    First Morning

    BGM: The End Of Reminiscence

And so, Homura arrived back at the Inn. It had been a long walk back, but Homura had walked anyway. She'd gone there, she could easily go back. Not that it was an especially difficult task, walking. But anyway. It had taken her a good three hours because of the distance between the Forest and the Inn, but she didn't mind. Archer had been quiet for a while. Homura wondered whether he was busy further mulling over the news that she had told him. She knew that it had taken her a few days to take it all in and fully understand that currently, Madoka was out of her reach. Her ambition had not been fulfilled in the end, and had been placed in the hands of another.

Arriving at the door to the Inn, Homura took out her keycard and slid it in the little slot. The doors unlocked. Taking her keycard again, Homura headed in before they closed and when on the other side, slid it again in order to lock the doors one last time. It had been a hectic month, to be honest. The robots had gone mental, but Homura had decided to sit this one out. She needed to think of plans for finding and eliminating Witches, and she felt far too weak to aid in the robot war. She could stop time, but she was not invincible. The robots would probably mince her while she tried to aid her organic allies in keeping them out of the City.

"The Innkeeper will be asleep at this time. I don't mind what you do, but tomorrow I shall tell him that you are here. He might get on-edge if we leave him in the dark." Homura blinked as she begun ascending the steps. "I shall return to my room." She wasn't going to tell him to leave her alone because she didn't exactly plan to sleep. The way her life was, sleep wasn't as necessary as it was for others. Sure, she needed her sleep to keep up her bodily reactions and reflexes, but other than that she could go a long while without sleeping. How do you think she managed to stay wide awake for school and still hunt Witches at night without any falling asleep?

So, Homura reached her room and entered. She sat down on one of the chairs that was there, beginning to further contemplate matters. She had Witches that she needed to be strong enough to fight, and other things that she needed to think about. She would be difficult to talk to like this.

    Time: 6:01 AM
    Date: March 17th, 2013

Homura exited her room at last. It was about time for Link to be awakening, and thus she would head down to the lobby. The Magical Girl descended the stairs with not much emotion (as per usual) and hit the bottom floor. She entered the lobby, and stood by the counter. She assumed Link wouldn't be too long. Because of this, she called Archer down with her. It was about time that she introduced them, just so that Link wouldn't overreact when he saw a caped red man that he'd never seen before wandering around the Inn. For all Link knew, he could be there to cause destruction on a scale of that of the Prinnies. That would not be pretty.

"It is time to introduce you to the Innkeeper."

Archer did not miss his opportunity to look around and memorize the layout of the city as Homura led him to the inn, knowing one's way around the vicinities was paramount to survival. Luckily, that 4 kilometer eyesight really came in handy at times like this. Before he knew it, they were there.

Homura Akemi wrote:"The Innkeeper will be asleep at this time. I don't mind what you do, but tomorrow I shall tell him that you are here. He might get on-edge if we leave him in the dark."

Based on Homura's brief explanation, getting the innkeeper on edge was not something they wanted to, then again, this girl could make anything seem ominous. ["I see. In that case, I shall keep a lookout for now. Tomorrow we should scout the city."], it was the briefest of answers and an unnecessary one at that. Homura clearly was not especially interested, and keeping a lookout would've been pointless in any case.

Homura Akemi wrote:"I shall return to my room."

So she did, and Archer followed her. She did not tell him to wait outside (not that he would have), which meant she had no time for childish nonsense like being worried about a male entering her living quarters. Homura sat down saying nothing, the same melancholy state she had entered a while earlier.

Morning came. The two had not talked much during the night. After a while, Homura stood up, exited her room and descended the stairs, clearly having some sort of business on her mind, most likely what she had mentioned last night.

Homura Akemi wrote:"It is time to introduce you to the Innkeeper."

