FLASH!

A tear ripped into the very fabric of an unknown dimension, the combatants in the Wastelands spewed out upon their own individual chunks of floating, aimless rocks. Thud! Thud! They went, and all was still...

It would be some time before they awoke, their bodies still disorientated by the inter-dimensional travel, their atoms rearranging themselves. At best they would feel an ache, perhaps a dull throb within their heads, but other than that their damage was minimal. Their bodies fine, they had just one thing to ponder: where WAS here? The sky was a bland shade of dark orange and there was neither sky nor ground. Just floating rocks as far as the eye could see. No food, no water, no land; just them, and the rocks. All alone. All so very, very alone. Nothing but a vast endlessness to hollow out their souls.

BAM! BAM! BAM!

Ion fire echoed throughout the void, and a certain Evil Emperor was beyond irate. "No, no, NO!" He barked, storming around his lone chunk of land. His previous lighter mood gone, the Evil Emperor snarled and spat to himself, immensely peeved. "This is wrong!" Zurg continued to shout at the top of his lungs, wanting nothing more than to rip his horns out. Augh! "This is all wrong! All wrong!" Whatever had the man in a tizzy must have also awoken the others by now as his voice was very loud. Even in this no-man's-land the overlord was still a force to be reckoned with. And with Zurgatronic Ion Cannon in hand, he took point at another floating chunk of rock and let the shots fly.

BAM! BAM! BAM!

"I had calculated it down to a tee! A TEE! How could this be the wrong dimension!?"

Calculated? Dimension? Had the Evil Emperor planned this all along? Regardless, everyone was stuck here and there didn't seem to be a way back... What were they to do?

Jo groaned, slowly coming round to. She felt like her head was full of wood carvings and her mouth tasted like sand At first, she didn't want to wake up. She was kind of comfortable lying there, even with the draft. But she had this feeling that there was something wrong with this picture. Wasn't she supposed to be covered? She felt around for her blanket, but touched rock instead.

Wait a second...

She opened her eyes slowly, rolling over onto her back. She felt herself nearly teeter and fall and she gasped, gripping the ground. Her heart pounded as she gazed up at an orange sky. What?! The sky wasn't supposed to be orange! She looked over her shoulder to see nothing but more orange sky and slid back and away from the edge. That had been way too much of a close call! But... where was here?

She got to her feet and dusted her pants off. She was still in her pajamas but was at least wearing her construction boots. But she didn't even have her tool belt on her. She was somewhere unknown and defenseless! "Real smart, Jo." She put her hands on her hips. "What is a mechanic doing in the middle of nowhere without her tools?!" That also begged the question of how she got here in the first place. Was it some sort of portal or...?

And then she remembered the vacuum-like machine. That thing must have did it! Had it sucked them in? Her, Proxy, Lawrence and Zurg? But wait a minute, she thought they were only restricted to Portal Breach. If that thing was a transdimensional hopping machine, how had they managed to get out of Portal Breach...?

Well, Jo wouldn't lie that being friends with Zurg had its perks. Things were certainly interesting when he was around! And speaking of the man, Jo could've sworn that she could hear him on the wind. But it didn't seem like finding the others here would be easy. She looked like she was stranded upon her own personal plot of land. And it wasn't all that big, either.

Jo had one thing to say to this.

"Craters."

The sound of ion cannon fire woke Lawrence up, the robot groaning faintly as his optics fluttered open. He sat up with a start as he realized that sky did not look familiar at all, and the memories of the past few hours came flooding back. The last thing he remembered was Zurg's Dimensionator going off, everything after that was a blank until rebooting wherever this place was.

As for where they were, Lawrence didn't rightly know. His Quantum Actuator must have acclimated to the local timestream while he was offline, so that didn't feel as wrong as it could, but there still was something unnatural about it. He couldn't see any planets, just endless orange sky and floating rocks.

