    Waker of the Reunion

Sheik made sure to hold the door until Tetra had fully entered the Stock Pot Inn, and once she was just inside the lobby, she followed after the older girl, stepping around her as she started to take in the homey, familiar surroundings. The disguised princess smiled to the pirate captain, once again feeling as though she was taking a glimpse into her own past here when she herself had first arrived at the inn... the nature and inner anticipation in both of their arrivals had been a little different of course, but the wide-eyed curiosity was almost identical.

The building itself had definitely been Hyrulean in nature, so much to the point that even with its modern additions, it still felt enough like home to feel extra inviting and familiar enough to help with her settling here. Even though Tetra was from the time of the Great Sea, Sheik hoped that she would gain that same sense that she herself had felt... given the way that the older Link described his own arrival here, she had a very strong feeling that she would.

The atmosphere of the Stock Pot Inn had been one of the main things that had helped Link, Link, Impa, and Sheik herself adapt better to life on the Breach. The only things that had helped more were the presence of their fellow Hyruleans that had since become like family... and right now, the disguised princess hoped that getting to see a certain Hero of Winds would better help Tetra out now that she had appeared in this world.

"Welcome to the Stock Pot Inn," said Sheik, turning to Tetra with a slight smile, the collar of her tunic still down around her neck. Pausing a moment to let her continue taking everything in, she added, "See what I mean? It's definitely from our world, so that familiarity is great, but there are some differences its got since its been here. I can promise they're all good, though."

Giving the older girl a few more moments to get her bearings, Sheik soon lifted her hand and jabbed a thumb behind herself, stating, "I'll just go check on something and be right back. Just wait here for a moment and we can track down some information, all right?"

At that, Sheik nodded to Tetra before turning and walking over towards the reception, outright grinning once she saw both Link and Link inside of the office. With a wave to her friends as she stepped into the doorframe, she said, "Hey guys!" With a nod to both of them as they returned her greeting, she soon looked to the older boy, making sure to keep her own excitement contained as she added, "Hey Link, would you mind coming out to the lobby for a minute? I think there's someone here that you might like to see."

Tetra followed the boy through the doorway, part still in stunned silence that it wasn't just people that get suck into this world but actual buildings too and other part frowning over herself. She... probably shouldn't have stopped Sheik like that. Not everyone knew of the Triforce nor of the Hylian Crest - Din, even her own crew didn't know about them (save Mako who was by far the most well read member of her crew and recognise seeing it if not what they were) and they're pretty well travelled. In stopping him and in her own wide eyed staring, she hoped she did not give something away. She'd have to do some quick thinking as to how to lie and bluff her way out of it if the bandaged boy ever asked anything.

Once inside the building, Tetra blinked. Everything looked... exceptionally normal. She had expected the interior to be just as strange to her as the streets outside but there wasn't actually too much that she wasn't familiar with in here. Wooden desk, floor, mail sorting pigeon holes, bookcase, chairs etc.

"I see what you mean..." started Tetra then trailed off as she looked around a bit more. Despite her wariness of being in a completely new world outside of her own volition, the pirate found herself losing another level of her guard and she visibly relaxed just a touch more. She blinked as Sheik mentioned having to check on something and once the boy turned around, Tetra's eyes narrowed. Check on something? Check on what? It sounded a little fishy if you asked Tetra and she had taken one step forward to follow the him before she stopped herself.

Oh no, what if she's walking into a trap if she followed him? Tetra's eyes flicked to the door she just entered by. Sheik had been nothing but polite and nice to her so far. Was this as far as her trust for him went?

With a sigh and a grumble, she crossed her arms and waited. Not without first angling and positioning herself so that she had a clear run for the door if anything did end up wrong though.

Link could still hardly believe that they had all been free of their curses for the past few days, but even though he had effectively been used to it since the evening of their first day being cured, it was still amazing to him. He couldn't help it! He was just that relieved! Especially after his own experience being trapped in the form of a Deku Scrub, the Hero of Time was particularly glad to get to feel that immense sense of relief again, and it had been intensified because this time, that feeling was extended to three of his closest friends as well.

The four Hyruleans had had a little fun with their masks in the first day or two after they had been cured, but for the next while, they were all perfectly content to just be themselves. Link himself had especially enjoyed being able to stand outside in the rain, feeling the cooling drops hit his face without having to worry about turning into a rabbit… but with as refreshing as it had been to enjoy being in and around water without worry of transforming one way or the other, it was even more so to be able to see just how happy his friends were too.