And with that, his suspicions were confirmed. ["I see. Normally I would have warned you about revealing me to others but in this case it seems like I will have to make an exception. It's hard to show off when you're so straight to the point."], and with a little more teasing out of the way, Archer materialized behind Homura, arms folded in a relaxed stance, wearing a look on his face that said that said "you're a handful".

Here he was coming down the stairs, unwinding his scarf and the only thing he had on his mind was a nice hot breakfast. Hmm, scrambled eggs? Sunny side up? Toast? Soldier eggs? A good fry up? What should he have? Actually, it's so cold out, having porridge might not be a bad idea as well. Porridge with honey toppings? Maybe fruit toppings? Ooooo pears!

Sadly, his breakfast would have to wait because as he stepped off the stairs, there were two beings waiting for him at the desk. The boy blinked, looking first at Homura then at the tall red dressed man. So early in the morning too!

But Homura was showing no signs of friendliness towards the man; look, even her posture screams emotionless indifference! Soooo conclusion: Homura had just escorted a newcomer to the inn for a free room.

OR, something was up. They are here at an absurdly early hour after all. The vast majority of his tenants were probably still in bed and even the earliest might be JUST at the edges of waking up.

Link waved at them then set his scarf onto the reception desk so that his hands were free to write on his digiglass. "Can I help you?" he wrote.

ADMIN NOTE: please do not write another's actions for them. Even if this is agreed upon, it is frowned by the rules of roleplaying. Each RPer is to RP character actions themselves. I noticed this in the previous thread with Archer and Homura. Thank you.

(It won't happen again. *Nod nod*)

And thus, there was a Link! Homura looked at Link, fresh up, writing on his digiglass. She honestly hadn't spent enough time with Archer to be able to show him anything other than emotionless indifference. He didn't seem like a bad guy, but she didn't view him as anything special just yet. Her opinion of him probably would grow if he remained true to his promise and helped her fight Witches and gain strength, but until then, he'd have to do with her just not minding his presence. She'd been all but alone here for a few months now; it would take her a while to warm up to anyone. Even Tenho, who she did enjoy the company of, was still viewed with emotionless indifference. Then again, Tenho and herself had only walked and talked twice, and by this point gone to the mall together once.

"I will leave this to you." Homura looked at Archer and his 'you're a pain' look. It was pretty fitting for him! Much like Homura's look suited her. Anyway, he might have a problem with him introducing himself to others, but this was necessary unless he wanted to have his ass handed to him at night should Link ever decide to head up to the roof. I mean, that wouldn't be pretty. An intruder. Even though Link tended to be rational and usually talked before he attacked, you had to watch out for people when they were tired. They changed... changed to something you'd never expect them to be as parts of their bodies shut down.

Homura moved behind Archer, prompting him to introduce and explain himself. She knew that Link didn't need to know about the Holy Grail or any of that information from his world, too; she just expected Archer to introduce himself as 'Archer' and to tell Link that he didn't need a room. Of course, she wouldn't mind if he wanted to have a room anyway (it was nice to have a place to live on your own) but that was up to him.

    Go ahead, Archer.

    ((Sorry, we shall repent.))

And so, a boy came through the door. A very short one at that. It seemed that the boy was mute as well, as instead of speaking up, he wrote on tablet, seemingly a piece of modern technology. "Can I help you?", were the written words, was this the innkeeper Homura had spoke of.

Speaking of his Master, "I will leave this to you", she said. Your Master is a troublesome one indeed, Archer, truly your life was one of woe..... Oh, right. "Oh, it seems I was wrong about you Master. You are actually far too lazy to even explain your Servant's situation.", he didn't mean any of that though, that much was clear from his expression and tone. Even with his complaining, Archer always remained loyal.

"In short, I will be staying here, though, as long as I'm with Homura I'm not going to be needing a room or any kind of services. All we really need is that you won't be surprised seeing me around here.", he looked at Homura, with an expression that seemed to say "was that so hard?". Turning back to Link, Archer focused on the part of the boy that had interested him the most; the handle of a sword, a strong on at that.

