Link blinked when the door creaked open the jolted in surprise when the owner of the ominously glowing red eyes jumped out at them.

    "Gwa!" he cried out.
"Hgggnkkkk!" snorted his pet pig, who had be sniffing the edge of the door curiously and now flailed, found it difficult to turn around on the porch now packed with costumed kids and a vampire robot and promptly stuffed its snout into the hems of the younger Link's robes as an attempt to hide.

"Aa!" It's Lawrence! He turned and shared a grin with the other children before chuckling alongside them. "Hahahaha." Great costume! He never would have thought him the type to dress up. He'd imagine Jo might but Lawrence? The possibility never even occured to him so it was an extra pleasant surprise to find that he did and so well too with lines to go with it!

This Link waved his Trick or Treat message at the faux-energy sucker whilst his other hand tugged on Ganon's furry mane-cape to extract him from the younger Link's robe ends. Come on now, don't squeal. Turn around. good piggy. OH! CANDY! What? One? Only.... one? Well, better than none, he suppose!

The boy smiled his thanks to Lawrence before plunging his hand into the bowl, fishing around for the best sweet. Too pink, too blue, small, large (don't want to appear greedy now), purple, foil? Nah... Oh! This one looked promising!

He extracted his hand, waved the sweet by the ends of its wrapper in thanks before plopping into his treat bag.

"Aa," Link greeted, waving to Jo with one hand, his Trick Or Treat sign in the other and nudging the mini-mini-Prix to snort a greeting (it did but seemingly more directed to Jo's knees as it put one trotter into the house, leant forward and sniffed the woman's multicoloured legwarmers).

And along came a really tall blue-skirted la....ZURG? Link's mouth dropped open, lifting his mask just to make sure he was seeing things correctly. If he hadn't imagined Lawrence dressing up, he certainly didn't imagine Zurg! In a skirt and stockings to add to that. The innkeeper blinked, realised he was staring. Well Zurg wear robes and long skirts so perhaps he just like the freedom of shorter skirts at when at home/ during festivities? Link gave him the thumbs up. Good costume nonetheless! The surprise alone was mass point giving enough. And it looked like Ganon wasn't the only pet in town dressed up for the night. He wondered how Zurg got Homo to stay in the basket so calmly...

Link nodded along to Impa's words, knowing that all three of the younger Hyruleans were thinking and agreeing with what she said. Glad to see you all, hopefully we can meet again soon. Yes yes. He pushed his pet off the porch, gave them one last smile and pulled his mask back over his face.

"Aa!" he cried, waving his goodbyes then "UWAAA!"

NO NO NO! GANON! OFF the lawn! There, back to the street! Let's go! Time to helpfully relieve other homes of their candy now.

If Lawrence were capable of blushing, he might have done that slightly. But he couldn't, so he would just have to settle for conveying his emotions across through speech, as usual. "Ah, well, thank you all. It was a spur of the moment idea, really. I had a few other ideas, but none of them truly felt right for the occasion . . . that and nothing says 'I no longer fear you' quite as well as dressing up as your enemy. I do have to admit that the cape is nice . . . my systems don't have to work as hard to keep warm while I'm wearing this."

The group certainly didn't have all night to stick around, they had more houses to go to, and more candy to get. Lawrence waved goodbye as they turned to leave, glad to have gotten the chance to see them all. "Yes, it was nice to see all of you tonight as well; we will have to socialize a bit more at some other time. I hope the rest of this 'trick-or-treating' goes just as smoothly for you as this visit; have a good night!"