Things had been pretty normal since then, and this afternoon, Link found himself inside of the innkeeper's office, both Link and himself working on some end-of-the-month paperwork, general organization, and a few other related tasks. It was nothing major, but the paperwork especially had to be finished soon since tomorrow was the last day of the month. Thankfully, the two boys had made excellent progress and were just a few checks shy of being finished, so it looked as though they might be able to do the final look tomorrow morning and call it done.

Link's ears had perked up once he heard someone enter the lobby, but he didn't pay much mind to it since so many people passed through there in a given day anyways. It was more of a reflex that shifted to him staying ready to act just in case if someone needed help from Link and/or himself, and without even pausing to glance to the door, he continued helping out his friend with the current bit of filing.

A moment later though, his ears perked up once more, soon followed by a big grin across his features as he heard the voice of a certain disguised princess. Looking up to the door to see Sheik standing there, Link put his own stack of papers in their proper place before calling back, "Hey Sheik! Welcome back!"

Before their greetings could turn into too much though, Tatl soon chimed as Link blinked in curiosity at what the disguised princess told the older Link. Someone he might like to see? Now this was intriguing… maybe it was a friend of theirs he hadn't seen in a while? Exchanging a glance with Sheik before looking back to Link, Link noted, "We're at a good stopping point. Come on, let's go see who's here."

Link was humming. Why? Because he was in a good mood. It was the end of summer, they were curse-free and they could actually walk out into the rain now without becoming pig, rabbit, panda and boy. What isn't there to be a good mood about? In fact, on the second day after they were cured, he had dragged the lot of them to the beach, delighted to jump into the waves and not have to rely on a swimming ring anymore.

And now that the excitement was over, another sort of excitement was happening - namely, the adrenaline rush of getting paperwork done before a deadline. Thankfully, the Links had been pretty on top of the work around with their curses and enjoying summer, so there wasn't a lot left to be done. Signing off yet another document, he handed it straight to Ciela who flew off to the other side of the office where the Spirits were stapling, paperclipping, hole-punching, beta-reading, filing and what not to make the sheets presentable and neat.

As the front door bell chimed from being open, Link did glance up but only enough to take in the time. Wow, how did it get to three thirty? Link yawned, stretched his arms upwards and idly wondered who just came in through the door? Which tenant was it who was returning in from a nice summer day? He reached for a cookie from the plate the the kitchen staff very undiscreetly left in their office and whilst mid-munch, the corner of his eye caught sight of Sheik standing in the open doorway of the office.

"Aa!" greeted Link with a grin and a wave. The cheeriness then turned quickly into curiosity as the disguised princess turned to focus attention on himself. Someone he like to see? Baffled, he looked over at his nametwin wondering if he had any idea who this was. Maybe somebody he haven't seen in a long time? Who would that be? Maybe it's a new tenant? But why him specifically?

With a nod, he got out of his seat, picked up the plate of cookies and stepped up towards Sheik. "Mm-mur," mumbled the boy as he swallowed the last of his own cookie and offered Sheik one from the pla.....te... BEFORE he got a good view, just from a tiny gap between Sheik's shoulder and the doorframe, Link saw a flash of blond in an unmistakeable updo.

Suddenly, the plate of treats was shove into his friend's hands and he grabbed her by the shoulders and moved her aside. His eyes widened, his entire body froze and his grip on Sheik's shoulders tightened as he just gaped at the only other person in the reception area.

This was a dream, right? If it was it was too cruel. It's not a dream? It's real? He didn't even dare look away to check if his friends were seeing the same thing he did lest the moment he turned back it turned out to really be an illusion.

Is that really...  But... how did... where did.. wasn't she...

    HUH?!

The person on the other side blinked and Link knew he wasn't looking at a very well made statue.

"AA!" was the loud cry that blasted across the room before the Hero of Winds was no longer standing in the doorway but instead vaulting across the reception desk. Before the pirate captain knew what was happening nor dodge, she was tackled by a green coloured blur, her face smooshed in a pair of hands, her shoulders and arms patted to made sure they were real and her face smooshed again and then the entire thing ended with a bark of laughter that sounded between a cry and a happy yelp.

