| It had taken a long while but Aicara, after months of being in this "Portal Breach" had gotten around to one of the most quiet, scared places she could think of. The Graveyard. Where the dead spirits laid to rest after tumulus lives or peace filled ones. The young sheikah blinked her red eyes as she crept silently among the gravestones. It was quiet, pleasing to her ears, so much better than the city. The city smelled funny and was large and moved about to much or her liking. SO there the young girl was, exploring alone among the tombstones. Stopping she peeked over a taller one and looked about, still no one. It matter not, she simply shrugged and continued on her way farther down the dirt path.
Upon traveling further about that path, Aicara noticed what appeared to be a house with two scythes over the door way. How odd! Someone did live here; maybe they'd know something interesting. So dusting off her tunic, the girl walked forward and knocked on the door. Then crossing her arms, she placed her hands in the sleeves of the tunic, she waited. She really hoped the people who lived in the house were home, it would be quite strange to wait outside an empty house. Even more so in a Graveyard! |

| After a night of not sleeping due to ghosts roaming about and causing ruckus, thanks to Mister Dark's influence, Shaeld had been exhausted trying to keep the spirits at peace. The influence wasn't as intense as the city, but sometimes it would get the better of the dead and make them testy and anxious. Every now and then, they'd pop out of the ground or come around and do as they pleased to the peaceful graveyard, and Shaeld would have to put a stop to it.
Sighing, the tired man sat in a rocking chair, removing his mask and cloak to breathe and try to relax after a tiring night. The sound of the chair oddly peaceful, it continued silently for a little while... until he heard a knock. Someone was here? To visit? Or was it a pesky spirit again, trying to just cause trouble. Sighing, Shaeld got up from the seat and walked over to the door, legs creaking as he felt older than he should have. Perhaps this place was just tiring more so than he thought.
Breathing in slowly, he opened the door, expecting a skeleton or spirit, but no, instead, he saw a child. What would a child want here, of all places? "Oh. Hello. Are you lost?" he asked, voice sounding forced as he looked at the girl with a slight confused expression. |

| Twilight had noticed the other girl shortly after she'd entered the graveyard, and had decided to follow her around. Maybe she was here to play? It was lonely, the other ghosts weren't kids and even Mr. Shaeld didn't have time to play with her all the time. The world was scary now, and she hadn't left the graveyard to visit her friends Ophie and Trevor and Eona.
It was kind of lonely and very boring. But now she had something to do! Invisible, she followed the strange girl until she wondered up to Mr. Shaeld's house.
Twi flew up to the roof of the house and looked down as the girl knocked on the door. As soon as she heard the door open, she floated down through the ceiling and appeared behind Mr. Shaeld, peering past him at the girl with her bright green eyes. |

| And most lucky for her! Aicara did not have to wait long before the door to the house opened up to reveal a man with the oddest coloured hair she had seen. For it was purple, but still very lovely. But did you call male hair lovely? But alas, that was a question for later. Blinking once, the girl shook her head at being lost. She wasn't lost, well not now she wasn't but earlier she had gotten turned around and almost got stuck in a funny smelling bog of sorts, but she'd high tailed out of there. And again she'd gotten distract in her own thoughts! Her attention span was awful at this time, she really needed to work on that.
"Oh! No sorry sir. I am not lost I was trying to find a good place to stay. But the city wasn't very...nice. And neither were any other places. And this place reminds me of my home, so can I stay here in this graveyard, please?" Now whether the man found it odd, she wasn't really sure, most people didn't think children would want to be in graveyard on normal circumstances, but to live in one was strange enough. Not that she thought it was strange for a man to live there, all graveyards needed keepers. Aicara stopped and nearly smacked her forehead to her hand. She had forgot to say her name! Sure was sure if any of the others were here they'd be upset in that lapse in manners. "And I am sorry, I forgot to tell you my name. I am Aicara." And with that she gave a tiny bow the went back to staring up at the man. Though all adults seemed to be getting taller to her, maybe one day she'd get to be tall too. |