Archer's lips curled into a smile for praising, still containing his I-don't-care-what-you-think mindset. "That is a fine sword, kid."

We do hope you not thinking it's going to be as easy as that now, Mr. Archer. Oh no, if you think Link was just going to let you stroll in here and share a room with Homura, you have another think coming. Still running on a security-focused high when it came from the inn (you can thank Ridley, Phazon, Harry and also the recent Robots Craziness for that), Link watched Homura took a step back, her face remaining it's emotionless state. Were they friends or not? They certainly weren't showing any kind of relationship: friendship, family etc.

So the innkeeper could come to a single conclusion: they're strangers.

Red Dressed Man wrote:"Oh, it seems I was wrong about you Master. You are actually far too lazy to even explain your Servant's situation."

Link blinked. Master? Servant? Well they don't act it! FLAGS! ALL THE RED FLAGS! let the alarm bells ring in Link's mind! He didn't know much about Homura, if at all. But he'd had the girl here for a month and a half and she was a good tenant and a capable one too if their spar had anything to say. When you say these kind of ill-meant words, meant it or not, to a tenant of his, it was bound to garner a decent amount of suspicion from this boy.

Red Dressed Man wrote:"In short, I will be staying here, though, as long as I'm with Homura I'm not going to be needing a room or any kind of services. All we really need is that you won't be surprised seeing me around here."

    Wait....what?

    ...

    ...

    HUH?

They're going to be SHARING a room? But... they act like STRANGERS! (Also, no name given? Not the most confident of starts) And she's a young girl and he's a...obviously older man. Would he allow his little sister Aryll to stay with an unknown man? NO. Would he allow Zelda to stay with an unknown man? NOPE! Would he allow AYA, an adult, stay with an unknown man if he had a say about it? NOPE NOPE NOPE

Link returned the red dressed man's grin with a skeptical one of his own in response to the compliment. Take it slow. Nice and slow.

"I'm Link," he wrote to start off and displaying these two words before clearing the glass and starting a new line. "Are you two related?"

Not necessarily strangers, but it was easy to see Homura giving off that impression. She HAD spent a good few hours walking with him talking to her, after all. They were at least acquaintances. But nonetheless, strangers wasn't TOO far from the deal they had. They were Master and Servant, but Homura had not long ago learned of that herself.

Archer wrote:"Oh, it seems I was wrong about you Master. You are actually far too lazy to even explain your Servant's situation."

Homura had pretty much figured out at this point that he was only teasing. He was just that kind of guy. "You can explain it better than I can." She had learned of the situation they were in through the 'contract' question she had asked him, but she was still certain that he could explain it far, far better than she could ever hope to. He was a man from this situation, anyway; he knew much more about it than she did just like she was much more likely to know about the situation she was in as a Magical Girl than he was. I mean, if they spent time together they'd probably reveal more things to each other (well, they might. Archer is Archer and Homura is Homura, after all.) but right now they knew bare minimum about each other.

Archer wrote:"In short, I will be staying here, though, as long as I'm with Homura I'm not going to be needing a room or any kind of services. All we really need is that you won't be surprised seeing me around here."

Wind Waker Link wrote:"I'm Link. Are you two related?"

Your expression said it all, Link. SUSPICION ALERT! Homura shook her head, speaking up. "His situation is unique. I do not mind if he has his own room, but he does not need to rest." Might be a nice place to have nice things, though. I mean, nothing like having a collection of material items that while being useless, could be collected! There wasn't all that much fighting here, after all. There was a lot of one-on-one fighting, but other than that it could get pretty boring for anyone who came here and expected to be instantly allowed to fight anyone they wished to fight. Judging by what she knew of Archer's backstory, he was very battle-orientated. Therefore, Homura expected him to get bored of the peace easily.

"He is a new arrival bound to me. We don't know how he became bound to me, but if he wasn't he would fade from this world."

