Ollo. Just your friendly neighbourhood demon with a new effect coming on to Portal Breach... a points system!
Something that we’ve been considering for months now is a form of “currency” on Portal Breach. Past experience has unfortunately shown us that it is impossible to work out a proper money system, but we’ve since then reached an agreement regarding how we can get around an in character money system with points.
Every time you post, you gain points. These points can be used to purchase things such as levels, back-up discs, temporary powers and resources for your characters. The number of points you have can be seen right below your post count.
Level — 500 points
Back-up Disc — 200 points
Temporary Power — 300 points
Service — Vary
For high-levelled characters who do not really need points, players are allowed to transfer their points to a lower-level character they have. This is only possible when your character reaches 60, however. And when you transfer points from one account to another, the amount you wish to transfer is halved. That means that if you want to give 500 points to one of your characters, you are charged an additional 500. It is exactly the same as transferring levels to a new character; the levels are halved during the transfer process.
Also, just as a heads up, the right side fields of your character sheets are now only editable by admins. That means that in your character sheet, your Weapons, Armour, Trinkets and Powers can only be edited by one of the four admins. This is to prevent power abuse and will help us keep better track of what we approve of. If you want to get a power approved, the best way to get it approved is through an application thread. Once it gets approved, the admin will edit your sheet and add the approved power, etc. in.
