Between Impa's own strong opening, Sheik's single charged fire blast, and Chell's true arrow, the three companions had managed to get the moblin weak enough that one powerful dome of Din's Fire was all that was needed to take him down. As the inferno engulfed the moblin, he let out one last pained growl, signaling that he had been felled.

Despite the unexpected arrival of the monster and the slight frustration that came from some of his luck, with the finishing blow from her charge, Impa could not have been more proud. Not sensing any other foes in the immediate vicinity, she moved to clean and sheathe her Sheikah Blade, soon stepping forward towards the moblin, right as his form began to fade away.

Without meaning to, the trio had wound up getting caught by one of the monsters that roamed the grasslands, and as such, had found themselves in an even more practical training exercise than what they had initially set out for. Hopefully, the former test subject would not mind that battle too much… things could be rather unpredictable out here, but sometimes, that only added to the fun that could be had on any adventure.

Glancing between Sheik and Chell as the three of them converged on that spot, Impa nodded to both of them, stating, "I hope you're both all right."

Once she was able to confirm their status, the Sage of Shadow smiled to her charge, adding, "Sheik, that was a very impressive blast of Din's Fire for that finishing attack… very nicely done." Turning to look to the former test subject, Impa added, "Chell, I hope you didn't mind a surprise battle like that already… I suppose we got to have a round of even more practical training for you without actively seeking it. You did a fine job. … How did the crossbow feel in its first real combat test?"

    It hit.

Finally. Chell let out a breath she didn't realize she'd been holding when the arrow struck true, giving Sheik a nice opening to take the beast down once and for all with another fire attack. The former test subject narrowed her eyes suspiciously at the moblin as he went up in flames, not allowing herself to move even the tiniest bit until he had faded away completely, and she was absolutely sure he was gone for good. Despite the foe obviously being no match for the three of them together, she would take no chances.

Once the danger was no longer present, Chell stepped forward along with her friends, tentatively lowering her crossbow as she did so. Impa's question was enough to get a nod from her, but she seemed... unfocused, tense somehow, her eyes already trained on the horizon in the distance. Just what was that thing, anyway? Judging by their reaction and the way they had attacked, her friends seemed to be quite familiar with them, which was enough to make her feel at least a tad bit uneasy. Were there more out there? ...Possibly even in their general vicinity?

Well, best to cross that bridge when she came to it. That all-too familiar feeling of adrenaline was starting to wane, causing her to lean forward slightly as she got her bearings. She was pleased to hear Impa's compliments, and hadn't exactly minded the sudden brawl - it had just been surprising, was all, and it put her right back into a state of mind she hadn't experienced so severely in a very long time. In the end, she reminded herself, it was probably for the best - if she wanted to fight alongside citizens of the Breach, then the only way she could prepare herself for such a thing was to actually put herself in that kind of situation, like this. Straightening up at the Sheikah's next question, she let out another shaky breath and grinned slightly, giving her crossbow a grateful pat. She had missed, a lot, but the crossbow itself had performed smoothly and efficiently, just as she'd hoped. Even if she would still require a bit more practice before she was fully skilled, she could think of no better weapon to do it with.

Back to the monsters though... Chell bit her lip, scanning their surroundings again before turning back to her friends, fixing them with a look of upmost seriousness. Once she was sure she had their attention, she jabbed a finger back towards where the dying moblin had been, and immediately addressed the area around them with a large swoop of her arm before turning back to Impa and Sheik with a shrug. She was wondering if they thought they would wind up running into more, though she was fully prepared to fetch her notepad from her bag (Which had been abandoned on the ground when the beast had attacked) if need be.

Sheik couldn't help but slowly grin as she saw that her latest blast of Din's Fire had hit its mark true… with a mighty growl serving as the death knell of this moblin, the monster soon fell and faded away.

Only once Impa cleaned and resheathed her Sheikah Blade did the disguised princess relax her own posture, moving to stand up straight again as she glanced about the battlefield. Save the initial hit that her guardian had taken, the three of them had come out of that battle just fine, and it did not appear that any other moblins were wandering about the immediate area. At Impa's question, Sheik turned to her and nodded, stating. "I'm fine, Impa… are you okay from where he hit you?"