More ion cannon fire sounded, and tracking the noise, that's how the butler found the Evil Emperor. Zurg was on one of the other floating rocks and blasting away, having something of a temper tantrum. Lawrence could only glare across the void. His master did all this, with probably no way to return, and here he was whining about it being the wrong place? Orvus, Zurg was just as bad as Nefarious!

Before his directives had anything to say about it, Lawrence switched the Chronoscepter out for his Ice Shrieker and unloaded one round at Zurg's rock. It was more to get the Emperor's attention than anything, but it still had its basis in rage. The butler's pale blue optics would have burned a hole in the Evil Emperor's back if they were capable of it, his voice dangerously calm yet still able to be heard loud and clear. "I tried to warn you. And here I thought you were one of those rare evil overlords that actually listened to their minions; apparently, I was wrong."

What, what was THAT?! A great pulling sensation was all around the demon, dragging him towards the factory. Prixlezub snarled and slammed his hooves and claws into the ground, trying to brace himself against the vortex that the generator had made. Then, light and sound meshed into one, the world spun around in front of him and then, nothing. Had the breach imploded on itself? The prince did not know, as he was just...floating. It was like he was back at the beginning of the universe again, just drifting through space half-asleep until being brought into full consciousness. When the demon had finally awoken, he found himself laying on his side on the ground, disoriented from the travel. Prixlezub's head spun, his stomach ached, and his limbs felt a little weak. Ugh, perhaps he would just sit there for a moment. Fiery headlamps flickered and looked around, seeing that he was on his own rock, just drifting around in the air.

However, as the demon observed everything from his own rock, taking note of the bareness this place offered. Ugh, no game, no ore. However, the demon seemed fine with this for the most part. After all, he hardly ever needed food unless he was damaged. The echoing sound of a canon going off made the prince perk up some, looking around the orange void. Well, it actually was almost like the beginning for him again, the only thing missing were the stars everywhere. Ah, how he liked seeing those when he was little. Passing by suns, watching comets, tumbling among asteroids. Ah, yes it was a nice feeling even in the coldness of that void. But, I digress. The prince growled and got to his feet, using his willpower to get over the shakiness of his limbs, partially using his tail for support. From what his ears could pick up, he was not alone. Hmm, the voice also sounded familiar, like a certain evil emperor. The prince thought for a few moments, looking around the void from his rock on whether he should find the man or not. If he stayed alone, he could easily just lay back here and enjoy the vastness of the place, then later find a way to make it his. However, if he went and sought out the emperor, the demon may be able to get back to the breach, back to his home away from Automotive hell. Then again though, what was there for him? An insubordinate idiot of a demoness who is limping about the wastelands like a lost puppy, a variety of creatures and humans that showed no fear towards him, and a simple house of bricks in the wastelands. Indeed, what was there for him? demon's may respect certain people, but they never usually go out of the way to make friends with anyone, maybe that one woman way back, but she was an exception.

However, this place was already looking fairly dull and barren, with no game to speak of, and no ore. Truly if he stayed here, he would go insane! But, but...He would be King of the Rocks! Yeah!

...No.

The demon shook that ridiculous thought from his mind, looking at the rocks in front of him. Going back to breach was indeed better than just sitting here in this nothingness, boredom never was really tolerable for the prince, he needed to do something. So, looking from his rock to ones around him, the prince rolled his shoulders and shook out his body from head to tail, getting rid of the annoying weakness in his limbs. Then, Prixlezub crouched down, his muscles tensed like a cat ready to pounce. The demon had no idea how the gravity would work here, but he was not going to let himself be isolated like this. After taking careful moments of aiming and re-aiming, he jumped. Muscles upon muscles sprang like an industrial spring, and the demon flew from his rock and onto the next one.

Ah, now he was getting somewhere! The prince leaped from rock to rock, digging his talons into the crags to keep from slipping. Once he could see the emperor, the demon stopped, perched on a floating rock and watching him. Zurg did not look to pleased right now, so the demon felt it wise to just sit back and wait a while, perhaps he would calm down.

