| Samara chuckled at Sanji's embarrassed reaction to 'blondie'. Oh come on! You never been called 'blondie' before? She could only shake her head in amusement.
" Don't mind Lucy, guys. She's sixteen, and like Jana...she's...well..um..unpredictably sassy. Let's just put it like that." Samara said, snickering still. " At least this means she likes you guys....either that or she's doing it because she knows me."
She resisted the urge to kick Sanji in the shin for his cockyness, not really thinking he needed it for that small sneer and his laugh at the comment Lucy made towards Vincent. Sam only shook her head briefly as Lucy came back with their drinks.
" Here we go! Two coffees and a vanilla-almond tea. You guys enjoy, and if you need anything else, I'm right over there." the teen nodded her head towards her station at the counter before heading back.
" Thanks Luz." Sam called.

| Vincent gave the girl a polite smile and nod. He managed to keep from smirking at Sanji's reaction to being called blondie. It seemed like poetic justice for how he acted when they had come in. He tried the coffee and sighed, it was delicious. It had been a long time since he had been able to enjoy a cup of coffee. He nodded in agreement to Sanji's remark. "The mountains are often extremely cold."
Vincent chuckled as Lucy flicked Miss Samara and walked over to her station behind the counter. He rather liked the young lady's sass. Miss Samara was right, it did remind one of Miss Jana. "Well, it certainly could be either reason." He was acually enjoying this, it had been so long since he had socialized in any fashion. He hoped the other two weren't to bored. He was a bit out of practice.

| "No offense is taken, Sam-Swan~"
If Sanji could deal with Jana, then he could get over being called a blondie. Not that he enjoyed it any more...but still. Eh, whatever, he decided to let it slide for now. He nodded to the waitress as she brought over their drinks, and stirred his coffee a bit with a spoon. The small talk going on right now wasn't very...tentative, was it?
"Heh, well it's appreciated if she likes us and...I don't know...funny if she's just spiting you?"
Sanji chuckled, giving Samara a smug smile. It was no fun if she was the only one getting to crack these jokes and get away with them, so why not try one himself? Sanji turned his attention to the coffee, and took a sip. And then had to stop himself from spitting it out. What was in this? To Sanji's trained tongue, it tasted like...salt? Odd. He couldn't say it tasted horrible but...not to something he would like to do again. |

| " No, she's not spiting me. She's being nice because I'm here is my point. Usually she can be a bitch to customers that make her lose her patience." Samara answered Sanji, sniggering a little with the look on his face as he sipped his coffee.
" I HEARD that Sam! Oh! By the way blonde-romeo! You said you wanted salt!....Uh, right?" Lucy shouted from her corner over at the counter, looking unsure a bit, having seen his expression too.
Now THIS prompted a good laugh from Samara. Now that you mentioned it, Sanji DID ask for salt in his coffee. Oh lordy, now that was histerical, he didn't even notice he screwed up his own order. Sam tried her best to not laugh too hard, it wasn't exactly the most polite or pleasant thing to do to her friend. At least Lucy came back over with Sam's wave of her hand, seeming to realize she messed up with that one. The waitress took charge with Samara's gestures towards her blond friend.
"Sorry about that dude, I'll get you a new cup of coffee." the teen made a small laugh, though with a cautious look. When Sam calmed back down, she spoke; " Shit happens Luz. No worries. Sorry for laughing Sanji...it's just..you make the funniest expressions..I ain't even joking."

| Vincent sipped his coffee as he listened. He was also watching Sanji discreetly to see how he would react to his salty coffee. Surely he had made an error, no one in their right mind took salt in their coffee. "It is always a good thing to be polite to those that serve you food. I remember an aquaintace got a little to fresh with a waitress. She threw a hot plate of spagetti and meatballs into his lap." He chuckled at the memory. Reno had screamed like a school girl, but in Vincent's mind the pervert had deserved it.
Sanji stirred his coffee then took a sip. The look on his face said it all and the self control he showed in not spewing coffee all over the table deserved some respect Vincent managed to keep his composure at first then Samara laughed. That did it and Vincent laughed. This time not a quiet chuckle, but an open and honest laugh. The gunman was rather shocked at himself. It had been so long since he had laughed like this. "My apologies, Sanji, Miss Samara is right about your expression." A familiar smell got his attention and he smiled at Lucy. "If those are fresh cinimmon rolls that I smell I would like one, please." |