At Impa's compliment of her finishing blow, Sheik's grin broadened right before she nodded to her, noting, "Thank you! I'd thought that by combining three charged blasts of Din's Fire, I might be able to form more of a projectile version of the dome… it worked even better than I had hoped it would!"

Sheik might have already mastered Din's Fire at least twice over, but she was always happy to be able to find and create new ways to use it. The disguised princess looked down to her right hand for a moment, her own smile still evident before she looked up to Chell as Impa addressed the former test subject. Their general training seemed to have already turned into a more active example of such, but despite some early misses, their friend did seem to think that the crossbow had already served her well in battle.

That did not seem to the the only thing on her mind, though… at catching Chell's concerned look and ensuing questioning gestures, Sheik exchanged a glance with Impa as the two thought on how to best answer her. Once she received a nod from her guardian, the disguised princess looked back to their friend, stating, "That was a moblin, a monster from Hyrule… I'm not sure if we'll run into any more of them exactly, but… there are always random monsters roaming about. They're not necessarily common enough to worry about too much, but they are out in the wilderness." Hopefully, this encounter would not deter Chell from venturing further out into the grasslands… Sheik doubted that it would, but she did hope that she and Impa could help ease their friend's mind.

"I'm just fine, Sheik… thank you," replied Impa, nodding to her charge and smiling warmly at her concern. Whilst she knew that the disguised princess was more aware than anyone of just what all damage she could weather, the Sheikah still certainly appreciated her question. At Sheik's enthusiastic response to her praise, Impa's own smile grew as she added, "I saw that… it seems that our training has paid off even more than we might have realized. I do believe that that attack would have done the Goddess of Power proud."

As everyone got their bearings back from the sudden battle, Impa glanced to Chell, noting that the woman seemed to have been caught a little off guard by the forced combat. However, despite her surprise at it, there was something else in the former test subject's eyes, something beyond the tense expression she wore now… something lingering from the look of intense focus that she had adopted the instant that the moblin had charged them. Impa knew that Chell had experienced battle before… that much she had gleaned from just getting to know her friend as well as from very subtle cues their previous conversations, even some from before today. She might not have known the exact situations that the former test subject had been in, and of course had never felt it her place to ask, but that sort of focus was something that was honed outside of simple practice. No, Chell was used to adrenaline coursing through her, used to relying on quick reflexes… used to making sure that she was the last one standing.

No matter the situation or world she had come from though, Impa felt that the former test subject might now be able to turn those instincts into something very positive even outside of combat. If nothing else, aside from giving her the crossbow to utilize in such, perhaps she could help her to even better act with the reflexes that seemed to be ingrained in her… it was certainly worth a try. Maybe then, that might be just one more thing to help her friend adjust even better to her still newer life here.

Returning Chell's slight grin with a smile of her own, Impa nodded to her as she patted the crossbow. "I'm glad. Some more practice might help you out, but that weapon definitely seemed to suit you there."

As Chell looked back over the horizon and moved to greet the two of them with a questioning look and gesture, Impa soon met Sheik with a shared glance of their own. They both seemed to be thinking the same thing, and afar a moment, the Sage of Shadow nodded to her charge, indicating that she could speak first. As the disguised princess replied to the former test subject, Impa's gaze soon drifted back to Chell, hoping that their words would help her here.

"Monsters and other beasts seem to arrive here in much the same way that individuals and locations do, and the same as those, there is no true pattern to their arrival or appearance," explained Impa once Sheik had hit a perfect pause. Motioning towards the rolling hills just past them, the Sheikah added, "In our time here thus far, we have encountered several of them, some familiar to us, and some very foreign… however, regardless as to whether we recognized any of them or not, facing any of them has always proven to be a good way to restore strength lost."

Letting that idea settle for a few moments, Impa waited to see how Chell might react to that idea before noting, "Now, that said.. we can either return to the city now, or press on and explore the grasslands some more around this training, whether we happen to come across more monsters or not. The choice is yours, Chell… Sheik and I are happy for either option."

A moblin, huh? The former test subject cocked an eyebrow at her friend, pressing her lips into a thin, thoughtful line. Well, this definitely explained how the two of them seemed to instinctively know how to defeat the thing--on top of the two simply being skilled fighters, the beast had apparently come from the same world as them. Oddly coincidental, but she certainly wasn't about to complain. Each day, she seemed to learn more and more about how this world worked, and although it was definitely perplexing at times, she didn't question this particular fact too much. All that truly mattered here was that she and her companions were okay, and despite the creature evading their blows a couple of more times than she would have liked, she thought they had all fought pretty admirably. Especially considering that for her, personally? ...It had been a while.