When Proxy came round to, there was already a commotion going on around him. Perhaps it was by luck that he was close to most of the commotion. He could see Zurg raging, Lawrence reprimanding him, and even a large red creature thundering towards them and pausing atop a rock to watch. Proxy, thankfully, had heard of Prixlezub from Jo before, to know that it was not a beast of this new realm... wherever this place was.

But what concerned him the most was that he could not see Jo anywhere. She had to be here if they were all here! (And if Prix was here, that answered the question of who was attacking them.) Glancing around quickly, he began to scan the terrain, and it wasn't long before he found her. She was several rocks away, but close enough that there was no real issue in reaching her... besides the rocks in the way.

Proxy prepared to follow Prix's example and jumped from rock to rock. The distance between them wasn't short, but it wasn't long either. His uniquely-fashioned body had enough power to leap from rock to rock. One leap had been particularly dicey, but he managed to grab ahold of the ledge in time and hoist himself up without there being any complications involved.

"Creator-Josephine!" He leapt upon the rock she was stranded upon, checking her vitals. "Are you hurt?" She seemed to be well enough, but that did not mean that things were alright.

Jo sighed in relief upon seeing Proxy. "Proxy! Are you okay?" She hugged him tightly. He returned the hug a little awkwardly, but returned it all the same. "Yeah... yeah, I'm alright." She pushed her hair out of her eyes and looked around. 2But what is this place? What happened? Where're Lawrence and Big Z?"

"Yes, I am well." Ah, and here came the hard part. Explaining. Proxy braced himself and hoped she wouldn't get too mad. "Zurg-Emperor created some sort of rift in the fabric of space and time. We appear to be in another dimension. I... am not sure how we can return. But they are both well and unharmed, along with Prixlezub-Leaper."

"I figured." Jo sighed, scratching her head. She was a little surprised to hear that Prixlezub was here, but if he was the one who'd been attacking them it was no wonder that he'd been dragged in here too. "Looks like Big Z got us in a real big mess this time around..."

"I will have to agree," Proxy mumbled. No good Evil Emperor! Always messing things up!

"Well, d'you think you can take me back to the others? If we're gonna come up with a way to get back, it should be all together." Jo also hoped that Mr. Dark's influence wasn't strong here. To be honest, she wasn't feeling out of sorts at all! Maybe everyone else was feeling alright too.

"Of course." Proxy stooped down on all fours again for her. "Climb onto my back, Creator-Josephine. I will take you back to where I saw the others."

It took a few tries, but Jo managed to scramble onto his back, securing herself by wrapping her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist. "And when I find Big Z, I'm gonna give him a piece of my mind..."

Proxy was more than happy to hear Jo say that. As soon as she had a firm hold, he bounded off and leapt from rock to rock, soon returning back to where Prixlezub, Lawrence and Zurg were, settling down upon another rock floating nearby. There, they watched to see what would happen before revealing themselves.

Silence... Nothing but silence... Wait, what was that.

Thwp, thwp, thwp.

A small noise came from over the horizon, disembodied and almost of little consequence. Wait, there it was again!

Thwp, thwp, thwp.

Yes, there was something there! Yes, there was!

Long, blackened tendrils rose from the depths. They were like fingers yet flat and crisp, and one by one they gripped at rocks. For what purpose no one rightfully knew at this point, but slowly they dragged the land bit by bit down. Soon the sparse rocks the Portal Breachers claimed as their own became far and few between, and there wasn't a clue as to why.

Thwp, thwp, thwp.

...It stopped.

SSSSssssllllk! ....CRRRRK!

