There truly was a good amount of destruction out in the city, but thankfully, it was not nearly as bad as it could have been. It would have been best for all that this rampage had not happened at all of course, but as it was, Impa was grateful for the relative state of things.

After Impa and the older Link had met up with the younger boy, the three had set about agreeing to their own tasks around this latest event. As soon as the Hero of Winds had written his intention to venture out and see what he could do in the city, the Hero of Time had readily said that he wanted to help, but that he would feel much better staying at the inn. His reasons were twofold… one, he wished to be there to greet Zelda first in the event she happened to return. Inwardly, he was not sure if he would have been able to easily forgive himself if he was out and about and not there if she had returned before any of them… after all, he had promised to wait on her no matter what. He did hope that she was able to conquer her current affliction without much trouble, but even if she still had it once she returned… he would be there for her.

As far as his second reason went, whilst he fully trusted the security of the inn, part of him wanted to ensure that the building and its residents would once again remain safe, from robots outside and even inside. Link had grown to accept that what happened to Clock Town was not his fault and subsequently learned that overall, if the futures of Hyrule were any indication, that he HAD succeeded at saving it. Those points in time still existed after all, and Aicara's arrival alone had proven that yes, portals appearing or not, Termina had been saved the same as Hyrule had. His guilt had been healed, but even so, he still wanted to do his part to stand firm here. In case if anything even tried to strike the inn today, be it robotic tenant or anything from the outside, he would be ready.

After they had their short meeting and the three set out to their respective tasks, the older Link headed straight for downtown and Impa took off for the firewall. The barrier thankfully seemed to be holding steady despite the onslaught the corrupted robots were meeting it with, and the strike force that had assembled to meet their threat certainly appeared to have things under control. In one particular pass of a certain section of it she had made before Tally's group arrived, the Sage of Shadow had caught sight of Sheik fighting to help subdue the robots. She was a very long ways away, but with some intense focusing, Impa was able to tell what she was doing, as well that she seemed to be mostly back to herself. That filled the Sheikah with a sense of relief as far as her charge was concerned, but she did not tarry at all here… the disguised princess had her role to fulfill in this, and so did she. Impa kept up her quick pace of her perimeter check, suddenly disappearing from the scene as quickly as she had arrived at the outskirts of it.

As it stood, even with anything that Link and Impa could do to help the barrier, the Sheikah knew very well that they would be able to do the most good in the city itself. Whether that was helping injured citizens, righting flipped cars, or generally helping to make sure people got back inside where it was safe, the two were set to help out in their own way for this particular event.

Impa had just finished escorting an injured woman to the hospital when she met the older Link outside of it. She smiled a bit at catching sight of the boy, and nodded to him as she approached him. "Well met, Link. I just finished my check of the barrier for us… it appears that everything is under control as far as it can be, and it is holding strong. Considering its status, it might be best for both of us to continue doing our part in the inner city… shall we work together to find more citizens in need?"

On a usual day, Link would hail a cab and take his time enjoying the views of the leisurely drive. But this was obviously not a 'usual' day, he was going to speculate that either traffic is chock-a-block downtown or non-existent. Either way, he wasn't going to waste time trying to convince a taxi driver to take him the mess in the Business district nor time to get stuff in traffic once he's there. So with Impa departing to the wall with the speed of a Sheikah, Link waved his temporary goodbyes and clattered a skateboard down on the pavement before stepping on and soon whizzing as fast as he could through the streets.

He haven't been using his Christmas present from Jana as much lately, finding public transport and walking a much easier way to get to places. But when neither choices were ideal, it was time to break out his boarding skills again. Link was by no means as skillful as Jana was at skateboarding. But he had could manage it enough to go straight lines with a good degree of balance and turn corners; tricks and stunts were out of the question.

