This spar had been dragging on for a while now. Thomas wasn't quite sure how long it'd been going on, but certainly a while. Vincent Valentine certainly was an even match for Thomas, at the moment. At any ra-OH GOD CLAWS AGAIN. This time, though, Thomas was ready.

As Vincent lashed out with his talons, Thomas caught the Crimson Gunman's passing hand with his teeth. Yes, his teeth. The same broken, ruined teeth that were in his mouth. Honestly, it hurt like Hell, but it was the first thing that came to mind. Thomas spat the hand out, taking a few steps back. He tried speaking, tried saying something. But, unfortunately, his still-ruined mouth distorted the words.

Thomas sighed. That much, at least, was recognizable. The Wendigo pointed to the injuries on his face, and the made the universal sign for "time-out". His meaning was clear.

Give me enough time to fix this before we resume?

Vincent winced as Thomas avoided his slash and bit his hand, that had to have hurt like a fury. He spat it out and tried to say something, but the gunman couldn't understand a word of it. The wedigo sighed, that at least was clear. He made a time out sign and pointed to his face.

Vincent got it and nodded then stepped back, showing he would honor the time out. After all this was a spar, not a massacere no matter how fiercely they were fighting. Vincent was as surprised as Thomas about how long the spar had continued and how evenly the two men were matched. "Sorry about the grievious damage to your face, Mr. Steele. It was not intentional."

Thomas waved the apology off. The meaning of the gesture was clear. These things happened in the middle of spars. It was nothing worth apologizing over! After all, it wasn't like Thomas hadn't put some holes in Vincent with his own handgun! Besides, the damage was in no way permanent. Hell, that was why they were taking a break in the first place!

It took roughly ten minutes for Thomas' face to knit itself back together. Vincent got a nice, long look at the process of a Wendigo regenerating. The broken teeth loosened from the gums and fell out, allowing new, perfect pearly-whites to force their way through. The ruined bone began to regrow, as did the muscles and flesh that covered it. Within ten minutes, Thomas' face was exactly as it had been when the fight had began.

Thomas looked like he was about to say something, before an odd look crossed his face. It could best be described as a confused look, as though something wasn't quite right. And then, out of nowhere, Thomas spat up a deformed slug of metal into the snow, still covered in blood and small splinters of bone.

"...I do believe that belongs to you, Mr. Valentine." he said, with a slightly-amused tone.

Vincent nodded at Thomas' don't worry about it wave. He sighed a bit and adjusted the head band that held his unruly midnight tresses out of his face. The last thing he wanted in a fight, spar or not the last thing he wanted was the thing impairing his vision.

The regeneration process was not overly pleasent to watch, watching his shattered teeth fall out to make room for the new ones was the most unsettling thing about the whole process. It was done rather quickly then Thomas spat out the deformed slug with blood and bone splinter all over it. He remarked that he believed it belonged to him.

Vincent looked at the bullet lying in the snow and his lip curved in a slight smile, he was rather amused himself. "I do not believe I want it anymore. He stepped back a bit. "Shall we continue? I believe the next strike belongs to you."

"Indeed it is." Thomas said with a cheerful nod, stepping back a bit himself. The Wendigo grinned, before rushing at Vincent. The oh-so-familiar plates of bone (and accompanying talons) burst from his hands. Thomas lunged forward, slashing and cutting at the red-cloaked gunman. The Wendigo's hands were almost moving too fast enough to be seen. As it was, they were a blur of pearl-white violence, ripping and tearing.

After that attack was launched, Thomas ducked around past Vincent, stopping a few feet away.

"The question is, Mr. Valentine, are you sure you wish to continue?"

The wendigo moved so fast that Vincent didn't get a chance to evade him and the gunman winced as the bone claws connected, ripping into his right arm and already injured leg. It tried to buckle under him and he staggered a couple steps sideways before he regained his balence. He growled slightly at the pain.

Thomas was behind him now, so Vincent turned to face him and the wendigo asked if he wanted to continue. The answer to that was easy. "I have been taught that one does not run for a fight without a very good reason, Mr. Steele and I do not have a good reason yet." He lunged forward and slashed at him.

Thomas deftly dodged the strike, ducking downwards with downright dumbfounding dexterity. Also, you have no idea how hard it was to find that many "D" words to say "Thomas dodged Vincent's slash". Really, it was somewhat bothersome. Oh well. Coming back up from his maneuver to dodge the Crimson Gunman's metallic claws, Thomas threw yet another punch, aimed at the back of Vincent's skull.

Thomas stepped back, still grinning. "An admirable stance, Mr. Valentine! Turely, I commend it! After all, this is a spar. It's not like we're trying to kill each other. But tell me, and do please answer honestly...

"If this were a real fight to the death, would you be worried yet?"

Vincent missed the stike, but he threw himself forward into a roll, tucking his shoulder and coming right back to his feet. He faced Thomas again, realizing that the wendigo was speaking to him again. "My response would be the same in a real fight, Mr. Steele." He shrugged slightly.


The gunman raised a brow at the next question, hmmm. Interesting. "I would be mildly concerned, but when one can not die then it takes much of the worry out if it as I am sure you know and quite frankly there were many a time I wished someone ciould suceed in killing me. I should have died a long time ago. Who knows perhaps I have in a way." He lunged, slashing at Thomas.....

Thomas sidestepped the lunge, nodding. It was something he himself could be sympathetic to. His one-hundred-and-seventy-third birthday was coming up in a month. It was the 148th year the Wendigo shouldn't have been alive. Still, no sense dwelling on that now. There was a fight to win!

Thomas rushed forwards, throwing a simple punch at Valentine's face. The Crimson Gunman was wearing down. They both were, honestly, but Thomas felt like he was holding together slightly better than Vincent was. He smiled, still-speaking even after he threw the punch.

"Everything ends, Mr. Valentine. Sooner or later, everything ends."

Thomas might have called himself "immortal", but the Wendigo had no delusions of being such. He would end, one day. Everything ended eventually. Just like this fight: it might take a while, but it would end.

Vincent noticed the nod as Thomas sidestepped the blow. The wendigo understood the gunman, not really surprising. They had a lot in common, probably more than either of them were comfortable admitting He ducked under the swing Thomas aimed at his face. "Indeed, Mr. Steele, one would hope that there is an end, I have for many years."

Vincent had started to lose an uncomfortable amount of ground in the last few minutes of this fight and he knew it. Sadly he was sure Thomas knew it too, the man was very observant. His badly mauled leg ached and throbbed, it was started to swell too. It wasn't going to support his weight much longer, he had no doubts on that. All the gunman could do was hope that his damned leg wouldn't give out until the fight was done. Turning, he lunged at Thomas and slashed at him.....