Well this was going nowhere fast. A sarcastic Servant who reveals nothing, a Master who has nothing to reveal and a cautious innkeeper.

Homura Akemi wrote:"You can explain it better than I can."

"Do you honestly believe that, Homura? You are far more careless than I thought.", but very well, he attempted to explain. It didn't go too well and the innkeeper's face went from confused to worried.

The Innkeeper wrote:"I'm Link. Are you two related?"

The innkeeper wrote with a stern expression, it was clear that he really had to try in order to keep his cool. Archer simply shrugged. Homura had ordered him to explain and explain he had, the results of said explanation was in no way his problem, now was it? ....Actually, it was, but for someone who doesn't have a goal in mind, he had time. A lot of time. Homura's turn.

Homura Akemi wrote:"His situation is unique. I do not mind if he has his own room, but he does not need to rest."
"He is a new arrival bound to me. We don't know how he became bound to me, but if he wasn't he would fade from this world."

And so Homura, the Maiden of Time, solved all problems. Or rather, that would have been preferable but one never knew. Archer simply nodded to her words. "Indeed. We don't actually know how the contract was formed but it can't be helped really.

I own nothing but my inner world. A room would only be a waste of space. And besides......"
, what you didn't know was that his "inner world" sometimes became the outside one. Though back to the present, in order to illustrate his point, Archer began to fade from his legs up, going slowly as not to shock Link. Once his presence was erased completely he spoke again. "It is not like I take up much space myself. And before I forget, it seems like you took my advice and started taking responsibility, Master.", his words seemingly echoed in the room, the direction of which it came from nearly impossible to tell.

Red-dressed fishy man of fishiness wrote:"Do you honestly believe that, Homura? You are far more careless than I thought."
Homura wrote:"His situation is unique. I do not mind if he has his own room, but he does not need to rest."

On that point, Link had to agreed. Homura WAS careless. How can he let her stay in a room alone with....with...well this blatantly unrelated older man of questionable circumstances, eyebrow-raising attitude and certainly not a FRIEND yet? Actually, that's quite a good question. Would Link had allowed them if they were friends? Hm, maybe, maybe not. Maybe if there were no other alternatives but this was the inn! It had the capacity to house two hundred and more. Current occupancy? Forty to fifty. Plenty of room~

As first impressions went, this red dressed man was not giving off a very good one. Ciela would had been hissing, spitting and snapping with sarcasm if she was here to witness this first impression. Don't dwell on it, Link. You've met equally unpleasantly condescending people before. Think about the likes of....of...well, he would say Linebeck but his was more arrogance and bluff. No, stay calm. Don't judge so quick.

"What is this contract?" he wrote. Maybe there is a loophole for them to work with to get them out of this unwilling bond.

And then the red dressed man faded out of existence.

Link was far from shocked. More blinking at the unexpectancy of it but that was it as far as levels of surprise it was. He looked around the lobby, the corner of his mouth tugging in dissatisfaction as he heard the man talk, words once again grating on Link's nerves.

    No. NO and NO.

He was NOT letting a young female tenant of his live with a man she barely knew, contract or no contract - especially a man who could go invisible. Whilst he knew Homura was more than capable of taking care of herself, its better to be safe than sorry. "We have plenty of empty rooms. It's more of a waste of space to have them go unused."

Post by Homura Akemi on Tue Apr 02, 2013 4:38 pm

Damn it, Homura wasn't that careless. She didn't often sleep at night, so she naturally wasn't worrying about him during the nighttime. Besides, she knew that and the fact that she was a Magical Girl, and these facts made her pretty certain of herself. So while Link and Archer called her careless, it didn't matter much to her who was watching over her at night.