As he approached the damaged streets of the downtown area, the skateboard slowed and he could only gape. Shop windows destroyed, cars damaged, merchandise, glass and bits of wreckage covered the pavements. Link sucked in a breath through clenched teeth. Oh boy, this was..... well it's not as bad as he imagined it would be but it was still pretty worse off. Wa Zelda involved in this? She wouldn't be hurt, right? What about his tenants? How many were here? He should had done a roll call before he left the inn then he'd at least knew who was still out and about.

"Well," started Ciela, flying forward and peeking into the shattered glass front of a cafe. "At least it's not wrecked and covered in Phazon."

"Come on, Link. Let's help out. I see a few people still around. Maybe we can coordinate with them and get things done quickly." A few members of the public were still around indeed, ignoring the advice to stay indoors and had started the job of cleaning up the mess. Not many, only a scant few but better than nothing.

He waved at them, kicked up his skateboard and propped it against a wall before he too got to work, hoping and praying that all who were involved in this were saved, not harmed and he wasn't going to see anybody familiar or unfamiliar stuck under a destroyed car or anything.

There were nobody stuck under cars but he did managed to find one or two citizens trapped in their own stores, partly afraid to move from shock and listening to the advice to stay indoors. Whichever reason it was, it wasn't wise or safe to stay where they were. With a (hopefully) comforting smile and hand, he led them to the hospital. He would take them to the inn if they were uninjured but the hospital was a lot closer.

"Aa!" cried Link as he approached the hospital with one mildly injured citizen in tow and a terrified child on his own back.

    "Impa!"

Link smiled, waved and held up one finger for the 'one minute please' pose. The innkeeper led his two temporary charges into the hospital, left them in the welcoming (and very busy; seems like somebody was guiding the injured here long before either Impa and himself did) hands of the medical staff. When the Hero of Winds stepped out of the doors again, he rushed over to the Sage's side.

    "Aa?"
he pointed at the protective barrier.
    Impa wrote:
"Well met, Link. I just finished my check of the barrier for us… it appears that everything is under control as far as it can be, and it is holding strong. Considering its status, it might be best for both of us to continue doing our part in the inner city… shall we work together to find more citizens in need?"

"Mm...." It's still holding. That's good. That gave them some time to work with.

"Is there a big fight there?" asked Leaf - forever eager to be in, watch and hear about fights.

A fight....He tugged his collar up to cover his mouth. "Mnhm?"

Impa was very glad to see Link and his three fairies already, for even though she had known that they were headed towards this part of downtown, it was certainly nice to be able to catch them without too much trouble. Better yet, she had already been able to confirm that they were all safe. Things were fairly quiet in the city itself right now, and she did trust the lad to take care of himself, but regardless, she was still rather relieved to see him. She nodded once more to the lad at his trademark 'one minute please' hand signal, right before moving to fold her arms and wait patiently for him just outside of the main hospital doors.

Once Link returned and pointed to the protective barrier far on the outskirts of the city, Impa followed his motion with her gaze before glancing back to him. Now she took the chance to greet him properly, right before updating him on the status of the firewall. He seemed to be even more relieved that she had expected that it was still holding strong for the time being, and that fact would undoubtedly enable both of them to more effectively go about their own personal mission here. As the Hero of Winds noted his own agreement to the next part of their idea, Impa smiled a touch and nodded to him. "Excellent."

At Leaf's question, Impa glanced to the Spirit of Power, her expression turning the slightest bit more serious. "Yes, there is. It is not as large a battle as we might have expected, but it is still of a respectable scale. Several of our friends and allies as well as a small army of Lizalfos-like men have teamed up to try and weaken the robots. I can't say for certain how much more progress they have to make, but at the very least… the stand is going well."

A moment later, as Link mimed his action for Sheik, Impa paused. Her expression softened slightly before she nodded firmly to the lad, simply stating, "Yes… Sheik is there. I kept an eye on things from a distant vantage point, but I was able to confirm that not only is he safe, he appears to be all but fully back to himself now."

