Well it looked like Aicara had up and missed the swimming time season down at the ocean. How disappointing! Because of all that icky dangerous Blue Stuff, she had just squirreled away in the graveyard and sometimes even thinking about refuge within the Shadow Temple. Though it hadn't had to come to hiding within that...creepy...scary...monster filled place. Just thinking about it made her shudder visibly. But that wasn't why she was at the ocean today. The young shiekah girl was combing the coast, the beach for something special for a project she was working on.

    Sea-Shell Decorations.

The decorations in question she hadn't really figured what they would be exactly, but she knew she absolutely needed to have seas-seashells for it. Maybe flowers, though she could go some place special for that. maybe into the stinky city or up near the mountains. Exploring was fun, she just loved it so! So there Aicara was, walking along the sandy beach, two baskets in hand. One contained fruits, a canteen of water and a blanket and the other was empty the perfect thing collecting things along the beach. She was garbed in her long tunic, rather than the summer attire she had fashioned, seeing as it was getting colder and the weather less that desirable. Then again if she did wait it would just get so much worst! Gran and bear it, things didn't get down unless you got them done. Right? Yes exactly.

Aicara turned her attention back down to the beach, looking for perfect shells, though it was a bit harder than expected. And she was starting to get a little hunger. Maybe it was time for lunch. No, no, not yet! Maybe if she looked for a little longer.

    Grrrrrrrrrrnnngbl.

She stopped immediately, ears moving upwards in surprise at her stomach's adamant need for food. Well that could've been embarrassing if someone had heard. This was probably why she should have eaten more for breakfast...Well it could wait just a tiny bit more because she just had to explore.

Whilst Sheik had been able to enjoy quite a lot of swimming in the ocean this summer with Link and Link as well as Impa, she was a bit sad that they had not had the proper chance to close out some of the season on the beach due to the Phazon crisis. The numerous times they had spent out here had been amazing and she was very grateful for them, but on a small level, it was something of a shame that her first time back to the sea was after autumn had started to edge in. That simply meant that the Hyrulean kids would have to seek out an indoor pool at some point, and for anything relating to the sea, look at taking a boat out. As much as she enjoyed swimming and sailing though, the disguised princess had packed up some sandwiches and ventured out to the coastline today simply to explore it again. After all, even without the chance to best jump in the waves, the beach was still a great place to visit.

Just like her guardian and her two best friends, Sheik loved to explore. That had been true even before she had left the castle for the safety of Kakariko Village... and being able to sneak past the royal guards had certainly added to that. Her exploration of Hyrule before and after Ganondorf's attack had been reasonably extensive, and she had sought to do much the same since arriving on the Breach. She had been here for just shy of a year now and had got to see all sorts of areas, but there were a select few outside of the inn that were particularly special to her. Those included the forest, the grasslands, and the coastline... and even though she frequented them, Sheik did enjoy the fact that she never knew what she might find on any particular journey.

Outside of seeing some very interesting aquatic animals in the distance, the disguised princess soon found something else that made her smile broadly... rather, someone else.

Glancing down the sandy beach in between then waves and dunes, Sheik spotted none other than her good friend Aicara. She had got to see the young Sheikah several times the past few months around their joint training exercises and simple visits out to the graveyard, and even though she did not yet know the disguised princess' secret, the two had struck a special bond of their own. It was not quite the connection she shared with her Link or the twin factor she and the older Link seemed to have, but they had become very close friends nonetheless, and Sheik was very happy for that.

The girl seemed to be making her way down the beach with two buckets in hand, quite possibly looking for seashells. As Sheik began to quietly near her position, her own ears perked up as she blinked in surprise at catching the sound of Aicara's hungry stomach... it sounded as though her own growing hunger had competition from the young Sheikah's. It might be time to enjoy those sandwiches soon...

Catching up a bit more to Aicara's position, Sheik waited a few moments before calling out, "Hey Aicara! This is a nice surprise seeing you out here!"

    GGRRRRRBBBBBRBL.

Uggggggggnh. Why were stomachs so fussy? Always grumbling, gurgling and groaning for food no matter how you told them otherwise. Hardly ever silent when food is involved too. Mmmmmh...food. No, bad Aicara! You had to keep exploring, she was interrupted by another loud grumble from her whining stomach. "OooooOoooooh. Fiiiiiine. FIIIIIINE." Always, always it whined at her! Suppose it was good a time as any to take a break to eat. Setting her baskets down with a huff, she begun to rummage around with the one containing her large blanket and gratuitous amounts of food. Hefting the blanket out, Aicara paused as she heard the familiar voice of none other than Sheik.