Link picked her up and spun her.

Sheik was glad that Tetra was able to not only see the familiar feel of the Stock Pot Inn, but also that it seemed to help her relax just a little more as she looked about it. Her own curiosity regarding their surroundings brought the disguised princess back to her own arrival here just shy of two years ago, and she herself was determined to help make the pirate captain's settling as smooth as possible. At the very least, she already had a Hyrulean base here that had started with her very own Hero of Winds, and hopefully Sheik, Link, and Impa would be able to help out further.

As she turned to go check for her two best friends in the office, Sheik could tell that Tetra was already set to follow after her anyways. Thankfully though, she did stop after a single step, causing the disguised princess' eyebrows to shift into a sheepish expression. The older girl was understandably still a bit on edge given her recent arrival here… it was a very abrupt change after all, but hopefully, seeing Link would help replace some of that guarded nature with even more relief. Her remaining confusion was undoubtedly going to be increased once she met him again, but at the very least, seeing him would be able to help all of them get on track with full explanations for her regarding how and why she was here.

Happy to see Link and Link return her grin and wave, it was all Sheik could do to keep from grinning further at at catching the older boy's confusion over just who might be out in the lobby. She nodded to Link as he stood and stepped towards her, set to take an offered cookie from the plate… right before she found the plate very suddenly thrust into her hands and her own shoulders grabbed by her best friend.

"Hah?" Sheik called, her red eyes widening as she felt Link start to move her to the side. She moved in the direction he had guided her, right before her gaze switched from reading the stunned expression on his face to just where he was focusing. It appeared that in Tetra's initial attempt to follow her, the Hero of Winds had caught the tiniest glimpse of the pirate captain.

As Link stared in disbelief and tightened his hold on her shoulders, Sheik glanced from the patently waiting Tetra back to her friend, her eyes soon widening a touch more as she caught even more of his expression. The look he wore was almost identical to the one the Hero of Time had when he had first reunited with her… the way he was gaping in shock, the way he held his breath… it was the same.

This time however, it was the Link that made the first move, and as soon as he was able to determine that he really was seeing Tetra there, Link cried out and bolted forward. A leap over the reception desk and he quickly closed the distance to the pirate captain, immediately smooshing her face and checking on her to see that she was in fact there, right before he outright laughed and caught her in a strong hug.

Sheik's surprised expression shifted to a thrilled grin as the younger Link stepped beside her, his own stunned reaction still evident in his blue gaze. As the older boy began to spin Tetra around though, the disguised princess simply whispered, "She's here… she's finally here."

Post by Tetra on Mon Sep 23, 2013 7:30 pm

Tetra tried very hard not to eavesdrop on whatever Sheik was saying to the people in what she presume was...the captain squinted and could just about read the words off the angled glass of the door her companion is standing in the doorway of the... OFFICE. Wait, Sheik went behind the desk so naturally. Did that mean he was on good terms with the staff here? That made sense and no wonder he spoke highly of this place as well.

She flicked her gaze out to the street, visible through the windows and scowled, already wishing to be back to sea where everywhere was water, water and more water. This place is turning out to be a pretty big island.

From the corner of her eye, the disguised princess picked up movement and instantly she turned back around only to blink several times because somebody she knew very, very well had joined the standing in the doorway to the office.

Her eyes widened and her brows crinkled together. HUH?!

Why was HE here? He was swimming towards the Big Octo the last she remembered. Wait, was the boy reckless enough to chase after her and the boat and got sucked up as well? The knitting of brow softened a little at that, knowing her friend cared as much as to jump into a monster to fetch her but just as quickly as she was feeling touched, she was soon wanting to cluck her tongue. Tck! Great! If HE was here then how was she to contact her pirates?! She doesn't actually carry a Pirate's Charm for each of her crew members you know! Actually, maybe she has the one for Gonz--

Tetra flinched as suddenly Link wasn't there by the door but charging straight at her.

"What?! HUH?! WAIT!" she managed to cry, so surprised that even her usual swiftness was failing to react in time. Before she could dodge, she was tackled then Link's hands were on her face doing something she could only say nobody had done in a VERY long time and the last time it happened, it was Senza, she was eight and she kicked him hard enough on the shin to leave a bruise.