Ha! You hear that, Big Z? Impa would trust Jo with the three little darlings~! "I'm really glad you all decided to come out and visit!" the mechanic continued to smile. It was neat seeing all the various cultures that people put into their costumes, too! Jo would have liked to fashion something from back home, but dressing up as a sleazy seller or illegal weapons dealer just wasn't her style. But the compliments to Jo's simple costume were nice, and the mechanic kept her modesty. "Yep, I'm a scarecrow. Big Z is apparently a country girl~! We go pretty well together with Count Suckula, too." C'mon, Big Z; put a smile on that rustic face of yours! You looked cute in pigtails and bows~! Your ruby-red slippers, however... Well, you know what they say: can't have it all. Jo idly messed with Big Z's ruffles and gave Homo a good scratch behind her bonnet-covered ears. "Bye, and Happy Halloween!" she waved. Such nice little kids... And hey! What do you mean she says that to every kid she sees? She didn't say that she wanted to adopt you, ha!

While Impa and the children walked away to the next house, Jo watched the aptly-named Porklezub trot off into the lawn. "Looks like someone else appreciates your manicured garden as well, Big Z." Oops! Hope the little porker doesn't eat Big Z's prized petunias.

See, Jo? They liked his costume. Or... they just didn't want to be rude and point out a case of mistaken gender identity. Either way, they liked his costume and Zurg could breathe easy. You know, he sometimes wondered if Jo purchased the wrong getup on purpose. Oh, how the universe mocks him so! Alas, the monarch allowed those who wanted to offer tribute of scratchies to Empurress Homo, and the alien tried his hardest not to snort as Jo got his costume wrong. "I believe that I am Dorothy," he corrected. Dorothy, Zurg; eh, close enough. But, yes. They went pretty well with Mini-NOS, there~! "So long as the Count doesn't think about draining X'ki, tonight should be a rather peaceful time." And so, with knees exposed for once and elbows out for all to see, Zurg wore the usual stoic demeanour and calmly saw everyone off their porch. "Goodbye and goodnight," he said with a small wave. "Have a safe Halloween." Oh, and as an aside... You couldn't handle adopting him, Jo~!

    Mini-Prixlezub wrote:"UWAAA!"
Oh, boy... Zurg spotted Porklezub go off onto the lawn. "..." Okay, time for a little fun. The monarch opened his basket's lid and made a sharp clicking noise from inside his mouth. Thrice this was repeated in quick succession, and guess whose eyes dilated just as big?

    "MROOOOW!"

    Homo's...

Off the cat went, darling bonnet and everything, Homo leaping and bounding after the plump piece of bacon. She wasn't going to skewer Porklezub alive, of course, but she was certainly going to chase him off. This was her patch of dirt, you got that!? Good, because as soon as Link's pig was fully away and off the lawn, Homo leaped onto a lit pumpkin and squinted. She was watching you, pig... She was watching you all.

    Happy (belated) Halloween!

"The cape suits you, Lawrence," said Sheik grinning to him despite the fact that her smile was currently hidden by her mask. That smile lingered at the exchange between Jo and Zurg... Dorothy, huh? She might have to check out whatever story this character was from in the near future. If it worked out as well, Sheik also knew that they would also have to come by and visit another time once it worked out for both parties.

As the time came to continue on to the next house, the diguised princess waved to Lawrence, Jo, and Zurg, calling, "Thanks! You all have a great Halloween too!"

At that, the quartet left with the three kids leading the way as Impa nodded her own goodbyes to their friends. Sheik couldn't help but laugh a little as Homo chased Ganon off of the lawn, and she soon turned round to see the bonnet and bow-wearing cat perched on top a nearby jack-o-lantern, narrowing her feline gaze at them. Glowing eyes and all, Sheik just waved to her again, saying, "Don't worry Homo, we'll keep him off for you." Sharing a quick laugh with the future Link, she and he recaught their position with the younger Link.

From there, the group made their way through more of the neighborhood, stopping at each house to obtain more candy and wish the residents a very Happy Halloween. They had got to see all sorts of amazing decorations and even more creative costumes as they visited each house, and whether they directly knew each person or not, everyone seemed to be having a good time all around. Zelda's glowing eye trick had thrown off more than a couple of people at some of the houses, but in the end they seemed to be amused by it and just even happier that the three children in Impa's charge were having such a fun night so far. It had already exceeded last year's level of fun, and that was saying something, since the disguised princess had absolutely loved the time they had on the previous Halloween!

