    Echo! Echo! Echo! Echo...

Post by Eridan Ampora on Sun Jun 23, 2013 4:55 pm

The Hive was silent. There was not much to be heard, with the exception of a horned troll dressed in a cape and a lot of jewelry stood next to his window, staring out into the ocean. There had been no shouting, as of recent. No speech that had significant lisp. No loud speeches with numbers in them. The Hive had been more or less left for dead and forgotten after the incident with BLACKCAT and Thomas Steele... it was truly a sad state of affairs. For Eridan it was, anyway. His matesprit had died... the only person he considered close enough to be his best friend had apparently left... and then Sollux had left. That left him, Nepeta, and Equius. Even then, he didn't know whether they were in the Hive right now... he couldn't hear them, anyway. He hadn't heard anyone for a while. He'd heard the other two earlier today, though.

It is, however, only so long of being left alone before you begin to stop looking at others and what they're doing... and begin looking at yourself. Emotional theatrics? They still happened, but the more it supposedly drove people away, the less it became theatrics. The more people left while Eridan acted like his regular self, the more and more he gradually began to believe that it wasn't them pursuing interests or them looking for others; it was them leaving to get away from him, but they just didn't want to confront him about it because of the way he was, and thus decided to leave so that they didn't have to put up with him.

This wasn't the case. He didn't realise that, though. So while he stood there, staring out at the beautiful Sea of Simulation, he pondered to himself what he was doing wrong. This time, almost everyone had seen him in a brighter light, despite the fact that he'd acted no different. He supposed it was the game putting stress on people, causing them to not be able to put up with him. But... still, he'd ended up alone. What was he doing wrong, exactly, that had caused everyone to effectively leave him and for the universe to dislike him? He just couldn't work it out...

And he probably wouldn't work it out.

Aradia blinked her eyes furiously, trying to wake up in a dune of sand. aww What a shame! She had slept for two hours. Man, that's bad. That's wasting plenty of time that could be used to find other people. Then again, what people? Who was there? Aradia saw nobody: absolutely nobody. The troll girl was quick to infer that if she didn't find anyone soon, she would die starving or burnt by the sun or something. She wouldn't want that at all. That wasn't how her fate was supposed to go. However, she didn't know that yet. The ancestors wouldn't tell her-no, actually, they can't. They were as confused as she was. Anyway, it was about time she woke up. She really didn't want to but what had to be done had to be done.

    ...

The sky was the same as always: dark and starry. Aradia didn't know whether she liked it or not. It was her last memory of Alternia. She didn't know wherever she was, but she assumed it was Alternia-after all, it was the only planet she ever really knew. Maybe she could get someone to explain where the hell she was. That would be tons helpful. Even better, she could get someone she recognized to help. That would be really great, but she had no one in mind yet. She didn't see anyone either, so she just kept on walking and walking and walking, tripping from time to time on shells, rocks, algae, and other crap.  She wondered how she got here anyway. Why did that blue portal take her there?

Maybe Terezi did it. It was kind of her color. Nah, not really. That's a really dumb theory. Aradia had no idea what went on back there, and she didn't want to know yet because she would have to save her questions until later. Now, she had to focus on her task. Even with her mind scattered every where and there, Aradia was glad to find that she was moving onward to find civilization without even thinking about it. Though, she was pretty sure anyone else could do that. Aradia decided to push all her thoughts and confusion aside as she searched relentlessly for anything and anyone. Luckfully, she alread found something, finally.

She didn't really like how she ended up in the deserted end of wherever she was though.

So, she moved closer to the distant figure. It kind of looked like a...a hive! Aradia rushed toward to the hive and found that up close it looked castle-like almost, made out of gray, solid stone. Aradia raised an eyebrow as she looked at the red flag up on top with the Cancer symbol on top of it. Why red? It was a brighter, more unnatural color than her shade.  Aradia wondered what the color stood for. She thought several things but they were all baseless conclusions because she didn't really talk to him. However, there was one thing she never knew about, even when she talked to him through Trollian. He always used a gray text and refused to use his blood color. Maybe that made a little more sense. Was it is blood color, perhaps? "s0 thats karkats bl00d c0l0r?" she repeated out loud, not quite sure anyway. Aradia dismissed it simply though because that was a dumb theory, and it wasn't her place to know.