She was too surprised to kick this time though and in her stupor, Link's hands went to her shoulders, patting and squeezing her limbs far too hard for it to be a standard worried health check. Okay, so being spat out by a Big Octo doesn't result in injuries - usually - but you could be a bit more gent--"MUHPPH! -IINKH?"

Once was more than enough and she was sure to conk him in the head with her knuckles later for it. But a second time?

    What...

    WHAT?!

    Was she missing something here?

"HWAA!" yelped the the captain, her eyes turning the the size of saucers as she was enveloped in a tight hug and her feet was off the ground. "Haaah? GYA!"

    And she was spun.

What in all of Great Sea was happening here?

"Link!" she squawked, wriggling in his grasp and grimacing at the way her arms were pinned right to her sides.

"It was JUST a Big Octo! Happens all the time! Did you hit your head or something?! PUT. ME. DOWN," she barked out, trying to find her voice as she was spun around. Confused and majorly annoyed at being left out of the loop by now, Tetra attacked in the only way she could: she chomped down on Link's shoulder.

As the older boy looked to him with a perplexed look in his eyes, Link met his gaze and simply shrugged. He had about as good an idea as to who was out in the lobby as Link did, and as such, he was just about as baffled. Someone that the Hero of Winds had not seen in a long time could very easily extend to both them, really all three of them, so the possibilities were nearly endless. Also, given the disguised princess' phrasing, he personally doubted that it was a new tenant... still, he found his own curiosity growing, and he too nodded before moving to follow Link towards the door.

Chuckling a bit at Link's mumbling as he began to offer a cookie to Sheik, Link stopped suddenly, blinking in surprise and raising his eyebrows at his older nametwin's quick change of action. Instead of holding the plate out for the disguised princess, he instantly shoved it into her hands, right before grabbing her by the shoulders and moving her aside. Tatl let out a stunned chime at this, but before Link could ask if his friend was all right, he flicked his blue gaze in the direction that Link was looking.

Now it was his turn to freeze, his own eyes widening in disbelief as he saw just why Link had reacted so... this Link might not have met the person before them yet outside of stories regarding her, but he had seen enough pictographs and drawings of her to recognize her instantly.

Tetra. Tetra was here. The Princess Zelda from the future Link's time was here!

"AH?!" Link exclaimed, managing to glance to Sheik quickly to see if he could glean anything from her expression. He knew that the disguised princess had gone out on an errand for them earlier... had... had she found Tetra while she was outside?!

Link could hardly think about that at the moment though, as alongside his own shock at seeing Tetra standing right here in the lobby and his focus returning to her, his own mind was soon sent reeling back to that unexpected, happy reunion nearly two years ago, when Zelda herself had arrived on the Breach. Back then, he had not seen his best friend in just over a year... to have finally been able to see her again, to see that she was safe... he had been so unbelievably happy. And now, his older nametwin got to experience the same surprise... his own Zelda was here... alive, safe, and sound.

He was still outright stunned that the pirate captain was actually here, but as he was starting to feel extra happy for Link as well as excited that he himself would finally get to meet another Zelda, Link was suddenly caught off guard again as the older boy cried out before bolting forward. In no time, he had vaulted over the reception desk and continued his sprint until he effectively pounced Tetra, smooshing her face and checking her all over to see that she was actually there. His quick look over the pirate captain seemed to prove that she really was there and herself, and with an ecstatic laugh from the Hero of Winds, Tetra was soon caught in a big, spinning hug.

Grinning at catching Sheik's whispered statement, and soon finding himself brought back from his own surprise at it, Link could only nod slightly, noting, "Yeah… she is."

Laughing a bit more at Tetra's response to Link's reaction, Link watched as she tried to get the Hero of Winds' attention. She was able to after a few moments… although the younger boy winced in sympathy as he saw her bite down on his older nametwin's shoulder to do so. Well, that was one way to snap him back to the present…

The shoulders, the arms, the face. They were all real! Tetra really was in front of him. He was dreaming, right? But it feels very real! But if he smooshed Tetra's face like this in real life, she would had punched him by now. This is a dream. A dream. NO, IT WASN'T! Farore, he can actually feel her in his arms! He wasn't spinning around an illusion or anything. This was really Tetra.

The fairies unpeeled from their work, curious over the ruckus happening in the lobby and arrived just in time to hear Link fall into unstoppable laughter as he spun the pirate around.