From their current position, if Zelda remembered correctly, one of their next stops was Tally's apartment. Glancing up through the eyeholes of her helmet, she saw it coming up next on their path, and she soon glanced to both of the Links, stating, "It looks like we get to visit Tally next, and some of the residents on the way to her place."

The younger of the Links waited for them by the pavement, smiling bemusedly at the small chase of the pig off the lawns. When his fellow trick or treaters finally joined him, Link waved at the residents of Lawrence, Jo and Zurg. He felt only slightly unnerved by Homo's watching them from behind as they made their way down the street and felt for the next children to come alone this street next as they brave the cat's stare to get their candy.

They made their way from door to door, treat bag getting fuller with each house (with its filling up speed only slowed down a tiniest of the bit by them - namely the older Link - stealing the occasional bite). Finally, they reached the apartment complex and this Link turned to his friends, one eyebrow raised. He knew they had discussed about visiting the complex already and had decided that they'll knock on each door as if it was a street of houses but...

"The lights are off for a lot of the rooms," noted Tatl aloud. "I guess people are out partying as well."

"We could make note of which rooms have lights here," the Hero of Time suggested and his older lookalike promptly tapped his fist into his palm - customary pose of an idea dawning on him - and just as promptly handed the younger one his digiglass before he could even suggest he use the back of his Bombers' notebook.

Nodding his thanks, Link quickly drew out a vague outline of the building and marking the places where there was light. Da-da-da-daaaaaaaaaaaaaa! You got the dungeon complex map!

Tatl flew on ahead, whizzing up the stairs, "Third floor, come on! Hurry up!"

Impa laughed a bit at the exchange between Homo and Ganon, right before continuing on up the way with her three young charges. Several houses (and many more handfuls of candy for Zelda, Link, and Link) later found them all at the front of the Interface Apartment Complex. The Sheikah looked up towards the building, wondering if Tally was in for the night or if she was out and about elsewhere. Regardless, she could not help but smile as the Link from her time suggested noting which rooms had their lights on so that they could determine their next stops. She had thought about the same herself before it had been voiced, but she had fully trusted the three to figure out the best course of action on their own.

The apartment complex itself had not been decorated to as grand a level as the houses in the surrounding neighborhood, but the same could not be said for most of the doors that they could see from their current vantage point. Decorations ranging from paper bats to black and orange streamers all the way to detailed graphics and cleverly crafted jack-o-lanterns adorned the halls as the residents of the apartment complex had really outdone themselves in getting their homes set for the holiday. Whether many of its residents were home or not, the Interface Apartment Complex was worth visiting for its own unique decorations alone.

As Tatl flew on ahead and set the path for them, Impa nodded to the three children before moving to follow them up the steps that led to Tally's apartment. The trio managed to get some candy from a couple of the doors on the way to the fighter's place, and once they were set by her door, Impa stood to the side again, watching as Zelda moved to ring the doorbell of Tally's apartment. The future Link had his "Trick or Treat" sign set once again, so now all they had to do was wait for Tally to come to the door. The Sheikah hoped that she was enjoying her own Halloween night thus far, and that their visit might be a nice surprise to her evening.

As a matter of fact, Tally was indeed home. Why you might ask? Why was she home when it was Halloween? Was she honestly not taking Ttone trick or treating? Well, to answer your questions, you nosy nobbies, Tally was currently serving candy. And Ttone was, at that moment, with Sonia. The two had gone on ahead after Ttones outfit had been finished, Tally had stayed behind to hand out a few things of candy before she moved on to catch up with them. Actually, she was going to go now if she could.

And then someone rang the doorbell.

    Dammit.