Chell went on to listen to what the two had to say in response to her silent question, and it seemed there were indeed most likely quite a few more monsters out there, which she acknowledged with a slow nod. Sheik definitely hadn't been kidding around earlier... not that she had ever assumed that of him, but still. Drumming her fingers over her crossbow, she found herself almost subconsciously scanning the fields again, almost as if she was expecting another enemy to pop out of thin air. She wasn't really frightened--on edge and curious, was more like it--but she still didn't want to let her guard down here. Letting your guard down made you as good as dead where she had come from.

Impa's comment about the battles proving to be a good way to "restore strength lost" seemed to snap her out of it, however, and she met the Sheikah with slightly widened eyes as the realization of what she meant dawned on her. She had been feeling weaker since arriving here... not in a dramatically different sense, as her time spent as a nomad back in her own world had left her much weaker than she had been back at the facility, but she could tell she was more than a little out of shape. As much of a surprise as this attack in particular might have been, her friend was right in that they could certainly aid her in a practical sense. Brows furrowing, she considered her friend's next offer for a moment--were they going to keep at this practice session, or simply head on home? But only for a moment.

Unsurprisingly, the first option won out. In fact, it won out by a landslide. The former test subject was still, understandably, pent-up as hell, and after a month spent indoors, there was no way she was going home now, monsters or no monsters. Flashing her friend's a light smirk, Chell retrieved her rucksack and swung her crossbow back over her shoulder, confirming her decision with a stomp of her boot against the ground beneath her. She was ready to move on.

Chell thankfully did not seem too thrown off by the sudden appearance of the moblin, given that not only had it been defeated, but at least it had been a monster from their own homeworld of Hyrule. Sheik could not help but notice how the former test subject got lost in her thoughts for a while over this new information, but she hoped that despite the surprise encounter, their outing would not be marred in the slightest. Impa's mention of battles helping to restore the strength that one had lost on the trip to the Breach seemed to snap Chell back to the present though, and as she seemed to be sorting this out for herself, her guardian offered two possible options. Whether they returned to the city or continued on, Sheik was fine for either… although she was admittedly a bit excited once the former test subject gave the signal that she was set to move on.

    And move on they did.

The three friends walked for a little while longer, but even though they were all enjoying the temporary peace that was found around this impromptu exploration, the disguised princess could not help but wonder if, or rather, when they might run into another monster. At this rate, the better question really was what would they run into next?

With a glance to Impa, Sheik noticed her guardian's red gaze harden as she seemed to pick up another sense. It appeared that it was time for their next battle… and no matter what they were set to face off against, the disguised princess was ready.

Unlike the mighty lumbering of the moblin from earlier, the approaching footfall was far more swift, far more nimble, and doubled… no, these two beasties were not about to be caught one on one. Oh no, they were too clever for that! They traveled in twos! Whether they prowled about their territory or dropped down to surprise unsuspecting interlopers, they were some of the quickest and trickiest foes to battle! And from the look of things… they were set to get the drop on three new visitors!

It was time! Their swords were brandished! Time to charge forward!

    "WHEH! WHEHH!"

Whilst the first of the two led the charge against the tallest of the trio in front of them, the second hopped about, trying to get a far better vantage point. Perhaps on the younger one! Oh yes, yes indeed! They would soon feel the mighty of the Lizalfos!

"Keep your guard up… it looks like it's time for our next encounter," warned Impa, quickly glancing to both Sheik and Chell before she shifted her red gaze forward. Just over the horizon, she saw two swiftly approaching figures, both of them moving with a familiar gait, and more than that, a familiar form… the Sheikah almost instantly recognized their next foes for what they were. Lizalfos… the lizard warriors from Hyrule.

The two Lizalfos charged them, hopping about as they did, their swords brandished and set to attack. Impa drew her own Sheikah blade, set to stand against them, and as she sized them up, she tossed a knowing nod to Sheik. Once her charge returned it, she glanced to Chell, making careful use of the their swiftly diminishing time and stating, "Chell, these monsters are Lizalfos… they are also from Hyrule. Keep your guard up when they jump forward, and watch them carefully. They move very fast and can readily block, so strike when they are trying to build up their own attack."

