    WEAPONS

    Name: Altered OSIPR (also known as an AR2)
    Type: Assault Rifle
    Appearance: This.
    Description: The Overwatch Standard Issue Pulse Rifle (OSIPR) is more commonly used by the collective forces of the Combine Overwatch. Usually, its a simple assault rifle, with a secondary fire that launches a Energy Ball capable of disentergrating almost anything it touches.

    Barney's gun, however, does not do that. Even if he found the appropriate ammo, the Energy shooter no longer functions. His OSIPR was altered by the combination of the aftershock from the Citadel exploding and the energies of the portal that opened to bring him to Portal Breach. Somehow, the gun has become fixed in time.

    To be more specific: It is partially frozen in the moment that it came through the portal. It still functions, it can still be moved through space, it can still affect other objections and organisms. But it cannot be destroyed, and it will never deteriorate with age.

    Specifics: 2 dice/2 coins - if only one coin hits, only 1/2 damage is dealt.

    Special: 1.) As soon as the clip is emptied, the gun resets itself back to its base state. Rather than having to manually load in a new clip, the original bullets reappear in the clip. They still cause damage, as normal, and the gun must still go through the motions of reloading, but the main effect is that no ammo is consumed, and thus wont run out.

    2.) Unlocked at Level 10: When the alternate fire is triggered, the gun temporarily extends its temporal bubble to include its weilder, partially reverting aformentioned weilder back to a previously uninjured state. (See lvl 10 power description)

    3.) The gun itself cannot be permanently damaged or destroyed. Even if it is broken to bits, melted, crushed, etc----after two turns the gun resets and reappears whole and unharmed.




    ARMOR/SHIELD

    Name: Civil Protection Standard Issue Uniform
    Type: Combat Vest
    Appearance: This, without the mask
    Description: When he went undercover with City 17's "police force", Barney was issued this uniform. Since kicking off the rebellion against the Combine in an attempt to rescue Eli Vance from the Citadel, he's held onto it, since free body armor's not something to sneeze at. Its made of padded cloth, over ceramics and kevlar to protect him from physical attacks. It doesn't do a whole lot of good against pure energy weapons, though.
    Specifics: Standard scaling armor. While its up, all physical attacks (guns, blades, blunt weapons, grenades, etc.) do 25% less damage (upgrading to 50% at lvl 30). No protection against purely energy based attacks.




    POWERS
    LEVEL 01

    Name: Make 'Em Count
    Description: From Black Mesa to City 17, if there was one thing that Barney learned, it was to make every shot count. Even if that shot happens to be a punch.
    Specifics: Accuracy Enchancer. Flip 2 coins/1 die.




    LEVEL 10

    Name: What's This Button Do?
    Description: His OSPIR's been sort of... weird... ever since he came through the portal into PB. Now, Barney's figured out that, in dire situations, he can use the alternate fire on the weapon to "reset" some of the damage he just took.
    Specifics: Activated Healing Ability. Can only be used if Barney has access to his gun. Activating this power will heal Barney for 1/4th his maxium health. Costs 5 AP, takes 5 turns to recharge. Cannot attack and heal in the same turn.

    Basically, I'm hoping this will give me a little more versatility, with a lower ap cost. The 1 coin/2 dice would be essentially the shooting-from-the-hip style of HL2, and I can use it in conjunction with his accuracy enhancer if I feel the need to be more accurate and do more damage. It just seemed like, at 9AP for 3 shots, averaging equivalent damage as three basic attacks was inefficient. In short, 1/2 hit = 1/2 damage, for the ap cost, wasn't terribly satisfying, and I'd like to see if I can tweak it.

    (I am, however, open to suggestions.)