Grabbing the candy bowl Tally opened the door, expecting the normal group of unknown children. What a surprise though, it appeared to be someone that she knew.

Oh, hey you guys, having a happy Halloween?

Tally! So this was where Tally lived! "Aa!" Link responded, waving his Trick or Treat sign a bit more enthusiastically - whether it was a wave hello or an attempt to turn the words on the sign into a bold, underline, italic and capitalised effect was unknown.

Having a happy Halloween? Link chuckled, nodded before pointing proudly to the treat bag dangling in his hands. Whilst the amount of candy in the bag was not directly proportional to the how happy a Halloween could be, it was certainly an added bonus. Just seeing all their friends was the true bar to judge the happiness level. The more friends they see, the happyier the Halloween night was.

    ...

Er....that doesn't mean candy should be forgotten though!

Ganon the pig, instead, showed his enthusiasm by slumping over by their feet. First they made him trek down countless streets, then he got chased by a cat and now he had to scale flights of stairs. No mooooore! The pig scratched a trotter on his owner's ankle, demanding to be carried but otherwise remained still on the ground like a good porky Prixlezub footrest.

And there was the door with Tally right behind it!

"Trick or Treat!" echoed Sheik along with the Link from her time as the older Link enthusiastically waved his sign. Once their trademark greeting for the holiday was finished, she lifted the mask of her helmet to smile to Tally, nodding to her at her question before replying, "Hey Tally! Yeah, we are, and we hope you are too."

Sheik didn't know Tally as well as either of the Links did just yet, but she had still been around her enough in passing that she was extra glad to get to see her tonight. The fighter seemed as though she as about set to head out on her own, so hopefully they hadn't delayed her with their timing in dropping by her apartment. Regardless, at least she seemed glad to see them too!

The sudden antics of Ganon did amuse the disguised princess, and she started to wonder if perhaps they should have left the pig back at the warm in… but at the same time, he'd enjoyed some of the night so far, and the exercise was likely very good for him. Whether he was carried or not, hopefully they'd be able to see to it that he enjoyed the evening to at least a fraction of what they were enjoying of it so far.

"Trick or Treat!" The words were out of his mouth before he recognised who it was. "Tally! Hello! Yes, we are. What about you and Ttone?"

Link looked down from Tally's face, glancing to either side of the woman fully expecting a little girl to come into view and when none came forth, he flicked his eyes back up to Tally's face, noting that she seemed dressed for going outside. Did they come at a bad time?

"Are you taking her trick or treating as well?" he asked next. It seemed like something Tally would do, at least just around the building if not the nearby streets. Not sure if where exactly they're going (or if they're going at all), he felt like it would be good to volunteer some trick or treating information. "If you're going to Jo's street, Homo is glaring at people from the garden."

"Because somebody let their pet pig wander into said garden," muttered Tatl. Honestly, she could see bringing fairies along for this trip because they could at least help illuminate the way for the parts the street lights can't reach but a pig? Dressed in red and wearing fake horns? Well, Ganon was getting a rounder than usual so she suppose it was a good excuse for exercise.

Tally gave a small wave to Link, the first Link that spoke to her that was, the one that didn't talk. Or at least she thought he was the one that didn't talk. She was pretty sure anyways. Ah, no, she was right. He was the Link that didn't talk. How did she know? Because the other one just said something to her.

Right, now she had just about everyone sorted out.

Link that couldn't talk and ran the Inn.

Link that could talk and had been a junior officer.

A child that she didn't recognized.

      And Impa.

    Oh, and a pig....huh

Ttone is out with Sonia trick or treating. I was actually just leaving to go and find them. Tally explained, and then promptly put the entire bowl of candy into the hands of the child she didn't recognize.

Don't fight over that you guys. Closing the door behind her she locked it and tucked the key into her pocket. She'd head out unless any of them had anything else to say to her.