The important thing was: he might have lived here. Aradia would have to find that out though.

She saw that a troll was peering through a window close to the ground. She ran towards it, wondering who he might be. Oh! Seeing him up close, she found that it was Eridan Ampora, a haughty high blood who she happened to be friends, or rather aquaintances, with since she didn't really talk to him much. He looked sad and lonely and mopey. Aradia didn't know if she wanted to talk to him because she was afraid she might bother him. Oh, well, her safety and well being took priority because she was starving. She could cheer him up later after she ate some food and had her questions answered!

Waving her arms quite expressively, she jumped up and down in front of the window and yelled loudly, "hey eridan l00k 0ver here! what are y0u d0ing? where am i?"

    Re: Echo! Echo! Echo! Echo...

Post by Eridan Ampora on Sun Jun 23, 2013 7:46 pm

It was such a sad night for Eridan... he was just staring into the sea. Staring into nothingness. it was dark, the sea... he could see it fine due to his nocturnal vision, but it was dark, nonetheless. It was most likely full of fish. Feferi would have liked to see some of the undoubtedly otherworldly fish that were on show there... unfortunately, she'd never been here. She'd never arrived here, and she might even not arrive here altogether. Time would tell, but for now he'd have to wait. For now, he was alone. As alone as alone could be...

He took off his glasses for a second. It looked so blurry and weird without them... he could barely see anything. Damn, glasses were handy. Alternian glasses worked about as well as human glasses, actually! If he broke these ones, he could probably just nip down to the hospital and get them replaced, good as new. And by that, of course, I mean he'd stumble down to the hospital because he wouldn't be able to see a damn thing without the glasses he broke. He should really get a backup pair sometime...

Putting them back on, he started looking out of the window and moping again. He looked really miserable. In his right ear he thought he heard a voice, but he ignored the thought and dismissed it as his mind playing tricks on him. No-one was here, after all. No-one was here to come and see him. He was just continuing in a huge downward spiral, thinking less and less of himself the more he thought. At this point, it was probably just temporary sadness. He didn't hate himself all THAT much, after all.

    Aradia Megido wrote:"hey eridan l00k 0ver here! what are y0u d0ing? where am i?"

Eridan jumped out of his skin, leaping backward. Was that... Aradia?! "you scared the livvin SHIT outta me" He looked down from his window. "you picked a great fuckin time to get here ara" He turned around and ran through his room, hitting the wall as he ran down the hallway. He wasn't psyched because he was Aradia, but rather just because it was someone else. He didn't have to spend THIS evening alone, after all. Even if he had to spend it explaining this world.

Going downstairs as quickly as he could, he nearly forgot to disable the huge laser cannons. Nearly died! Didn't, though. He deactivated them quickly, and opened the Hive door for Aradia. He stood there at that point, panting, wondering why the hell he ran like he did. It was completely unnecessary, after all. He could've walked! What a waste of energy. He needed to get more exercise, though... he'd been cooped up in this hive for far too long. "ara come in here are you neww or wwhat"

He was just happy there was finally someone else to talk to that wasn't Equius or Nepeta.

For a girl who nearly got killed by her moirail/matespirit(?), tonight wasn't that bad of a night. She had worse moments, for sure. Aradia remembered the time when Tavros became crippled thanks to Vriska. Now, that was a horrible night. Her dearest friend being hurt by a different jackass friend. That wouldn't do. That's why she ended up getting revenge on Vriska fro him by summoning the spirits of all the dead the spider girl had wronged. It's also why Vriska decided to mind control Sollux into eating mind honey and nearly killing her. Well, there are two sides to everything. Speaking of Sollux, where was he? Where was Vriska? Where was Tavros?

No matter. This was Alternia, right? No, no, no... Aradia tried to deny the truth, but she couldn't. No place on Alternia was like this. Not even close to similar, this beach was very different than the beaches on Alternia. This one was, how do you describe it, less polluted, maybe? Also, she didn't see any freaks of nature they had on Alternia. A shame, really. Anyway, Aradia never really saw those luscus, probably because she spent all her time digging into the ground, searching for bones and fossils and plenty of artifacts. You could say she was taking after the troll Indiana Jones or something.