Suddenly the very rocks everyone had been standing upon where shattered into thousands of rocky shards, their footing now gone and one by one they plummeted to their deaths! Or... what would have been their deaths. The laws of this world were clearly not like Portal Breach and each of them fell with a sickening sensation within their stomachs. Those that had stomachs, that is. They fell, and fell... the wind roaring around them as their free-falling forms passed more rocks, more blackened tendrils. What were they and from where did they come from? The answer would soon come as the Portal Breachers were suddenly greeted with a hardy THUMP!, their bodies instantly smack-dabbed into a large chunk of earth capable of fitting all their size and weight. That couldn't have been pretty... Thankfully no one was harmed or grievously injured even though they had fallen quite a ways down. Wow, that must have been several stories! Wonder why they had fallen...?

This narrator has got to stop asking questions for, lo and behold, they were always answered. And not in a very nice fashion.

Thwp, thwp, thwp.

There was that noise again...

If things weren't possibly bad enough, a massive shadow (and I mean massive) loomed over everyone -- including Prixlezub himself! It was so huge and vast that it felt like the lights had been instantly turned out, but if only... if only...

Upon looking up, the Portal Breachers would discover the scariest thing yet. Not some madman, not a destructive generator, and not even an impossible dimension with no escape routes in sight. It was nothing more than a simple, plain, and ordinary...

...face.

A thirty story tall one, at that.

One moment, the prince was observing the emperor and his minion, taking note of Proxy and Jo who had decided to perch nearby. Hmm, it seemed everyone was here in this place. Already the demon was thinking of who to eat first should it come down to it, settling between Proxy and maybe Jo. Ah, but then Zurg would probably chase him across this barren place for that...CRACK!

The demon roared out in surprise as his rock crumbled under him, the particles floating away and forcing him to fall. At first, the demon was just tumbling through the air, then he righted himself nose-down. It was so strange to fall like this, just flying through emptiness and past rocks. However, the cat in him made the demon started to turn himself about as a patch of rock neared, flipping to his feet with a gyration of his body and few whips of his strong tail. Prixlezub did not brace himself for the fall though, just letting himself land on his feet with a solid THOOM! Rock cracked under him from his colossal weight of 130 tons, making the ground quake around the demon as well. Smoke puffed from the prince's grill as he looked about, seeing Zurg, Lawrence, Jo and Proxy soon follow. He was the heaviest here, so it would make sense he got to the rock first if the physics served right.

Physics were not on the demon's mind though, instead he was soon wondering what that shadow was behind them. Prixlezub growled and crouched down, looking up at the face that was before them. He may not have known what it was, but he had a feeling that it was not something that liked their being there. If anything, it was probably the ruler of this entire plane! So much for the King of the Rocks idea. Pfft. Prixlezub's tail swung slowly behind him. The demon was not going to attack first in this case, instead, content to simply growl at the massive creature and rake his claws through the stone as a warning. Bigger than this thing or not, the demon was not going to let this creature eat him if it wanted.

Smoke and flames rolled from the demon's now spike studded grill, snapping his jaws as he gazed upon the creature with his now six functioning eyes. The people behind him may or may not have taken notice of the large spikes starting to poke their way through his tail, a sign that the demon still had some kind of Dark influence over him. With his size, it would take a while, but damn when he finally turned completely, he would be a very fearsome beast.

Just when Lawrence thought this night couldn't get any worse, it did. The rocks were shattered out from under everyone and they all fell, the butler screaming along with everyone else. They fell for quite a while, more than enough to kill them if this strange place had functioned anything like Portal Breach's reality. When the group finally landed on the huge rock big enough for all of them, it was more like they'd fallen out of bed or something.

Lawrence shakily picked himself up after he landed, looking around at his companions. But before he could say even one more disparaging word to the Evil Emperor, the gigantic monster appeared. The butler stumbled backwards in shock, landing on his rear. The five of them had no chance at defeating something like that, even with how powerful Zurg and Prixlezub were. Even though he somehow managed to hold onto the Ice Shrieker the whole way down, he didn't dare use it, he stowed it and sat there shaking.

Lawrence sounded close to his breaking point as he stared at the giant thing's glowing red eye. "All I wanted was one quiet night with my master and best friend close by. Just one. Was that too much to ask? Was it?" If he were human, he might have been close to tears. As it was, he tore his gaze away from the giant monster and whimpered faintly, hoping whatever it was wouldn't take too long to put him out of his misery.

