A game of Cat and Mouse (bloodscream, zippy, and those invited or those who ask)

Post by Bloodscream on Sun Jan 09, 2011 8:16 pm

Far too easy by any means, almost to the point it insulted his professional reputation. Bloodscream cast the thought away as he began to approach the large comlex. A pleased grin spread across his face in a most unpleasant way. Regardless of how easy the task had been, the reward that would await him for capturing the woman would be insurmountable.

A rusted door in the docking zone of the abandoned factory made for a convenient and well hidden entrance. The old hinges squeaked horribly as the door was opened and then shut. The loud noise worried him and just to make sure Bloodscream shifted his young captive off of his shoulder to look at her.

Good, she was still asleep, the coliform was indeed doing it's job. Lifting her back onto his shoulder the man for hire made his way deep into the belly of the factory. It was by sheer luck that he had found this place, truly it was a gift sent to him to allow him to go through with his plans. What was his plan exactly? Why simple pleasure, long had it been since he had been able to truly show the darker side of himself, Portal Breach had robbed him of that certain freedom. So now he would do the one thing he so rarely ever did, the one thing he had often berated roughhouse for, indulgence. He would toy with the lady, and as her fear and panic grew he would drink it in, drink in whatever he could. It had been far too long since he had been allowed to simply enjoy the fear that he could inflict in others and he was not going to miss a single minute of it.

Finally, they reached the makeshift room he had put together for just such an occasion. A single lightbulb provided little light to the dreary room, and as he laid the sleeping woman on the old cot he couldn't help but notice how it made her skin appear green. Sick. Deceased. Not a very pleasing color by any standard, however it would no doubt help to add to the dramatic intensity of the entire situation.

She was still asleep thankfully as bloodscream pulled away from her and made his way towards the door. He cast a look back at her and felt himself grin again, oh yes this was indeed going to be a fun game.

As he shut the door he did not bother to even lock it, zippy's room was in the middle of the large factory, and there was no reason to. After all the idea was not to keep her prisoner, but to enjoy the fear that he could inflict in her as he watched her struggle to escape.

And he would defiantly be watching. With that bloodscream closed the door and disappeared into the bowels of the complex. Soon zippy would wake up, and then the game would begin.

Somehow, the girl stayed knocked out through the whole trip. Maybe it wasn't that far between the Sanctuary and the warehouse, but she didn't know that. Her body was limp, almost like a little rag doll. Except, with piercings and tattoos, and a different hairstyle; and her clothes weren't very doll-like...she groaned upon being laid on the cot, then laid there perfectly still.

After a bit, her body began to stir. Zippy slowly opened her eyes, scanning the room. Ohshit. This was like something from a horror movie. And not one of the bad ones-one that made you scream. She shot up, her head spinning suddenly. "Oh...shit." This was not good. Wait, how had she gotten here? Her mind raced, trying to figure out what it could be. Bloodscream? Doom? Some other creeper she didn't know about? Oh shit, what if it was that guy she had helped Barry kill, getting revenge? She whimpered and pulled her knees to her chest, waiting for something, anything. And she waited.

However, an energetic being such as herself cannot wait that long before curiosity gets the best of her. She stood up, looking around the room before creeping to the door. It surprised her when she tried to open it, and it wasn't locked. Was this some kind of game?! Pfft! Tying her hair back into a ponytail-luckily, it wasn't pink right now, but brunette-she snuck out, looking around before darting to the right, looking desperately for a window.

Bloodscream had taken to waiting in the security room of the factory, it had taken alot of work. But he had finally been able to get the camera's working again, allowing him to view all angles of the factory.

Motion on the screen to his right caught his attention and bloodscream looked up from the sword he had been sharpening. Zippy was awake and on the move.

A grin spread onto his face, it looked like the game had begun. Putting the sword away bloodscream rose from his seat and left the security room. Silently he moved through the complex, seeking out his captive.

He stopped silently on a catwalk far above zippy, from above he watched her as she searched desperatly for a way out. Next to his boot bloodscream noticed a small bolt, with a devilish look he gave the bolt a small nudge off the ledge and moved further down the catwalk as the bolt clattered against pipes and drains noisily all the way down the floor.

God dammit, where was a window or a door? She hugged herself, not liking this at all. This was worse than the sewers-at least there she knew why she was down there, and Barry was there to help her. Here? Nothing. No reason to pretend to be brave, nobody to save her. Even if she did pretend to be tough, in a situation like this, it was hard not to panic. Taking a deep breath, she tried to keep the facade up, her heart pounding and all the worse-case scenarios playing in her head.