| Shaeld looked at the girl in confusion. Why would she wanted to stay here, of all places? Sure, the city was terrible and, despite being surrounded by the dead, and sometimes undead, it smelled far better, as well, but... really? It was just so strange. He looked at her, but gave a slight smile, "You... wish to live here? Well... that's honestly a strange request, especially by a child, no offense, but... if you want to..."
He stepped back and held the door open for the girl to enter, "Well, uh, here, come inside. My name is Shaeld, I take care of the graveyard and spirits in the forest... or try to, at least. I also manage the temple behind the graveyard, the Shadow Temple." Once Aicara decided to enter the room, she would find the house relatively small, but cozy. A bed, a desk and chair, a bookshelf and in another room, a bathroom and another, a kitchen. Small, but suitable.
Shaeld closed the door slightly and offered Aicara a seat in a chair, "Uh, would you like some tea and bread?" he offered before pulling out a rocking chair for himself to sit. It was strange having company over, and especially stranger having it be a small child. Twilight Zone was the only child he seemed to be used to... where was she, he suddenly wondered. |

| Twi appeared, her face beaming with excitement. "That would be wonderful, can she stay, please?" She knew that spying was rude but was to excited to think to apologize. Another kid to play with! She didn't know Aicara, and it hadn't occurred to her that this young lady was not only older than her in years but also far more mature. To her, it was someone who would be able to play all the time, they could explore the forest around the graveyard and climb trees and play hide and seek in the old crypts below the tombstones... and best of all: if Aicara wanted to live in the graveyard she couldn't be scared of ghosts!
"I'm Twilight, but you can call me Twi. I live here too!" She said to Aicara, then turned back to Mr. Shaeld, with something of an expectant puppy-dog face. Please say yes! |

| Aicara wasn't surprised that Shaeld was surprised by her request. But she entered the home slowly and listened to what he had to say. So there was a Shadow Temple here as well? That was very interesting, it was almost like being back home again. She looked about the abode and instantly felt at ease and quite comfortable. "Oh thank you! She climbed into the seat and smoothed out her tunic again and crossed her hands in her lap, still looking around. [color:745b=6666CC]"Tea would be very nice, thank you. And then silence, it seemed very awkward for both of them. Very strange.
"That would be wonderful, can she stay, please?"
The young sheikah jumped. That girl had appeared from no where! And she floated, how peculiar and odd. But Aicara kept her wits about it and nodded politely to the magical appearing girl. Twilight was he name? What a nice name, it was so pretty."Hello Twilight! I am Aicara, its nice to meet you. And you live here as well? But where to do you sleep?" Aicara didn't mean to be nosy, she was just curious. |

| Shaeld wasn't used to the company, it was a wonder how he got used to Twi being around, but hey, if people wanted to come here, it was fine... just as long as they were relatively quiet and kind to the area. Shaeld poured a cup of tea in an old cup, bringing the set over and setting it on the table. He wasn't sure if she liked sugar or not, but he brought a sugar cup anyway. He personally liked his tea bitter.
Once he sat, Shaeld took a sip and looked over at Aicara, "There's an empty room in the back you may sleep in, or you can take my bed--my chair's more comfortable anyway." Oh lord, he sounded OLD. It was a little sad, but he felt so old. He took another sip with a tired face, "There's another room that's full of books and anything else you'd like... sort of like an office. However, there's a room in the basement, and I'd request you leave it be."
It was sort of his own room, so to speak. It was locked, anyway, but he needn't tell her that, if she was a good child (and he sure she was), she'd listen to his request. "Any reason you chose the graveyard for a place to stay instead of the Inn or elsewhere?" He was quite curious and wondered why people liked to come here... it was simply baffling at times. |

