Kev nodded politely, although he was still extremely curious. He'd probably find out in due time, he'd wait. Or he might never find out. He didn't mind though.

"That's fine Proxy~ Although, like I said, I think whatever this promise is, you should think about it for a while, and listen to your instincts before doing anything permanent."

"I think I will. Or at least try to breach the subject with... the loved one," he finally decided.

He extended a hand to him then, in an imitation of offering a handshake. "Thank you, Kev-Mak-Tarr. You have been a great assistance to me. Now, do you need help in anything? I would like to repay you for the kindness and patience you showed me."

"Sounds like a good plan Proxy." Kev nodded, shaking the robot's hand. Kev tilted his head, trying to think of something he'd need help with, when he thought of it.

"Proxy.....if someone you loved, wanted you to do something somewhat against your culture, what would you do? Stay true to what you've been taught? Or give in to what your loved one wants?" Kev asked, looking at the suddenly very interesting wall. He felt a bit awkward asking Proxy this, but he had been thinking of it for a long while, and he wanted to hear a new opinion on this.

Proxy was silent for several moments, contemplating Kev's matter. "I would personally say it depends on the situation. If your loved one is important to you, it would be fair to be more... loose about some matters. But culture is also very important," he added. "And the way I understand it is, if your loved one loves you enough, they will understand that your culture is important to you and you should not forsake it."

His single eye blinked again. "...Was I of some assistance?"

Kev thought over what Proxy said, fiddling with his hands a bit. What Proxy said agreed with what he was thinking on this matter. If she really loved him, she'd respect his decision. And if she didn't...they'd try to work things out, but he'd still keep to what he was taught. He really hoped she could understand though. He was the last of his kind, the only one here who knew of his culture. He wanted to respect it, and make sure it wouldn't just die, float away in the dust to be forgotten. That'd be disrespectful to his people.

Kev nodded at Proxy gratefully."Yeah, you assisted some Proxy~ Thanks....so uh, what do we do now?" Kev asked, slightly eager to change the subject.

"I am glad," Proxy replied, standing slightly more erect, obviously happier. "Shall we research comics now? I grow tired of trying to understand the true nature of djinn..." There were too many abstract notions for him to grasp at the moment. He would have to finish his research on religions before researching djinn, he had realized.

"I stopped trying to understand 'djinni's. Too confusing." Kev said with a shrug. He liked Delila, but the nature of her and her curse were EXTREMELY confusing. Kev nodded at Proxy's idea to research comics together.

"Here, you can pick comics from this pile to research!" Kev said, splitting his pile in half and sliding them towards Proxy's end of the table, making sure not to hit Proxy's piles as it went. Kev flipped open the comic about the alien, called Superman. Kev read the comic excitedly. "Wow!! Superman has so many powers! Like super strength and laser vision! And leaping over buildings in a single bound! And flying! That is AMAZING!" Kev tittered excitedly, flipping through the pages with great interest.

If Proxy had a mouth, he would have opened it by now to explain to Kev that all those feats this 'Superman' could do could be easily achieved in a laboratory--for he in fact had all of those attributes--but the personality chip seemed to be doing its work, for he didn't want to hurt Kev's feelings with his remark and decided that silence was the best approach here.

Proxy looked down at the comic book on top of his pile. The title read 'Batman' and depicted a man dressed in gray-black clothing, standing atop a rooftop overlooking a city. He flipped it open and began to scan the contents.

"Do these... comics only consist of pictures and words?" he wondered out loud. Why, he could read something like this in five minutes. Probably even less, but he was actually taking the time to look at the pictures too. "Curious..."

"Yeah, I think they are." Kev answered, still reading excitedly. He had come upon a part where Superman had met up with a woman named Lois Lane, although he didn't look like he had in the beginning of the comic. He was wearing a suit and had a pair of glasses. And yet they were talking about what Superman had just done. And she was calling him Clark. How strange....did Superman not want people to know who he really was?

"Wow...Superman keeps his identity as Superman a secret from people!! But...he doesn't do it really good at all. All he did was change his clothes and put glasses on! He even has the same hair style! That's not smart at all!" Kev said, arching his brow at the comic. He still liked it, but that was just a very stupid thing to do! He could at least try doing more then putting on glasses.

"True," Proxy agreed. "This Batman does similarly. He doesn't seem to change his speech pattern or demeanor when he is in his alternate identity. Though I do believe the mask makes it harder to tell than your Superman," he added, peering over Kev's shoulder at what he was reading, then showing him his own copy.

He kept browsing through his issue, and came upon a man colored white with green hair and purple clothing. "...Purple seems to be commonly associated with evil. Interesting..." he noted. Now what did that remind him of? It didn't take a genius to figure it out.

Proxy looked at his comic and then showed him the Batman comic he had. Kev inspected it and nodded.

"Yeah, that 'Batman' guy has half of his head covered, that's MUCH better then just glasses." Kev said with a small snort, continuing through his comic. He looked back up at Proxy's comment about purple and evil. "Hmm...you have a point...that's too bad, purple is a great color~" Kev said, remembering that the Joker that was here had purple clothes, as did Facilier, and, of course, Zurg. The bad guy in here had a black suit on, he was apparently named Lex Luthor, so that didn't seem to apply here.

"...I am not fond of the color," Proxy admitted, noting the bald man in a crisp business suit in Kev's comic. At least he wasn't wearing purple.

He looked back at his comic and came across a fight scene. He whirred momentarily, in the imitation of a laugh. "...Curious." Normal laws of physics didn't seem to apply to these comics. A mans limbs simply could not bend that way--nor did aerodynamics work that way. "Very, very curious..."

"Aaah. What IS your favorite color Proxy?" Kev asked curiously. Kev turned the page in his comic and noticed that Luthor was holding up....a yellow crystal? Called Kryptonite? Huh, the name sounded similar to his home planet's name. Kev showed the page to Proxy questioningly.

"How in the world is this little crystal hurting Superman? The text says its Kryptonite, and that is harmful to Superman because of his Alien heritage, but I don't get it. As far as I know, other aliens don't usually have a special stone that makes them so weak."

"I rather like... light blue," he admitted, fingering his armor thoughtfully. "It is a nice color. And you?" Proxy wondered whether there was any significance behind colors and whether it was customary for organics to speak about such matters and judge others by their choices. Another subject the robot would have to research.

He tilted his head and looked down at the page Kev showed him. He blinked, thinking. "Perhaps it is not so much the stone as it is the substance the stone is made from that injures him. An allergic reaction, perhaps?" He had heard that some allergic reactions could cause death--perhaps this was the case here.

"Oooh light blue, that's pretty!! Hmm.....as well as light purple, I like dark green, and light green. And medium green too! Might as well just say green in general." Kev snickered. "It makes me think of a fertile forest~"

Kev tilted his head as he listened to Proxy's explanation. "Hmm, that makes sense~ Thanks Proxy!" Kev said, turning back to his comic eagerly. How horrible though, his enemy had a substance that he was allergic to, and was using it to try and kill him! It looked like it was succeeding too! Kev read the pages quickly, hoping that Superman wouldn't go down so easily, and indeed he didn't! Kev placed the comic down as he finished it, happy the ending was happy. He turned to Proxy as he grabbed another comic up, one of the strangely drawn 'mangas'. "What's going on in your comic Proxy?" Kev asked, keeping his new comic closed for the time being.