"The contract is a contract where Archer uses my magical energy to sustain himself in this world. Without it, he would disappear." That was the gist of it, anyway. Homura had noticed that Link was still suspicious and, well, it was understandable. Archer did look like an older man. She could also hear Archer as he faded, and although he was merely proving a point, the look on Link's face wasn't very convincing. After Archer mentioned her 'taking responsibility', Homura grimaced. She did have a contract with Archer, but she didn't know who he was. She didn't know whether he was evil or whether he wasn't, whether he'd been lying or not, or about anything. And equally, he didn't know her.

"You haven't even told me your true name in response to my own. I will not take full responsibility for someone I don't properly know." Homura replied coldly. She was the only Master you knew for definite would be a Master while you were here, if what you'd said about the Holy Grail granting Command Spells was true; she believed that you needed to stop talking to her like that.

Still, she wasn't going to just duke it out word-wise the entire day. Link had business to be getting to, as did they. "It is wise to choose your battles. I recommend that you pick a room." Homura told Archer. After all, if he could go invisible/intangible like that, it didn't matter much. He could probably keep an eye on her anyway. Therefore, it didn't matter. Besides, he'd just be on the roof anyway, and seeing as how the Inn had like, hundreds of free rooms, who cared if one was marked as being used yet wasn't actually being used?

"I will scout the town with you when this is over." Despite her not liking your attitude much, and her coldness earlier, she was still gonna work with you. It'd be stupid to cancel a contract that might be the last one you get the chance to make over a little bit of upset attitude, after all.

It's up to you; room or no room?

Resistance was futile! The boy would not yield!

Archer kept silent as he listened to their discussion. Homura explained their contract, albeit in it's simplest form, to the innkeeper. Yet, it seemed that said innkeeper wasn't listening to reason. Sure, they were suspicious, but their reasoning was sound..... Well, mostly. Then, Homura spoke to Archer.
Homura Akemi wrote:"You haven't even told me your true name in response to my own. I will not take full responsibility for someone I don't properly know."

He shrugged, or he would've if he'd had a body at the time. ["If you've no use of me, feel free to use the Command Spell to command me to die. And it might be better for you not to know my name, if someone were to read your mind and find out my identity, they could easily figure out my weakness...... Well, that's what most Heroic Spirits would tell you, unfortunately my true name is utterly useless."] , there you had it Homura. You are of course free to inquire but don't expect anything. Then again, you might start having some interesting dreams very soon.

Around that time, the innkeeper wrote another note. It was clear he wasn't going to give up. Though interestingly, Homura seemed to have her own ideas.
Innkeeper wrote:"We have plenty of empty rooms. It's more of a waste of space to have them go unused."

Homura Akemi wrote:"It is wise to choose your battles. I recommend that you pick a room."
"I will scout the town with you when this is over."

["Oh, I see. You are certainly right in that regard, Homura. There is no reason for arguing if it won't actually affect anything, well, I suppose I guess it doesn't matter as I will stay with you anyway. Hah, you seem to have potential after all, Master."], the tone of his voiced suggested satisfaction, was he pleased by Homura's actions or simply amused at the prospect of deception?

Archer materialized. He shrugged at Link and addressed them both. "Very well, it will be completely pointless but I guess I don't have a choice. In any case, Homura, it will be difficult to discuss plans with you if we are far apart, being close by certainly make things easier, not that I particularly care for having to take care of a little girl.", he turned back to Link. "My name's Archer and I am tasked with being the guardian of this little girl. Anything else you need to know?"

This would likely incite more questions in the boy, not that Archer was short on time. Well, what's it gonna be, Innkeeper?

Homura wrote:"The contract is a contract where Archer uses my magical energy to sustain himself in this world. Without it, he would disappear."

Archer? Who is this Arche-- OH! He was called Archer? Huh well, about time a name was provided. Link crossed his arms at this point, leaning backwards against his reception desk and tummy giving him faint pangs of protest. You still haven’t had breakfast yet, boy! The tummy said.