"Wait?! HUH?" was Ciela's response, jolting a whole foot into the air in surprise and bumping into a Leaf who had forgot how to flap his wings. "TETRA?!"

"Tetra?!" Neri's higher pitched voice echoed, flying forward instead of up like her fellow spirit then froze and turned to Link, Tatl and Sheik helplessly. Was this really real? She wasn't sure what to do! She was Tetra, right?

"Is she from a time where she... knows us?" asked the fairy quietly, trying her best not to get her hopes up. So far it seems like she recognises Link but what if she was from a time before the World of the Ocean King? They haven't really interacted but still, it would be painful to meet somebody from your world and they don't have any idea who your were... then Neri flinched as she sensed something. "I..."

The Spirit of Wisdom looked at Sheik uncertainly, then down a little as if she's trying to look at herself before her gaze travelled in stupefied awe back to Tetra. "Was this... what it felt like when you met me too?" she whispered to the disguised princess by her side.

Back over at the spinning pair, there was a yelp and the spin fumbled and stumbled clumsily to halt before they lost balance altogether and they both ended up on the floor, Tetra half on top of Link.

"Nga-ah!" complained the boy, releasing one hand from around his good friend to nurse his shoulder. Before a stupid grin crossed his face again. It HURT. This wasn't a dream at all and Tetra was indeed there. He was so happy that when the captain tried to shove off him and get back up again, he grabbed her and pulled her down for a tight hug that suffocated her to his chest fully aware of the beating he might get with the action but not caring about it at this moment in time.

Somebody from his world! Not just anybody. It was Tetra! Sheik, where did you find her? Goddesses, he wanted to cry now. Thank you! Thank you!

Sheik could tell that Tetra was also surprised to see that Link was here, albeit not nearly as stunned as the older boy was of course. Her grin grew even more at Tetra's reaction to being summarily picked up and spun around in a tight hug, and she could not help but laugh silently as the pirate captain exclaimed what had happened to her and for Link to put her down. The disguised princess knew that her best friend would be ecstatic to see the older girl, possibly even a the slightest bit more than her Link had been to see her considering how long he had been on the Breach, but his thrilled reaction was even more outright than she had imagined, and she was honored to be able to see it take place.

At Link's echoing of her sentiment and the surprised calls from Ciela and Neri, Sheik soon reached up to catch Leaf, having sensed that the Spirit of Power was just about to fall as occasionally happened to him when he was especially surprised. As she brought the red fairy down to hold him just in front of herself, the disguised princess nodded slightly to the Spirit of Wisdom's question, quietly noting, "I think she is… she said she was thirteen, so that had to be after her time in your world."

Sheik blinked at Neri's flinch, turning to meet her uncertain look with a reassuring one, right before smiling softly and winking to the blue fairy, saying, "Yeah… it is."

Glancing back to Link and Tetra, Sheik closed her right eye again, however this time it was out of a sympathetic wince instead of a wink… it was a smart maneuver considering the way that the Hero of Winds had shown no signs of stopping spinning just yet, but she still felt bad for her friend. The disguised princess was just about to step forward to check on both of them as Tetra moved to try and stand, right before Link suddenly caught her in another close hug. Now this hug caused Sheik to grin further… it was just so great to see the two best friends reunited, and right now she was even more elated that she had been the one to first find Tetra and lead her here.

Somehow, Sheik had a feeling that even had she not stumbled upon Tetra, that the pirate captain would have found her way to the Stock Pot Inn regardless… but even so, the fact that Link had first met Link here, and now that Tetra had first met her, that made this even more special to her.

Tetra immediately lifted her head once her bite was producing some results... except the result she wanted wasn't exactly delivered.

What did she want? She wanted him  to stop acting like he haven't seen her in years instead of what? HOURS? Come on, it could only be a day at most. To set her down so that she can either sock him in the face or kick him on the knee for smooshing her face not once but twice earlier.

What she got was a spin that decreased in speed but increasded in unsteadiness. The captain squirmed, trying to get free before they fell but Link was kind of embracing her like she just came back from the dead - again, it was only a BIG OCTO! - and just as hard to get out of as a redead's grip. With a gasp, she couldn't get out in time and they fell, her knees hitting the wooden flooring as her upper half got the Link cushion.

