| It seems his tale had really captivated Samara. But who wouldn't actually be mesmerized by the riveting stories? And they were all true, too-Sanji had actually been in these situations and although people may be skeptical, this IS Portal Breach. Many things happen here that are fantastically amazing. However, the yarns that Sanji spins are generally had-to-be-there stories they still sounded wonderful. Too bad Sanji never anticipated getting sucked into this world, or he may have prepared (and probably exaggerated) his stories.
But she had the loyalty of the Straw Hat Pirates down to an art form by now. There is no closer group of friends, no more spectacular rag-tag group of rogues, no awkwarder crew of pirates. MUGIWARA!
"...yeah...one helluva crew..."
Sanji puffed from his cigarette, and waited for Samara to finish talking to the bartender. What was she talking to him about, anyway?
"Heheh, well, they may have been...awesome. But they were not so fun to actually be part of...it took a month for my ribs to heal from that fight..." |

| Samara actually turned her gaze over towards Sanji when he mentioned how long it took him to heal after the said CP9 battle. It was pretty prominent that concern and surprise washed over her expression, or was it disbelief? Well, either way, her expression kinda gave away what her first thoughts were.
" How are you not crippled from all this shit?" was the first thing out of Sam's mouth at that point. " By how it sounds, it's like you've broken some serious bones here and there yet...." she trails off.
Yeah, her face was just emitting pure and utter 'dumbstruck'. It was impressive that if Sanji had made it through situations like that, imagine what the rest of the crew may be like. Powers or no powers.
" Sorry, sorry, that news to me. It's rare that I've seen anyone break themselves yet still be able to move about normally.." she said, trying to not sound stupid at them moment.

| Sanji wasn't surprised to get that look. He was actually more surprised she believed him at first than anything else-I mean, they were not fake stories-but some people had to be at least a bit skeptical. They were rather extravagant, even for the breach they seemed quite a bit far-fetched. He wouldn't blame her if she disbelieved him, because it really didn't matter anymore.
"Chopper's a damned good doctor, Sam-Swan. There's not much else to say."
Sanji puffed once more, rather at a loss for words. The Straw Hats had been little more than lucky...it wasn't exactly their strength that always won them fights and helped them survive. Sanji could think of dozens of situations in which Luffy's luck was a tremendous help.
"...so...hm. I'm not sure, I think that's practically all of the story. I kicked his ass, and then Luffy beat the leader, and we freed Robin-Chwan." |

| At least that was comforting to know. Luffy eh? So that's the captain's name. Cute. Though for some reason, hearing it made Samara think straight to 'fluffy'. It might have just been the pronunciation and spelling, that would happen.
" ...I almost wish I could have been there, that must have been quite a sight to see." Sam stated, her expression having gone into thought with her smile.
It's rather true in Samara's case. The stories coupled from these adventures she keeps hearing about from not just Sanji, but many of the other people around here in Portal Breach, it made her wish she could have experienced them too.
Though unfortunately those thoughts would merely need to remain as such, but she couldn't help but keep that pretty smile up when she thought about it. It didn't take long for her train of thought to be broken by the music starting to pick up the pace again. Looks like the fun's starting up again, ne? Sam glanced towards the floor then back at Sanji.
" Ready for another dance?" she asked, grinning.

| If Samara thought of 'Fluffy' when she heard Luffy's name, then she was certainly getting the RIGHT idea! Rubber Man Luffy, some called him, could technically, literally be the fluffiest man alive. If he was even a 'man'. He was quite a child, even after the two years the entire crew had separated for. But he was getting rather off task now, wasn't he? Sanji exhaled a thin cloud of smoke thoughtfully from his lips, waiting for Samara to finish talking.
"Been there? ...Well...I suppose it would have been interesting to watch. But to be IN those situations? Hell, you can jump in for me ANY DAY OF THE WEEK, Sam~"
Sanji chuckled. Oh, he made a funny! Smiling, he put his cigarette back in his mouth just as the music kicked back up again. Such lively music-it seemed like it could make anyone get up and move-to-the-groove a bit, ya know? He stood up, puffed one more time, and bowed, holding a hand out to Samara.
"Why, yes I am! Shall we~?" |