Aradia smiled widely as she discovered that Eridan had heard her at long last. She was hoping he'd have. She didn't want him to look like a kicked puppy all the time. He looked so down and everything. Also, he kind of looked like he put on weight. Probably not, but he gave off the aura of someone who was a couch potato and slacked off all the time. In other words, he was not her kind of guy at the moment. She had to get him back to being active and the asshole he was born to be. Aradia had no problem doing that. It would be fun, right? Plus, it's kind of her duty because it didn't look like anyone else was around and the two of them would waste away, maybe, if they didn't take care of themselves.

Eridan Ampora wrote:"you scared the livvin SHIT outta me"

Aradia began to laugh, her voice ringing like a bell as she tried to control herself. The troll was holding onto her body as if she would explode from how much she was laughing. Gog... The expression on his face was a great contrast from his previous one. She'd hate to see him so down, even if he was a prick sometimes. She never came to like seeing people sad anyway. "im s0rry ahahahaha..." Aradia breathed sharply after the laughter subsided. She took a moment to try and collect herself, though she was having fun just staring at his shocked expression. Aradia managed to get herself together and stated, "n0 really im s0rry i really am" She then listened intently to the rest of what he had to say.

Eridan Ampora wrote:"you picked a great fuckin time to get here ara"

Her expression, despite her bright smile, gave off the question is that supp0sed to be sarcasm? as she put her hands on her hips and watched him run down the hallway, moving to face each window he ran past. Aradia held a puzzled expression as she watched him run off. However, she gave him a curt real reply, "yeah i kn0w right?" Aradia was really puzzled as to why Eridan was living in this hive of all places. She never really thought he'd be the type who'd like to live with Karkat. Maybe he was into him or something.

Eridan Ampora wrote:"ara come in here are you neww or wwhat"

"alright alright im c0ming" Aradia quickly ran to meet him at the door and entered the hive, looking inside at its unfamiliar interior. Her eyes flickered to look all over her surroundings. So immersed in the new surrounding, she nearly forgot Eridan was there. Now that her attention was brought back to Eridan, she took a deep breath and began to release a long, long spiel of questions. "eridan why are y0u here? d0es any0ne else we kn0w live here? is any0ne else we kn0w nearby? where are we? are we 0n alternia anym0re? why is karkats symb0l 0n that red flag up there? what d0 y0u mean by 'new'? is this y0ur hive? why am i here? als0 im hungry can i have s0me f00d 0r s0mething after y0ure d0ne explaining? im s0rry im just starving"

Aradia was just happy there was finally someone to talk to: someone who could help her understand what the hell was going on.

Post by Eridan Ampora on Wed Jun 26, 2013 9:05 pm

The asshole he was born to be? SOUNDED GOOD. Let's all be absolute knobs to everyone. Muuuuhahahahahaha! In all fairness, though, Eridan wasn't that big of an ass. He was just stressed during the game, he felt resentful due to being left alone, and he was going through pain at his quadrants being wrecked. That was not something good to go through... not for someone with a personality type like Eridan, anyway. He wanted to have people to be close to. He wanted to have a matesprit, a kismesis, a moirail! He wanted his quadrants filled, but every time he filled one of them, something happened to empty it, like the way Terezi got brained in front of him by Saix. Yeah... he still remembered that little gem.

Eridan heard Aradia's laughter, and his face deadpanned. He was sort of used to this type of thing by now, so it didn't phase him much. I mean, it happened in Sanctuary almost every time he went in there. That wasn't even mentioning the last time he went in there; oh, how much he abhorred the puns that were thrown his way that time. All ten million of them. I'm looking at you, Cybertronians! So is Eridan! You and your Fanta-stic ocean puns... he didn't know why he hated the sound of them himself.

At least she apologised for it, though. Eridan nodded once as she did so, acknowledging that she'd apologised and he did appreciate it, even if he didn't care too much judging by how often it had happened since he'd arrived. Oh, that Sanctuary~! Not so much a Sanctuary, he supposed. But it was eventful and fun in there, that was for certain.