Company! How lucky she was, she certainly felt very lucky now!

"Sheik! Sheik! Sheik! It is a amazing surprise to see you here too! I didn't think anyone was even out here!" Skipping away from her baskets, she skidded to sliding stop in front of her friend with an even happier disposition. "Its so good to see you! Since you are here, would you like to have lunch with me? I have lots and lots of fruits to eat and water too. I guess its not exactly the fanciest meal but its really good for you!" Aicara in her joy, like many other times before had started to babble ever so slightly. She couldn't help it, when she became so excited the words would just come buzzing out a mile a minute.

Sheik could not help but grin at Aicara's eager greeting and subsequent skipping over to her. Laughing a bit at her friend's note about her not thinking there was anyone else out here, she said, "Neither did I! It's been pretty quiet so far, but I think that makes it all the more special that I got to run into you!"

It was always nice to see any of her friends of course, but to hear the sheer enthusiasm in Aicara's voice? Sheik was definitely glad that she had decided to venture out this way today. The two of them always had a fun time together, and it seemed they are about to have yet another.

At the Sheikah's invite to lunch, the disguised princess raised her eyebrows in intrigue. Regardless of having caught the sounds of her friend's hungry stomach, she had been thinking of stopping to enjoy some of the sandwiches she had packed herself. It now seemed that between the two of them, they might have a makeshift feast for lunch yet. Nodding to Aicara's kind offer, Sheik smiled a bit more broadly, stating, "If you'd have me, I'd love to have lunch with you. I've actually got some Lon Lon beef sandwiches I packed up, so we can have those in addition to the fruits!"

Gesturing back towards her friend's baskets, Sheik asked, "Shall we then?"

That was Aicara for you, always skip in that step and a smile in her face! Perfectly happy to a good friend, especially on a day to do something this fun! Boy did she feel like one of the luckiest people ever! She nodded in agreement at the mention of how quiet it had been, much to her dismay because she really wanted fun things to happen. "I agree that it is far too quiet! It must be doubly special that we've crossed paths!" Yes, this she would attest too! Now they could do all the fun activities together, well Sheik allowing them of course! Not everyone liked to collect seashells or run about the beach wildly.

Hopefully, her friend would like to stay for lunch even if it was not exactly plentiful in variety but it was healthy at least! But OH! OH! She nearly begun to drool at the mentions of Lon Lon beef sandwiches! That sounded positively amazing! Not one to deny a kind offer, Aicara gave hop and turned on heel and begun to skip over to the baskets, swiping her blanket up to begin spreading it out for them to perch themselves upon. Huffing as she flapped out the blanket, making sure to lay it out carefully to get as little sand as possible kicked up she then moved the food basket atop of it. She turned to Sheik, motion to the blanket for her friend to take a seat before she plopped down. Once seated, she slid off her sandals and crossed her legs happily barefoot now. "So! What should we eat first~? The sandwiches or fruit? Or maybe you would like something to drink? I don't have any cups only a canteen so we'll have to share if that is okay?" She for one didn't mind sharing water from a similar source, it was simply something she had gotten used to when going on walks with her tribe from her own world.

"Ha-ha, I agree!" said Sheik, laughing slightly as she nodded at Aicara's mention of their meeting up being doubly special. Enjoying the beach was always great, but getting to do so with a close friend was even better. The only thing that boosted that was the fact that their meeting had been a surprise, and it was one that the disguised princess was all too happy for. As far as any beach activities went, Sheik was more than set to allow them. She was admittedly a bit more prone to run about the beach than collect seashells, especially since swimming was not the most viable option today, but she was a Hyrulean… and just like Impa, Link, and Link, she had an inherent interest in collecting various things. Be it rupees, Gold Skulltula tokens, any variety of spoils, Kinstones, or seashells, the disguised princess was set to find and hold onto any of it.

Sheik laughed a bit more at Aicara's quick hop and subsequent skipping back over to the baskets she had set down, right before moving to follow after her. Once the blanket was set, the disguised princess nodded to her friend's gesture to have a seat, and promptly sat right down herself. Now this was quite nice and comfy… and best yet, she was set to enjoy a good lunch with an even better friend!

"I was thinking we could eat the sandwiches first and then enjoy the fruit as desert," suggested Sheik at Aicara's question. Smiling a bit more at her mention of the canteen, she nodded before stating, "I don't mind sharing if you don't."

At that, Sheik pulled out two sizable sandwiches, both of them topped with succulent Lon Lon beef and cheddar cheese. She handed one of them to Aicara, nodding to her as she said, "Here you go. I hope you enjoy it!"
