Place the items by the door, huh? That was a good suggestion! Minion's mind had been so set on 'grab everything and get out before Megamind shows up', he didn't stop and think to just place everything aside for now. He nodded in agreement and adjusted course, walking over to the door they had entered from. "Thank you for the suggestion!" Maybe he could even transform into some sort of carrying creature next! Maybe even a human, so as to carry everything better? After all, how else did Prixlezub get those books and those doughnuts? If he could shapeshift into the numerous creatures Minion had seen him become, then surely it was easy to become a human.

"Hm?" He turned around as instructed and realized that...the ones nearest to him did seem to be looking at him. To test it, he grabbed one more spare part off of the assembly line and watched with wide eyes as the optic of the arm watched Minion take it. A little disturbed, he placed the part back down and hurried to the door, placing everything down gingerly, so as to not break it. "Ah-ha-ha-ha, you're...uh, right...they seem to have a bit more to them then just build destroy build destroy..." Maybe they had something built into them so that they would realize when parts were getting taken away from the table. Maybe they were meant to retrieve the parts afterwards.

But well, these were just robotic arms. They could stare at him all they want, but they were still stuck to the table! They couldn't do a single thing to him, as long as he stayed away from the table! He gave the parts he placed down a small pat to keep them in place before spinning on his robotic heel. "Thank you, that will be most helpful! With this new discovery, I think we should get out of here as soon as possible...n-not that I'm afraid of something as simple as a robotic arm on an assembly line! I just think we're almost done here, that's all." It was easy to ignore them when he thought they couldn't think, but now that he knew they were at least self-aware...as he and Prixlezub made their way to the furnace to grab a fresh, cooled panel, he couldn't help but notice a few optics glancing in their direction.

He walked to the side of the assembly, hands at the ready to grab one side of the panel, body following it as it continued down the line. "On three, we'll both grab one end and lift it up! One..." His fingers clicked and whirred as they moved a bit closer. "Two..." He stuck his tongue out a bit as he focused. "Three!" The fingers dove underneath of the panel and lifted it up off of the assembly line.

The demon prince watched as Minion started to get uneasy, backing away from the red eyes of the assembly lines. Indeed, it could be unnerving to see that the arms were interested in what was being removed from their reach. To become intimidated however... "There is no need to fear these constructs, Minion. If they showed interest in harming you, they certainly would have done so by now... Look, they return to their duties the moment a new part is in their reach." The demon stated calmly, looking over the eyes as they soon returned to their work. "If this place showed malice towards you, I would sooner level it than allow them to leave a single scuff upon your frame." He added. The demon prince may be small in this form, but he certainly would return to his usual appearance. The factory may be experienced at building their robots, but he doubted that the assembly arms would be able to stand the wrath of a full size demon prince.

Prixlezub fluttered from his perch to the panel Minion stood by, his talons firmly grasping the metal. He waited as the fish to count down before lifting the panel with him, the metal rising effortlessly from the assembly line in the demon's grip. "We shall move this one to the door as well, perhaps prop it against the wall." The demon rumbled, glancing back at the many metal panels that continued to emerge from the furnace. "Shall we take more than this one, or are you confident with what you have already?"

The space fish had gathered quite a few parts in the short amount of time they were there, enough to make quite a few contraptions if they wanted. Once the panel was placed on the ground, the demon resumed looking over the factory, his fiery gaze watching as the robots followed the panel that left them. They seemed to just stare for a short moment, before returning to their work once more, but upon another look around, the demon noticed that a few eyes still looked up from their work stations, staring at the demon prince and his cloaked accomplice. Simply the result of old machinery, the demon pondered, or maybe they did indeed have some sense of self awareness. Prixlezub gave a thoughtful hum as he continued to observe, awaiting to see if Minion did indeed have enough parts.

One lone arm tilted its optic as it observed the strange floating parts drop themselves gingerly by the door. So, that is where the mechanical parts had gone off to. There was a silent chorus of chatter between the working robots, before coming to a conclusion.

    Whirrr....

One of the arms closest to the door turned and reached over to the pile of parts, its optic quickly looking over the stolen metal before plucking one up. Just as quickly it returned it to the assembly line, welding it to the chassis of a robot in progress. The arms were stealing your salvaged parts Minion! Look, it was turning around and going back to the pile for another!

