Wage: $150 a week; this is gonna last several months, so get your act together!

Duties: You're going to be in space, so you're going to have to learn Basic Space Training 101.

All right, folks, I'm gonna keep this short and sweet for both your sakes and mine. Star Command's encountered a ragtag team of space pirates. Now, these fellas aren't your typical Valkyran-Raider-style pirates. They mean business, the type of business that gets your undies done in knots and your cookies snatched out from right underneath your noses! So here's the deal. The first twelve of you who sign up will get to help us track these show-offs down and get some monetary compensation for it. You help us make space a safer place and you walk away with money for your trouble's worth. Sounds like sweet deal, right? WRONG! You need the following requirements if you wanna hold a candle against them!

Requirements:
- A basic knowledge of space travel; if insufficient, further training will be given.
- A basic knowledge of combat; if insufficient, further training will be given.
- Ample free time for the next few months.
- Thick skin to take a short-tempered Commander's barks.

Jana had been out for a run when she ran past the bulletin board and decided to take a look. Something caught her eye.

Space travel and space pirates? Now that was something Jana could get interested in doing. She didn't care about the money, all she cared about was being able to go to space and have a little fun with some space pirates. You could bet your ass the young girl was going to sign up!

Taking the pen she wrote her name in messy, yet legible hand writing.

After recent events, there hadn't been much for Garrus to do. He was feeling more and more frustrated and useless with himself, as if all their planning and talking about what they could be doing was never really getting anywhere. They had tentatively agreed to open up a shop, maybe a shop where they could sell technology from their world, but word had it there were already too many stores of that nature.

Leeching money off of Mordin wasn't getting them anywhere, either. Though the salarian kept assuring them he had no real use for all the money he was making, the turian still felt guilty and useless because of it. he had tried out for the police force... what else was there left for him to do? He didn't want to become any old hand-for-hire. Mercenaries were scumbags, their loyalty constantly shifting to the one with the most cash.

An advertisement in the morning newspaper caught his eye. Reputedly, there was someone who was recruiting people who were experienced with space travel to hunt down pirates? The turian read the fine print. Commander Nebula? Star Command? Garrus recalled, very briefly, hearing about Star Command when he had gone to the police station. Something about them being the equivalent of the police force in space.

Maybe this was the opportunity they'd been seeking.

He got up and dressed in his armour, wanting to go for a more official and homely feel. Then, he went to Shepard's room so he could tell her the news. Perhaps Tali would be up to it too, if she still felt confident enough after her close encounter with death.

Shepard and Garrus were now standing in front of the bulletin board. A fine poster that wrote about the space pirates was there. Garrus did tell her that they needed to do something and this might be the chance they have been waiting for.

She didn't really do anything productive since she was here. She was thinking of finding a job somewhere at a shop, but she couldn't find any job openings in the newspaper. Shepard thought the police force would be good...but they already chose their candidates. But this, is about space; something she has become a part with, ever since she was a little girl. And the team has had their share of adventures in space; Garrus would be with her. It was a pity Tali or Mordin couldn't come. He already had a job at the hospital and Tali...didn't think she would be up for any adventures anytime soon.

"Pirates, huh? And to have thick skin for taking a hot head's orders?" She said. "My kind of job."

And with that, both she and Garrus wrote their names. This was going to be good.

Bloodscream scanned the bulletin board, looking for anything new that might catch his fancy. His gaze crossed that of the sign up sheet. Space? Pirates? Space Pirates? Sounded like a cliche childs film.

Pirates, faint memories wafted back to him from a past long forgotten. Oh of the days of service to Sir Francis Drake. The past where he was a surgeon for the dragon himself, until a bullet ran split across his breast bone, and he was sent to that damned witch doctor and transformed.

Bloodscream continued to stare off for a few more minutes, lost in his own memories, until he finally snapped out of it. Pondering the paper once more he quickly made his mark and left.

He would chalk it up later to pure nostalgia.

Red spy silently uncloaked in front of the bulletin board, business had been slow as of late, and the bills wouldn't pay themselves. Looking through the work section he happened upon a very intriguing flyer.

Space pirates?

Well that was certainly new. But at least it was something, and surely his amazing skills of stealth would come in handy. Spy quickly signed as "Red Spy" and re-cloaked. Truly this would be an interesting experience to say the least.

Sheila groaned a bit as she walked to the bulletin board. Other than that fight strange fight involving the squirrel and Carrie, she hadn't done....well, anything. Not that she ENJOYED watching her friend kill the squirrel of course, something she was still upset about, but it was better than staring at a wall!