And then-something fell. She screamed, and took off running in the opposite direction. She didn't want to know what that was, she didn't care. The further away she could get from it, the better. She hid behind a large piece of machinery...something like a boiler, and tried to calm herself. She was breathing too quickly, and not thinking right. If she could keep her thoughts together, she'd be fine. Right? Right.

Oh how delightful~ The sound of her scream as she began to run, the high shrill cry was music to his ears. Bloodscream stalked after her in pursuit. From high in the pipes and cat walks he watched her, like a large black monster waiting to pounce.

As she ducked behind the boiler bloodscream allowed himself to fall from his perch, he was like a spider, like a shadow skittering across the floor and over to the boiler. He was on the opposite side of her, completely out of her view, and she completely out of his. However despite not being able to see her he could well tell she was there.

The sound of her rapid breathing, the smell of her fear in the air, intoxicated by the scent bloodscream allowed a small slip in self control and let his forehead rest against the cool metal of the boiler, his sharp nails making lines in the metal as he dragged his hand across.

Oh yes, there was a monster right behind thou my lady. A monster that will feed on thine fear, thou shouldst be afraid. For I shall take great delight in striking terror in you today.

Bloodscream let his nails truly dig into the metal this time, creating a horrible screech not unlike nails upon a chalk board before descending back up into the darkness of the pipes and catwalks.

yes dear lady, the monster hast found thee, now what shall thou do?

Zippy leaned against the wall, closing her eyes and breathing, her chest going up and down as she breaethed heavily. Her lungs felt like they could explode. She was getting to worked up about this. Yes, that's right. She needed to stay calm, not freak out. The girl ran her hand down her face, feeling sweat along her hairline.

It was probably just her imagination giving her the run around. Right, nothi-NAILS. Oh god. Zippy screeched at the top of her lungs, and jumped. "OHFUCKTHATSHIT!" She clenched her fists, her short nails digging into her palm so deeply she bled a little. She swung her fist fists, manipulating the energy around her to form two larger fists and 'punched' the boiler, hoping it'd hit the creep hiding and mindfucking her. Not bothering to see how it worked out, she fled, twisting and turning through the pipes, hoping to find a better hiding spot. Shit was getting serious.

Well this was a pleasant surprise indeed, Bloodscream thought to himself as he pulled the piece of shrapnel out from above his brow. The boiler had exploded, the piece of shrapnel that had logged itself in his head was about four inches long.

Bloodscream examined the metal shard before grinning, the cut above his eyebrow slowly stitching itself back together.

So it appeared that the lady had more bite than she let on. How utterly delicious this game was becoming.

Discarding the shard bloodscream gave chase, he would not let her escape just yet, not quiet yet. Right now they were three floors underground, where most of the stock was kept. Two floors up was the docking area and the door that led to freedom, but anything could happen before she reached that.

After all, once out of the main factory area there was the simple corridors that led to nearly infinite offices. A easy place to be lost in.

Run fast my little lady, a monster is coming for thee He whispered quietly, he knew she could not here him with the distance in between them, but it made him smile horribly none the less.

His footsteps echoed on the pipes above her head.

Wait, why had she done something so stupid?! She hit herself on the head, cursing herself for not thinking. That wasn't going to help her. If anything make her more interesting-seriously, for some reason, it seemed to catch the attention of certain people. Curses. She looked around, spotting some stairs. "Oh thank God," She whispered. Finally, a way out. Hopefully. Her luck couldn't be that bad, could it? Oh wait, she'd gotten kidnapped. Of course it was. She started towards the steps, until she heard the footsteps.

"Hn..." Maybe there were more stairs elsewhere. She shrunk back into the shadows, following along the walls, careful not to trip. She looked up, trying to catch a glimpse of the stalker, and maybe a possible exit. Maybe she could shimmy on up a pipe, rather than use the steps. What a good idea. She gripped one of the pipes and began climbing up, sneaking as quietly as her clothing allowed, her boots making dull noises against the metal. "Finally..." She took a deep breath as she got her shoulders through an opening, resting her palms behind her and lifting. She didn't see anything at the moment, so maybe she could make a get away. Maybe-wait. Her hips were a bit big for that hole. "Shiiiiiiiiiit!"

Well, what great luck. She squirmed around, trying to get free before she was caught in a bad spot. After a few moments, and getting sore hips, she fell back and laid on the fround, staring at the next level. "I'm never going to get out of here." How long had it taken her to get here? She clenched her eyes closed and let out a quiet sob. Get ahold of yourself, idiot.