| Okay, now that was a good one. Sanji made a funny for saying Sam could step into a fight for him anytime. Anyone with a brain who knew Sanji's personality would know he would rather step in and get himself killed than let a girl even lift a finger for a fight.....or even let her participate in one.
Or..whichever came first. The chivalrous bastard.
Samara smiled, " I'd have been happy to help you and your crew out of sticky situations. It'd be an honor!" she said, surprisingly enthusiastic.
Come on, who didn't want to be a pirate once in their lives? Well...yes...mostly children at first, however, that's beside the point. Samara did hope that Sanji would get to see the rest of the crew he called 'family' here in the future. Portal Breach was weird that way, it will sometimes take it's time before bringing more people from the same world here.
Though when he stood up and offered her his hand, she took one more sip of her drink before following suit.
" Of course."

| Tee hee he was quite the prankster, wasn't he? Well don't get your hopes up because, not really. That was probably the best intentional joke he would tell the entirety of the night. But don't feel sad or anything-his facial expressions and general awkwardness could probably make you laugh no matter what! It sure makes everyone else laugh. He still didn't fully grasp that, nor why anyone from this world made no facial expressions like his own!
"Glad to know someone has my back, Sam-Swan~"
It was relieving to hear that someone would fight with him, even if it was Samara. Assured him that he hadn't accomplished nothing, ya know? Not that he really did anything yet anyway...but you get what it means!
Seeing Sanji's crew mates here would definitely bring a smile to his face! Well, anyone but Zoro. Rat bastard, that one...why did HE have to come here and not, say, BROOK or LUFFY or...Nami-Swaaaaan~ OK that's enough swooning for one post, thinks Sanji's role player.
When she took his hand, he lead her down to the dance floor again. Hm. He once again contemplated what she asked the waiter about... |

| From the expression on Sanji's face, it seems her comment actually made him feel pretty good. That was at least a definite turn-around from any depressing memories that came back to haunt the pirate chef.
Another thing Sam noticed in Sanji's expression was from when she had previously spoken to the bartender while he was telling her the CP9 story. " If you were wondering about the whole bartender thing, it's because I ordered that other cocktail. I wanted something a little less tart." she chuckled
The music started to flow over people's words as it delved into a rather smooth ebb and flow throughout the room. Hopefully Sanji was starting to get the hang of the dancing, not too fast but none too slow either.

| Depressed? This was no time to feel depressed! There where plenty of times for Sanji to revel on past screw ups and emotional trauma-mostly due to him having gone to 'Hell'-but on a night out with a swan-suffixed woman? No! Now was the time for...uh...not...doing that! Yeah! Sanji nodded in reply as Samara told him what she had ordered. He did not want her to get drunk, but a few drinks couldn't hurt. Or could they? He didn't even know, Zoro chugs down Sake like it's freakin' water. Sanji hated that. Sanji hated everything the moss-haired swordsman did.
As the music changed, Sanji got back into his dancing. Or...yeah, we'll go with that. He was mostly just following Samara's lead now, but he didn't seem to care much either way. I mean really, HE'S DANCING WITH A WOMAN WHO DID NOT TURN HIM DOWN. Sanji was the luckiest, happiest camper this night. And that is all there is to say on the matter.

| Drunk? Samara? Pfft..I don't know if anyone would wish to see her plastered, but it would take a lot more than that to send her for a loop. Regardless of whether or not she was going to have another drink after that, the point was to have fun and live a little.
Sanji seemed to get the hang of the dancing, even if he was still allowing her to lead on, hopefully he'll get used to that in time. Practice does make perfect after all.
" So.." she started once they could at least hear again, " What dances have -you- actually learned, Sanji?"
Interesting question, because when you think about it, one should at least couple fine dining and dancing together. I think. So, why not?