Hunger aside, the innkeeper regarded this new piece of information the same time he regarded Homura up and down. So this ‘contract’ wasn’t a paper one but a magical one? Urgh, just pick the trickiest type of contracts out there, why don’t you?

But she’s new here. Her powers aren’t completely recovered and up the the standard she was use to back in her own world. Can she cope with this magic energy drain that this contract impose on her? Her half-lidded monotone look does not help matters either since Link cannot honestly tell if she’s poker facing or tired beyond belief.

“Have your powers and abilities recovered enough to take on such a contract?” wrote the boy, genuinely concerned. Yes, the ‘servant’ was a disagreeable character with questionable circumstances, questionable background, questionable intent and even more questionable attitude but that wasn’t why Link was against the red clothed invisible man. With the record of taking in practically all newcomers who wanted a room, Link do not mind having less than savoury characters as tenants - see Bun-Bun, Laharl and Amon - so long as they do not hinder inn operations, the stay and wellbeing of other tenants.

Nope, it’s not Archer himself that was driving this innkeeper into acting like a distrustful interrogator - if he had came for a room like everybody else, he would had got a room no problem. What Link here was concerned mainly of wasn’t Archer’s being in but HOMURA’s wellbeing.

Call this boy a prude, call him old fashioned, call him over-protective or call him over stepping his innkeeper duties in interfering with his tenants relationships. He’d prefer to be called a ‘concerned friend/acquaintance’. And this ‘contract’ sounds as unhealthy as forced contracts went.

Homura wrote:"You haven't even told me your true name in response to my own. I will not take full responsibility for someone I don't properly know."

And THAT sent every single red warning light flashing in Link’s head. She doesn’t know him ‘properly’ and they want a room together? Not. Over. Link’s. Hero. Clothed. Dead. Body.

Aren’t you SO glad this boy didn’t read minds? Because if he did, Archer would be booted right out of the inn this very second (with a level 60 dice for boot damage) had he learnt of Archer’s mental conversation with the magical girl. As it stands, your presence here is neither welcomed nor completely and utterly unwelcomed yet. You’re on a wall, magical servant. Yes, Link was just a 12 year old boy but you're dealing with an innkeeper who'd been through and is still recovering from TWO emotionally stressed plots since the year started.

Archer wrote:"Very well, it will be completely pointless but I guess I don't have a choice. In any case, Homura, it will be difficult to discuss plans with you if we are far apart, being close by certainly make things easier, not that I particularly care for having to take care of a little girl.”

"My name's Archer and I am tasked with being the guardian of this little girl. Anything else you need to know?"

Yes, about time you introduced yourself properly. Hello to you as well.

“Is there a way to break this ‘contract’? There are lots of magical beings and thing in Portal Breach so we could reassign you to somebody with more recovered magical powers? Homura is new here so her powers aren’t fully returned yet.”

A slight detour from the room talk but one Link deemed important because it was a way of testing the waters and gave him information. Whether they choose to provide this information was up to them. Choose your words wisely, you two. The road for agreeable living in this inn forks from this point on. Whether it's a two pronged, three or four pronged fork or even a spork, it’s all on what you say now.

((It makes more sense for Archer to reply first here, Flame's fine with it too.))

Innkeeper wrote:“Is there a way to break this ‘contract’? There are lots of magical beings and thing in Portal Breach so we could reassign you to somebody with more recovered magical powers? Homura is new here so her powers aren’t fully returned yet.”

And so, all the progress they had made up to this point was rendered meaningless, forcing Homura and the knight back to square one as far as negotiations went. UnLuckily for you, Archer was here to add sarcasm and emphasis, because why act social when he had all the time in the world and more to think on his mistakes. As for Link's question; there was indeed a way, however....