"Urgh," groaned Tetra then realised, SHE WAS FREE! YES! Immediately, the girl tried to push herself off and up. "Okay, glad that's ov-ER! MMPH!"

Really? REALLY? First spinny hug and now suffocating chest hug. She growled and grumbled into the boy's chest, getting more impatient and ticked off by the second. At least her hands were free this time and she fumbled up, found his face and curled her fingers in so that it became a fist. You see this fist, Link? Get this message? Do you remember who you're hugging right now?

"HWA!" gasped Tetra as she was released and she could breathe again. She bolted up to a sitting position  and glared down at the boy. "LINK! What the goddesses is wrong with you? It's like you haven't fought Big Octos befor-- WHY DO YOU NOT HAVE OA--"

The shout froze in her mouth as whilst she was getting up and dusting off her knees, the colour green entered the corner of her vision. Correction - a lot of green.... WHY was there a boy who looked almost exactly like Link? Did she hit her head when Link dragged her down there? No, her upper half had been cushioned. Then she noticed the fairies. Wasn't that Ciela? And Neri and Leaf, right? But they were in the World of the Ocean King. How did...

She looked down at Link then at the fairies, at the Link lookalike and finally at Sheik.

    Something wasn't right here...

    Tetra backed away a step.

Tatl just stared at the sight that was unfolding before her, unable to believe that one, Tetra was finally here, and two, the way that the older Link was meeting her with a spinning hug. For the love of the four giants, not even her Link had done that once Zelda had arrived here! … Then again, the two of them had not been apart for quite as long, but he had still come from a time where he hadn't seen her in a while. It was sweet, but she really hoped that she could be clued in on just what was going on here. Had Sheik found her outside earlier? How much did she know already? And how long was this spinning hug going to last before she pried her way out of it?

Link continued to watch Tetra and Link as Neri voiced her question, his disbelieving smile growing slightly at Sheik's confirmation as to just when the pirate captain was most likely from. If that was the case, not only was she from a time where she and Link were very close to each other, then she was lined up almost perfectly with him age-wise, the exact same way that he and Zelda had been! That was almost as amazing as the simple fact that she was here!

As Tetra's bite to Link's shoulder caused both of them to topple to the ground, Link couldn't help but laugh slightly as the older boy caught the pirate captain in another hug. This one was also short-lived though, as once the older girl got her bearings, she showed a fist to the Hero of Winds that proved to be enough of a signal for him to release her. Link watched as she started to sit up and pull herself t her feet, although his eyebrows did raise when she mentioned a Big Octo. Was she busy fighting one when she had been whisked away here?

Before the pirate captain could finish her aggravated question at the older Link though, she stopped suddenly, her dark blue gaze instantly landing on him. As surprised as he was at seeing the future disguised princess, the Hero of Time had a strong feeling that her own expression was even more stunned than his at the moment… and considering the incredibly similar appearance he shared with the Link she knew, he could certainly understand why. Oh Farore, maybe he should have ducked back into the office when he'd had the chance…

When Zelda had first arrived on the Breach, she had been very surprised to meet the older Link… regardless of her own keen perception, he was still convinced that the main reason she recovered so quickly from seeing him the first time was because she had been used to the idea that he had been asleep in the Chamber of Sages for just over a year. Hopefully, Tetra's own sharp senses would help her bounce back almost if not just as quickly…

As the captain looked between the older Link, the fairies, himself, and Sheik, Link made sure to stay absolutely still, and he sincerely hoped that he had not just derailed this reunion. Tetra would have run into him soon enough, though… so just maybe, this was the best way for him to see him. Right from the start after getting to see the Hero of Winds again.

"Ah… are you all right?" Link asked, his expression shifting to a concerned, uncertain one as Tetra took a step backwards. He knew that talking was a risk for him right now, but hopefully, it would help the pirate captain see that he really was a completely different boy instead of a simple doppleganger of their friend.

Neri would had squealed in delight at learning that Tetra would indeed remember them and also to learn that this feeling of meeting a fellow representative of Nayru was indeed the same feeling Zelda had. But squealing might catch the pirate captain’s attention so instead, Neri giggled and curled her wings inwards. Beside her,

Ciela let out a breath in relief, deflating in the air a good two inches downwards. Tetra remembered them. Nobody was going to get hurt over being forgotten. Everything was good already but the future princess’ arrival, though sad to know another point in time had been destroyed, also brought along an extra incredible amount of joy for the existing Hyruleans on Portal Breach. Ciela turned to Tatl, one wing raised in amusement. “Great, another troublemaker.”