Completely not interpreting her bodily gestures at all, Eridan continued talking. "you dont evven knoww the half a it ara but ill havve to tell you evverythin after ivve told you about this place an evven then thats gonna be enough on its owwn" He continued his way inside after she had come in, closing the door and waiting until she was past the lasers before reactivating them. "yeah dont wwalk in there unless you wwanna die-" He looked at her after saying this, a realisation hitting him. "wwait a fuckin sec ARA" His 'ARA' part was more of a question than a statement. "whyre you alivve i thought you wwere dead" The shock in his tone was astounding, now that he'd actually realised the thing that had been off about it all. He'd sensed it all along, but it took this for him to realise. Well, let's say that three years was a long time to spend on another Gamma away from everyone... Memories began to move. Old memories of friends an age before were pushed back as memories of the place you were in as well as those people in said place were brought to the front. It caused a lot of forgetting.

Assuming that she'd answer that after he answered her questions, Eridan looked at her with an expression that said 'Hold up!'. "wwoah wwoah hold on i cant process questions that fast im not a fuckin supertroll" He tried to remember as much as he could, however. Method of association was helpful!

"wwell thisll probably be a shock to you" He wasn't even feeding her first, nor was he remembering that she had predicted an apocalypse. He was on a roll today. "this is portal breach its a place wwhere lots a different species and shit get brought because some god called alpha is gonna destroy the univverse that they came from" He looked at her, not knowing how to feel as he explained. "so evveryone is either dead or on another gamma im sorry ara" He looked kind of sullen as he mentioned this.

"theres portal city its a place fuckin choc full a loads a different species and people" He answered, his face lightening up more as he spoke of them. Some of those guys were actually alright. "as for the sign" His facial expression went downhill again. This was one of the reasons he'd been sulking. "the hivve has kars sign because it was kars hivve" He sighed. "its been fuckin hectic you wwouldnt believve it but ill tell you more after you get somethin to eat" Eridan wasn't that good with explaining news like this, but he did his best.

"this wway" He led her through the corridors of the hive, heading towards the kitchen where they had the Ghostring Toaster as well as a fridge that gave you anything, like Sanctuary's fridge. A gift from Portal-X to Karkat... looked like it was theirs now. Eridan led Aradia into the kitchen and blinked as he extended his hand into the kitchen to symbolise her to go nuts and eat all she wanted. "go nuts" He began. "eat all you wwant"

He'll explain more when you're ready.

    Re: Echo! Echo! Echo! Echo...

Post by Aradia Megido on Wed Jun 26, 2013 10:27 pm

Aradia didn't really know what happened to Eridan since she was from before Hivebent, but she never really had an opinion of Eridan. He was "a friend of a friend is my friend" kind of friend: not that she minded or anything. She assumed he'd be a pompous violetblood ever since her first impression of him, which was like one or two sweeps ago, or at least, that was what she thought. The memories were fuzzy though. The ram troll seldom ever spoke to the troll in front of her, occasionally on Trollian, but not really. She mostly talked to Sollux or Tavros or Terezi or Vriska. But she had a feeling they weren't even there. If they were there, they'd be rushing to meet her, as selfish as that sounds. However, there was a good reason to think that; they were the only people she was close to. Her neighbor/moirail or matespirit/archaeology buddy and the Bull of Team Charge and all of Team Surge made up her little group of friends.

She was very close to them indeed. Nevermind that, anyway. Aradia was busy being puzzled as to why Eridan deadpanned. She more or less expected an angry response: not like Karkat angry but more like Highblood-who's-being-dishonored angry. She never really made of him with sea puns; she had no reason to. In fact, the girl had assumed that he liked those kind of puns because Feferi herself was fond of him. As far as Aradia knew, he was still on pretty good terms with the fuchsiablood.

But Aradia had no clue about the relations of the trolls currently residing on Portal Breach. She was in for a shock, maybe a little bit of heartache, but definitely in for some bittersweet happiness that turned as sour as three-days old curdled milk. Aradia didn't know about any of that so it's best that it would be kept out of the way until it was brought up.