| Aicara sat happily yin the chair, even swinging her feet back and forth a little, she felt a lot cheery due to Twilight, happiness was often called infectious. She watched Mister Shaeld go about pouring the tea into a cup and bringing it over to her and setting it upon the table. "Thank you." She thanked him and slid the cup closer to her. Once he sat she took a sip and almost made a face. It was bitter tea like the elders back home drank. But it was still good, just needed more sugar.
"There's an empty room in the back you may sleep in, or you can take my bed--my chair's more comfortable anyway."
She nodded but she would never feel comfortable taking someone else's bed. It just seemed wrong to her. " I think I will take the empty room, and you should sleep in a bed! Its bad for your back to sleep sitting up, it can make your back all creaky." It was true facts, it had happened to her once when she'd fallen asleep standing up, her back had hurt for days afterwards. But she kept that to her self and listened on, taking another sip of tea." I understand, the office is open but I will not enter the basement, I respect your request." If that was the only term, then it would be easy to follow. Everyone needed privacy.
And the question as to why she choose the graveyard over the inn. Reaching for her teapcup she put her hands around it and twisted it a little."Well....the city is so large and different, it scares me a little when I am there. So many people and things that I don't know about...and it kind of smells bad. And the inn is right in the city...but the graveyard is much better, it reminds me of home a little bit, and I feel better about being here in this place. And I didn't want to be too far from people, and graveyards are always peaceful...That I just wanted a bit of that peace." Aicara blinked her eyes and looked to Shaeld."You understand what I mean, right?" |

| "Hello Twilight! I am Aicara, its nice to meet you. And you live here as well? But where to do you sleep?"
Twilight giggled. "Sleep is for the living! I don't need to sleep, I just play all night." She said. She played outside in the graveyard and forest of course when Mr. Shaeld was sleeping, because she didn't want to bother him. The skeletons were always fun to have tea parties with, they made such a mess, spilling tea everywhere!
The ghost floated happily beside the table, watching them with their tea, and listening to them talk. She was from a much more modern world, and so the city didn't bother her, but she could understand why one wouldn't want to live there. It made you feel so invisible, and to a ghost that's just adding insult to injury. Twi had also never been in the basement room, and she wouldn't go there because Mr. Shaeld didn't want anyone down there. She knew that if it had something like candy and ice cream he would share it, so it must be something personal and important to him that he didn't want anyone to see. |

| Shaeld looked at Twi, and wanted to offer her something as well, but she was a ghost... they didn't drink. Hearing Aicara would take the guest room, he didn't mind. Though... her concern of the chair--he liked that chair! It was far comfier than that... bed. It was far too lumpy, but soft. He'd rather sleep on the ground, if it came right down to it.
No matter, she'd take the guest room. It didn't have much, just a bed, a small stand, a candle and of course, a window. Behind the graveyard was just more graves and a few mausoleums. The entire place was gated around, anyway, it cut off at the fence and there was nothing more but trees. Actually, a perfect place for peace and quiet. Hearing why Aicara came here and chose this place, he wasn't surprised since he just realized it was true--though morbid. A child, living in a graveyard. Twi, he understood, she was a ghost, and seemed far too innocent to really understand morbid things (and he hoped the other 'residents' here weren't teaching her anything), but Aicara...
She seemed capable. And it would help to have another child around, since he always did feel bad that Twi was always alone with no one to speak to except himself and more undead--and Tael, but he was always floating around somewhere.
"Yes, I understand what you mean. My home is a little bare, it just has books and things for writing--and drawing. But it has food for whenever you need and it's cool during the summer, usually." Not much to say about it, really. Just a humble home. "At night, the place gets more active with skeletons and ghosts of all sorts, but don't worry, I have asked them to be kinder to people--unless they feel threatened."
Shaeld took a sip of tea and sighed, cracking his back for a moment, "There's a temple in the back--hidden. It's the Shadow Temple, from what I could read from the writing on the walls and what I was told. It houses many undead monsters and it's quite unsafe for you to wander alone... if you wish to see it, please ask me to take you. I'd prefer you safe." It would suck if she wandered inside and fell through an invisible floor... He'd never forgive himself if something like that happened. |