| OK, so maybe Sanji had screwed up pretty bad. Did he intentionally order salt in his coffee? He couldn't even remember. A anime-styled anger mark appeared on his forehead to show he was not very tolerant with what his two acquaintances where chuckling about. But when he put his cup down, and Samara mentioned his expressions, he couldn't help but laugh himself. It reminded him of Luffy, and how he had an facial form for practically every occasion. He motioned with his hand to the waitress that he was going to order again.
"Yeah, I think I'd like another coffee...heh. And cinnamon rolls? ...Yes I do smell them. Probably taken out of the oven about an hour or so ago, give or take ten minutes. In fact, I'd like to try one as well, please~"
Then Sanji turned his attention to Samara, pulled out another cigarette and his lighter. His previous cancer stick had been ruined by the outburst, covered in salty, liquefied coffee beans. How decadent. Anyway, after replacing it between his teeth, he smiled at Samara.
"Glad to know I can make ya laugh, Sam-Swan~" |

| Samara just gave another smile and nodded at the pirate chef. Thank goodness, he wasn't begrudge of the mistaken coffee blend with Lucy. Accidents happen, even mistaken orders, Sam knew that one all too well.
As she leaned back to relax a bit, tea in hand, Lucy came back with some fresh cinnamon rolls for the three of them. Samara didn't even ask for one. Eh?
" Don't tell anyone guys, but these are on the house. You're all here before normal hours, so I gotta make an acception." the teenager giggled, setting the plates down before heading back towards the counter.
Samara smiled a little, taking a sip of her tea. " Thanks Lucy. If you get into trouble just tell your boss it's on me ok?" she said calmly, taking a small piece of the cinnamon roll in front of her and taking a bite. Lucy just smiled over her shoulder before heading back to the back room.

| Vincent almost snorted at Sanji's angry look. He needed to learn to relax a little before he gave himself a heart attack. Of course he subsided pretty quickly when Miss Samara spoke to him and even laughed. The gunman chuckled a bit, he had a feeling that Sanji would let Miss Samara set him on fire if she wanted to.
The cook agreed on the smell of cinimmon rolls and that they had been taken out of the oven about fifty minutes ago. Sanji ordered a second cup of coffee and a cinimmon roll as well. The girl hurried off and soon returned with three rolls though two had been ordered. She said they were on the house when Miss Samara protested.
Vincent tried a bit of the roll...ah bliss. Warm with the perfect amount of cinimmon and sugar. His sense of taste, muted for so long, was now returning. That was a good thing, it made eating much more pleasent instead of a chore. "So what is this town you are from like, Miss Samara? Did you have a favorite place?" |

| Pfft, as if Sanji would hold a grudge on a woman! ...Or a serious one, at least. When the cinnamon rolls were delivered, Sanji respectfully took his own and smiled, nodding politely to the waitress. On the house? That was kind of her, very kind actually. There are a lot of kind women in Portal Breach, as Sanji had realized. It's almost as if coming here either made them incredibly violent or incredibly nice-and to be honest, Sanji preferred both~
"Sam-Swan, allow me to give you the money if you must pay! I would hate to see your hard-earned loot be spent on my behalf!"
He took a bit of his roll. Hmm...could use a little bit more kneading, somehow his experienced mouth could tell it had been made rather poorly. But then again, everything he tasted was pretty bad to him-unless he made it, of course. Arrogance? Nah, more like better than almost everyone. He pulled through though and quietly ate, listening to Vincent question Sam and awaiting her response. |

| Samara just smiled at them as they ate, then shook her head at Sanji's comment:
" Sanji, what's the point of money if you can't once in awhile treat your friends? That's my final say." she stated, giving a smirk but remaining firm on her claim. Though soon after she heard Vincent ask a question:
"So what is this town you are from like, Miss Samara? Did you have a favorite place?"
Ah, now that was a really good question. She looked over towards the crimson-caped gun-man and gave him a rather thoughtful look before speaking:
" I'm from New York City, it is, as in it's name a city..but it's a big one. Skyscrapers, townhouses, major businesses, stores, you name it. In some places the areas became more hostile or rough, but nothing different from any other city or town." she said, reminiscing a little. " Do I have a favorite place?...Hm..Well...I don't exactly have a favorite place..there are just too many to pick from."