“Wait? Huh? She really is here?” Leaf suddenly shouted, squirming in Zelda’s hands confused as to how and when he actually got there. “Wait if she’s really here then….Oh come on! Now Neri have two t-- er…” Leaf trailed off as he was subjected to very intense scrutiny from both Neri and Ciela. “...Two er...I HAVE IMPA!”

Well, that’s probably the best save they could ever get out of the Spirit of Power.

Back on the floor, Link opened his eyes when he felt Tetra’s hand touch his face then blinked as the hand quickly transformed into a fist. “Bah!” sounded the boy as he immediately released Tetra’s head from his chest hug. The girl sat up sharply and Link propped himself up by his elbows, still unable to wipe the giant grin off his face despite knowing he was going to be in for a tongue lashing and beating now. She was here. She really was here. It was unbelievable. How did Sheik manage to find her? Didn’t she just go out to run an errand? How did an errand turned into the best present ever?...Er… not that Tetra was a present…

He shook his head, still grinning like a fool. Nothing was wrong with him. And what was this about a Big Octo she kept talking about? Why did he not have what?

Link stared at the pirate girl, waiting for her to finish the sentence and when she didn’t seem inclined to but instead chose to stare wide eyed at the other side of the reception desk, Link raised and eyebrow and got to his feet. What was wrong? It’s just Sheik and Link standing there…just Sheik and LINK standing there!

“Aa...” started Link, stepping closer to Tetra with his hands held out like he was calming a wary animal down. He briefly considered asking the younger Link to maybe step back into the office but that would probably make their newest arrival even more on edge simply because she couldn’t see where he went.

“We can explain!” Neri helped. “Please don’t run away.”

Sheik smiled even more Neri and Ciela's reactions to seeing Tetra, right before giving the Spirit of Courage a pointed look and slight smirk, silently asking her just what she meant by her remark. The disguised princess knew that she was simply kidding, but as with her own statement, the chance to give her that look was too good to pass up.

Still holding Leaf steady in her hands, Sheik was glad that the Spirit of Power caught himself before accidentally blurting anything too telling out… that momentary heart stop on her part was soon replaced by her chuckling softly at his quick save. Not only was it a very good save on his part, it was endearing to him considering the red fairy's high respect and admiration for Impa. Whilst he himself might not have had a fellow representative of one of the three forces of the goddesses here, the disguised princess felt confident that Impa's own inclination towards power was more than enough for Leaf to forge his own connection with her. She could already see it starting to set, and she was always happy to see more signs that led towards it.

Sheik watched as Tetra moved to give Link the best silent signal she could that he had best let her go, and she did feel quite a bit of sympathy for both of them… she felt bad that Tetra had been caught so thoroughly off guard the same as she felt bad that Link was likely to bear the brunt of her displeasure for his reactions later. Still, practically all of that was overshadowed by just how glad she was for the two of them to be reunited here, and that returned in full force once the captain quickly sat up.

As Tetra began to get back onto Link's case for the way he had met her, Sheik soon froze herself once the older girl got to her feet, her exclamations stopping suddenly and her blue gaze landing right on the younger Link. … Oh Farore…

In their own sense of excitement over seeing the older Link reunited with Tetra, the three kids that had already arrived on the Breach had not counted on the pirate captain spotting the Hero of Time so soon, much less reacting like this. Even before she had brought her to the inn, Sheik knew that they would have to be careful with introducing Tetra to Link, for even though she herself had first met the future Link without any trouble past the initial confusion, that was a different set of circumstance than the ones at present. It was best to introduce her to him in short order so that she could process everything all at once instead of bombarding her with new surprises in quick succession with barely any time to recover from each one, but still… right now, the disguised princess hoped that she had not made a mistake in not urging the younger Link to sneak back into the office mere moments ago.

As the older Link stepped forward and Tetra's focus shifted from him, to the fairies, to the younger Link, and back to her, Sheik felt the tips of her ears droop ever so slightly. This had suddenly become a very delicate situation, and whilst she fully trusted the older girl to be able to handle it well, she hoped for the wisdom to be able to help settle it even better. At Link's voiced question and Neri's quick jump to help, Sheik made sure to keep eye contact with Tetra, hoping to help prove to her that everything really was okay.