At that, Impa dashed forward to intercept the first Lizalfos, right before she disappeared from sight, completely dodging his attempted strike. She suddenly reappeared behind him, soon unleashing three quick slashes with her blade.

And on they went. Whether or not they encountered anymore monsters, Chell found she was simply enjoying being outside with her companions, especially on such an admittedly gorgeous day. The fresh air and relative quiet was already doing wonders for her mood, and despite the unexpected fight earlier, she found herself feeling considerably more relaxed as she took in the scenery of the grasslands. Her guard was still up, of course, but it was admittedly nice to take in some place new--honestly, why hadn't she been out here before?

The lovely but brief moment of calm was about to be cut short, however, as Impa seemed to have spotted their next target--or targets, as it seemed. The former test subject came to an abrupt stop at her friend's warning, narrowing her eyes at the quickly approaching figures on the horizon before pulling her crossbow back into position. From what she could see, they looked like giant lizards with swords, and frankly, she wasn't sure if that was better or worse than the moblin they had encountered before. Glancing to Impa, she listened carefully as the Sheikah described what they were up against--more Hyrulean monsters, huh?--and gave her friend a sharp nod once she had finished. Lizalfos, jumpy things, strike before they could even manage striking you. Got it. Peeling herself away from the cluster the little group seemed to have formed, Chell drew back the bow string on her weapon, body tense with anticipation. This time...this time, she felt ready.

The Lizalfos were upon them in short order, one of them immediately going for Impa... a bad move in itself, as the Sheikah disappeared from sight before it could even touch her. Deciding her friend had that one handled for now, Chell set her sights on the second beast, who, from the looks of things, was gearing up for an attack on Sheik. Oho, not on her watch. Working fast, the former test subject decided to try for a different sort of attack this time--setting up two arrows to fire in quick succession in the hopes of strengthening her attack. Considering how quickly these things moved, she was taking no chances. Scowling, she aimed her weapon at the neck of the second Lizalfos, and touched the trigger again.

Sheik was ready to fight the instant Impa tensed up, and as her guardian focused on the two swiftly approaching Lizalfos, she drew her chain, soon getting it set in a defensive position. Taking a deep breath, the disguised princess sized up the two monsters, soon narrowing her red gaze at them. She thankfully had some experience with the lizard monsters back in Hyrule, and she sincerely hoped that some of the strength she had recovered here would enable her to fare well against them. It had already helped her against the Moblin, and now she was set to use her own speed even better against the Lizalfos.

As the first monster charged Impa with a wide miss, only to be met with a sharp knife strike from behind, Sheik tracked the second one's movements. She allowed herself a slight grin at catching the good shot that Chell landed against its neck, and once that Lizalfos was stunned from the attack, the disguised princess saw her opening.

Dashing forward at the second Lizalfos, Sheik whipped her chain out, trying to both whip the monster as well as catch its arm in the metal links. Hopefully, the arrow fired by Chell would help her get a slight edge in this attempt… if nothing else, the foes would still find his jumping pattern altered by her own attack.

    "WHEH!!"

That smarted! The first Lizalfos soon found himself without a target, and quickly hurt from behind! With that sharp blade! Wow, that Sheikah woman was fast! Even faster that his own reptilian self! And that was impressive, for in the world of monsters, Lizalfos were swift and hard to hit! He would most certainly make her pay for that though! With a quick hop and turn around, the first monster tried to catch sight of the tallest of the three people here. Ah, there she was! You would be his, armored woman!

    "WHEH! WHEHH!"

A couple of short hops later, and the first Lizalfos slashed at the Sheikah woman again. Take THAT!

    "WHEHHH?!"

The second Lizalfos fared even worse than the first one, and he had not even rushed to the first attack! Now here he stood with an arrow sticking out of his neck of all things, and he had been summarily hit with a strong metal chain! And had his arm caught in it! He couldn't swing his sword properly like this! No, no! He had to get it free! But that small spawn still held on… well, time to take matters into his own claws!

    "WHEHH!"

A mighty exclamation later, and the second Lizalfos quickly swung his right arm downward in an attempt to knock the young Sheikah off his feet and send him to the ground in a heap. He WOULD be free to use his blade again! No one could stand against the might of the speedy Lizalfos!
