Chell couldn't help but feel a twinge of amusement at Link's reaction to finding out Meta Knight's name, though given the situation, she willed her face to remain pretty stoic. The new tenant's confusion over the non-verbal interaction going on around him hadn't exactly passed her by, and she didn't want to make him feel any more suspicious than he might already be, especially considering how their first meeting had gotten off earlier. Hopefully, in time, he would settle in enough to find people he was comfortable around, just like she had only a year ago. There was so much to take in here, and so many different people--some varying wildly both in terms of personality and species--that it was hard even now to take in sometimes, but if she could find her place in this world, than she knew he could too. ...Probably, anyway. There was a good chance he wasn't even remotely the social type.

Perking up once he turned in his form, the former test subject's eyes roamed over her friends, inwardly noting that their chance encounter here was about to come to an end. She was glad to see that Meta Knight seemed to find the inn to his liking, and couldn't help but wonder if she'd be seeing him around any time soon--though if he was anything like her, for his first few weeks here, she wouldn't be too surprised if that was unlikely. He was still in denial about the loss of his planet, after all. Either the beginning of his time here would start with him accepting that, or concocting whatever escape attempt he had stewing in... well, whatever part of his body his brain was located. His species was really unlike anything she had seen before here, save for his roundness being reminiscent of a certain friend of hers. Maybe she hadn't been looking hard enough.

Nodding in agreement with Sheik's statement, she decided to add her own two cents, quickly whipping up another piece of writing before presenting it to their new guest. "And I'm here on the first floor, room 127. I don't work here like they do, but I'm usually around if you have any questions."

The innkeeper's reaction to his name did not escape Sir Meta Knight's notice. While he did not show it outwardly, he did feel a sense of pride within him; even though he was away from his home planet, it was good to know that the people here had a respect for knights. Or at least, Link did, and he appreciated respect from anyone right now. To go from a world where he was widely-known and respected to a world where he was barely known at all was a bit difficult, but at least some people looked up to him.

He looked up to read the innkeeper's sign and picked up the card key from the table. "Thank you," he said with a nod.

When Sheik announced where his room was and where Link's room was, Meta Knight turned to give him a nod as well. In doing so, he also caught Chell's note. "I see. It is good to know that help is not far away, then." And, truly, it was. While he could hardly consider himself friends with the three he had met today, he at least knew they were safe and were truly willing to help him, should he need it. Of course, he hoped he wouldn't have to be put into a situation where he should need help, but it was still good to know.

Meta Knight paused a moment, looking at the papers and card key in his gloved hand, then turning toward the stairwell. "I... believe that is all, then." He stepped to the side, looking at Link, then at Sheik and Chell. "I thank you all for your help," he said with a low nod that almost looked like a bow. "I am glad to have run into such kind people after being taken here. I do not know how long my stay will be, but no matter how long I am here, it is good to know that there are those willing to help. For now, though, I will take my leave. Farewell."

With that, he flipped his cape back, and immediately it whipped into a pair of wings. In a few moments he was already off, flying up the stairwell to the fourth floor and his new--temporary--home.

Despite his rather mature role of an Innkeeper and even the his past heroic deeds back in his own world, Link was still only thirteen years old and sometimes act younger. It was probably his upbringing on an island where all the children were younger than him and his own maturity matched theirs to some extent to enjoy even more play times. He still enjoyed being read stories next to a blazing fire, still enjoyed insane amounts of candy, still initiate and participate in random spur of the moment races with his friends just because he could and is also still easily awed by the simplest of things. He suppose he is a bit of a romantic as well because the thoughts of castles, princesses, princes, KNIGHTS and epic quests to slay giant fearsome monsters still fascinated him to no end.

He had never seen a knight before. There were none in his world nor the world his fairies came from. His only knowledge of them were from stories both of the fictional kind and also the real ones told by his friends here on Portal Breach. To think there would be a day he’d meet a real knight. Oh there would be much fanboying both from the innkeeper and from the loudest of his three fairies later on. Needless to say, Link would be beyond eager to help Sir Meta Knight if he needed any.

He nodded very seriously -the only way he could keep his giddiness at bay - as his new tenant took his leave before his eyes widened a fraction at the sight of the knight’s cape turning into wings.

When Sir Meta Knight was out of estimated hearing range, Link had only one reaction left. His mouth dropped open, he pointed at the direction the armoured winged puffball left with and he turned to Chell and Sheik with the eyes as wide as saucers glinting like they were just out of the dishwasher.