"It's all right," stated Sheik. Her words were simple, but true. She knew that saying too much would only make matters even more tense than they were at the moment, but she hoped that she had chosen her words wisely. With her red gaze unwavering and the slightest of nods to her older counterpart, she added, "You have my word."

If seeing another Link had surprised her, hearing one actually speak words drove all thought processes to a grinding halt. Her eyes widened and her mouth opened as if to say something back but she couldn't find the words nor her voice right now to express all the questions that's starting to crowd her mind.

What was happening here? Why are the fairies from the World of the Ocean King here? Were they transported the same way she was? How come Link got to the inn so much quicker than she did? Exactly how long was she unconscious? Did... Tetra's eyes narrowed into a glare which she directed at Sheik. Did he do something to her? Was this an illusion? Was that why she was seeing a Link lookalike? She knew it was a bit fishy to had met somebody from the Great Sea in this brand new world.

So many questions and so little patience right now. Part of her wanted to just run, find a safe place, sit and think until things made sense again and she could tell what was bad and what wasn't. The other part of her, the part that is winning is telling her to grit her teeth, hold her position and challenge them all head on even if it was dangerous, reckless and stupid. She didn't have her crew here to back her up if a fight started and oddly, as she started to take note of her own condition and judge if it was capable of holding off three people, she felt odd. It was like she was missing some of her skills. Did the boy seal those from her too? When? How?

In the end, she furiously shoved all the questions aside and watched the Link she knew carefully as he approached. She does know him right? This was the same boy, yes? Everything about him was exactly like she remembered: the poofy bangs, the big dark eyes, the ears, the clothes, his voice and even that stupid grin he wore when he saw her there. Granted Tetra don't think there was anything special about their meeting for it to warrant a grin that big. No, this was definitely her Link.

She turned her head, catching sight of Sheik again. She stared right back, not backing down from this staring match in the least until the boy said those words. Tetra blinked, something like gut feeling telling her that the boy had a face she could trust. If she trusted him this far, she could go on trusting especially when Link was here too.

She crossed her arms. "Go on, explain."

It appeared that the decision to speak had in fact been a good one in that it had got Tetra to keep her position. It might have brought her spirit train of thought to a screeching halt, but at the very least, she seemed more set to stay here and figure out just what was going on.

As the older Link started to try to help show Tetra that everything was okay, Link gave him an apologetic glance, inwardly really wishing that he had either ducked back into the office (much the way that Tatl had partially ducked behind his hat to weather this potential storm) or at the very least tried harder to give the pirate captain a bit more time with the Hero of Winds first. He had tried his best to stay to the side so as not to interrupt their special reunion, and whilst he was thrilled and honored that he had been able to catch it, he was now starting to fear that Tetra's unexpected freezing was in part his fault. Link knew that he couldn't help it of course and that none of them could have predicted that she might stop so soon, but the feeling lingered all the same.

Especially after Zelda's own meeting of the Hero of Winds, none of them could have guessed this might happen once Tetra saw the Hero of Time.

Even through her stunned expression around Neri's quick save, Link focused both on Tetra and Link hoping that his staying put was helping things more than making this suddenly strange situation tense. He did jolt ever so slightly as the pirate captain shot a glare right at Sheik… oh no, was she blaming her for this newfound confusion? Was she angry at her? Given the way that the disguised princess had appeared in the office, it seemed that she had in fact found Tetra and led her here… and now, since she was one of if not the first person that the captain had encountered on the Breach, it was almost as though Tetra was close to jumping at her for the meaning behind all of this.

Thankfully, that glare soon turned into the captain focusing on her Link… what was going on? Was she trying to see if she really did know him or if he had an answer for what was happening here? Either way, it seemed that looking to him helped further calm her down, and as Tetra and Sheik locked eyes for several moments, the disguised princess' honest statement proved to be the final key to getting her to listen to what they had to say.

Link was not about to let out a sigh of relief just yet, but he was very close to it. At Tetra's command, he glanced to Sheik for a moment before looking to his older nametwin. His brows creased in sympathy, Link soon rubbed at the back of his head before suggesting, "Ah, maybe you should start, Link…"