The demon's calm demeanor helped a bit in calming Minion's worry, although like a persistent itch it seemed to linger. They were just robotic arms attached to a table, made for assembling and nothing else, what was the worst they could do? Yet, even as their optics turned away, Minion was uneasy. His fishy body seemed to shake a bit as he did his best impression of a nod in the water, more of a bob then anything. "Y-you're right. Still, I'll feel a lot better when we get back to the cave..." Although Prixlezub's insistence that any move from the robots would be stopped by him helped. Surely, he would melt them before they could ever hurt any of them.

"Thank you for that..." Although of course he wouldn't let harm become of Minion, he was still needed to work on the inside and sabotage the man who pretended to be Megamind. Still, by now, Minion was sure that he and the demon were a bit closer than just 'I need you alive for necessity'. Not that he wanted to go picking out curtains with Prixlezub or something, but they worked very well together, and for the things the demon was doing and had done, Minion felt that he owed him. If the demon ever wanted or needed his help in the future, all he would have to do is ask. ...Depending on the deed of course!

At the count of three, robot fingers and talons worked together to lift the panel, feeling quite light between the two of them! He glanced at the assembly line. "Hmm...I'd say maybe grab one more, just in case! You can never have too much metal to work with!" And if it was left behind in the caves, it was still a better fate than this infinite cycle of creation and destruction. Over by the door, the panel was placed, leaning against the wall. Minion looked over his find, trying to determine what else they would need. "I think one more panel and we'll be set!" His eyes happened to catch an optic though, and he looked over at the assembly line, watching the uncanny sight of several optics looking in his and Prixlezub's direction. Prixlezub seemed to notice too. But what he had said before was right, there was nothing that they could do to them! They were just robotic arms, there was nothing at all that these silly things could d-

DID THAT ONE JUST TAKE ONE OF HIS PARTS?! He stared, jaw dropping, as the arm took the pilfered part and attached it to a chassis! And it went in for another! "Hey, I stole that fair and square!" He charged forward and reached out with his arm, attempting to smack the robotic arm away from the pile and keep it from snatching yet another part.

"It is fine Minion." Prixlezub reassured, a watchful eye kept on the robots as they continued their work. "I do not blame you for wishing to return to the caves, the machinery can seem quite intimidating." The demon prince watched the working robots, finding their mannerisms quite strange given their role and use as constructs. What sort of man or machine would program such a factory to build so much and yet become defensive in nature once their parts had been removed, if only for a short while. Perhaps their creator truly was Portal X, or maybe they were simply an inventor who had not the time to ensure that the robots would stay left alone. Although, given their quickness to return to work, the demon figured that their programming had to be more simple than that...

His associate's voice broke the demon from his thoughts, looking over to where the space fish stood. So, he wished for one more panel? the demon certainly could oblige to that. There could never be too much preparation when it came to what they were planning. "I will retrieve the final panel for you, after that we should have all the parts we need." The demon stated, fluttering over to the assembly lines and landing on a lone, cooled panel. With nary an effort the demon prince clenched his talons around the edge and lifted, his powerful wing beats carrying the panel to join the first one.

It was then that the demon finally noticed the lone arm moving in for Minion's well scavenged parts. Before Prixlezub could utter a word of caution, it seemed Minion was well aware already, the prince watching as the fish jumped in and...

    CLANG!

The arm weaved heavily, the part it attempted to pilfer clattering to the ground. There was a dull whir as the arm retreated back, folding in on itself and shuttering its optic as if in shock. Something had dared to swat it aside, though as for what the arm could not figure exactly. There was no form in front of it, and its optics had not the capacity to see past what it was meant to see. Though as the fading echo of Minion's heavy slap resided, there was something else to note...

    the factory had gone silent.

    Whhiiiirrr....

All of the optics that had been previously focused on their work had paused, the assembly lines still running despite the lack of progress in the machinery. Instead of attending to their work, they had all turned to look at the offended assembly arm, their servos clattering as if in outrage. However, the arms were unable to see the offending party as well, their optics tuned to seeing what was apparent, tangible. However, there was one thing that a few eyes picked up on in the darkness of the factory. A cable, floating without a single support in the air. There was an uproar of mechanical clicking and whirring as the servos rotated quickly and and snapped like hungry maws. The welding arms flared bright flames from their tips, others spinning drills and revving bolt tensioners.