    “AA?!”

    Did that seriously just happened?

Sheik was glad that Chell decided to add in her own room information just in case if Meta Knight ever needed a hand and none of the Hyruleans were around. Given the nature of the former test subject, this was a big step for her, and the disguised princess hoped that that offer would in turn help her out just as much as it might the masked warrior.

Even though she did not express it as outwardly as Link had given the different nature of her first encounter with Meta Knight, Sheik did still hold quite the respect for knights. She technically held authority over them in Hyrule given her own place as the princess, but whether it was the captain of the guard or any of the soldiers that worked for him, she did definitely respect each and every one of them. Her respect might not have come off as wide-eyed like Link's once things had calmed down in the forest, especially since she herself was far more used to knights than her friend, but hopefully, the masked warrior had caught at least some of that respect back then.

Sheik returned Meta Knight's nod with one of her own, inwardly having a feeling that he might not need any help, but still feeling glad nonetheless that he appreciated the information. He appeared to be quite the one to do things himself, but neither did he seem to be above enlisting aid if it was necessary.

At Meta Knight's thanks and low nod, Sheik gave a fusion between a low nod and slight bow herself, simply stating, "Of course." At his next statement regarding his gratitude for good fortune, Sheik could not help but smile softly, even behind the cloth that covered the lower part of her face. Hopefully, with time he would come to accept that he was here for good, and hopefully… the realization would not be as painful as it had the potential to be. As long as he was here though, no matter how long he stayed at the inn, the disguised princess knew of at least five people that would be more than happy to help him out… and only one of them was not a Hyrulean.

"Farewell, Sir Meta Knight," said Sheik, nodding to him again before he turn his cape into his wings again. After he had flown up the stair, the disguised princess' ears perked up ever so slightly just before she turned out to Link… and at catching his gaping expression of disbelief, she moved to pull her collar down around her neck, her new grin especially visible now. Only a moment after she caught Link's point and surprised exclamation did she nod strongly, noting, "Yes Link… that really did just happen. It might take him some time to adjust, but I'm glad that he's decided to be a resident here."

Truth be told, just a year ago, Chell definitely would not have given out her room number. Partially because she had been new herself at the time, of course, but also because anyone other than the innkeeper and Impa knowing where exactly she lived at the time raised more than a few alarm bells in her head--for obvious reasons. It had been paranoid, yes, but up until now, Chell had had a very good reason for being edgy around those she didn't know, and thus stayed unapologetically distant.

Now, though? Things didn't seem so bad. She was stronger now, had more faith that she could handle herself against whatever this world decided to place in her path, and she had friends who she slowly began to realize would be happy to help her with whatever she decided she needed their aid in. It was still a surreal feeling to this day, but a good one, she'd concluded--if any new tenants needed her help, she'd be alright with obliging them, provided none of the other staff were around. Meta Knight still came across as the type who'd prefer figuring things out for himself, but the woman figured it wouldn't hurt to offer in any case. The choice to utilize it was his and his alone.

Luckily, the new tenant seemed to appreciate the intent behind their words, and thanked them, causing Chell to return his almost-bow with a faint quirk of her lips. Despite a shaky start, this day really could have not worked out better, for all parties involved. This had been the first time she'd assisted with helping a new arrival catch their bearings, and while Sheik had done most of the talking, she hoped that simply being there had been enough to do her part, much in the same way Impa had when she had first arrived. Giving the knight one last nod, she watched as he swooped up the nearby stairwell, inwardly wondering where his new life here would wind up taking him.

Turning back to her friends, the former test subject just barely bit back a grin at Link's characteristically stunned reaction to Meta Knight's rather deceiving flight abilities, offering him a wry shrug in response. She wasn't quite as awed as the boy was, but she could certainly see where he was coming from--at his full strength, she could imagine the knight was an impressive sight indeed, especially on the battlefield. Maybe they'd both get the chance to see him in action one day. For now though, she simply nodded at Sheik's response, leaning over to write down her own two cents before...

... Before a rather audible growl sounded from her stomach, causing her to pause with widened eyes. That had been... unexpected. Was she really that hungry? Glancing at a nearby clock, the woman noted she did usually eat around this time, as did her friends. Rubbing her stomach with a rather sheepish huff, Chell turned back to the pair in front of her, giving them a smile before raising her eyebrows in silent question.

    Dinner, anyone?
