    Settling Down

Aradia was going to settle down in the trolls’ hive after she talked with Eridan. She was very surprised at first that her world was destroyed, but not because it was, but rather how. Her ancestors warned very early on of an apocalypse happening around the same time she arrived at Portal Breach, but she did not receive much information beyond that much. And she accepted her fate, thus losing all the caution she had before. The loss of caution due to her resignation made her reckless and less practical, however, and Aradia didn’t like that. The rash actions she took were pretty unprecedented. The ram troll had done everything on a whim, pretty much. She had took revenge on Vriska on impulse, resulting in her near demise in which Vriska had mind controlled Sollux into destroying her old hive and nearly killing her.

Even Terezi was more careful than her. Aradia didn’t really figure out the Libra troll’s whereabouts yet, but she had a feeling that the she was gone. She decided to take the sixth floor’s right wing because it was vacant with nothing left behind. Only a shell, a blank room could it be if it were not for Aradia’s decision to make it her new respite block. The problem was that she had barely anything but the clothes on her back and the stuff in captchalog. There was not much she could do with it, but Aradia made an effort to try and do whatever she could with the room, sprucing it up with stuff that everyone could use in other rooms and organizing the stuff she already had. She even had already chosen the robots made by Karkat that she could use for her archaeological exposition later on. She found a spare Recuperacocoon filled with plenty of sopor. Aradia could rest safely in the morning then.

Although everything was pretty much organized, it would help if someone lent a hand or two.

Later on, the troll had found that she had arranged her stuff and new found essentials properly. Unfortunately, she didn't have the archaeological tools she was required to buy later on. Aradia wondered where on this Gamma was a place that sold such equipment. Archaeology was a hobby seldom found on Alternia; she wasn't too keen that it would be any more popular around here. What was a popular hobby around here? Aradia honestly didn't have a single clue. A certain Eridan Ampora didn't help with that either. He was busy being a couch potato and moping (probably for a good reason) when he had found her. Maybe she could get to know the place.

But honestly, Aradia didn't really have any clue where everything was. She had almost finished her redecorating the place though. She just needed some gray paint to cover the walls and ceilings with and maybe a little bit of red: crimson but also the vibrant elegant red that was popular in Chinese culture (as if she knew what that was). Now, maybe she could explore and get an idea where those paints might be, or if they even had some here. If they didn't, her only option was to buy some in this "Portal City" Eridan spoke of.

Aradia was finally done by now. She had gotten enough paints and everything to paint the entirety of her room. She got her paint brush and started smoothing a silvery but dark paint all over her walls. It looked fantastic, or so she said. Everything was organized and tidied up properly. Surely, everyone else who saw this would be impressed. That's what Aradia thought anyway. She worked hard to get appropriately fuzzy, crimson carpeting on the floor and all her fossils and archaeology tools where were she could see them. Her fabulous fedora was resting on the wooden table which held her Crosby Top required for Trollian.

    It was wonderful.

Then, Aradia got a ladder and climbed up it to paint her ceiling black. She drew the curtains so the deep starry night sky was visible for the naked eye to see. She even put a telescope there. Then, she got a special prayer rug which was used for praying, but if she sat there in the Lotus position, she could easily channel the spirits and communicate with them as a medium. Honestly, she'd make the perfect itako, wouldn't she? Aradia thought so. She was a little cocky though, but at least she was totally and definitely sastified with how her room looked.