And before Jo or Proxy knew it, their rock had been dismantled by some foreign hand, with long, back tendrils, grasping at them greedily. Proxy had attempted to jump onto another rock, but before he could even touch down upon it that rock too had also been shattered. They fell, Proxy trying to shield Jo as best as he could and take the fall instead. However, when they touched down, they were both unharmed.

"I gotta hand it to this place. The lack of logic in physics saved us from a real nasty fall." But even Jo's sarcasm couldn't prepare her for the large face that peered down at them. For some reason, its face chilled her. She wouldn't say she was afraid, not exactly, but she was rattled.

"Uh, guys?" she whispered, inching a bit closer to Lawrence and Zurg. "They don't make 'em that big in Portal Breach."

Proxy still kept a protective hand on Jo's shoulder, but couldn't hide his own sarcasm. "I believe that is a gross understatement," he pointed out.

Bwing!

The Evil Emperor quickly skirted away from the shot, his attention fully grabbed at this point. With a whirl he trained his own weapon onto the source of the mysterious shot only to realize that it had come from -- "Lawrence?" Zurg remarked in mild surprise with a scowl. It had been a warning shot, sure, but why shoot at him!? And then there came the comment about being a lesser overlord. Him, a lesser overlord!? The Evil Emperor listened to his minions when it warranted! What in the Cosmos was Lawrence even talking about!? Before the overlord could retort back and scold the butler the same thing that happened to everyone else had happened to him without warning.

....CRRRRK!

The very rock was slashed at from beneath his feet and the Evil Emperor fell as they all fell. What in the dickens!? Fortunately for him he still had his rocket boots and Zurg activated them immediately. They managed to slow his fall just in time and he slowly descended upon the larger platform everyone had already so gracefully fell upon. Remarkable, they were all alive in this place! This place... For once during this entire night the Evil Emperor felt his senses clear. It would reason, then, that perhaps Mister Dark's influence was not as strong here or maybe it hadn't existed at all? Whichever the case, Zurg shook his head and grumbled. "Nnngh... What's going on... Why are we in this place? I... ugh." Why did it hurt to remember? Something... Something about going home? A machine? What!? And why was everyone here? Why was Prixlezub here? He recalled inviting Jo and Proxy to spend the night with Lawrence and himself, but... that was the extent of what he knew! What was going on!? For once the itch within his head was silent.

Zurg didn't get to puzzle it all through as a looming shadow draped over them all, the Evil Emperor snapping to attention and his weapon immediately raised once again.

He saw what they all saw, and the man was certainly startled no matter how hard he tried to save face. "What in the Cosmos is that!?" He demanded, backing up a few alarmed steps. How did that thing get here!? And where was here!? The Evil Emperor remained close to Jo and Lawrence, ready to defend and press an offense if necessary.

What had he done...?

And so everyone lingered before the towering monstrosity before them. It had made no motion, no sound. It simply... loomed there, hovering within the mighty expanse of the void. With those baleful, dull-red eyes it stared down at them; never blinking, never moving. It was like it was studying them, curious. Or... waiting. But waiting for what, was the question. Its body was made to seem as if wrapped within bandage like a mummy, the blackened ribbons the exact same as the tendrils that had carved out the rocks from beneath all their feet. Had it brought them down here on purpose? For what reason, then? And why was it here in a dimension of absolute nothingness?

It just loomed there, waiting. Waiting... waiting... waiting...

What did it want? For some reason this may take all eternity to figure out.

Thwp, thwp, thwp.

Or maybe not. Those same eyes glowed brightly once the Evil Emperor had raised his weapon to it, and the being stirred at last. The ribbons encasing its body hastily unwrapped themselves and writhed within the air, wiggling imposingly. Did it feel threatened? Did it feel angered? Its body was now revealed to be like a moth's, and a red core rested within its chest guarded by a set of interlocking bones. Had it reacted to the weapon? What would it do?