Following the delicious scent of fear Bloodscream trailed her from above. He climbed to a higher level as he heard her begin to approach the stairs, the last thing he needed was for her to see him.

However she did not come into view and bloodscream's brow folded from confusion. Where was she? Following the scent of fear again bloodscream descended back down into the lowers levels to see zippy attempting to shimmy her way up the poles. In a effort to avoid running into him by not using the stairs.
    ,
Bloodscream couldn't help it, he smiled again cruelly, such a clever young woman, such a interesting little mouse. He watched her climb, watched her get stuck. Watched her slump to the ground.

The immortals amusement started to dwindle however as she began to cry, tears were always amusing yes, to reduce prey to crying out of fear was something he found especially delicious. But tears always meant that they toy was breaking, that they were starting to crumble under the fear.

That always meant that the game was coming to a close, and that was something that bloodscream did not feel like letting happen just yet.

Perhaps something to bring out her rage. Bloodscream climbed to where the young woman lay. This was probably a bad idea, even for a game as enticing as this, in the end it could be his undoing. But it had been so long, and the game had just started, it couldn't end just yet.

Moving swiftly the pseudo-vampire covered the crying womans eyes, pressing down, keeping her head against the ground, keeping her from seeing him.

"Giving up so easily, my Lady?"

Quiting seemed so much easier. It really did, and at that moment, she wasn't sure why she shouldn't quit. She swallowed hard, still pondering when she felt her head being pushed down, her sight cut off.

"Giving up so easily, my Lady?"

Oh, that freakin' creeper. She bared her teeth, feeling more motivated now. "Get the fuck away from me." The fear was still there, her heart pounding so loud as fast she could feel it in her head. At the same time, though, she knew she couldn't let him see her fall to pieces. She hadn't been raised to be a coward, and she'd be damned if she completely gave up now.

She kneed him in the gut trying to get him off of her. This couldn't possibly end well, she was positive she'd be getting hurt; but she would give him a fight. She felt disgusted by herself for almost quiting, reminded of that guy she had gone with Barry to kill. He had given up so easily, and she felt that it made him a waste of life. How dare she stoop to that level. She was better than that.

The knee to his gut missed, but only because he moved to avoid it. Though he doubted it would be anywhere near strong enough to cause too much damage getting kneed never was a fun experience.

Bloodscream swiftly retreated from the girl, giving her her space. His plan had been successful, her spirit was returning with her anger. The old immortal stood across from her now, giving her at least ten feet away from him. His posture appeared relaxed, as if everything that was going on was perfectly normal, however beneath the calm exterior he was anxious to see what fear he could draw out of his victim next.

He gave a humorless smile to his young prey. "Such spirit dear Lady, tis a relief to see that thou posses strength still, I had begun to fear that thine will to live and fight was leaving you."

His humorless smile became a smirk. "Such a boring game then this wouldst become"

It didn't hit, but at least it got him away from her. She shuddered, sitting up and scooting away from him, glaring. What kind of sick freak was he? She slowly stood up, never taking her eye off him. Who knew what kind of sick, twisted trick he'd try if she didn't keep her eye on him? After wiping her eyes and smearing her eyeliner, she looked around. Where to go?

What a twisted compliment. She sneered. "Game, huh?" Fine. If he wanted to have some fun, she'd give it to him. Freakin' creeper. With that, she took off running as fast as she could, her boots hitting the floor with a loud thud; twisting and turning to weave through the maze of a place. She wasn't sure if he'd chase her, stalk her or just play more mind tricks, but hopefully it wouldn't come down to a fight. She knew she couldn't stand up to him. Not in this state, this place. He probably knew it better than she did.

She cleared a pipe like a hurdle, dropping to her hands and knees, crawling beneath some more, surveying the lay of the floor. Where were the blasted stairs?

Bloodscream counted to ten in his head before giving chase. He could practically taste the fear and disgust coming from her. The fear was divine, even the disgust at him was a pleasure, and the scents created a path straight to her.

It was amusing to watch her jump and crawl amoungst the pipes as if they were a obscure obstacle coarse.

She was obviously looking for the way out. But appeared to be having difficulty, perhaps he should give her a hand then.

"Dear lady, thou appear to be lost," He mocked her, "mayhap I may be of assistance" Bloodscream tapped a sign to the right of his head with his knuckle. On the sign was a picture of stairs with a arrow pointing up, the stairs to the next floor were close and all she had to do to get to them was to go past him.

Bloodscream gave a cruel smile to her, wondering if she had the courage to run past him.