| Sanji wished he could say the same, but it doesn't seem like it would take much for him to get hammered himself. He probably wasn't going to be drinking for the rest of the-nah, he'd probably still drink, actually. But there was a more urgent crises at hand! Sanji was asked if he knew any kind of dances. Did he? Fine dining and dancing can be coupled, but not when the chef spends all of his time in the kitchen! (Or flurrting with women) So Sanji had no idea what to respond with. He could say he learned a LOT of dances and try to half-ass his way through the rest of the dancing session. Or he could be straightforward and simply state that he did not know any dances at all. ...Wait, what was he thinking? Lying to a woman?! How incredibly mock-able!
"well...none, actually, Samara-Swan~"
Keeping on a smile while he said this was incredibly hard. You could just tell. |

| A good choice of words, chef, a very good choice indeed. If anything, Sanji might be surprised at Samara giving him a smile of approval in return for his answer. Telling the truth is a plus in her book. Trying to say he knew how to dance when he clearly didn't would have just provoked a little bit of teasing from her until the truth really did surface.
" I'm glad you didn't try to fib with that question." she said, ever present smile on her face. " It would have been a silly reason to lie."
That was rather surprising for the pirate chef. Though at least he could breathe a sigh of relief that she knew better. Samara kept on leading for them as the music continued and people around them also kept up their dancing.
" If you wanted I'd be more than happy to help teach you." Sam offered as the music slowed down. What? For reals? Yes, a girl just offered to help teach 'ero-cook' how to properly dance.

| Well that was a good call, hm? A little bit of teasing may have caused for more embarrassing, awkward moments, so this little act of honesty was the winning answer for Sanji. He couldn't even begin to wonder what would have happened if he lied...getting embarrassed was really nothing new. But being mocked by a woman? That showed that he had FAILED at being a proper, good gentleman!
"...Yes, very silly, very silly indeed..."
Well, that was one challenge averted. Then she offered to teach him how to dance, for reals. Sanji shrugged, bowing low with a hand behind his back, extending an arm towards Samara with an open palm. He had no idea what he was doing, to be honest-but he was sure it would be worth it in the end. He believed, at least...
"Why, I would be honored to learn, Sam-Swan~" |

| Shaking her head in an amused fashion, Samara just grinned, tapping the pirate chef on his shoulder, coaxing him out of his bow and back to standing straight up. Sanji sure gave a pretty strong vibe of being a people pleaser...or more accurately, a woman pleaser. Sam understood that, even with his slight quirks, you have to admit, his attitude was quite amiable. She brought him back into stance to continue with that last song before the next one started up, encouraging more people to get up and dance the night away.
The evening wore out and moved onward into the late hours, eventually the dancing coupled with a few more drinks were losing a bit of luster with the time. Samara and Sanji eventually found themselves heading out from the club, getting their jackets from the coat checker on the way out.
They still talked and laughed here and there as they walked outside, heading down the sidewalk. Sam's words were a little jumbled as she composed her laughter, " No no no..you HAVE to move the right way or else you will end up tripping up your partner, you dork!" she said through the giggles, " Think of it like following a recipe, if you don't do it right, the final dish comes out all wrong." With that, she playfully gave him a slight hip-bump.
They apparently were talking of dancing, Sam attempting to explain a little the steps on how to start...but failing a little. " I'll have to show you when I get the chance to teach you."

| Sanji hoped he had done a good job of pleasing the women, as Samara had suggested. When he was tapped, he rose back to full height, not questioning why he had to do so or breaking into another bow. Which he would totally do, had there been a reason for doing it. Sanji was...spontaneous, maybe, but not insane or stupid. Sanji stuck his hands back into his pants and looked at Samara, waiting for some kind of response. The response? A rather good rest-of-the-night filled with dancing and light drinking, and Sanji had to admit he was enjoying himself. But all good things must end sometime, and before he knew it, much time had passed. Much. Soon, he was putting on a pair of gloves to leave the club, as Samara was getting her things ready.
They left, Sanji nodded in thanks to the coat-checker, and began their trek back. Even without the smooth music and swanky ambiance, the two had fun just walking and talking. Talking and walking. Sanji, at some point or another as they where chatting, slipped out another white stick of tobacco and lit it up with his lighter, putting it between his teeth and releasing smoke accordingly.
"...Of course, Samara-Swan, I would kick myself a thousand times-no, TWO thousand times!-before I allowed you to trip!"
Sanji raised an arm slightly, placed his other over his waist, preformed a quick bow mid-stride in an attempt to back-up his claim. He was knocked back into reality by a pair of hips nudging his side.
"That is an interesting way of putting it, Sam-Swan. I guess I'll have to believe I get my recipes right one-hundred and ten percent of the time, then~"
He exhaled more smoke.
"And I look forward to learning, Sam~!"
It probably wasn't really the learning that he was looking forward to, though... |