She scanned the board, a hand on her hip, before landing on something about Space Pirates. "Space travel.....got it. Combat....got it. Free time, HELL YEAH I got that shit....Thick skin to take orders from an angry old guy, sure, if he can deal with some 'barks' back." She shrugged as she read through the requirements. Without a second thought, she signed her name, and went on her way.

"I wonder if there's a Space Pirate that looks like Johnny Depp..."

Monday mornings. There was always something so horrible about them and he couldn't put his finger on it. He didn't liked it and waking up, even if it was in the after noon always was a bitch when it came to mondays. And so he was sitting at the table of his dinning room, sipping and E tank and reading the newspaper.

HEY! LOOK AT THAT! FlashMan nearly spilled his can of energy at his brother's outburst. Dang, Crash! Do you mind? I'm trying to read here.. sheesh.. He then looked at the article Crash Man was pointing at.

Space travel and space pirates eh?

So you want me gone for month, Crash?

No! But it sounds fun! We both love fighting~!

only one of us can go, Crashy.

The orange robot sighed with obvious disappointment. I think you need it more than me, brother.

Fine I'll see if I can join. Just promise you won't break the studio while I'm gone- take all appointments. The blue bot said with a glimmer of excitement lighting his eyes.

Megamind studied the space pirate hunt carefully. It sounded interesting and there were people he knew that could watch his back and keep him from getting killed.Hmm, basic knowledge of space travel and basic combat...That was no problem...of course he'd need to dig out a couple more of his weapons for this little trip. All and all this promised to be worth the trip... He pulls out his pen and signed his name in slightly glowing blue ink before walking away....after all presentation was very important!

Samus walked up to the board, instantly spotting the words Space Pirates. She read the piece of paper and thought about it. She had killed them before, and blown up four of their planets, and they were still alive. She would gladly kill more this way, and being with others was a good idea. She walked up to the board, picked up the pen there and wrote down her name in the 'participating' section.

As MINERVA walked past, her eye caught the the words space pirates and it was all she needed to stop and read the paper over. A huge grin spread over her face as her paitence had finally had paid off and found her chance to do something with her old life. "Oh, this is just the thing I need to get my spirits lifted for sure! Nothing like battling space pirates to put a person in a really good mood for a long while." Quickly grabbing the pen, she she signed up, hoping she wasn't too late.

Shift had passed by the bulletin board more times than she could count over the last few weeks she had been residing in Portal Breach. The bot had taken time to read the contents every now and again, but there wasn't much for her to go on. However, today there was a sign-up list that caught her eyes. It was a sheet to sign up for pirate hunting. SPACE pirate hunting. Space pirates? Now she had seen everything. But then again, this was Portal Breach. Characters that were fictional from her world were even here, alive and real. So skepticism would have to take a rain check. With that logic in place, Shift read the sign up sheet.

Commander Nebula huh? Wow. Impressive.....wait...Jana and Megamind are going? No way! She had thought to herself.

Even Flash man and Minerva were signed up for the mission. She couldn't help but feel impressed and now, obligated, to tag along. She could take orders, that's for sure, but seeing some of her friends and acquaintances going, that urged her to get more involved. Another good reason Shift gave a more sturdy thought to joining the trip.

Training.

Commander Nebula would have those who were inexperienced at fighting trained and ready for what was to come. Fighting was not something that Shift liked, but, knowing the active dangers in Portal Breach, it would be smart to learn a thing or two.


The bot walked away from the bulletin board, her braid trailing behind her. Back on the sign up sheet, her name on the last position on the list.

Shift

Space. Ah, space. Yes, Rasa'Jeqkogomee knew space very well. He also knew of space pirates, and the alien could not resist such a juicy piece of bait strung before his amber eyes.

Rasa'Jeqkogomee had been walking around and spying the bulletin board as he normally did, his weekly routine consisting of training, combat, and looking for those who wished to partake in fighting. While this was not regular sparring the warrior would still be of use and he knew how to handle space scum fairly well. He was a Sangheili, after all, and he had served the Covenant well. Yes, he had. "I know not of this Star Command, but I know of space and pirates. I will join in this endeavor and prove my worth." And so the alien signed his name, the cursed pen still much too small and his signature coming out rather... scraggly.

"Peh, I shall make a pen for myself one day." Business done, Rasa'Jeqkogomee took one last look at the list to remember the names of those who joined, and he lumbered away quietly. There was training to be done.