"Minion, I will take the parts and carry them out! Get to the door and return to the front!" The demon prince managed to shout over the overwhelming sound of outraged machinery. The demon shifted once more, his form taking on a more sturdy and powerful shape. In place of wings the demon had large, shoveled claws. Thick, dark scales extinguished the flames of his phoenix form, until he became something more akin to a creature found in the mountains than anything native to the desert. The darkness restored to the factory room, a pair of burning eyes peered out at the chattering machinations, their arms clamoring at the demon and his associate. Though a pair of something large and leathery spread wide, blocking the arms' view of the retreating fish and the door.

Once Minion was out of the room, Prixlezub quickly piled the parts onto the large panels, before tucking them against his chest and turning towards the door. He looked them over once, and already he surmised that both the doorway and the hall were too small for him. "Hrrgh..." The prince drew his head back, the shapes of thick horns visible against the red optics that burned ever closer behind him...

And yet the demon did not move.

At least the demon understood why he was intimidated by the robotic arms. No guffaws and dismissive claims of him just being a nannyfish here. He almost wondered if maybe Prixlezub was also intimidated, then realized how silly that sounded. After all, he was a powerful, strong demon. He wouldn't be afraid of a pair of optics looking at him 'funny'. He nodded once more to show he understood, watching for a moment as Prixlezub retrieved another panel for their work. They were so close to getting away, so close to being free...

But that was when that stray arm began to take what he had so rightfully claimed. Almost without thinking, he had charged, and slapped the arm away before it could grab another piece. The clang that sounded made Minion flinch back, although he worked quickly to take the nearly-pilfered part and put it back in the pile. He stood in front of the pile of parts defiantly, yet his face began to fall as he realized just how quiet it had gotten, not to mention the brief stupor of the supposedly non-sentient robotic arm. The other arms were looking at their slapped brother, making a series of clacking noises. The feeling that they were upset began to unnerve him, although thankfully he was still cloaked! Maybe they would chalk it up to a system malfunction? A few of the optics seemed to be looking right at him and as they began to whirr and clack, arms revealing hidden weaponry, Minion looked over his shoulder and groaned. The wire! They knew he was there!

His eyes snapped back to the demon, his voice carrying over the machinery, the command in his voice very clear. He stayed long enough only to see Prixlezub changing shape once more, a scaled creature with wings, before he headed his words and began to run through the door and down the dark hallway. His body whirred with the sudden urgency the body was forced to comply with. It had been pushed at a more leisurely pace before, and now it was being told to move fast, but the more he used it the more he began to get even more used to it, and see this new body as an extention of himself. He spared only a few glances back, worried about Prixlezub getting out yet realizing that he would be alright. He entered the main area they had been in prior, but didn't stop. Prixlezub told him to get to the front of the building, and there he would go. His brown eyes darted around wildly, wondering what would happen. There was nothing he could do now, but wait and see.

Close and closer the optics came to the demon prince, his claws holding the salvaged parts tightly. Before long there was a shimmer of heat and a bright white glow from the demon's mouth, sparks swirling between his curved teeth and now angular snout. With a quickly part of his jaws, a bright torrent of fire spewed forth. The door was incinerated instantly, but the demon did not dare press the fire further down the hall that lead to the main room of the tech dome. Instead, the prince lowered his head and charged forward, the dark scales now tinted crimson in the flare of light that accompanied the disguised demon's violent exit. Lights broke in a spray of sparks and shattered glass, a few wires tangling for a short moment in his horns before dropping away. An equally scaly tail swished behind him as he ran, the final door coming up with alarming speed. The demon's horned head swatted the door aside with a groan of protesting metal and the sharp sound of breaking bolts on the door hinges.

The hangar doors were still open, and wide enough for what the demon was about to attempt. With a snap of leathery membrane the demon unfurled his wings, crimson like the rest of his assumed form, save for the creamy underbelly. The prince did not stop to speak with the fish as he charged forward on his three remaining feet, ducking his head shove itself under and between Minion's legs. In the light, Minion may or may not have recognized the draconic form Prixlezub had chosen, the chaos still swirling strong as the demon's wings beat to gain altitude.

A familiar form? Perhaps so, but no one would suspect another citizen flying away from the tech dome with suspicious actions. Especially not Arro, the dragon was benevolent and amiable at best.