| Vincent nodded at Sam's words. "I can understand not being able to pick a favorite spot, Miss Samara." He took another bite of the roll then chewed and swallowed. "I suppose it's only fair I answer my own questions." He drank some more coffee while he gathered his thoughts. "I grew up in a small village called Wutai. Most of the buildings were only one story except the more wealthy family's homes that were three. The emporer's palace was the largest and there was the pogenda of the Five Gods which had five, one level for each God."
Vincent smiled sightly. "I spent a lot of time in the mountains of Da-Chao. It was my favorite place where I could not only look down upon the city. It was a peaceful city and a very safe one. I have been spending a lot of my time in the library and by what I have read it's culture is like the Japan on your earth, Miss Samara." |

| Sanji shrugged. He would still pay for Samara should the time actually come-but whatever she said, she could do, he supposed. He would have rather stayed quiet and listened to her talk of her own world, while munching on a cinnamon roll. To be honest, Samara's world seemed fascinating from Sanji's viewpoint. It sounded so large and dominating, and he wondered what he could find there that would be a good meal to cook. Earth had so much culture, Sanji could probably spend decades just going over each one and cooking their meals!
Then when Samara was done, Sanji turned to Vincent to listen to the tales of his own world. Hm...that sounded like a lovely place to live. Even if the poor where obviously sectioned off from the rich, it sounded peaceful and quaint, something Sanji had come to notice was not all that common on the grand line...
"Like Japan from Samara-Swan's world? Hm, perhaps our worlds are all really alike, then..."
Sanji then took another bite from his cinnamon roll. |

| " Actually, when you think about it, it is sort of similar." Samara replied, stirring her tea.
It was a little strange, both Vincent's world and Sanji's had some Japanese cultural influences. Well..Vincent's was a little more predictable because Sam HAD played the Final Fantasy games before and understood where he was coming from. Though on the other hand, Sam has NO clue about Sanji's world except what he had described briefly.
Her thoughts though were momentarily interrupted by the noise of people outside. Lucy had reappeared from behind the counter to peek out of the windows. "Hoo boy..." she said with a slight sigh of discontent before she walked over towards the trio's table. "The morning regulars are arriving, you guys can stay if you want...but I don't recommend it. It's going to get loud and fast." the teen stated.
" It's alright Lucy, it might be best if we all head out anyhow." Samara said, giving her an understanding look. " Can we get some to-go cups then?"
"Sure thing!" was what Lucy replied before hurrying behind the counter and bringing back some cups. "I'd suggest sneaking out through the back, that way you can avoid the weirdos out front." Lucy said with a giggle, "Have a great day! "
With those words Sam hurried to get her coat, scarf and mittens back on. " C'mon guys, we'll head back to the Stock Pot Inn." she said, buttoning up and then grabbing her cup of tea.

| Vincent finished his cinnimon roll just as Lucy walked up to warn them about the loud, rowdy crowds that would soon arrive. He certainly had no interest in being her with that going on. He poured his coffee into the to go cup then put on his tattered crimson cloak and did up the buckles.
Always the gentleman Vincent left a tip even though Miss Samara had insisted she was paying. He politely thanked Lucy before stepping to the door and opening it for Miss Samara. He supposed he might as well go back to the inn. He had some books he could read. The wandering wasn't clearing his thoughts anyway. |

| Sanji would love to see these places in his own time, learn their culinary secrets if they had any, and try to add his own flare to it. Food was the jewel of all cultures one could say, and saying that Sanji didn't appreciate that would be a majorly incorrect statement! Although, the similarities between the many worlds was certainly peeking his interest. He thought about looking into it a bit more but...decided it would be better to just ask the people spawned from them instead of trying to dive in head-long. His thoughts where interrupted by the young waitress returning to inform them that the morning rush was going to begin soon. Oh brother! Sanji transferred his drink into the carry-out cup, and stood up, wrapping his scarf around his neck once more and putting on his gloves.
"Well then, take care miss~"
Sanji gave the waitress a kindly wave and a borderline-goofy smile before walking with Vincent to the door and waiting for Samara.