Aradia figured he'd ignore her sarcastic glance at him and shrugged slightly as she listened to him. "0h b0y this is g0ing t0 be a l0ad anyway y0ure g0ing t0 have t0 explain if im c0nfused by anything 0k? please?" She watched his back as she followed him into the hive, her eyes focusing on everything that surrounded her. "yeah 0k d0nt walk in there unless if the laser thingies are deactivated g0t that" She raised an eyebrow at his befuddled look, wondering what caused that. Don't raise your voice that loudly! "what?" What was he so surprised about? "um yeah im alive why d0 y0u ask why? did y0u kn0w that s0llux alm0st killed me? until that huge blue p0rtal t00k me away anyway it saved me i guess" Did he know about that? The sheer impact of the surprise made her mouth drop wide open until she shut it a second after. Aradia's face achieved a calculating look as it dawned on her that he might be from the future. Maybe it's because of temporal shenangians she was going to have to fix later. In reality, it was because people could come from different worlds at totally different times. They didn't even have to reside in another Gamma to appear in another after a really long time. Well, Aradia had a feeling wherever she was, she'd have to stay. The other trolls were here. She had to stay there if they were there.

Aradia looked at Eridan's overwhelmed expression and nodded a response indicating that she would refrain from questions until he was done explaining whatever he needed to say. "alright alright im s0rry for asking y0u s0 many questi0ns all at 0nce" Thank you for your patience, Eridan, but chances are were that you had to prepare for many more questions indeed.

"i th0ught s0mething strange was g0ing 0n" Yes, she did. You didn't have to be able to predict to future in order to find out that they weren't on Alternia anymore nor that Alternia wasn't there anymore. The landscape was vastly different. Aradia figured it out an hour after she arrived. "thats interesting perhaps ill meet s0me 0f these 0ther species and d0es that mean that every0ne else is g0ne?" Aradia mused as she looked at him, her face full of a mixture of emotions: nostalgia, interest, relief that she understood what went on, and sadness that the apocalypse actually happened. She never thought it would happen this way.

"p0rtal city huh? have y0u been there bef0re?" Aradia was relieved that his look was at least gradually becoming less sullen: less sullen than hers anyway as a ton of realizations hit her smack in the face with the impact of the heaviest brick ever to exist. "if its karkats hive why are y0u here? d0 y0u live here n0w?" An affirmative to that question was what she least expected, but deep down she knew not to expect the unexpected. Even so she would still be surprised. "thank y0u eridan f0r explaining this t0 me" Aradia thought that Eridan did a pretty good of explaining everything. Regardless, nothing would stop the sea of emotions churning inside of her.

Aradia followed suit, scanning her surroundings as thoroughly as possible, knowing she'd have to get used to them sooner or later. Then she looked through the kitchen, looking at the unusually crafted toaster as well as the fridge which seemed pretty normal. She'd find out just how special it was soon enough. She began getting a plate or two and a glass of some Alternian fruit juice and drained it instantly. Then she cooked some simple dishes that were basically microwave food for trolls. She could eat the human food, of course, but she didn't dare, at least not when she was familiar with them. Once she was done, Aradia cleaned up her empty glasses and dirty dishes putting them in the dishwasher after rinsing them. She stood up.

The ram troll nodded and gestured for Eridan to continue. "alright bring it 0n im ready f0r anything y0u have t0 tell me" No, she was not, but she could pretend, couldn't she?

Indeed... the ones you knew as friends and talked to most weren't here. The entire hive family was now composed of trolls that hadn't even had much chance to talk to each other. If any of the other trolls were here... Eridan would feel better about he company he was with. It was more bustling and fun with all the trolls, even if some of them didn't get on with others. Like him and Equius, and him and Sollux. Oh, as well as him being kinda weirded out by Gamzee. But wasn't that the norm for trolls that hung around with Gamzee?

Oh, as for him and a highblood response... that was long behind him. Eridan would probably end up revealing to you later why it was, as you were bound to learn sooner or later that the hemospectrum didn't mean anything in this world. He still considered himself royalty and a prince, but he didn't fall back on it because technically, the moment they abandoned the hemospectrum they abandoned rank, and thus he was just a normal citizen like the rest of them.