Lizalfos. That's one of the lizard warrior creatures from Impa's time, right? Link remembered seeing a picture and hearing about them from the other Hyruleans. Leaf had been extra excited at the recounting of Dodongo's Cavern. Lizard warriors. Lizard warriors. Who dodges, fought in pairs and used weapons. How awesome and cool was that? Why haven't HIS Link fought something like that? The closest thing HE fought to a weapon using lizard was...was.... um... wait, let Leaf think... Geozards?

Link and the other fairies focused on a different part of Impa's answer. One of their best friends. The boy's mouth flattened to a straight line at the thought that she's out there fighting hostile robots and Neri's soft whine echoed his concerns. Ciela, silently thought for a while then bounced once on Link's hat. "Hey, he's with friends and allies. And if Impa is calling them friends and allies then they must be friends and allies else why would we see her here instead of helping Sheik? He'll be fine. Plus he's back to himself now! We might even see him back at the inn for dinner!"

"Aa," agreed Link, face breaking out in a smile again. Neri's worries still weighed though but true, Impa was here so Sheik must be safe. She trusted the Sheikah's judgement but in order to ease her own worries, she can't help but ask, "Who are these friends and allies?"

If she knew who the disguised princess was with then surely she could rest more easy. "I should fly back to the inn as well. I'm sure Link would want to kn--"

"Nonono!" Leaf suddenly interupted. "Don't fly. We'll call him! Dr. Salli would mind us using a phone. Link could answer the phone. Can I use the phone? Please let me use the phone! I'M USING THE PHONE! YO! NURSES! CAN I BORROW YOUR PHONE?"

    Well, that's one fairy occupied.

Link turned back to Impa, his digiglass coming to hand. "We've started cleaning up the downtown area. The damage wasn't as bad as we thought and it's mainly focused on the Main Street stores. It looked like somebody else had already cleared the wounded and injured from the area. Those that are left aren't badly hurt but we did find a few still hiding in the damaged shops. Did you see anywhere else was that damaged?"

Impa had paused for a moment to let Link, Ciela, Leaf, and Neri take in her words and the full meaning behind them. The young boy did appear to be rather concerned at first, as did the Spirit of Wisdom, but even before the Sheikah could ease their minds herself, Ciela spoke up. Smiling slightly and nodding to the Spirit of Courage, she added, "She's right... Sheik is and will be fine. Had I detected any greater danger than what was already present, I can promise that I would have remained at the site of the battle. He can certainly handle himself... and he is in good company."

The Sheikah's smile broadened slightly as Link began to smile once more himself. At Neri's question, Impa glanced to the blue fairy and stated, "A good few. Both Kev and Chell are with him, as are Lin, Korra, Sokka, Gaara, Bun-Bun, and a Leopard Warrior I did not recognize. All of them and the lizard warriors were fighting valiantly to try and power the robots down."

Impa hoped that her added information would help ease the Spirit of Wisdom's mind, regardless of the understandable concern that she knew would linger in at least some capacity for her. It certainly seemed to, especially once she jumped to want to let the younger Link know the status of the disguised princess. She could not help but laugh ever so slightly at Leaf's sudden enthusiasm... his very true reaction though was certainly something of a relief in all of this, though. Everything was starting to get back on the right track, and now they had to ensure that that course continued.

The Sheikah waited patiently as Link moved to write a message on his digiglass, carefully reading it over once he presented his text to her. She nodded at his report regarding the rest of the downtown area, thinking to herself that that was certainly reassuring. The notion that someone else had tried to help escort the injured and wounded away from the scene and into proper medical care was a very good one, and she silently sent her thanks to the mystery party. It was a shame that anyone had been hurt in the first place, but given the nature of the earlier rampage, it had sadly been all but unavoidable. At least things were calming down in that regard.

At the lad's question, Impa narrowed her red gaze for a moment before responding, stating, "Just some of the areas adjacent to Main Street. The area around the barrier itself is so far on the outskirts of the city that it has been kept safe from damage, and even the area just outside of the wall seemed to be spared as well.

