular Bonded Shell.

"Very well," KARR stated as Judge Fear wished to deal with the bodies. "While you bury the dead, I will monitor the surrounding perimeter for any witnesses that we may have missed." There was little else the AI could do, aside from watching the ghoul go about the burial process. As for the statement regarding the AI's damage, he reassured the Dark Judge quickly. "A few of my microscanners were damaged during the fight, but otherwise I am fully operational. I was lucky the fires were brief enough to not penetrate further than my shell. It will take maintenance to repair, but it is not an essential detail." Looking at the Dark Judge however, the AI wondered how he was still moving around with all those tears and holes in his body.

"Would you expect anything less from a prototype?" He replied confidently, giving a small rev of his engines before cruising off and into the tall grass. While the Judge's compliment was rather simple, in light of the day they had it was better to cut losses and do with what was gained. Hopefully his patrol would be far less eventful than their takeover of the farm.