Once the demon was high enough in the clouds, he turned his head back to look at the space fish upon his back. "I apologize for the suddenness of your leave. Are you unharmed?" The demon inquired, looking over Minion's form to see if there was a dent or scrape upon the suit. While the demon had Arro's form, he did not choose to immitate the dragon's voice if there was no need for it. Though, after the demon made his observation, his gaze turned towards the sun. "Hm, it seemed we left at the right time, Megamind would have probably began his search in a short while." He noted idly.

A tilt of his wings and the demon gently banked towards the mountains. It was so peaceful up in the sky, hardly a sound besides the whipping wind passing the demon's ears. The disguised prince flew low enough to pass a few buzzards soaring on the thermals for the last time before they retired to their roost. After a few moments, the demon spoke once more, his eyes on the mountains that were now looming on the horizon. "Tonight, I suggest you rest, do not worry about building your creations until tomorrow. We have done plenty enough this day." He rumbled over the few beats of his wings.

Minion did not have to wait long to have an inkling on Prixlezub's condition. He was lingering by the front doors of the Tech Dome, pacing, when he had heard it: a loud, crashing noise from within the Tech Dome. With a small squeal, he brought his hands up to his chest and clasped them together, looking back where Prixlezub still was nervously. Was it Prixlezub? Was he fighting something? Did the Tech Dome have a security robot of some kind, and had that been making the noise?

He stared at the charging figure. He had not gotten a good look at Prixlezub's new form, although one of this dragon's arms was full with panels and the parts Minion had collected. This had to be Prixlezub! He continued charging in Minion's direction, Minion beginning to get antsy, when suddenly he brought his head down and between Minion's robotic legs, causing him to land on his head, then rolling down his neck to his back. "NYAAARGH!" He wrapped his arms around Prixlezub's scaly new body, looking it over. He did not recognize the form, and just chalked it up to a random draconic form.

In the sky they flew, and when Prixlezub turned his head to speak, it was definitely his voice that came out. He nodded shakily. "Its alright, and I'm fine. I see you managed to grab all of the parts, thank you!" Would be a shame for them to leave empty handed, after all of that work! He turned his gaze to the sun and nodded. "I'm glad we got out of that alright, and without detection by anything or anyone outside of the Tech Dome."

Above the skies they flew, Minion bobbing within his tank in a lethargic manner, lulled into a relaxed state from the flight. He smiled a bit when he saw the familiar sight of the mountains. Today had been something of an exciting day, but he would be glad to be back. "Thank you Mr. Prixlezub! Now that I think about it I am..." He paused and yawned, fins fluttering a bit as he did. "Pretty tired...I enjoyed going to the Tech Dome though. And I promise, it won't take me too long to build what we need! I'll get to work as fast as I can!" How funny it was, to think that they were that much closer to their goal.

The demon's flight steadily grew closer to the mountains, the smoothness of his wing beats belying the speed at which they traveled. Prixlezub's travel seemed to be made more relaxing by the silence that the atmosphere provided, as well as allowing the demon to hear the fish clearly. It certainly was a change from the din of machinery that was so keen on protecting their work. From what Minion stated, he seemed fine, if not a bit shaken up by the sudden departure from the Tech-Dome. Though whether that effected the fish's recognition of the demon's current form was arguable. However, the demon prince was not about to ask Minion about whether he had indeed met Arro or not, there was no such need for a topic after their excursion. Instead, the demon gave an affirming nod to the space fish.

"Good, good. I'm glad you are alright. It would have been a shame for something to happen right after you just regained your legs." The prince rumbled, his gaze kept forward. "With these, we will probably have a better advantage than we would have if we salvaged the older parts. The risk was certainly worth it in this case."

The disguised prince's brow ridge raised slightly at the yawn. It certainly seemed that Minion was tired from their little adventure to the wastelands. Though, to hear that the fish would indeed be working on his part of the scheme tomorrow sounded promising. Indeed, they needed to get to work now that everything was in place. To slow down now would be to allow the inventor to get closer to where they were hiding, if he had not found a trail already. To the fish's statement, Prixlezub gave a short hum of agreement. For now, the demon would let Minion rest a little from such an exciting day, and enjoy the rest of the flight in peace.

As long as he did not fall asleep and drop off the prince's back mid-flight, of course.