Kev and Chell was there. Yeps, Zelda was in good hands then! Not that Link didn't trust the princess to be able to look after herself but it was comforting to know that there were trusted allies watching her back just in case anything happened. Kev would keep her safe! Kev tried to keep the Links safe during Mr. Dark! Link was confident their friend would do the same for Zelda. Chell though, he can't quite remember how well she could fight but he did remember Impa gave her a crossbow and if Impa trusted the former test subject with a crossbow, then Link too would trust her! It's not like Impa to run around handing out freebie weapons to people who doesn't know how to use them.

Lin, Korra, Sokka. He'd got glimpses of Lin in the Circus event but honestly cannot recall much detail but Boomerang buddy was there and Korra had that awesome (snuggle-tempting) bear dog. He was a bit frowny at the thought of Sokka being involved in another fight for lives again so soon after he just came back from the Pool. Really, what in the whole wide ocean is making random people of completely no relation to be involved in these things? What picked HIM the memory loss experience? What picked Zelda and Sokka for this uncharacteristic change in temper and patience? Portal X? Fate? Whatever and whoever it was, Link wouldn't mind meeting them and showing exactly what he thought of their lottery choices via a good few bombs to the face.

Gaara.....um....who was that again? The only image he was bringing up in his mind was this sand monster thing from the Phazon Crisis. Not a comforting thought. Bun-Bun...rather than fate choosing people, Bun-Bun seems to be the one doing the choosing. It's like he's throwing himself into every city-wide event there was!

Leopard wa-LEOPARD WARRIOR?! A spotted cat came to mind, armed with swords, shield, daggers, poisonous arrows, skull head staff, etc... Farore, that's awesome sounding! Where did he come from? Did he need a place to stay? He could stay at the inn. Link would LOVE an awesome warrior like that! He'll be tenant of the month! Of the season! Of the YEAR!

"Hoh!" Link sounded, liking what he was imagining and eyes having an extra gleam as he imagined the prospect of a new fighter in town.

Neri looked up at the sky and the wall, wings droopping a millimetre. She was still heavily concerned but the list of allies sounded comforting. If Link could spare a moment to prance off into his own wild imaginations instead of worrying then this fairy suppose there isn't that much to worry about. She flew forwards and up, hovering briefly above Impa's right shoulder befoee she settled down on it. "I suppose she'd be safe..." mumbled Neri.

Leaf returned just as Ciela bumped Link in the forehead to bring him back to serious mode and work. "It's odd for the robots to only go berserk in one area. Isn't that too much of a coincedence? Why just around main street? Were they gathered there or just there by chance when something in the area made them go crazy?"

The innkeeper nodded, first to his fairy then Impa. "We should try to see if we can find a clue as we clean up."

He smiled, jerked his head towards the direction of the wrecked street. Shall they go?

Impa could not help but smile a touch at seeing Link's newfound relief at her update regarding Sheik's current whereabouts and condition. She knew that the lad would be pleased to confirm that his friend was all right, but to see the almost tangible weight lifted off of his shoulders, that actually helped Impa quite a bit herself. She was strong, but Zelda was still her charge... and this turn of events had still taken its toll on her.

"He will be safe... I can promise you that, Neri," stated Impa, hoping to help ease the Spirit of Wisdom's mind. The Sage of Shadow was very familiar with the special bond that Neri shared with Zelda, as regardless of the fact that she held a particular connection with the older Link, her respective force had brought her an added degree of closeness with the disguised princess. That coupled with the Spirit of Wisdom's own inherent worrying had certainly led to her own added concern here, but even so, Impa was determined to do her best to help ease her mind. The same went for Ciela, Leaf, and of course Link and Link.

Carefully surveying the damage in the immediate area, Impa looked about to see just what might be their best course of action. Thankfully, from what she had seen herself as well as what she had learned from Ciela's own update here, it seemed that they had a good path set for them... "It does seem a bit odd, but considering the nature of this sudden instance, I would not be surprised if it wear meant to be more of a focused incident."

With a strong nod to Link at his gesture, Impa stated, "That's an excellent idea. Let's head on out."