Wait, she was talking about Sollux killing her? Ohhh... that's from when she was from? Wow... she'd missed a lot. And Eridan meant A LOT. "no wwhen i mean dead i mean you wwere revvivved in a robot body an then the last time I saww you before today was me wwatchin you randomly explode into a million fuckin pieces" Not long at all before his computer exploded, too. Damned Rose human with her fake magic and her lie that was a 'magic wand'. He liked that computer, too! It was rightfully his! "but youre from before the game holy shit thats early on" He stated in slight bewilderment. "you missed out on a lot but thats equally a good thin and a bad thin"

Something strange indeed... you got used to it, though. "theres no perhaps you WWILL meet other species an some a them are fuckin wweird" Others were pretty normal and actually alright. Well, the people that he'd met from said species were alright, anyway. "theres a lot of humans an human look alikes here so dont judge someone before you meet them they might be some age old monster hiding as a human or some shit like that its happened" Eridan with the tips."an yeah ivve been to portal city its like the capital a the entire planet"

Karkat, huh... "yeah it was kars hive" Eridan begun, sighing. "hes gone" The royalblood looked at Aradia dead-on. "he left wwith sol an gam not long ago an this is the only fuckin hivve here so wwere here for good youd better pick a room if you wwant a hivve to livve in tonight" He was upset about it, but he didn't let it affect him THAT much. Not enough to interrupt him in conversations. He thought.

When Aradia finished her food, Eridan found himself developing a slight appetite himself. He shook it off, though, as he wasn't all THAT hungry. "wwell therevve been a lot a trolls here" Eridan began. "i think the list is me you sol gam eq nep kar ter an some other troll called mituna wwhos apparently related to sol" He continued telling his tale with a slightly more upset manner, but he didn't let it get the better of him. "wwhile ivve been here most a them havve died or left" He went on to recount them. "the first to go wwas mituna wwho left in search a his matesprit" Eridan didn't care much for Mituna. "the second wwas ter who got caught up in some evvent wwhere some hooded fuckers tried to kill us all an she wwas murdered in front a me" He looked much more sullen at this. "she wwas my matesprit" It had happened, yup yup. He resumed with his points. "more recently gam kar an sol just upped an left they didnt evven say bye they just wwent wwhich leavves us wwhere wwe are noww wwith you me nep an eq"

He calmed down, looking at her calmly. "any questions"

    Re: Echo! Echo! Echo! Echo...

What a shame! Well, at least now, the trolls still had some of their friends, even if they hardly knew these ones. For Eridan and Nepeta and Equius, it must have been extremely painful to go and lose their other Alternian friends. For all Aradia knew, they could have filled quadrants with each other in some way or form. But she didn't know that for real; it was only a guess, and if it was real, she didn't know who would be would who. Aaah! These quadrant things are so confusing! Aradia was better off saving them for Nepeta, the master of shippings.

Aradia looked at Eridan with piercing eyes that read y0uve changed a l0t since ive last seen y0u amp0ra He really had. When did she last see him? Aradia didn't know. She only had met him once during a Trollian session. It was different knowing him. There were some trolls in their group she knew for sweeps, even dating back to their grubhood. Of course, Eridan was not one of them, but she had a feeling she would know this tragic troll for a long, long time.

Aradia had missed out on a whole lot of life-changing events for all of the twelve trolls. However, living here on Portal Breach might count as something equally as changing. i l0st y0u at the first sentence 0h man this is what i miss when i c0me fr0m an earlier time peri0d than y0u guys? well whatever im sure this is a st0ry f0r later y0u better tell me everything then" She gave him a stern look, not angry, but rather very desperate to obtain information which she thought was very important, at least for her. "and yes i knew the game was supp0sed t0 happen but i missed it because i came here i believe i was supp0sed t0 help s0llux c0nstruct the techn0l0gy needed als0 the game w0uld result in the end 0f the w0rld 0r s0mething" Her memory was foggy. The ancestors were still there, but they kept quiet, knowing they had no purpose around here.

Aradia raised an eyebrow as Eridan continued speaking. "i supp0se that will be really interesting i h0pe they d0nt bite that w0uld be a shame" Of course that was sarcasm. She believed they wouldn't as long as she got along with them. Better be careful once she met them then. "i see thanks f0r the advice eridan this is all very very interesting perhaps ill meet s0me 0f them" Eventually, this would cause Aradia to ask everyone in the Sanctuary's species unless if it was downright obvious what species they were.

