Romac the Grounder, clad in his classic biker outfit, killed his hover bike and hopped off to admire the sound of his studded boots crunching upon the fertile earth. Such a tranquil, easygoing day. With a deep inhale the Grounder let out a content sigh and watched the clouds go by and the sun's rays streak down. "Ahhh, can't find this on Tradeworld. Now, where to... Ah-hah!"

He pointed a thick thumb at a spot not too far, a rather lovely grassy knoll, and the Grounder headed to it. The reason he came out today was to meditate and sort out his thoughts, the young man taking a seat upon the warm patch and crossing his legs. It was always good to mediate. Now, to begin. He brought his arms to rest over his criss-crossed legs and Romac closed his eyes, penetrating the very workings of his being.

And of course, right when some innocent guy was trying to get everything sorted out, Barry had to be around, crouching down in the thicker and longer grass like a tiger ready to pounce. Ahh, a perfect scene; no one was around, no one would even see this guy or find him for a week at most. This area was open, yet empty.

"Alright... that's a good one." The cloaked armor turned and cackled softly, looking at Zippy. "This'll be yer first test." Barry turned his head back and looked at the strange alien, not really caring who or what he was. All he knew was that he'd be a perfect test subject. Poor bastard.

"First thing's first; got yer weapon and cloak up?" he asked, not taking his eyes off Romac, glaring at him like a hawk watching fish in a stream.

Some guy wondering around by himself? That wasn't a good idea. Zippy gave Barry thumbs up to show she got the idea. Test. Right. "Sounds like a plan..." she mumbled quietly, tapping the bracelet.

With a grin, she hit the button, the hologram giving her the appearence of a cute, and maybe ditzy, blonde with bright green eyes. 'Curls' fell over her shoulders, and she wore a long grey sweater over black jeans that tucked into some faux-fur trimmed leather boots. "I can do better than a cloack." She grabbed her machete from behind her, nodding at Barry. "Ready when you are."

She'd let Barry lead, not quite sure what her part in all this would be.

Meanwhile, Romac had no idea he was being watched. The Grounder was in a deep trance, his brow furrowed in the uttermost concentration. Why would anyone want to harm a poor, lone man trying to piece the puzzle of his own existence?

Barry decided to try a damsel-in-distress distraction! Those were always fun. He let out a soft cackle and turned to Zippy, "Alright, I have an idea. Make yerself look hurt and run out towards him screamin' 'help', and I'll be pretendin' to attack ya." He paused for a moment in thought. "Once I get a few hits in him, you start attackin', too. How's that sound?" he asked the girl with a slight enjoyment and devious tune to his voice.

It had been a bit since he got to kill anything, and why not start off the new year with a killing? "Once you're ready, start, k?"

...was it because she's blonde she had to play that part? Zippy rolled her eyes but grinned, handing her machete to him. "Don't forget that."

Tosseling her 'hair' she pinched her cheeks making them red and blinked a bunches of times until she was teary eyed. She started breathing quickly and let out a blood curdling scream before running towards the alien, glancing over her shoulder in fake horror and screaming again. "HELP! HELP ME! YOU HAVE TO HELP ME! HE'S GOING TO KILL ME!" She screamed, falling as she got closer to the strange man. That wasn't on purpose, but it helped her, and she continued screaming and sobbing as she rolled onto her back, scooting away and continuing to beg the alien for help.

"You have to help me-e-e-e-e!" She sobbed louder and looked towards Barry's direction, still in horror.

"Help me!"

Romac's eyes whipped open in a flash, the Grounder already scrambled to his feet and a hand upon his blaster out of a habit. "What in the--!?" He saw a hysterical young woman being attacked by a cloaked attacker and immediately Romac felt his palms sweat. Where had these people come from before? And why were they here? Two people just don't come out of nowhere and attack each other on an open plain!

Something wasn't right here... but that woman needed help! And now!

"Alright, that's enough!" He unclipped his blaster and set it onto terminate, the barrel glowing yellow-hot. It was time to fry some creeps. Romac fired three shots at the mysterious attack and strafed.

Woah, this guy didn't dick around. Seemed like a heroic guy. Shame.
Barry looked at his arm and the smoke coming from it from one of the shots, rubbing it quickly to stop the smoking. "Alright, ya wanna play that way, huh?" he let out a low growl and jumped out from the thick brush of grass, eyesight stuck on Romac, cleaver ready in hand and stained with blood. Not fresh, but old blood of course. He kept up his quiet facade as he walked over to Romac, sort of like a robotic, which is what he wanted him to think he was.

Once he got close enough, he jumped towards Romac, slashing his arms with his cleaver.

Finally, all those horror movies paid off! Yeah! She kept sobbing, crawling away from the action until Barry gave her the go-ahead. See how long she could play this horrendous role. C'mon Barry! This might be harder than she thought.

She continued to mumble things about him going to kill her, and that the alien needed to help her. The teen buried her face in her arms, laying in a heap on the group, trembling. Occasionally she'd peek over to see how Barry was doing, trying hard not to root him on just yet. "C'mon, Barry, hit him..." she whispered softly.

Blast, a blade!

Romac barely dodged the rest of the slashes, but his feet didn't fail him and the Grounder got out in the nick of time. A cleaver, huh, and stained. This guy was no joke, but why out here... why him. He grit his teeth and his mind pulsed, veins throbbing and the sounds of the world turning into silence.

"My turn." Romac closed his eyes and fired twin blasts of mental energy at his opponent, no longer holding back.

Zippy was doing fine, and... Romac closed his eyes. What? Barry just did a simple backflip and sidestep from the shots, cling to his cleaver, eyes still fixated on Romac. Seemed he had something up his sleeve, though Barry didn't know what. Either way, he jumped at the man again and slashed twice before putting a hand to his chest, his spiked bracelets turning rapidly and releasing an electrical attack. Boy, he really loved using those electrical attacks. They were fun and useful~

"Maybe closing your eyes wasn't the best of ideas, no?" Barry stated in a fake accent and lower voice from his own.