"Hello, Tally," said Impa, nodding a greeting to her fellow warrior after the "Trick-or-Treat" one from her three charges. The fact that the three of them still had such enthusiasm was enough to make her slight smile grow a bit, and it didn't hurt that it was nice to be able to catch Tally outside of the Sanctuary. The world of the Breach certainly had a way of keeping everyone busy even in between battles for the world… that much was certain…

The Sheikah nodded again as Tally explained where Sonia and Ttone had gone, right before explaining that she had been just about to go join them. Now that made perfect sense… she had looked rather set to go out, but at least their group had caught her at JUST the right moment. It certainly seemed to work out perfectly for both parties.

"Ah, I see," stated Impa at Tally's explanation. "I'm glad we got to catch you though, even just briefly."

Laughing softly at the sudden surprise that Sheik, Link, and Link now wore at finding themselves in possession of the entire candy bowl's contents (or for the two young heroes, at seeing it now in the hands of the disguised princess), Impa nodded to Tally again as she and the group got set to head off on their own ways. "You take care, Tally. Wish Sonia and Ttone our best, and you all have a great Halloween."

    A. Whole. Bowl. Of. CANDY!

Link slowly lifted his mask in disbelief. A. WHOLE. BOWL. His hand reached out, touching the rim of the bowl to check he wasn't dreaming. Seriously! A WHOLE BOWL!

"Aa!" Link called his thanks and goodbye in one syllable after the retreating figure of Tally. A whole bowl! WOW! How many pieces of candy was that? How should they even it out? First hand in first serve? Right right, let's settle this like good children with excellent puzzle solving brains. Open your bags and five for you, five for you, five for me, continue distributing until the bowl is empty.

There we go, all gone. Er...what do they do with the bowl now then? Leave it on Tally's doorstep? Bring it with them? Can it fit into the letterbox? Should they bring it home, wash and return it tomorrow? That sounds more polite than leaving it here like a litter bug. Let's bring it then, here, into Link's treat bag it went.

He smiled at the others then bent down and nudged Ganon to stand up a little. The pig snorted in protest until it figured out that Link was trying to wrap his hands around him. With a surprised oink, his pet was heaved up into the air above Link's head.

"Sqqqqquuuuurrr" squeaked the animal then with a mock look of concentration, the innkeeper lowered his stance, eyes flicked to the left and right at his friends and one leg tucked behind almost as if...

The pig snorted again and Link was OFF! Charging down the stairs with pig aloft. Race to the bottom! Race to the bottom! Leaping down the stairs at a dangerous and foolish speed, Link erupted into laughter, hearing his friends flow behind him. Of course with pig in tow, he was nowhere near capable in winning the race but it was a breathless bit of added fun in an already fun night.

Sheik nodded at Tally's answer, inwardly feeling relieved that they had caught her just in the nick of time instead of at a bad time. She didn't know Tally as well as Impa or either of the Links did, but she was still glad that the fighter was able to get the chance to head out and have a fun Halloween of her own. Whether someone went out for the evening or stayed home, she felt that everyone deserved to have a very happy Halloween. Hopefully, Tally would be able to have her own as she and their own group parted ways.

Suppressing a laugh at Link and Tatl's warning for Jo and Zurg's house, Sheik added, "All right. I hope you all have fun!"

No sooner had Sheik stated that though than had Tally proceeded to set the entire bowl of candy in her hands. She blinked in surprise at her words, soon glancing up to the fighter as she moved to lock the door. Wow… she guessed it made sense because Tally was heading out, but that had still been one big surprise! "Ah, thanks Tally! Happy Halloween!"

As the two parties split ways, the three kids went about very quickly distributing the candy. Once that task was taken care of, the older Link hoisted Ganon up, and with one very quick look to his friends, was soon off in yet another of his random races. Sheik laughed and nodded to the Link from her time before she charged ahead, her run in this costume rather befitting of the guardians of old. As she followed after her friend laughing much of the way, the Hyruleans were once again off to the next stop.