Aradia immediately noticed Eridan's mood. "i see i w0nder why" Actually, she really didn't wonder why. She never expected to have that inquiry answered. At the very least, she didn't want it to be answered at this moment. "even s0llux was here and left t00 bef0re i c0uld c0me?" Aradia had just missed him by the skin of her teeth! But it could be worse. They might have not even come here at all. "alright then ill pick 0ut a r00m eventually just let me l00k ar0und the place f0r a little bit later 0n if y0u d0nt mind" she requested politely. The news was upsetting because it's sad when friends leave, but neither of the trolls were one to get extremely emotional over it.

Aradia listened intently with her eyes wide open and all her attention centered on the violetblood troll in front of her. He, after all, knew more about this place than she did. "0h g0g thats a wh0le l0t 0f tr0lls and terezi was here?" Maybe she could FLARP against her! It would be so much fun. But he spoke with a grim expression, so she just nodded and leaned forward with a concerned expression as she saw him continuously get upset. A troll related to Sollux? How interesting. "im s0rry they left y0u pr0bably miss a l0t 0f them" Aradia was never one who was good at cheering people up, but she just hated to see such a sad expression on Eridan's face. He wasn't supposed to look like that! He was supposed to be smug and confident and glad with his life and all of that! Her repetition of Terezi's name was in question."TEREZI?  terezi? she was y0ur matespirit? The irony was almost funny, except for the fact that it just wasn't. Aradia stared at Eridan in disbelief with her mouth wide open. She had never ever seen this coming. She was glad the two found a good relationship but then her mood sunk down almost as low as Eridan's when he mentioned Terezi died. "0h my g0d im s0 s0rry she died..." Aradia didn't simply pity Eridan; she herself was fairly upset since Terezi was a really close friend. If Sollux wasn't a troll who was stuck in between matespritship and moirallegiance for Aradia, Terezi would be her prime pick for a moirail. "thats s0 weird!" She was extremely confused by how come Gamzee, Karkat, and Sollux left all at once. That was really unexpected.

She simply stated, "i w0uld ask y0u s0me but right n0w my mind is busy abs0rbing the inf0rmati0n i believe we can save them f0r an0ther night alright?"

Nepeta and her shipping wall... Eridan had only been up to her room once or twice (because it doubled as Equius' room and he wasn't going out of his way to see THAT guy) and he'd seen the shipping wall, as mental as ever. She literally tried to ship everyone. Her wall wasn't big enough, but she tried. It was fairly impressive, actually. Well, if you thought that kind of thing COULD be impressive. Eridan was sorta leaning towards... not really impressive. Shipping was never his thing, unless it was him trying to get someone.

Most likely... Eridan noticed your changes, too. Sure, it wasn't so much progression as it was regression since you were from waaaaay earlier in the timeline than he was, but it was change nonetheless. To be honest, he'd found her kind of creepy as a robot. She had blue blood because of Equius, too. That put him off. As for how she was now... he thought it was an improvement so far. She seemed much easier to interact with and much more fun loving, unlike her when she was dead. She'd stopped caring about a whole lot of things when that had happened.

"a course you wwere lost at the first sentence im fuckin awwful at explainin thins an this is a lot to take in" He just looked kinda average the way he was now, no special Eridan looks or anything. "you actually did that for me an it stirred up a lot a shit" Their session took an entity from another session... not recommended to take a rampaging Bec Noir from any other session ever! "there are some people you wwant to avvoid but ill get to that later" A lot of people. Well, five or six, anyway.

Yeah, there was no way Aradia wouldn't meet people from other species. It was a literal impossibility. There were a lot of species on Portal Breach and many of them looked human. For all Eridan knew, Aradia could have met another type of species already and not realised it. But, that was unlikely. Lucky that she arrived here at night, though...

But, the trolls. Sollux? "yeah he left along wwith his fuckin attitude" And shut-in-ness. Eridan hated him, so he didn't care that he was gone. "yeah she wwas my matesprit i nevver saww it actually happenin either" It was pretty shocking that he'd not been rejected again. He felt happy for at least a bit of time, anyway. "dont wworry about it its happened been an done nothin anyone can do about it shes gone" He'd accepted it by now. No use stressing over it when nothing could be done to fix it, anyway.