It did nothing at the moment and chose to keep the ribbons remaining within the air like feelers. It didn't act hostile at the moment, but if further provoked...

Hodamn, the thing was getting all tentacly. Prixlezub growled and backed up some, sticking closer to the group and puffing smoke from his grill. The demon really did not want to fight this kind of thing right now, but he had a feeling that they had no choice, especially since Zurg had pulled a gun on it. Maybe that was why it was acting like this. Either way, the prince was not going to let this thing eat him. If the creature was already displaying itself like this, it was only imminent that it would attack. At least, that's how it was in hell. Prixlezub snarled and swayed his tail some, looking at the tentacles flailing around before focusing on the creature's chest. Hmm, that huge red thing there seemed very important. After all, look how it glowed within those ribs it had.

The demon did not like the way the creature was looking at them all, with those glowing eyes and flailing tentacles. Seeing as how it made no effort of communication that the demon could tell, he felt it was not an overlord at all, but a mindless beast. However, the demon was not going to just go in a fury at the creature, that would be folly. So, the prince decided to try something on the beast. Keeping his distance, the demon built up some fire in his maw, the flames flickering out from around his teeth and around his face. Smoke rolled from both his maw and grill as he took aim, looking at the red orb in the creature's chest. After a moment or two of aiming and allowing his fire to build up, the prince opened that treacherous maw of his.

A blazing fireball 7000 degrees fahrenheit in temperature launched forth from the demon's maw with explosive force, creating a wave of heat that could be felt all around from the fireball's temperature. Crimson and yellow fire crackled through the air, looking as if the depths of hell itself had coughed it up and out the demon's mouth. Waves of heat could be seen swirling about the fireball even from where the group stood, the great inferno flying straight for the orb on the creature's chest.

Fire Tongue:

Prixlezub can breathe fire in torrents, bursts, ribbons, tongues and even shoot fireballs from his maw and grill. The fire itself is around 4000 degrees Celsius, or around 7000 degrees Fahrenheit. This is above the melting point of diamond.

three dice, one coin. If the coin HITS a status die is rolled for the duration of the burn. A separate coin that is half of Prix's level will be rolled to determine the damage for that amount of turns.

EX: the coin hits, the status die rolls 3. Prix then rolls a 10 on the 11-15 die. For three turns, the opponent will receive 10 damage for the burn damage.

(costs 5 AP)

Lawrence blinked in surprise at Zurg's reaction. The Evil Emperor didn't remember how they'd all gotten here? Well, that certainly explained a few things, but it probably wouldn't help them escape. Still, the butler felt slightly better at hearing that; he was hoping Zurg wasn't as far gone as he seemed earlier.

As much as he didn't want to fight the gigantic beast in front of them, it seemed there wasn't a choice given the reaction when Zurg pointed his gun at it. And of course Prixlezub jumped right to the attack, though he was at least smart enough to try attacking from a distance first. The butler sighed wearily and got back to his feet, survival protocols demanding him to stand and fight alongside the others.

Lawrence brought his Ice Shrieker back out of his internal storage, or at least he tried to. Weirdly enough, as opposed to his gun, the Chronoscepter appeared in his left hand. He stared at it in confusion for a moment, but then his Quantum Actuator started feeding instructions to his processor again. These weren't instructions to seal anything, not this time; the butler was being told how to actually damage the enemy before him. The weak point was obvious enough that it didn't need to be pointed out, but breaking through it was easier said than done.

Lawrence pointed the Chronoscepter at the giant monster, an odd runic circle appearing at his feet. The runes started glowing and so did the business end of the staff, starting to gather the required quantum energy from the surrounding area. It took quite a bit of focus to do this, but not so much that the butler couldn't alert the others to his plan. "I-I may be able to badly damage it; keep it distracted until I have a clear shot, please!"