"Breaking the Master-Servant contract? Hm.....", Archer closed his eyes and pretended to think about it before shrugging and answering in a completely unconcerned tone. "Well, I suppose it's been done before.....", he paused again. "There are several ways in fact, the easiest would be Homura using up the Command Spells, the only side effect would be that I'd die in two days... Then again, she could force me to commit suicide right here, that would be even more effective in a way.... Actually, now that I think about it, if this world is constructed the way I've been told, I would end up being alive without a body. Interesting, Master, you have the potential to make me suffer a fate worse than death... You might be a dangerous Master after all.", again he spoke in a matter-of-fact way, unfazed even when speaking of his own death.

"I suppose the alternative would be transplanting the Command Spell, though, with no Magus with the required knowledge anywhere close we would probably be forced to sever her right hand and I doubt she'd like that... In the end, it all comes down to Homura insisting on keeping me alive... Perhaps I should thank you, Homura...." How unfortunate was he, to be stuck with someone so concerned for his well-being, surely none could be as unlucky as he, what a predicament indeed.

"Any ideas, Homura? Or rather, am I that much of a hassle for you?", he asked her, not sounding very interested.

Homura shook her head once. To Link it would seem like she was just shaking her head as if she'd just woken up and was merely clearing her head, but it was a response loud and clear to Archer. She wasn't going to kill him, but she'd ask for his name when there wasn't anyone else around. Her head would probably not be as easy as usual to get into, seeing as how she'd used her magic to dull her emotions. It naturally would affect your mental processes. Of course, this was just what she believed. She could be wrong; her mind could be easy as hell to get into. She just... didn't think that was true. Especially since she'd dulled her emotions to prevent herself being so reliant/weak and giving things away, but I digress.

Wind Waker Link wrote:“Have your powers and abilities recovered enough to take on such a contract?”

"My magic has sufficient supply. It is mostly unaffected by the portal." She was honest. The only things that the portal's 'weakening' had really done was affect what items she could pull out of her hammerspace shield, and prevent her from reversing time. Judging by the way that the sand in her shield's hourglass seemed infinite now (the sand at the bottom never rose higher than the height it was at currently, as did the sand at the top) she was going to assume that the sand would never run out, therefore preventing her from turning back time. It had been like this since the first time she'd looked at her device upon arrival, back when she'd been greeted by Amaterasu, Issun, Eloara and Etna. It was odd... but she assumed it was because the resident Gods of this world did not wish time travel to be possible. She could be wrong. I mean, it could just be a glitch in the system, after all.

Interesting, Master, you have the potential to make me suffer a fate worse than death... You might be a dangerous Master after all."

Homura looked at Archer. "I would not." There's no way that someone like her would subject someone to that fate. She'd been trapped in a labyrinth attempting to save someone from a fate worse than death for ages; she would most certainly not be sending someone else to that fate anytime soon. Or anytime ever, for that matter.

Archer wrote:"I suppose the alternative would be transplanting the Command Spell, though, with no Magus with the required knowledge anywhere close we would probably be forced to sever her right hand and I doubt she'd like that... In the end, it all comes down to Homura insisting on keeping me alive... Perhaps I should thank you, Homura...."

Homura looked up. Cut her right hand off? She couldn't do that. Why couldn't she do that? Her hands were necessary for her to fight Witches. She couldn't stop time if she only had one hand, after all. Either way, she needed these hands to survive. Without them... she would undoubtedly die, and she needed to be here for in case Madoka survived and arrived. It was selfish. It was a very selfish wish, but she would back it anyway.

Archer wrote:"Any ideas, Homura? Or rather, am I that much of a hassle for you?"

"I do not believe that abandoning the contract is necessary. If anything, it should allow him to get stronger." After all, she doubted he'd stand idly by in Witch Hunts. "I'm fine with him living in a different room, but I do not want him to die. I also cannot lose either of my hands." She had reasons. "I would prefer that our contract remain." On the other hand, she didn't want to risk giving him away to anyone that might decide it was fun to make him do things he didn't want to do, or anyone that would force him into a fate worse than death.

    Any other inquiries?