It was indeed weird! Eridan had never assumed that Karkat would take Gamzee with him, to be honest. Sollux, he could have guessed, though. He didn't really care, though; he just knew that he hadn't said goodbye to anyone, and that was pretty painful. But, that was just Eridan looking at the dark side of life.

"yeah wwhatevver if you ask me more questions ill answwer them ivve got nothin better to do anywway than sit in my fuckin respiteblock" He really didn't.

Nepeta Leijon was not someone Aradia talked with a lot. But still, when they met for only one time in the Sanctuary, they hugged each other. Aradia was wrapped up in the confusion but also in a little bit of pity, knowing the poor adorable cat troll had been through so much even though she did not specifically know the details of the damage. All she knew was that the trouble caused by BLACKCAT and Thomas Steele affected everyone. Aradia didn't know the details yet; she would find out, but on her own time. If she continued to ask Eridan more, he'd only get upset.

Changing her train of thought back to Eridan's changes. Aradia had nearly no clue of what he had been through, not even a close insight. The feelings jam later on would do nothing to change that, at least halfway through. However, she managed to get him to think in a different, much more positive perspective by then, and that was all fine and dandy. Aradia didn't like to dwell on all the sad stuff though; she hated it. Aradia was much more fun loving than after her death, but easy to interact with? Aradia wasn't sure if that was the right way to describe it. Well, whatever.

"y0ure n0t awful i think y0ure alright f0r being the first pers0n ever t0 pr0vide me exp0siti0n 0n this anyway" Yep. That was an average Eridan, whatever that was. Let's just go with that description because the narrator has no clue what a special Eridan look is either. She laughed bitterly at his next comment. "the ancest0rs saw it happen its a l0t 0f bs i cant even h0pe t0 imagine" Some people to avoid, huh? This will just be great. She wondered who they would be, but later, later. Tonight was not the night. Aradia had to settle in and surely, all this talk will be upsetting. She had a feeling she was bringing back too much memories for the sea dweller. She could be wrong, but it was better to be safe rather than sorry. "yeah"

Aradia would meet a lot of people once she was able to find the Sanctuary a day or so later. She would find Tally Stevens, Ayalah Levi, Aya Valentine, and countless of others. Except the trolls. Only Nepeta, but the ram troll would only hug her once only to find her gone possibly forever a few days afterwards. Before, for the hours she walked on the beach to find this hive, no one was around.

Aradia frowned. "hey be nice t0 him i kn0w shit must have g0ne 0n between y0u tw0 (i d0nt kn0w what) but whatever" Yeah, maybe he was a shut in but Sollux was a great guy to Aradia at least! He was kind to her and spent time with her. "im glad y0u tw0 g0t t0gether i just wish she was still here" For both Eridan and Aradia. Aradia was pretty close to Terezi during her time on Alternia, as said before. "mhm..." Eridan had a point. For some reason, he seemed to be really logical. That was a change, but a subtle one. Maybe it wasn't even a change at all, but she didn't know. It was disheartening but there really was nothing the two of them could do about it.

Aradia had never assumed any of them would have left. What reason did they have to leave? Those were inquiries to ask. She had plenty of more though. Why would Karkat take Sollux with him? To her knowledge, the two weren't all that buddy-buddy as far as her timeline went until she came here. But Eridan continued to look anguished.

That wouldn't do. No, not at all. Even if Eridan had nothing better to do than sit on his respite block, she was sure he was going to do that anyway no matter what she asked him. "n0 i cant ask y0u any m0re questi0ns i g0tta settle in"

Aradia couldn't ask him questions forever. Until the two were close enough to have a feelings jam, this matter was settled. She'd have to get her answers from other people.

She was not intimate enough for these matters with him for her to be trusted with such information. All the ram troll would succeed with was hurting him emotionally by bringing up these matters again and again when he probably overthought them in the first place.

Aradia couldn't stand to see him so sad, even though she barely knew him. Even if she would have not liked him so much had she talked to him more during the time she was on Alternia. Until these matters were settled on his own, Aradia could not help Eridan even if she tried, and he would only remain as something like a ghost of what he formerly was.

He would be deader than she was when she actually died by Sollux's hand.
